This teaching and we’re going to pray we thank God for everybody that’s here today and most gracious Heavenly Father we thank you for this time we thank you for this season we thank you for life health and strength God I thank you for all that have tuned in and all that
Around this uh conference table and God I ask you to decrease me and increase them me that I might speak Herald preach Proclaim teacher unadulterated gospel with power and Clarity God we say thank you for another opportunity to learn about your holy R and and learn about
Your precepts and your examples we say thank you God Hallelujah for allowing the Holy Ghost to come and illuminate our minds and our hearts God we say thank you God for giving us a ear to hear what the spirit is saying unto your church God we thank you for all of this
In Jesus name everybody say amen amen amen we thank God for all of you can we talk and can we listen and and I’m excited about what the Lord is doing with this because indeed we are in a season where we need to be talking uh spreading the word of God and also
Listening uh to what the spirit of God is saying to his people in this season we know the world is uh I won’t say in a terrible fix but it’s in a it’s in a situation that it has never been in before and and we uh as as uh God’s
Children God’s people as never before we need to be able to uh discern hear listen to what’s going on because uh it is the last days and there are uh prophets all over the land p r o fi TS prophets propheties and and whatever uh uh and and confusing uh the people and
So so we are here we thank God for you for tuning in dealing with um communication um conversation communication collaboration uh and conclusion amen amen so we’re going to go through this you know one thing about talking uh mother mother CES and mother Rollins we we’ve been doing it all our
Life um you know Mama D you know first when you first hear those those those uh words mama dada oh you start crying and that that that happens around about six months right and then Lord Jesus about 18 to 20 uh month uh 18 months to two two years up
You you you start hearing two and four word sentences right and then you said Lord is down here from there right so talking is something that we do naturally but are we effective in it because we have to do it to communicate because we have to do it to function uh
A lot of times we just do it right you know like some people just drive they not good drivers they just drive but over time and wrecks and uh near misses you get better bless the Lord amen but I don’t need a pilot practicing on me
Right you know I don’t need the engineer on train practicing on me I don’t need the Uber driver practicing on me right don’t don’t don’t shake that for me uh uh I don’t need need need that on it so so the main thrust of our speaking and
The use of language we get from our families we get it from our friends and hopefully we get it from education right uh uh speaking clearly concisely is very important to the success that we seek have you noticed that I mean you have to be able to
Articulate you have to be able to construct a thought now here’s the big p big piece of it that people can understand you know we can talk and not talk and we understand what we say it and we all right with it but does it does everybody else understand what
You’re saying talking we we learned last week helps to release our thoughts helps to release our ideals and our emotions to name a few but speaking effectively don’t you like to hear somebody that can speak effectively you like to you can follow people that knows how to use The King’s
English amen and so you you you this ensures us that the message that we hear or or that we bear will be received properly so so how many of y’all got something that you would like to talk to people about right you got you you know
We do it every day you got some got a message and have you ever talked to people in then they say what you say or they say what you mean you know say it again right I didn’t understand you and then what happens a lot of times you go back
Through it and it could have truly been your you could have given a fragmented idea I mean a complete idea in a fragmented sentence or a fragmented you in other words you didn’t make your thought clear but in your mind you did ex right then it could have been
Other way you were very clear very articulate very concise but they weren’t listening that’s right doesn’t that cause frustration all right so check this out when we’re dealing with talking speaking communication great actors great singers what makes them great is uh uh dealing with their craft
One reason that that makes it like a Denzel or um a great singer what makes them great is it that they look so well no uh is it that you know they you know they say they got that special something no what makes them great is their
Ability to connect with the this where we come in in the word to connect with the writer to connect with the author uh to connect with the composer and transfer successively that that thought that that writer had through a character or through a composer through a song to the
