Was giving the word to everybody everybody was up and they were receiving him and as he sat down in his chair he died wow his daughter talked about how much it meant for him to preach God’s word and it was one more last time that he got a chance to get up and
Just represent under Christ but every day we come to church representing Christ in what type away sometimes we don’t even say a word sometimes we see other people in pain and we don’t even try to address we have the Holy Ghost and all the power in us but we
Refuse to use what it is that God has for us all as a church we’ve got to grow past this amen amen who knows this might be your last time in the sanctuary your last moment to get ready to tell somebody that God is still with you he recognizes your pain he

About you know whips and chains and things like that yeah but on this particular month I want us to celebrate something I want us to whole be able to poke our chest out about something that we as African-Americans or blacks have accomplished in spite of all of the
Obstacles and challenges and I think as we continue to gr as you watch TV and stuff like that today you see and notice a lot of things that get missed and when there’s a gap in between education it gets lost and forgotten about come on so
I want to share uh this is a little dear to me but I’m going to try to play this while I’m doing it as Well I hope you can hear that a little bit right okay then hear me historically black colleges and universities the first college for African-Americans was established largely through the efforts of the Freedom’s Bureau and black churches and missionary organizations such as the American missionary Association the second moral Act of 1890
Required States especially former Confederate states to provide land grants for institutions for black students if admission was not allowed elsewhere as a result many historically black colleges and universities were founded between 1861 and 1900 more than 90 institutions of Higher Learning were established sh University founded in Raleigh North Carolina in in
1865 was the first black college organization after the Civil Civil War HBCU are defined by Higher Education Act of 1965 as an historically black college or university established prior to 1964 whose principal mission was and is is the education of black Americans and that it is accredited by nationally recognized accreditation agency or
Association determined by the Secretary of Education the foundation of HBCU before the Civil War the majority of African-Americans in the United States were enslaved education opportunities for African-Americans in the South were virtually non-existent particularly for higher education those like Frederick duglas who did pursue an education in spite of it being illegal
For him to do so was forced to study informally and often on their own in 1837 a group of Philadelphia Quakers concerned that African-Americans in the north were having a difficult time competing for jobs against the influx of immigrants created institutions For Colored youth it was the first institution of Higher Learning for
African-Americans we know it today as a chaining University of Pennsylvania the next crucial moment for African-Americans higher education came in the Years between the Civil War and World War I when the nation made a commitment to university studies across the country predominantly due to the government’s land grants to help states
Form university colleges on President funds pouring into the creation of public colleges and universities but a few of these emerging institutions were open or inviting to African-American students this left the African-American Community to spearhead their own movement toward higher education with the support of the American missionary uh Association and the freers bureau
Seven black colleges had formed seven black colleges had been founded by 1870 many of these included fist University 1866 Howard University 1867 claen University 1869 and Gill University in 1869 are still graduating students today historically black college and universities are important pillars of the Black Enterprise historic black college
Universities are important pillars of the black experience most were created during and after the Reconstruction Era of the 19th century and then and they are directed and they are direct products of a segregation Universal Society today we often celebrate their C their cultural pageantry affiliated with higher stepping bands fraternities and

Be there anyway when you need me the most I’m going to be there anyway the problem is God is say if I can do it for you when are you going to do it for me that’s right when are you going to give me the same thing you asking me to do

You feel for somebody that you kind of like or that you kind of care for it’s not the same level as a go it’s not the same level that God had you you really do something only because it’s the right thing to do that’s right as we heard
