Ladies and gentlemen brothers and sisters children of all ages welcome to the Saina Society nothing but facts live stream on a Tuesday which is extremely Sunny uh requires a jacket but not too cold in the great state of New Jersey in the Lo Cina Soup Kitchen in the Saina Studio which is on
The third floor of the laosinaa soup kitchen uh H in the great state of New Jersey and New Brunswick where today I want to talk about a couple things first thing I want to talk about oh my can you fire up the lacina website ladies and gentlemen brothers
And sisters children of all ages okay um we’re getting more and uh yeah make it big so everyone can see yeah there you go we are getting more and more people at our dinners every single week and we need a push today a little mini push look at what we’re doing here you
Can scroll this website lacina 367 is where we take our donations we need a push today okay let’s go down on the website let’s show pictures let’s show all the pictures uh are there any pictures here yeah let’s look at that look at some of these pictures scroll more it’s
An English and Spanish website is it click on nothing’s clickable there how about events anything clickable there look at these look at these pictures this is what our soup kitchen looks like yeah uh perfect you see this people come in they take a lap they take their food they take any garments of
Clothes that they want you see how they come in they take a lap all right take the food take any clothes that they want there let’s watch this video you see how they take the food you see the clothes in the back there they take any clothes that they
Want and then they can sit and eat their or they can uh leave whatever they want to do okay yo hold see that sweatshirt right there I think it’s a nice sweatshirt personally speaking some people said some of the youth said it’s terrible I can’t believe you approve that no I
Liked it I I mean I thought it was nice anyway uh so they walk in like that next picture and some see that’s where they can sit now the next phase is to tear down that wall okay we’re tearing down that wall and we want to expand the room
So they could that will be the sitting room okay and it’ll be basically either we make a big circle or rows or tables okay something so please support because we’re we’re now um we just have more and more people and we need more and more support okay look at that keep
Going look at these smiling people let’s click on that picture look at that a line out the door folks what are we supposed to do we have a literally a literal line out the door okay a line out the door all right next pi picture okay there’s a clothes that people take
Okay good so today we’re we’re gonna what’s that oh by the way we presented and we won an award by the way we won an award yeah we won an award at the art Gala Ruckers University gave us an uh uh students the uh basically the artists yeah let’s click on some of
These pictures can they are they clickable they gave us an award believe it or Not yeah um see how the summer is the best when we have all these events in the summer stop and go all these things look at them freeze don’t freeze um sit on the chair right last person who doesn’t sit on the chair is out all right you know that game right musical
Chairs what’s musical chairs in Spanish Musa cherra right here’s the location looking nice right here our building is like the most standout building in the that’s why we made it that way so nobody has to look for the building they literally just say go to that building that looks white and has
An orange roof you’ll see it when you Spanish style building all right so that’s really good that is really good that’s um yeah we have the website if you can see it if you guys can see it laosinaa 367 yeah why why 367 because it’s the
Address yeah why is it Safina uh Safina 367 is because laosinaa 37.org because the address is 367 right there is a there are a lot of uh uh 367 out there a lot of lacas out there so we had to uh denote it in some other way
Now let me ask you a question let’s take a theology Point here before we get to guests I’ve said many times I’m retired I’m really trying to commit to it this time of argumentation as IM Malik said argumentation takes the light of of of knowledge out of the
Heart so really try not to argue but that doesn’t mean that I’m submitting to every AA point and I’m never going to talk about AA again or secondary matters it just under you got to understand there are secondary matters of AA that you have to view it in that light
And the had to answer them and we also uh uh uh right teach them and these matters are up for debate it’s up that people can believe it or not they could feel that they that we’re correct about this or we’re not correct about it okay so today we’re going to
Discuss a question of the Hadith of the jaria comes up often right now let me also tell you this many people say oh don’t bring this up to the people they’re going to be confused oh we should only just talk about relevant things it’s not true it
Is relevant because people do look at this and talk about it right people do ask questions about this and as long as we put it in a context that this is thead It’s the attempt of Scholars to understand the speech of the Prophet peace be upon him and with the context
Of not arguing I have no interest in arguing with Eis Andis okay I view them as our brothers they have their own okay let’s look at what our said about this okay actually I shouldn’t had like that that was not right but what I just I did
That CU it wasn’t what I was trying to read okay the prophet sallam said the prophet Sall wasallam said Islam began as a strange thing amongst the people and it will return to be a strange thing amongst the people but blessed are those strange ones okay those ones who
Are uh very few in number amongst their amongst the people okay they said who are these strange ones these the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said it’s a good question by the way when we say that there one out of every four people on the Earth is a
Muslim so who are the strange ones so there must be a group of Muslims that are doing something that not everyone else is doing here the prophet the people who Rectify my example my Sunnah my way the truth which the people have corrupted so the is any person who is sort of like
The Lone Wolf or the minority in any matter of Truth okay in the matter of in any matter of Truth he’s in the minority that person is the so if you’re for example if you go to a wedding one of these weddings where it’s offed okay uh in that case you refuse to
Attend the facad and you’re like let me just go you know uh to the Masid let me go and in the hallway and leave this facad you are a okay you are a if you do that that’s when of the meanings of that okay now we read from
IM if you ask me IM is the First go-to Source for anything is his Source but not everyone knows but everyone knows in okay the Eastern scholar are always more famous than the Western Scholars from Morocco they’re not as well known the Eastern Scholars of Syria and and bdad before