People and those people that make the big dollars they are the ones that can transcribe transpose transfer that information to the body they are they are very they they use everything about them to communicate right yeah so we we’re going to we’re going to deal with that the the tools
That we have or the tools that we need to effectively communicate a lot you when you’re talking the the big of the group and really the one onone you don’t want to talk to folk like you laying it laying at home on the couch that’s I mean you you know
Yeah they get up say I’ll see you later they’re not going to be that long but you got to be able to to keep their attention you got to be able to uh uh you know respect them for their time cuz people got other stuff to do
Right so so when we read the Holy R we must get to know the author that’s right the mind of the author what was the author thinking about where did he come from what is his intention right so if we’re going to teach Sunday school pray a prayer preach a
Sermon or just be you know whatever you do for the Lord yes it’s we are on stage and if you want to be able to carry the message effectively for the author for the writer for the composer you you got to be able to to come be able to do more than mama
Dada you got to be able to hone your skills we got to hone our skills as being able to transport and transcribe and and be able to ignite people with the word of God a lot of times you have you ever seen anybody they read they say have I
Committed an offense in abasing myself that ye might be exalted because I have preached to the gospel of God freely I Rob other churches taking wages of them to do you service that’s the word of God right is it ah we going to deal with that is that
The word of God or was that just some word somebody read out of the Bible is it the word of God or was something do you think that’s how Paul talked so check this out has anybody ever carried a message that you said wrong oh yeah I’m talking about they got
The words right but they didn’t you’re like I didn’t say it like that I didn’t say it like that so check that out that wasn’t a message ain’t that something but we don’t think about stuff like that we don’t think about the inflections we don’t think about the emotions we don’t
Think about the the the the the anunciation we don’t think about the passion or we don’t think about the quiet we don’t think about the volume because all of that is part of communication is’t that something so if we’re going to be effective if you’re going to be effective in anything you’re
Going to have to be able to Dev into when we were taking literature and all of that we had to find out who the author was what was the author going through when they wrote this passage what does this poem really mean what is what what were they going through why is that
Amazing Grace how sweet the sound that said if you really know the backstory behind it it’ll make you sing it better it’ll make you communicate it with more Authority help me say the Holy Ghost the Holy Ghost comes to lead us and guide us into all truth the Holy
Ghost comes to to get you to divest yourself and invest yourself into the into the mind of God so when you get up when you talking you’re not talking in and of yourself don’t tell tell me I don’t want to hear Donna I don’t want to
Hear George I don’t want to hear uh Laura I want to hear a word from the Lord does that make any am I I mean what about y’all y’all I mean y’all may be different I don’t I don’t want to hear no other personality but the personality of
Christ is’t that something that’s why you must be born onor again you got to have the Holy Ghost and that with power amen it comes to it comes to so when you get up and begin to speak you speak as an oracle of God that’s a whole another thing to know
The scripture to remember it to to to memorize it is one thing but then to study it how are we studying in it are we studying the the the the backstory are we studying after are we studying in are we articulating and and and and
Speaking it in the in the tense and the tone of the writers intent that that that that that takes prayer that takes study oh cuz here’s the thing one thing is one thing to have all these things these tools that we’re going to deal with but the main tool
That you got to have the first tool your big rock that you got to have as far as communication you got to know what you talking about you got to have the knowledge of your subject matter before you talk about getting the PowerPoint presentation getting your shoes shine
And your dress all whipped in your hair and your nails and new glasses and all that to go see The Bard uh room and all that you need to know the subject matter and then you need to know why it matters because all of this is going to
Deal with you begin to pull out these tools we’re going to deal with your tone your your your the tense the speed uh how you going to deliver how you when you going to get soft when are you going to get loud because because if you don’t you’re
Not going to communicate because the person is not going to receive what you say they going to be sleep with their eyes wide open the first 15 seconds is going to tell it tell it good afternoon ladies and gentlemen how are you doing so glad to be here B
