India which has been there from last 800 years speaking from Air Sharie asine which just concluded 812th annual Ur muar of Hassan chishi n and our honorable prime minister sh narend Modi G has sent a message of Peace a letter uh uh of on behalf of 140 crores Indians to a Sharif
As well as aad just a week back and uh having the French President Emanuel macron at HZ nudin aah which is a symbol of unconditional love as the teachings of nudin aah is that uh we are the Weavers of unity because he asked for always tread and and and a needle so
That they can tread uh they can weave the unity and Harmony among the society so these are the profine teachings which would surely amplify with this visit of state had and I think uh it is also amplify India’s position on spiritual cultural heritage as as as a major uh
Soft power initiative on on behalf of India to the message around the world and when we talk about the European context uh especially when we talk about France it has its own challenges as well it has a has a has a large from different neighboring countries I think
The Sufi Heritage around the world is when we talk about uh India is one of one of the most prominent uh Center for Spiritual understanding from Kashmir to kanyakumari and that is one of the talking talking points when we had met uh our honorable prime minister at his
Residents uh before receiving the father Mubarak for Shar and and we and he was very much uh keen on portraying India as as the spiritual center and we talk about the spiritual tourism when people talk about Sufism India should be positioning itself as number one destination with world class
Infrastructure that we have the centuries and centuries old Heritage across India so having just a week after French president at this uh uh such a special place where people from all Faith all communities and all religion come together and unite the uh and celebrate the unity and diversity of our
Blessed Nation India it’s a very important message and and I think it is it will go a long way in positioning India’s uh the message that we’ve shared in G20 uh which was one world one family you the the the important aspect is that you know we talk about Sufism we talk
About it in Bollywood we talk about it in you know musical festivals we promote it there is obviously a lot of interest in Commerce around it but what do you think has you know prevented Sufism from becoming a global phenomena well I think uh uh when we talk about
Peace unity and Harmony it is often because of The Sensational aspect of any violence and uh when we talk about when the world knows about the the radicalization and and uh so this is what Su Sufism completely denounce I think this is a time that we have to
Sens sens sensationalize the message of peace through media platform through the through this important visit and and uh India is in in in in the best position to amplify this throughout the world with the presence of great Sufi AAS when we talk about and and the message of
Peace that has been resonating from here from last 800 years we just hosted about close to a million people in a darar Shar from all Faith traditions and and and now that the world uh leaderships are acknowledging the presence of Sufi uh duras across India spiritual centers
And with this state visit it will surely amplify not from India to the world the message of Oneness Unity as we have talked about when we talk about ad from kmir and AD Shankar the message of Oneness it is similar to the teachings of what has taught profound
And even today it has been om present in how how does this also reflect on the government which has been accused time and again of uh you know catering to the majority I think this is only uh uh a propaganda of a section of the media especially the foreign media which
Portrays that people across India are being marginalized or there is a situation between the minority and the majority but when we talk about the top leadership as we have been welcome at the Prime Minister residence with the message that has been read out not only to the Muslim Community but to 140
Crores Indian at DM which is the message of spiritual tradition honoring the spiritual traditions of India I think this is very important and this gives a right straight up answer to those uh uh platforms who portray in the negative stance of what is happening across India
So this is a very profound and very powerful message across the world from India absolutely let me also rope in major Mohammad Ali sha into this conversation he’s a former Soldier uh a very astute thinker and of course uh somebody who represents Islam at uh a
Very uh astute and a very uh educated level Ali what do you make of this Outreach this is obviously uh you know not something which can be considered a flash in the and uh this reflects upon the government this reflects upon Sufism and you know the current state of Islam
In India and Muslims in India for that matter as well and of course Mr macron is going to take the same message back to France it’s going to be taken back to Europe and we know the kind of division uh that you know some of the immigration
Policies have created in Europe at this point in time do you concur Ali yes vit I concur 100% And firstly thank you for having me on your show and the Very fact is it always it also gives a very nice pleasant um positive message in fact of secularism India is a secular
Country all religions are treated with equal respect and as uh Mr Salman say Salman sa chish just rightly said that you know basically the foreign media actually propagates that what’s happening in India it’s unsafe for minorities and such things I disagree to that V completely it is I think the best
Country for minorities is actually India come what may irrespective of what one sees and what one do what one does now the very fact is you know I uh since the French President had gone to the D and he heard Kali he enjoyed the kalies over there my grandfather was in the my