That they’re well known in the um their book spread and their trusted sources so this is now a question that didn’t maybe didn’t come up earlier okay in his commentary on sah Muslim what is the Hadith of the jaria a servant girl was brought to the
Prophet jaria could be a servant a free servant or a slave I believe that most cases it’s a slave she was brought to the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam and the yes in this case she was a slave for sure we know that um and they were
Asking do we free her or is she a Muslim or not because she was in mute and blind and some said said blind only okay and Allah knows best we’re going to see here different different situations different narrations he says in the book of M the
Area of Salah in the chapter of the prohibition of speech in Salah okay and the abreg of its permissibility because speech and Salah is permissible used to be permissible sorry used to be permitted to talk in Salah then it became abated he says this is AI from the Hadith related
To the attributes of Allah and it has two Ms as we have spoke about many times in the book of IM one m is to believe in it without talking about it this is I’m not going to quote the H because I’m not a h but from what I’ve seen of the hedis
This is their way okay all right can you swap our positions on that yeah that’d be good all right our guests are here we’re going to we’re going to get to the guests in a second so just leave it as is and you have the right to do so
And if you’re a common Muslim guy listen I I I don’t I don’t want to get involved in this these these questions hey this is a great Outlet just say whatever Allah and his Prophet meant it to be good but you also have to believe you
Can’t just let it go you also have to negate what Allah ated for himself that there is none like unto him and you must say that he is transcendent of from all the descriptions of created beings okay so to be created has certain descriptions to
It and you can say in general that Allah is transcendent beyond all such descriptions that’s it you don’t have to specify General that’s it the other opinion is to make to interpret it Allah didn’t tell us something that has no meaning okay and he says about the
That uh it is not known except to their meaning is not known except to Allah and those who are firmly established in knowledge okay and also you can continue that verse and or and say it’s only known to Allah stop and those who are firmly grounded in
Knowledge say no one knows its meaning but Allah so the first that that’s the listen I don’t know what it means I’m going to stop there only Allah knows but the second says that Allah knows those firmly grounded in knowledge know and they admit that they recognize that their interpretation of it is
Speculative and only absolute certainty uh the absolute certainty is for Allah okay so it’s not NE it doesn’t negate when we say only Allah knows yes only Allah knows with certainty he has the absolute truth and these verses we may know them based on speculation so if you ask
Any m when he makes he says this is what we know and Allah knows best because we are making we’re using scholarly effort to try to understand what Allah means here okay and we believe this is what he means but we must ultimately return the meaning to
Allah now we don’t do that for things that are absolutely certain when we’re absolutely certain about something you don’t say and Allah knows best you can’t say God is one Muhammad is his prophet and Allah knows best no you have to be certain about that because that’s clear
And explicit in our religion okay so that’s a difference between recognizing absolute certain knowledge and speculative knowledge all right we’re allowed to have speculative knowledge we’re allowed to to to speculate on meanings of things but we have to understand but speculation has to be with evidence uh we have to
Understand that that is an effort to understand the truth you understand not an claim of absolute knowledge without any possibility to go wrong we’re just going to read this and then we’re go two minutes and then we’re going to get to our guests so he says here those who interpreted this Hadith
Said okay is she this is a test for her okay does she hold that the one one the Creator the doer of all things this is also that proves that now we held that Allah is the only doer of all things is Allah okay and he is the one who if you pray
To him you face the heavens because the of Dua is the heavens why do we point up for Allah and look up the same reason we pray to the Caba we’re not praying to the Caba and we’re not holding that Allah’s Essence is in the sky okay we
Hold that that’s the of Dua if we held otherwise that means the South American is pointing down and I’m pointing up and if the essence of Allah is there then that means the essence of Allah is has the Earth inside of it right has all around us but the Earth inside that
Doesn’t make any that’s not acceptable okay it contradicts much of what we of other explicit texts Okay so so this that’s the first meaning said the exact same thing I just said he said in the same way that the one who faces the Kaa he he prays he
Faces the Kaa if you make Dua you face up you put your hands up okay you don’t put your hands to the side to the left down you face up and you look up and you the Shah is this okay uh or is she so is she the from the ones who prays
Facing like this or is her God an idol on the earth such that where is your god oh he’s right there in that house he’s there he’s an idol over there or he’s an idol over there because where were the idols physically on the earth
So that’s what im no is saying is where is your Dua where is your creator all right the one that you worship and point up and point upwards and make Dua facing the sky or the one that is the idols here on the earth okay so here she answers the question she
Says so therefore that made clear that she’s a monotheist she doesn’t worship idols I told you now he always realiz on he always cites so much so he just says says there is no difference between the Muslims forever from the beginning of time they’re jurists their Hadith Scholars their theologians their thinkers their
Followers okay that all of the mentions of Allah being in the sky okay they are not of the literal verses the verses that you may take literally rather is so Allah has told us in that some verses are from the mother’s sources of the book that means they are as they are and
Others are they they sound like something that they do not mean the immediate meaning of okay one more par chapter a paragraph and then we go to our guests okay okay so so here meaning by the meaning and the rank okay a so okay in greatness the here being