Let the show begin I don’t want to get I don’t want to hear about your family and Y you your car was on the flat when you walked outside don’t nobody want to hear that that’s personal stuff that you need to talk to somebody that really
Care I’m sorry when you step out your door when you step out the door of your house cuz check this out it’s some F at the house don’t want to here right but when you step out the door whether you going to the house of God or
The the the the the house of the work it’s time to be able to effectively deliver a an effective message right so we we we we we have graduated from Mama dad and we just so glad you said something and then 18 months to two years then you putting in
Two and four letter sentences and we’re glad that you you can say dog run but when you get to be an adult when you get it you talking about you filled with the Holy Ghost you’re talking and it and it’s more than praise the Lord thank you Jesus Hallelujah bless the
Name got no you need to know what you’re talking about cuz I promise you the more you know what you’re talking about the less hallelujah thank you Jesus you going to do any comments come on y’all so quiet okay they’re listening okay check this out 2 Corinthians 11 1 through

They preach a different Jesus than the one we preach or a different kind of spirit than the one you received or a different kind of gospel than the one you believed but I don’t I don’t consider myself inferior in any way to these super apostles who teach such things I may be
Unskilled as a speaker but I am not lacking in knowledge we M we have made this clear to you in every possible way was I wrong when I humbled myself and honored You by preaching good news God’s news to you without expecting anything in return I didn’t charge you I didn’t
Ask for an offering but I robbed other churches by accepting their contribution so I could serve you at no cost and when I was with you and uh didn’t have enough to live on I did not become financial burden to you to anyone for the brothers who came from
Macedonia brought me all that I needed I have never been a burden to you and I will never be as surely as the truth of Christ is in me no one in all of the Greece will ever stop me from boasting about this why because I don’t love you
God knows that I do but I will continue doing what I have always done this will undercut those who are looking for an opportunity to boast that their we their work is just like ours these people are false prophets they are deceitful workers who disguise themselves as
Apostles of Christ but I am not surprised exclamation point even Satan disguised himself as an angel of Light so it is no wonder that his servants also disguised themselves as Servants of righteousness in the end they will get the punishment their wicked Deeds the deserve Paul is having fun with him he’s
Ministering to him but at the beginning he said listen y’all just bear with my foolishness for a minute cuz I’m really kind of tickled that y’all are listening to these false prophets and believing them you Sav that their spirit that they have ain’t the spirit that you have the
Gospel that they they have is not the gospel that you know but you still listening Paul is saying I’m I’m I’m I’m I’m befed I’m I’m I’m I’m beside myself when I heard it and here it is I ain’t even taught y’all nothing I gave matter of fact I have
Robbed other churches by not charging y’all nothing because here come the the uh the men from Macedonia had to take care of me over here for y’all and you still don’t get it you still tripping and so do you feel how he flowing with this here’s the thing let’s go down
Here the false Apostles boasted so much of their gifts and their abilities and their usefulness that the Apostle found himself under a necessity of saying things in his own defense now Paul Paul was a a man of humility but not in this text cuz see so what you saying pastor when you’re
Communicating you got to know your audience that’s true you long as you know what you’re saying but here’s the thing you have to sometimes you have to deliver the message a different way because if you just stuck that’s what the Holy Ghost comes to lead us and
Guide us into all truth in other words the Holy Ghost allows you to not just get up but see the people and to see if they’re receiving or not and you’re not caught up into what you’re delivering only but you are watching to see if if
People are have are being a receivers of what you’re saying and but see here’s the thing Paul knew his crowd this crowd before he got this why because he had knowledge of what had been going on so you got to before you try to have a positive communication
With somebody you got to know something about who you f to talk to you going to go at you going to uh interview for a job and you don’t know where the job at you don’t know where the office is you don’t know the name of the person you
Don’t know nothing about it and then you talking about I’m here for a job guess that’s what you need to do your homework go up in there when you don’t need nothing and say oh oh now who is that oh that’s that’s HR Director oh and what that
