Was saying it [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] Was welcome to Detroit and black and white man who the for this show show okay welcome to the black and white here we are at mcchain on Mig and tro uh all right getting trouble good morning okay you a guess here we might have to put you up
Good morning Vanessa m good morning good morning everybody good morning to Detroit black and white viewers if you’re watching us this morning we want you to hit that like button hit that like button subscribe and share you can watch us on all platforms Facebook live
X you can also view all of our episodes on detor in black and white.com okay and er Brown we on YouTube how you doing I’m doing all right B okay last week uh we had guest uh from what what podast was there Jo Joe the Joe Joe
Detroit or something man she blew it up yeah yeah yeah I think a lot of people are very interested in sin Grace and I we’ve been we’ve all been hearing stories for years about Sin Grace about all the problems I mean I had a friend last year he checked out of there he
Just said it was so it it wasn’t clean and and so there was just a lot of issues there they have a staff shortage and you know it’s typical uh healthare these days well if I got an accident if I got an accident by sign out Grace take
Me to Swanson right there the hospitals are usually the most dirtiest places you can go so I mean when you say what you’ve gone to the different hospitals you don’t do that but I bet you going go there Len you if I lived in that neighborhood that was
The closest hospital absolutely well I go to SW okay okay yeah I do think that the the service you on that payroll listen no I think that that the service is so far not even so par right but I think that’s purposely done and I think
We got that from the guest last week did you did you not get that feeling from the guest last week that is purposely that’s purposely it’s all about budget well no it’s it’s about it’s about them saying okay we need to serve the community so we’re going to serve them but barely
We’re going to cut cut but the cuts are happening in every H you know bont or corwell whatever it’s called right now I mean all the places but there they’re really cutting wait isn’t Sonic Grace part of DMC or yes it is part of DMC and
The other the other dmcs away right the other dmcs are not in that condition I just think it’s an awful it’s in the city the used to be wait a minute it used to be it used to be three hospitals SI Grace and now they merged them all in
That area and that area been stable same 50 years ago that same neighborhood is still bad neighborhood no so but they Consolidated all those hospitals and and they not giving you good service okay that’s the problem you know they they closed the cancer treatment center and now folks that don’t have transportation
Cannot uh where they g go so the city Detroit technically you only have what about three or four hospitals what thepit and then receiving like is like an um Sonic Grace and then you have the one that’s on the east side St St J St John’s St John so there only three
Hospitals in the whole city of Detroit you got Henry four oh Henry four four or four that’s part okay F so it’s six so one on Jefferson what’s one on Jefferson is one on Jefferson no that’s Nursing Facility talk Riv fa it’s not a hospital but you have
The DMC in the way State era you have hry Ford this is midterm and then you have one on the extreme East Side say on the extreme west side and the one on the West Side you getting virtually nothing well but you could be in in England in London they got hospitals and
Something happened to you and they take you to the wrong hospital that don’t specialize in that you die I read uh several articles so you talking about socialized medicine and stuff it it could be worse now even with people getting uh uh insurance now it’s still Len they they
Chargeing $300 $400 for pills and stuff not according to I thought the cost of medicine and all that was coming down go to hospital you get but anyway yeahp and you don’t have insurance kind of building you get you’ll be bankrupt ain’t no question and plus you got a
Student long you been pay for 30 years you really can’t pay what was her uh her her statement she said Clos she said Clos the you know what down she used the b word said shut the [ __ ] down exactly she got a lot of play but I
I’ll go to you Vanessa uh your outrage your black history uh P okay so my outrage is uh read this story about a 17y old that was shot and killed by a police officer uh conducting a welfare check if this was in Nebraska the police officer who was conducting a welfare
Check apparently that uh they got a uh call that this young man was uh presting if he was going to self har and now the young man is is dead and you know it seems to me and especially in the last 10 years that we’ve heard a lot
A whole lot about mental illness and that kind of thing I just you know I don’t know I I don’t believe that the police should be responsible for going out on a mental health situation you know so I that’s my that’s it’s my outrage I’m very sad about a 17 year old
That’s key that is a key um you want me to do my black history okay so I decided to talk about let me see M’s mayy comedian uh we have uh uh we have been inated I don’t know was qu I don’t know should dress up as a
Man she look good as a man then she got on her M May the outfit with no teeth right um I don’t know if you know a lot of people been paying attention to what’s going on with the comedians in our community right and I’ve said time and time again
I have an affinity for Comedians and because my father was a comedian that’s what he did for a living so I want to talk about um what venues did your father uh perform so here you know back in the day it was like the 20 grand the very familiar with the 20
Grand there was a chap right exact those places yes those were the places that back then from what I understand is that you would go in have a show was more like a uh you know dinner or cont you you would get a show you could get
Something to eat and drink and it you know it was really cool people get dressed up and they would actually get a real show a real band A Real you know all of that stuff so anyway um getting back to let me see got your password mom yeah I forgot my password
Alrighty okay so her name is Jackie and they called her mom’s maelly she was born in 19 I mean 1897 she um made a transition in 1975 she she began performing on the Chipman circuit and we hear that a lot about black performers during that time they
They made their money on the Chipley circuit they did pretty well on the on the Chipley circuit but she uh became first female comedian to appear as a solo act at the Apollo Theater in hary that’s a big deal um you ever see on TV