Greatness and exalted Rank and this is as if one says so and so is in the sky um meaning in Arabic I guess he is is of a high rank okay and there’s more that we’ll cover later all right including different narrations completely different narrations from this all right so that’s
Why the other what well the other interpretation just to give you a summary is that when she she she was mute so she only did this right and it’s not pointing up it’s the that’s one of the meanings so whether she was pointing up that means
Du or she was doing this uh meaning the symbol of the sh it brings the same result and on top of that it’s not deemed a source evidence because there’s so many different narrations of what actually happened okay now why are we saying this I have to couch this and
I’ll say it a million times we’re not here to pick a fight with the uh hanab nor are we arguing you have your opinion you can have it and we honor the H school and the a opinion um that negates and location for Allah subhana
Wa tala and there are many H books that explicitly state that all right and either way this is what the said if someone doesn’t want to believe it no one’s going to argue with you okay all right let’s go to our guests Alm Alm is is it Alm let’s bring our guests
On we have hamadah we have Hamad and we have ad Adil mallah hammad and Adil welcome to the S Society nothing but facts live stream thank you all right so you guys went to college you saw frats everywhere you said hey why why don’t we have our
Own you know type of fraternity so talk to us tell us where did you see what led you to this you want to start with yeah um so I guess just to clear things Hamad and I are not the founders of Alm we are alhamdulillah a product of
The people who have founded um actually last year we celebrated our 10th anniversary um and I mean to to answer the question directly Alm the purpose of it is we all know what the college experience is like and as most men it’s difficult to navigate the college process um in that organic College
Setting while also adhering to Islamic principles so the purpose of Alm is to fill that void where we build uh Muslim men based off the life in the footsteps of the Prophet while also making sure we enjoy our college experience so it’s creates that kind of space for for for men that
Wasn’t there before and Hamad I’ll pass it off to you yeah so fraternities are are um inherently embedded in the American culture uh they’ve been around for hundreds of years and when they were first established some even before the United States uh they were created with the purpose of of having that fraternity
Or Brotherhood and personal development and over the years um it’s gotten watered down yeah a majority of them well it’s all drinking and and and girls essentially right now yes yes that’s pretty much what it is except for uh Yale Skull and Bones which is basically fraternity for Global Conquest
Which were made to believe people don’t know about Yale Skull and Bones it’s like so many presidents came out of there yeah and so what we did is we took that original Greek fraternity model um that’s been used and we left the bad those those cultural things and uh We’ve
We took the good and used that to structure um our organization to cultivate a lifelong Brotherhood and um uh prophetic manliness so what are the kind of things that you guys do you guys meet up and drink Zam zum water instead of kegs of beer yeah we
Play zumzum Pong instead okay so tell me what is if I joined if my son came to school and joined what are the things that he’s goingon to see and do so you go ahead um I was going to say like think of it like different umbrellas right so there’s a spiritual
Spere to it there’s an educational academic sphere to it there’s a social sphere to it there’s a philanthropic sphere to it so Alm like usually fraternities fall under one of three categories either social either community service or professional Alm facilitates all three to where if your
Son were to join he’d be involved in each and every one of these Avenues so for example um if he needs Spiritual Development whether it be waking up for fudger something as simple as that or to improveed and um with someone who is not just a resident expert but actual
Islamic scholar he can do so through the through the means of the fraternity whether it be social work so for example um a lot of men again this is specifically for um I I guess your audience and our audience Muslim men but it’s not limited to those right so
Non-muslims can join as well um but a lot of men do not see or are part of women’s struggles so for example if there’s a women’s shelter if there’s domestic violence issues whatever it may be men will freeze they won’t know what to do so right we Empower our brothers
To make sure that if you’re in a situation like that can you a Empower our sisters make sure they’re in a safe space but also B behind the scenes are you going to these shelters are you you know if there’s a need in the community are you at the Forefront of that need
And going to the social aspect of it as well so again it’s a fraternity right we’re here to have fun we’re here to have a good time we’re here to travel together things like that but in a Halal means right so we’re not drinking we’re not like partying as you see like you
Know in movies and how other fraternities do it yeah but at the same time the AA the bonding the Brotherhood is there um and and as a means to grow closeness to each other because at the end of the day right when hammad said it’s a lifelong journey it also limits
It right our life in Islam our journey doesn’t end with our life if anything that’s begins right so for us what makes us also different than some other organizations on campus is once you graduate you have no business being involved with those organizations right you’re not an active you’re not on
College campus for us it’s just a stepstone right so one thing I like to tell our members is if you look around the people who we were surrounding yourself with they will be the first person to congratulate you when you get married they’re going to be the first
Person to come to you um you know when you have your first kid when your parents pass away they’re the ones who are going to be you know the shoulder to cry on and even when you pass away they’re the ones who will be lifting your body and putting you in the grave
How many men especially Muslim men can say they have a support system like that especially in the America yeah you’re the best place to get it is at College exactly college buddies exactly I actually uh uh observed that the big state schools like I think in Chicago most
People from Chicago they go to school in Chicago New Jersey we have a massive school here Ruckers University um I think most people where there’s a state school and places where people like um are it’s not a place where people um they’re itinerant come and go you end up
Those College friends of yours they’re literally your friends until you’re 60 they literally put you in the grave I see some of my friends now that are still from college right uh and it’s like amazing that like 20 years pass and we’re still friends you know so tell me how many