Name I mean you don’t just take this Bible and pick it up and read it and talking about the Holy Ghost going to open open my understanding no you got to study to show yourself approve a Workman that need not be ashamed have you ever seen anybody that was have been ashamed
Uh preaching or teaching the word I have me cuz sometime you you going to pick this up and you no you need to study cuz you’ll be saying something that’s totally off you have to be you can’t you can’t cherry pick sentences out of the scriptures and call it gospel it is not
It has to be it has to be connected comprehensive you because when people do it all the time um okay they say bringing into captivity every thought to The Obedience of Christ we take every every thought prison and Lead it into captive to obey Christ all right y’all
Need to obey Christ or he GNA put y’all in jail you gonna be bound and blah I mean it’s just CAU the the these are people that are based upon what’s on their heart then they’re going to try to take and take and extract the B you know you don’t add
To and you don’t take away and that’s that’s called truth right amen so when you’re communicating you don’t add to nor take away and then we we have uh uh conversation we have communication we have collaboration we have conclusion amen and and after that is another step but but here’s the thing
Uh Paul was letting us know when we look at this he was like I’m going to use some of these tools to help communicate cuz they used to me the way I have been being but right now based upon what they doing they need something else cuz evidently they wasn’t getting
The word you know you know when you dealing with your children all right you got time out you got the same thing you got the same punishment for every crime man listen over time it cease to be punishment right okay all right so Matthew 12:37 uh anybody want to say anything about that
Before we move on further because we’re going to get into these tools tools of communication Matthew 12:37 somebody read that for us wow for by your words you will be acquitted we said this last week and by your words you will be redeemed condemn however you will have faith you
Will be saved by what your words Thy word shall be the ground of thy acquittal or your condemnation you have we have the majority of what we have based upon the words that we speak listen the constru of your words that whole text of you you’re more than a bad day you’re more
Than a a bad work a bad word you’re more than one good day but but you are uh a result of the context of what is continuously spoken over your life amen man so it’s one thing to say you know I’m the head and not the tail
I’m above and I’m but see you can’t just say that on Monday you can’t just say that on Sunday you can’t just say that on Wednesday night you know you sure can’t just say it on Friday because you don’t have to go to work on
Saturday but it has to be part of the context of your life to continue to ground us into that positiveness amen amen so check this out have y’all ever heard of okay so if a person if the police pull a person over come to pick a person up and
They um getting ready to arrest them what does the police say or should say if they want to be successful in the arrest what should they tell this person your you ever wondered why why that that’s important right if if if the police gonna pick up somebody and arrest
Them and the next that next level is going to be the a grand jury or something like that in the court for that to happen first thing they want to know is uh and and are your honor uh uh uh Jackie said you know she stepped on the Frog and
Jackie’s attorney should be able to say your hna Jackie was never mirandized what in it okay so Miranda rights Miranda Right were passed in 1966 Ernesto Miranda he he he he he got uh arrested for robbery kidnapping and some what was it robber kidnapping something there three things he got uh uh and
Murder oh Jesus robber kidnapping and murder and they were trying to get him out of it because they they just picked him up to tried to act like he evidently he said something he shouldn’t have uh whatever and they held it against him in a court of law right but your fifth amendment
Rights say that you don’t have say nothing I that will I I’m going to take the fifth which means what I’m not going to say anything on the grounds that it might incriminate me how much power is that for individual I mean the founding fathers thought they understood that your word
Supposed to be so strong and powerful that with just like a a husband’s wife shouldn’t be able to uh testify against him you shouldn’t even be able to testify against Yourself by accident I’m going take the fifth I plead the fifth and matter of fact the jury can’t even hold it against
Me because it’s my right to not be able to incriminate myself and so the Miranda Right come to say listen whatever you say you’re waving whatever you say can and will be held against you under the court of law cuz check this out they tell me ain’t no death mutes in
Prison most people in prison if there was no eyewitness most people in prison because of something they said to somebody else ain’t that something that lets you do you understand how much power your word has that’s that’s that’s some power that that it it’s it’s plenty of