Paternal grandfather was in the civil services he was the administrator of the ajmir Sharif D in fact saman sha sa is familiar with him Ali Mohammad sha was his name he still uh after so many years and decades he still holds that reputation in air so the very fact is I
Had grown up hearing stories about how people from different Fates different Religion different nationalities they come to the air Shar D and how people come there to pay their respect which is open for all religions all communities and in Sufism especially over here like KAAL okay Kali KAAL is basically drive
From the Arabic word initially what if my knowledge is right uh the there were no musical instruments initially which were supposed to be prohibited they were and the the Kali was to be done in Vu Wu is after cleaning yourself and uh it had

The sui Saint he was the uh he was the of Amir the okay all right those are good lessons in history but I want to understand your perspective on this right so my perspective on this is the most I think it’s a very very good move
By the government also and it shows that we are secular the very fact is are the secular fabric of India that’s what if we see we are these are five fingers there a there’s a there’s a fist beneath now all five fingers are different when
I pinch them it becomes a punch I can give a knockout punch but if one finger gets damaged then we cannot tighten our fist as S S Ahmed Khan once said also the found of Al Muslim University Hindu or musliman yeah so the very fact when we have a foreign
Representative when we have a chief guest from France from a different country it can be from any country it conveys a very nice message and also France you know it has been accused of the diverse things and very anti-muslim STS and such thing but here we have the

Very timely other considering what’s going on at this point in time in the Middle East yeah absolutely you know as you as one question what prevented Sufism to spread and get its rightful place especially in the Muslim world so I just wanted to answer that the radicalization and the fundamentalis prevented Sufi started
Abusing Sufi and they didn’t succeed in 30 40 years again across Middle East now Sufism is being appreciated adopted being adopted and it is being educated you know the power of suis was so much that mamir when gurun nanak G wanted to get L the foundation of golden temple
He wanted the most po most spiritual person and he bought mamir who basically laid the foundation of Guru bahadur same way buesa and Baba Farid so the whole continent was in engulfed in Sufi just 30 40 years back just from Iran to Afghanistan to Kashmir to whole of India Pakistan and Bangladesh now
Again it is Reviving and Indian government and Indian Sufi Center they are have a important role to spread love and in this atmosphere the hatred the irritation the irritant things should be eliminated to make the life of Indian as well other people happy so in that regard Sufism
Can lead a very important role to achieve that and in that way this government and our honorable prime minister is appreciating and focusing and promoting Sufism which is a very welcome thing that’s what I have to say all right well you’re absolutely right about that that you know there is
A lot of room chis shab uh to promote Sufism at a global scale what can the central government do at this point in time uh you know we’ve had one leader go here perhaps you know it should become a norm to promote our centers uh of culture our centers of History through
Such visits because they have a huge PR impact as well throughout the world well absolutely I agree with janab sa and Mohammad Ali sha sa what they have presented so uh you know eloquently the importance of Sufism and the Revival that is happening across the world
Because it is it is ultimately it’s it’s the peace that can give contentment to the heart and the sufis have always focused on the heart no action no words and no tradition should break a human heart if that does then it is neither a part of any faith any practices or any
Tradition I think this is the right time that India has position S as as in the leadership way from the Global Leadership Summit that we have just concluded as as G20 the message has gone right there and I think uh we have been receiving we have been personally I have
Traveled more than 100 countries represented India and air Sharif uh in in terms of interfaith and spiritual dialogues and over the years we have received uh you know president ashra gani s has also sent the CH during this time before the before the fall of the government and likewise other world
Leaders have always been appreciating and I think this is a Time Ministry of external Affairs and I’m I’m very glad that uh the visit was accompanied by honorable honorable uh foreign minister janab J Shankar sa a man of deep insight and student who have led India into the
Global dialogue I think mea must be uh I’m sure they they are looking at the perspective of whenever the foreign heads of States comes to India uh you know other than all the other places that they visit of course from the official dialogue I think if they visit to these sacred
Institution which are of course 700 to 800 years old like a Sharif or ninia and even D in pikri I think that is more important than visiting any wonders of the world because we India can be truly placed into the spiritual wonders of the world and this is a time to reclaim our
Legacy of the spiritual wonders of the world not just looking at the uh seven wonders of the world but India can truly place itself as the spiritual wonder of the world and world leaders visit to such places can truly stamp that into the global uh into the Global Citizens
And Global uh community that what India holds as the spiritual and the Sufi Legacy so I’m sure there are plan on ways in the coming in in the coming months that we would expect more of such head of state visits uh to nin to air Sharif and likewise Ali