Branches do you have where are where are your branches so we have opened up 11 chapters uh right now we have six Active chapters one is in Dallas UT Dallas one is in Austin UT Austin um one is in Arizona ASU Arizona State University University of California San
Diego um University of Toledo in Ohio and University of Wisconsin Madison so you have that’s four you mentioned six six Ohio Wisconsin yeah that doesn’t count yeah Wisconsin yeah we say that too okay Green Bay Packers that’s it okay so wh uh Ohio Toledo Ohio is a huge school right that’s Ohio State
Right different schools yeah different okay what else um Dallas Austin that’s huge Dallas and Austin that’s three what else San Diego San Diego nice but just a small school right uh it’s it’s kind of big okay it’s kind of in the middle there what’s the fifth one uh
Arizona ASU Phoenix Arizona okay that’s where they play all the Super Bowls right Super Bowls say but it’s a big like ASU like in high school any High School American can ATT testify it’s known to be that party schull where all frats are so to have them in that
Setting is is one insane that’s huge now what how does someone start one if if some kids out of ruers want to start this organization can’t say they they haven’t tried um you there’s an application process so you go to the website you fill out an application we have a
Discussion um and then if everything looks good we start what we call our colonization or incubation process which is a process of uh where the the person or group of people start to work on trying to establish the chapter there good um and they’re given like a program
Of things they need to do in order to establish the organization gather people some of the um everyday things that we do and if um that group of people is able to create a sustained chapter something that will last for Generations then they are officially initiated into a chapter and they’re
Part of the Nationwide lifelong Brotherhood okay very good so um you guys approve or disapprove the chapters right do you guys have when you graduate Alm members have like um an annual like weekend or something we have an annual event every year yes and that’s open for Everyone Active and alumni active University
Members and alumni and what do you guys do basically in those uh um so it every other year we do a conference and then the following year we’ll do a retreat a conference like what uh that is a that is a time where we come to a city uh where everyone
Comes like they’ll book flights everyone will fly into the same city and we will host a conference with different speakers um on kind of more of the professional development networking side um and top and so we’ll also have Scholars come out and have and have topics as well so it’s it’s not
Necessarily only just an Islamic conference it’s anyone who has a a skill who can who has something to say that’s interesting we’ll talk right yeah it’s it follows a theme like that’s determined for that for that conference and then for retreat that is where we quite literally Retreat into
Remote location with everyone and we spend a weekend together now I don’t know if you know about the Safi podcast in this live stream but like we’re like big a Buffs here is there a set Creed or doctrine at least like for Alm or is it open to kadis and
Progressive Muslims and like who am I going to be hanging out with here I mean that’s a great question right so a lot of people like to ask you know even at a more broader level is it Sun only what happens if someone from a different
Sector a non-muslim joins at the end of the day when you create Community yeah um and even from like a prophetic point of view like the prophet didn’t go to people ask what are you and then let them become Muslim correct right so even at a solid setting you’re going to be
Surrounded by by a people one you don’t know but people whose beliefs backgrounds experiences are very different than yours um so I it doesn’t exclude people in terms of their religion but what about what you sponsor so I I have a conference hold on I’m an Alm member can my
Uh Ahmed come and and speak about M ahmed’s Beauty and wonder and truthfulness um that’s usually so when it comes to I guess more Niche subjects we wouldn’t do that at a conference we like if someone wants more learning and academic interests yeah we can host like a speaker and if anyone
Who’s interested in learning about it we can learn about it but we’re not for example going out in the streets and and advocating one specific sect or one specific belief um because again at the end of the day like the belief to my brother next to me may be very different
From a background point of view um but it’s it’s tied to okay from the Sunnah in of itself that’s where we derve a lot of our principles from now again Scholars and different teachers across time have different interpretations of it etc etc so we typically rely on our
Local Scholars so being in Dallas it’s easy right all the scholars are here yeah um but there will be some type of local scholar that our members would go to and if not then we could help facilitate that okay uh I think it makes sense um for you have a National
Organization that you got to keep the parameters very simple MH you can’t keep the parameters so strict that at least I would say for example like uh you’re not there to be theologians you’re there to give Muslim support so you’re what you call Islam has to be the most basic thing and if
You want to dive and preach and ask questions then you need to go somewhere else so but you got so you got to basically keep it as broad as possible I think the the what a common person would know as what isah is what You’ be bound to
Because you’re also you are responsible for your policies right you can’t have the Haram and the heretical and just say you know different interpretation some interpretation has limits right no one can say my interpretation that pork is actually okay um there’s going to be some limits so basically your limit is
What is explicit in text and we’re not going to get into interpretations that seems to make a lot of sense to me so it’s fair to say that’s your policy on that good because some people might want to know uh you know what am I getting involved in and would you say that
Networking is the most the biggest part of it I would say Brotherhood would come before networking but nwork okay good a big part of it like from both a professional and just a general like I can go like hamdah throughout the country and I will find someone from Alm
There and what’s nice is we all have a shared experience when you join the fraternity there’s already Baseline there to where I’ll meet someone for the first time and it’s as if I’ve known them my entire life because I know they’ve been through a very similar experience as me and they share similar