Innocent people now we going to get to this there plenty innocent people in prison because they did not understand the power of their tongue and when when the police come or somebody come and say uh maam did you stab him yes I did you gone a Johnny C can’t get you out when
He was alive why because you said that’s why they teach you don’t say nothing get my lawyer all of the murders and robbers and thieves know that rule but the people here come the people that tried to do the right thing have not been taught they have not been taught so
Check this out this is in your whole life in in uh Human Resources working on your job inste of a lot of things that we’ve been talk well you need to just tell them you just need to tell them you don’t need to tell them nothing you
Might not need to tell them nothing if it’s going to incriminate you if they in action I said like this it’s better to ask for what forgiveness then ask for permission all right so character shows Itself by the words we use our character shows Itself by words Ephesians 4:29
Says don’t use foul or abusive language let everything you say be good and helpful so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them your word should be of what encouragement listen every cuss word is is a is a is a is a is a word and air
That you have just thrown to the wind that you could have used another word to encourage somebody else and the Bible tells me that you can also Encourage Yourself cu why is it a sin swearing why is it a sin cursing why is it a sin sin is a condition of the
Heart the mind and the inner man that’s Romans 7:22 which is manifested in our thoughts actions and words sin is a condition of the heart the mind and the inner man which manifest in our thoughts actions and words that’s why we have to be so careful uh matter of fact your words can
Be the barometer the words can be the barometer of who you are the words can be the tell tell sign of what you believe your words your words that when you think about it when y’all when you think about the words you use the do your words color perfectly Who You Are
The words you use do they color perfectly do they do they need a little enhancement of who you are are you are you successfully speaking and articulating to the world who you are from the on the inside are you still in the Mama D Stage not in the mama dada stage are you
In the the four six word Center Stage or is there room for improvement always room for improvement okay okay so people cuss when they’re happy people cuss when they excited say Pastor teaching don’t cussing people cuss when they mad people even cuss when they said even though the world throws cursed
Words around like nothing Christians are to be set apart amen we’re not to imitate the world and the way the people of the world communicate with each other when the saints get excited they need to say Glory right oh my God I felt that when
The saints get be sad they need to say thank you Jesus when the saints are excited they need to say hallelujah isn’t it cuz that I mean you uh Michelle Obama said it like this when they go low we go high and we are children of the most high and so you
Need to stay high you need to uh I’m pressing on the upward way that’s right New Heights I’m gaining every how is that possible it’s by the words you’re using still praying as I’m on with bound Lord plant my feet help me say higher Lord Lord ah so
When so my god when the day goes south you still need to go north Jesus when the day is on pause you need to hit Play Amen oh my God hallelujah Hal and it’s so easy for us to slide it’s so easy for us to fall back uh the the Bible calls
It backslide see you don’t have to uh backslide in your your physical actions to be to have backsliding in your spirit in your mind in your thoughts you have to speak those things that are not as though they were this is contextualizing your your your world and your life to
That that that you begin to when you begin and to get you get better and better at it the more you talk about the Lord yes Lord the more you talk about the Lord the better you feel but the more you talk about the Lord the better
People around you feel more you talk about the Lord and positive things that he’s doing you become check this out attractive the anointing makes you attractive the anointing the spirit of God that comes in and get you check this out out of your natural self yes your your personality takes a backseat
To the personality of of the Holy Ghost your personality I’m just shy listen I’m just you know I’m just quiet I’m okay here’s another one I’ve reserved listen every shy quiet and reserved person they got a button they got a button and I’d rather for the Lord push my button than the
Enemy I am I I mean I’m just talking y’all listening y’all feel me can you hear me now all right I I I I’d rather for the Holy Ghost to push my button amen than the enemy push my butt amen y’all got to come me yes I’m going
Jump I’m going to jump on down here right quick I’m going jump on down here l’sen let’s so so talking we learned last week is exhaling talking is uh expressing talking is first thing I said if you going to talk you need to have something worth hearing
