An event at Rock Valley College is giving high school students an opportunity to meet with college Representatives the Rockford chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority hosted their annual college fair today allowing students to meet with people from participating historically black colleges and universities information about financial aid and scholarship
Opportunities were also made available during the event chapter vice president Felicia Reed says it’s important to expose students to Opportunities Beyond just what’s in our community we’re trying make sure we expose our community to the other schools uh historically black colleges and universities there are other organizations that will do
College tours but not everyone can afford them so we want our children to know that besides the area schools there are other schools where people look like us and that strive for excellence