Principles to myself very good and then when it comes to professional networking like we do have events um we do have you know a lot of our alumni are you know either directors presidents vice presidents and different companies and corporations so like if I need to tap into someone from
Microsoft or stripe or whatever organization it may be either will know someone or we’ll know someone who knows someone really impressive really impressive that’s really that’s really good actually you have a Rolodex as soon as you join in you got a roll most people don’t know what a Rolodex is now
It’s just used as a word but nobody knows what the thing is so the um a contact list we can now say right you have immediately have a contact list you get internships you get all these other things and every year it grows and grows and grows so it’s a great idea now
Here’s a question for you you guys got to penetrate the Coast Chicago yes Dallas yes you got two in Dallas which is good or you got Austin two in Texas that’s great but you guys got to penetrate the East Coast what’s going on here uh you’re right we do we we do and
We should um ruter will be your biggest one inshah I think like on a little bit of a serious note it’s it’s the consistency that we’re really for so if there is someone on the East Coast that is interested in opening up ANM chapter more than welcome to do so right but
It’s like Allah loves the small consistent Deeds more than the bigger ones right are you consistent with you know your Brotherhood are you showing up are you accountable do you communicate well a lot of times a lot of these um universities fail in the colonization process because they don’t have that
Sustainability colonization process colonization see now it’s oh incubation incub we use the word incubation yeah yeah weize that these fraternities have been around for hundreds of years and so that’s that’s our intention when we establish a chapter at a university and so the structure and everything needs to be you
Know set in stone for that chapter to to continue being a chapter the H how many members you have now right now including alumni I think around 700 Nationwide that’s great seven now when I when I came uh when I remember it used to be called correct I’m sure then somebody
Said nah that’s a verse of Quran right is that what happened exactly you became Alm no what happened exactly it it’s they’re they’re kind of synonymous we we still use both okay okay um but in the in the in the University Greek context we’ll use the Greek letters because they have the
Official councils that when you join on University campus which is Alpha Lambda me me what’s the M Mew me okay good because I never studied the Greek alphabet believe it or not I probably ever needed to so yeah some some schools uh they used to teach
Latin right um and those kids always had a head start or they were always better in vocab and everything else um because you know half the language is based in Latin the other half is based in um German half of English all right so what else you want to tell everybody here
About about your uh you want to tell us some stories what are some interesting stories that happened that would make someone say oh my gosh I never had anything like that I want to join um I’m about if you’re cool with it I’ll start with one um a lot of things
And this is like normal it’s like a Trope for fraternities is like the whole secrecy aspect of it what is it called secrecy secy secrecy okay behind closed doors things like that yeah um the way we apply it is it’s the ability to be able to confide into someone
Soam didn’t put his private matters into the public and we live in a society where everything is put out there um and again the proess was a private person himself yeah so being able to travel for example anywhere in the nation stay with someone and know that I can trust them
Based on our shared ideas deals you know it’s great people are free to express themselves however wish you know you know however they want to so uh without going too much into specifics we’ve had times where like a brother would come to us with like a really pressing issue
Right where it’s like you know it’s genuinely life or death right or it’s abusive situation or it’s a I’m trying to get married but I’m going through XYZ hard block struggles whatever it may be so being able to go into just to confide and have like a best friend um readily
Available not like you know put some time on someone’s calendar and they’ll get back to you type no like I If I text Hamad or call him at 3 o’clock in the morning saying hey I have a flat tire people will show up right some he hammad
Will be like okay I’m coming and he’ll come and like five six guys who heard that I’m in need will pull up so being able to have a resource like that n like a nationwide to me is like it’s a beautiful thing um but going back to
Secrecy it’s like if if you aren’t able able to confide into someone how can I ask you for help or how can ask you for help without worrying if you’re going to put it on Instagram or Tik Tok or whatever it be so that’s really good
Really uh source of Brotherhood and S is basically one of the biggest features of our religion hence the people in the first generation are called sahabah because they were always in the company of the messenger peace be upon him uh as a result of that his state affected
Them and they grew they they grew from that and so today we still live in that world where we need to constantly be in good company so I like this it’s really good um what else do we have to do you want to say if anything else that uh uh
You want to share with everybody about the fraternity and how it grows Etc um I think it’s important to to mention that when you take a step towards joining this fraternity and you go through a process and you go through initiation and you become an active member
Your priorities start to change and your perspective starts to change from you know the previous 18 to 20 years of your life every decision that you make is for the purpose of yourself or benefiting yourself in some way and when you’re committed in an organization like not just you know coming and going
But your committed lifelong to an organization the experiences that you have there say we get into an argument or or we disagree on something we’re still committed to that organization and we’re and we’re forced to be there so in those situations we overcome our differences and the unity is what is a priority
And so I think one a deal mentions like if someone is in trouble at 2 a.m. and we’re all sitting at home there’s like three guys that respond in order to get to that point it takes a lot of work yeah I think the natural response is to
Come up with an excuse saying sorry I’m busy when really I’m just scrolling on social media but for your for your mind and your heart to be calibrated to a point where you’re like you see that and you’re like I need to go yep is I think one of the most