Amen yeah no if you going to talk you need to have something worth hearing because you be talking by yourself even if there’s a room full of folk in there amen man you have you ever been around a teacher that they they they they literally say they were paid to
Teach but they never understood what teaching really was cuz see even teaching is a form of communication and so you get up they get up okay this is my lesson plan this is my uh what I got to tell say and I got to hit all this before the next six
Weeks and so I’m just going to get this out I’mma listen can’t nobody say I didn’t come here every day can’t nobody say I didn’t go through my lesson plan can’t nobody say I didn’t hit them on the same and the right weeks and all of
That and and the monitary and all can I got it out some folk just want to get it out but they ain’t stn about whether you receiving it or not see a a great teacher is is they’re gonna know their content they’re gonna know they’re gonna be knowledgeable of
The message but a great teacher uh uh will be concerned if you are listening if you are receiv receiving amen amen and and and check this out Bas just like Paul according to where those particular students are in then six week time they listen this student they cool but this
Student I’m I’m going to have to juggle for them this student I’m going have to bring them from the third row up to right in front of my desk this student they cool they they but this student they need a team that’s a great teacher they are they are concerned about the
Receptivity of the audience ain’t that something so when we’re communicating we need to make sure that the audience is engaged enlightened and illuminated and interested a that something even if it’s statistic Lord Jesus okay I had a had a I had a I’m sorry yall pray okay
Listening it helps increase us right it helps expand us there there’s a there’s a there’s a there’s a wisdom behind listening if you listening the Holy Ghost will give you that that opportunity for the spirit of discernment to come in why that person is doing all that
Talking if you can just so you just praying Lord it it can be a business deal it can be a business deal because check this out when you praying for the Lord to have his way when you praying for for miracles and the miraculous to happen God will blow your mind around
Any table yes God will blow your mind at the kitchen table God will blow your mind at the bank table God God will blow your mind at the courthouse but you got to be let let let him let him do what he’s doing and you’re in a posture of listening oh yeah
And you’re not just listening to to to the people but you’re listening to the spirit of God you you’re Discerning where they’re coming from Holy Ghost is saying check this out don’t say nothing just hang on in I know you want to say something just oh can you hear cuz see what’s
Coming after the page is one thing but but the Holy Ghost oh it’s a whole another level that’s coming off of that page in the Supernatural it’s a whole lot that person is saying and it’s a whole lot that person is saying that you didn’t hear unless you spiritual so help me say
Listen see you see see it takes nothing off of you to listen you going to always get bigger when you listen you going to always be expanded Proverbs 1 and5 Somebody read that for me Proverbs 1 and5 a wise man will hear and will increase learning and a man of
Understanding shall attain unto wise counsel let the wise listen and add to what they know and let the Discerning get guidance it’s not self-conceived as as fools are but willing to learn from others you can learn from a fool as I said you can learn from a child you can learn from the
Unlearned if it ain’t nothing but you learn that the fol really is a fool uh I mean listening will increase your learning and thereby will gain a great benefit to grow in knowledge and wisdom amen now this is what we going to go through and we going we going to get maybe two
Of them tonight uh eight ways to master the art of communication W eight ways to master the art of communication uh Paul you’ll see where Paul uh in that text second second Corinthians 11 And1 he came at them different m because of what had happened uh we have to always be
Listening for the Holy Ghost to guide us into How to Be an Effective Teacher How to Be an Effective orator How to Be an Effective I mean the Holy Ghost when when when you allow the Holy Ghost to come you disappear when the Holy Ghost comes in
We have to be so care careful not to disturb the person when they’re being used I mean because that’s a sensitive situation I you know I’ve been up one several times and FK be like time to quit it’s time to quit I’m you know right in the middle of there you while
God is using you your old man say what you know what I’m saying all of these things you get taken in taken at the beginning because when the Holy Ghost is using you it ain’t time to quit if he ain’t quit it’s not time to quit now if he has
Quit you need to know that he has quit I’ve seen people and they God was using them and then God sit down and they say well I ain’t through yet I got two more pages and they keep on going but the Lord the Holy Ghost like we