Important aspects of the fraternity yeah and that’s going to take so many different experiences together yeah and the best place to have that is is through college now um when someone joins a fortunity doesn’t that campus need a space usually frats they have a house don’t you need a space like where
Do you hang out you find places it would be it would be great to have a frat house in a shal you know that’s in the plans moving forward um given you know we’re 10 years in inah in the next few years we’ll we’ll start focusing on that yeah like
Even if even if it’s like a rented apartment yeah right that the whole that if every frat member put in five bucks a month that’s five time 700 that’s that’s probably the rent for the month especially where the rent is low like Wisconsin 3500 you could buy a
Whole house with 3500 bucks in Wisconsin right so they should be the first ones to have a property but even if you know just even if you just rented a space right and if you join the Frat you get a discounted rent right and you all live
In that apartment that isn’t that a great idea yeah and it does happen uh it happens uh organically at a lot of places um we’ll have a member or two that are sharing an apartment together and that becomes the space or there’ll be places on campus that that can just
Become a space for the guys to go yeah um so it’s not like one specific place and it it changes throughout as people come and go yeah because it would it would be also uh you know talking about trusting one another for the Frat to be
On the hook for you know 12 months of rent that’s like you know people do a trust fall forget a trust fall right how about a trust bill right hey the Frat is getting our first apartment all of us us are responsible for its rent five bucks a month times 700 that’s
$3,500 that’s going to cover rent right and then on top of that the student pays you know like $200 a month for rent that’s very cheap rent right and boom now you have profit now I’m making money for you guys it’s a good idea we’ll implement it yeah that’s
A but listen I love the initiative we need groups wherever we go uh I love your initiative anytime that you guys want to make an announcement about anything feel free to to contact Omar hop on to the nothing but facts live stream and and even if it’s for
Five minutes you want to make an announcement you could do that insh so may Allah reward you guys for what you doing and really hope that um some students at our own University at Ruckers um come through and and put put put one together so thanks for coming
On if you see this and you’re from rers apply I’ll send them your way alm.com al.org Alpha Lambda mu how do you spell mu m i u mu just mu okay good all right.org you guys heard that alphal Lambda me.org just guys for coming on and we’ll see you again
Soon arm’s got a great thumbnail going on here but why is my uh head crooked like that it’s like an alien head grown out I has to crop these pictures you know sometimes the Eraser slips or maybe I do look like that who knows all right let’s let’s continue reading
It is a question of location it is also a question of rank okay where does he rank all right all right in your world where does he rank in your view where does he rank so rank we say here where do you rank where do you rank so and so in this
Field or other field or whatever like where do you rank uh um momes and the quarterbacks of today probably number one right and so it is possible the fact that it’s possible means that it’s not an explicit text that is law the fact that it’s possible okay is it’s a question about
Men and as a result that opinion will also be valid okay very high rank the sky indicates that okay next question he wrote a on Muslim he’s a Maliki means he he is of a lofty of the greatest rank the highest rank he cites him again that no mus no
Two Muslims differ disag uh differ um the fact that um any understanding uh that he is in a place is rejected okay let’s let’s actually cite exactly what he said he said uh I mean no no when I it is not from the verses that are taken on its literal meaning it is
Okay next one okay Omar is pumped now okay he said in his book in volume four part seven it has another narration the man said to the prophet peace be upon him I owe to free a slave I have to free a slave because of an oath he took or some other reason
Okay so do is she is this slave girl a Muslim or not so that if I free her I fulfilled my will so the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam asked her questions about what her belief is okay so it would make sense then that she doesn’t hear or something because
Otherwise why did not the man ask her right why wouldn’t the man just he she’s his slave right why didn’t he just ask her all right so the prophet Sall where is your god where is Allah to you is he one of these Idols or is he uh the
One God that we worship so he says here that he’s not asking the location of Allah he’s just asking what her religion is because the question is is she a Believer or not is she one of us Muslims who worship Allah that is that we Face Thea and the of Dua is
The heavens or or and we we can say we worship the one in the sky meaning the one who is the of of prayer to him is the sky okay the of Dua is the sky right and it is permissible to say in uh Mai language meaning in loftiness in
Rank all right and and his affair in terms of the work of angels happens in the sky physically happens in the sky far above us so this is what he’s saying here all right and so he says it is not a because of all the possible meanings that it could have this is
Means by the way again I’m repeating again the they’re welcome to have their uh View and opinion on this um and not that they need anyone’s permission but we are not at war with their opinions we’re just saying this is what have said says all right is a location is incompatible with
Belief in him in his book All right we it is established that the skies cannot contain Allah subhana wa tala right and it cannot contain him all the directions of the earth cannot contain Allah this is that her pointing to the sky means loftiness and so greatness is pointed to as being physically above you physically point
With your hands up like this where is so and oh he’s way up we say this all the time okay oh the of the past they’re way up there but they’re physically not up there we mean by that in their greatness they’re up there that’s what we mean and
That’s what she means and his greatness and his rank okay he is up there of course so you have to put Aon on that or the jasm here is actually rather than the prophet wasam was not intending his location he’s intending which God do you worship okay so therefore it is all
Right is asking is it the god of the earth these pagan gods or is it Allah subhana wa tala whose is the heavens he replied to on this he says okay so that’s a poic and a JB at and we don’t want to get into the argumentation of the we just presenting
Thear opinion about this Okay what did he say it’s not a because it has many different meanings possibility uh as for trying to establish that it means his location okay Allah subhana wa tala said that he is transcendent or affirms his Transcendence Beyond time and space who whose is everything in the heavens
And the Earth whose is it it is Allah’s everything in the skies is the property of Allah anything that exists in the day and the night which is everything is his time night and day night and day everything in time is his these two verses indicate that time and
Space all of it is in the possession of Allah and that indicates that he is transcendent Beyond it time and space I think that’s enough for reading this for now I guess we got our point across sometimes our live stream covers needs to cover secondary questions such as this
Hadith um so that you can really be aware and have an idea of what’s uh the have said about it and we do that and I repeat it again without any intent to establish argumentation um and I don’t follow the doctrine or the or the or the sorry the
The saying I don’t follow that idea that we should never talk about these things I think that’s the opposite we should always talk about things that um that do come up in people’s mind and do come up in conversation right it’s far better to talk about these things rather than to just try
To never discuss them right you’re not going to really succeed when you um just say well let’s just not talk about everything Amar says of du the sky did I get that right yes just as the of Salah where does our chest and our face direct
To the ca right the of du is the sky as a so doesn’t mean that when you make du you have to do this you can look down to your hands with in humility nothing no problem to do that I repeat again for everybody go to laosinaa uh laosinaa to the
Creation when it’s in uh in the Disobedience of the Creator okay it means in that specific order does it mean we SLO off our allegiance to him and his state so I have a a Muslim ruler today and he comes up to me and he says listen I need you to
Um to go to this club and I need you to uh you start giving daah in the club with alcohol and women and all that stuff I say to him no that’s forbidden I’m not doing it simple as that and uh he says I’m your ruler I said yeah Allah
Is the first ruler right so he say are you rebelling against me no I’m not rebelling against you you’re you’re the King still I don’t have no problem with that but I’m not doing this so it means in this specific matter you don’t obey him but Rebellion is not permitted for
Us so what’s going on why don’t you uh have the other picture it looks good you don’t like it the campus oh there another oh the picture on the inside okay Walmart is work hard at work making thumbnails a thumbnail making machine okay huh no no I’m good alhamdulillah
Too much caffeine today by the way I’m off coffee alhamdulillah for the in rajab did it before Shan even how do you do it um since rajab started I only been drinking tea in the morning Daisy chai you know that so it’s caffeine is enough but less and then the trick is when
You’re um doing having swords to have a little bit of caffeine okay why is it forbidden to look up while in prayer because the Sunnah is to look straight and the prophet forbade looking up why did he forbid looking up Allah knows best so that you could look straight that’s it
You should look straight or down where you make sujud on two opinions of the the jurists your your thoughts on Muhammed Who’s acting a lot like Dash never even heard of him who is he Omar never even heard of him no shemi is the opposite of that
He’s more on the side of things mamed never even heard of him I see him now pulled him up online but I heard of him uh question for you here’s another question do you choose a meab before stating arcv no not at all when you join
AR we’re not going to ask you what your meab is you watch any video that you want there’s base Essentials and there’s plus uh or also known as basic um don’t forget to like share and subscribe so that you can get notifications okay is it possible that Allah tests us
With something we cannot bear okay the answer we don’t worry about the nature of the test we only worry about what is has Allah commanded us to do okay and we say that the Shar is always bearable so for example if Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala tests you with a very difficult
Parent who asks you to do very difficult things right ask you to do very difficult things does the shat change and in that say that you don’t have to obey them well we have to ask if it’s physically detrimental to to your body or forbidden in your religion okay and you’re still a
Dependent upon them in their home then you don’t have to do them your mom says to you I don’t want you fasting I want you taking the medical school exam you disobey her you have to disobey her your dad says I don’t want you praying fed in the morning you should
Sleep so that you can study no you disobey him or your mom says says to you I need you to go out and uh to become tough you go out and SN and and and shovel snow with a t-shirt on only you’re going to get the flu the Shar
Itself says you disobey in that case you don’t go and harm yourself so the question is should not be should be what is the Shar regarding this test all right what does the Shar say regarding this if now you come to me and you say hey I’m a 13-year-old kid
Every day my mom makes me do like an hour of chores and I never have time to relax we say that you have to have sa with you but you are allowed to talk to her you’re allowed to ask an uncle or a grandparent to soften up
Okay 30 minutes of chores is enough let’s say so the sh is allowing you to talk F it’s allowing you to ask your uh mom to decrease it the chores so but other than that you still have to have patience yeah you you would have to have patience
With that now here’s another question my mom told me divorce this woman she looked at me I don’t know way like the way she looked at me divorce her no you don’t have to uh obey that your mom says I’m extremely sick find a time take me to the doctor you
Have to obey that you say Mom I got two jobs I got seven kids doesn’t make a difference you find a time take it out of your sleep take it out of your vacation time okay so you the question should be the belief is that the Shar will never demand from you
Something you cannot Bear all right young men not allowed to look at porn oh but everywhere can’t resist it yes you can resist it you can resist it even if you fall into it you make Toba all right so that’s the meaning of it is that Allah does not test you he
Doesn’t he does not it’s not that he doesn’t test you with what you cannot bear that’s incorrect he doesn’t hold you liable for what you cannot bear I’m traveling and I need to pray oh you shorten and combin I’m sick don’t fast that’s what we’re talking about
Here so it’s not does Allah test you with more than you can bear with what you can’t bear it’s does does he obligate you the test is not to be judged the Shar is what will judge the sacred law what is a sacred law regarding a very difficult boss get another job
Right you can get another I don’t have to obey you okay I don’t have to obey you I’ll quit and get another job I’ll resign and get another job all right right or my only skill set is to be a bartender well that’s Haram so yeah
That’s your test and you can bear that test because Allah has forbade it I mean a guy 30 years he’s been a bartender his whole life my only skill said is be aart and now I became Muslim what do I do well we wouldn’t have said anything in
Your first year of Islam or the first period of time in Islam but now that you asked we have to tell you the truth you can’t be a bartender hey it’s a big test okay you can pass this test because if it’s sacred law and it’s accurate
Knowledge you can pass the test I hope I made it clear cash says can a woman travel without Maham for the sake of girls only holiday is uh how pendon says is monarchy un Islamic uh cash om yes omra yes but trip to Las Vegas trip down to
Florida down to Miami Miami you know spend a couple days in La you the the the Islamic schools of thought have all said you need a Mah to travel some said the distance of a day and a night and some said traveler’s distance but in general traveling of a woman is with a
Maham has to have a Maham with her and you see there’s a lot of stuff that happens to people um and even if nothing happened to people the rule would stand if nothing no harm if if if 10 years passed and women traveled all by themselves and not a single woman was a
Costed or harmed okay nor did it affect a single household and everyone was happily married the rule would stay the same it’s just the rule you can look for wisdoms or you can not look for wisdoms that’s just the rule that the prophet sat down okay but I’m sure that if you look
You’ll find a lot of wisdom in it here’s another question Adam n70 someone applying the H like an individual who gives 100 lashes instead of the State forbidden only the ruler of a country the legitimate recognized ruler of a country can apply HUD no if you if we said yes to that
Then what if they committed murder right are we going to kill him no no I’m not all to do that they make Toba instead and they do good deeds to get themselves forgiven what were we going to say Omar what does it say question here says is it permissible for women to to
Dance for husband a and in a women Gathering yes not just permissible maybe even men for the husbands permissible for the women is monarchy un Islamic yes it’s not Islamic to to to give it’s not has it’s not the the Sunnah to pass rule on just because someone’s your
Son the Sunnah is that the leaders of the soci Society the elders the Learned ones they choose amongst themselves who is most worthy of following as a leader so in that aspect hereditary rule is not the Sunnah however if they do it and they establish power right then maybe
That part of it was sinful but the they’re still legitimately to be followed they’re legitimate rulers the transfer was not according to Sharia and you understand but the uh they’re still once they’re in charge it doesn’t matter how they attained it that’s a separate question so how the ruler attains his
Position is one question what do they do afterwards is another question if they establish power and they’re clearly in charge then we’re obligated to submit to that power as the ruler we can’t rebel against it you understand what’s the best way to catch up on years
Worth of Miss prayers we only take two more questions going to wrap up early today you pray every Salah two times and by the way you don’t pray any NAA okay you pray but you can pray wit you pray every Salah two times for the amount of years that you missed your
Prayer and even a little extra to make absolutely sure that you covered all your Mis prayers is essential while traveling in Hani is it yes or no when you’re traveling yes you do it is is wiping over the face with your hands after Dua yes it’s in to do that
It’s a to do that a light it’s been about a week since since I stopped wearing nikab after several month of wearing it it feels really weird and uncomfortable to not have it on can you give me any advice for adjusting no adjusting time will adjust
You time will adjust you went from one um opinion that is valid in F to another opinion that is valid in F so it’ll just take time for that adjustment to take to to occur what’s a join what’s the ruling on joining the Freemasons their network is
Solid I don’t have enough knowledge on whether the fre and Masons are truly actually Satan worshippers at the end of the day or not so I can’t tell you I don’t know what they do what if they do only Halal things then joining them is halal like joining Workers Union all
Right if they do Haram things then those things you can’t do okay if a child is born deaf is obligation of Sal upon them yes because they can be given the message by reading likewise if someone’s born blind he’s given all his message by listening If the child is born blind and
Deaf then there’s no Sharia applicable upon them even if like we have the example of Helen Keller she’s an exception the in the Shar if you’re born blind and deaf you have no even if you learn to communicate with the person that’s for them for them for them they
Have no in the and they in that case we believe they’re growing up as a Muslim in this day and age I didn’t know I could get married young when I went went to University I told my mom that I wanted to get married and engage and she didn’t
Let me did my mom commit sin I don’t think so because there is and there is harm and benefit so if the society deems that life is now so complicated that you can’t get married at 16 for some reason the society deems that right let’s say hypothetically well it’s not a
Hypothetical that is the reality most people deem marriage at 15 16 17 18 to be still young does that mean that’s the Shia’s position no that’s the of the people they could be wrong right I mean today we if you really wanted to you may
Be able to work it out but you would still if you are a dependent upon your mom and dad you still have to obey them okay if you’re a dependent of them once you work and you live on your own then they cannot tell you not to
Marry they can’t stop you marriage is treated like a dire a dire need like food and water they can’t stop you from marrying likewise a woman who’s been married before got divorced or her husband died then goes back to her father’s house he can’t stop her from
Marrying but he still has to be there with her as a he still has to be there with her in the process but he can’t stop Her what do you think about the people who are doing Special prayers and things like that because today is there’s no special for is and except education General but there’s no set for it ladies and gentlemen we got to go lot of good questions here but we do have to
Go please don’t forget L 37.org support us we need a little bit of a boost sh good morning to Y Allah Allah