I she was she was funny she she was funny I’ve never listened to any of her comedy but just looking at it was quite interesting she was nasty too she was she was filthy she was nasty and and she she would do political St now these clowns that call comedi comedians
Uh this time in our life that are menstral see steping feter in them they was educated and they had they to break in the business so they had to act stupid and all that and they made they made their money but they opened some doors these clowns don’t have to act
Like that and you think they making millions of dollars and all they wor talking about Kevin I’m talking about all of them I’m talking about all the main stepen A Smith the main you know what they get on there and yeah yes so so now they talking about each
Other mama I caught Will Smith get po and all this other stuff you know who want to hear that and the comedians of today is just no it’s no different than hip hop hip hop is a dead art in my opinion when you look at the originator
They sold out yeah yeah so when you talking about when you look at the originator it’s like Grand Master Grand Master CL all way through and all that did you see more drink champ you watch drink champ Stewart Marth Stewart not all of them they they Trump
Now Snoop Doggy Dog little way Trump yeah yeah he apologized for the video he did years ago all them so but they’re just clowns but you have to realize clowns or is it listen everybody had their own political leanings and guess what I you have to you may not agree but
I think you should respect them they they these people forever reason one of the things you’re talking about one of the things that I think you even talked about this when you was on the radio about um Ice Cube and how uh people were really dogging him because he went met
With the former president with a black agenda and I had no problem with that because no it’s important to be in the room it’s no different than the reference it was I think 20 or 40 reference that met with Donald Trump back in 2012 2016 you have to be in the
Room only way you can make a difference is understand I’m in the HR field and I can always tell when a manager director come to me and they have no perspective on our culture least listen le le you dealing with somebody that’s okay you got the president call you I’ll go I
Would meet with the president but I’m looking at how they hire U they interview black coaches in the NFL the Rooney R that’s well you know what get around it hey Eric I’m interview you this what we used to do when I work for the city of
Detroit under Co young you know people want they want a job they looking for job I had a guy tell me who I work with he said well if you need me to interview them I’ll interview in other words they go they waste their time interview him
You know he not getting anything I I said no man I he said but you know have a lot of people you know there’s about three or four of us that does those kind of interviews so that’s it’s [ __ ] but my point is though and but my point is this just
Because they don’t agree with your political lenes in my estimation that that that does not make no I’m not talking about I’m not talking about their politics I’m talking about they just full of [ __ ] they they jokes they making this stuff personal they talking about people wi M kids or whatever
Somebody what’s going on because you know even with the Monique interview recently you know she made a comment she made a comment that if she was white and she was when Williams did his interview everybody but you know you know he was telling the truth
When a black woman when a woman gets on there she got to be bitter she needs to get over it listen don’t nobody get to dictate how I feel don’t nobody get dict when I get over anything you should be cing you should be in the house this way
You your way you listen you can’t use that some people went on that hold tight hold tight we gonna take we gonna take a break we G let we got got some water about I thanks Charles for let me use your garden supplies I’ll make sure I put it
Back in the garage man tending to that lawn is a lot of work J true Jim I’m more concerned about keeping this house what’s going on well you know Sarah lost a job two months ago right yeah since we lost that income the bills have been
Piling up and we’re so far behind I don’t want to lose the house because of back taxes I don’t know what to do I understand the same thing happened to my sister and her husband when he lost his job do you know the Wayne County treasur has plans and programs to
Help people stay in their homes no I didn’t tell me about it yeah go to www. treasure. waynecounty.com to see if you qualify say that again www. treasury. county.com got It so so can I just finish my statement my statement is this nobody gets to dictate how somebody or when somebody gets over anything nobody gets to dictate to anyone anyone how they should feel and how they should Express how they feel I take offense to anybody calling a woman
Who says look this is what was done to me and I don’t like it and this is how I feel oh you’re a bit of black woman you need to get over it [ __ ] you okay Alan I I was going to say about when we talk
About uh ice me with Trump I mean in some ways I mean it’s smart on Ice Cube’s part if he really has wants to talk about the Black Agenda why not but Trump is not listening he’s he’s just he sees the black man as a prop to try to get more votes
And I’m reluct I would be reluctant let me just say I would be reluctant to meet with somebody like Trump who’s going to use me in that way do you think he should not have met with him is I’m not saying he shouldn’t have but I I
I said we have to be a little when you go on the lion you got to be aware that that’s what you do you think think you think Trump you don’t think he wasn’t aware I don’t know I I haven’t talking he but but but I’m saying but Trump is just a
User of people and he disposes of them no different no different office I use her there’s no different than the Democratic party like my outrage is the way that see the media you see the political party saying that we need black people I tell people all time [ __ ]
The Democratic party because what have they done for us what has the other party done for us they don’t have to do anything for you don’t vote for them you don’t get for nothing I don’t vote for I’m a split party ticket voter so when people say what have they done for you
You don’t get something for nothing at the end of the day if you’re voting for a political party at 92% which black people did in 20 and to your point Allan about Ice Cube meeting with Trump you had a vice president that was black who was the candidate as well as
The old man that did not want to meet with Ice Cube so he went to someone else to say this is what I’m presenting to you at least you’re giving him an opportunity you saying what Biden didn’t want to me I’m saying that Biden didn’t
Feel a need to meet with Vice CU because he felt he already hit the black vote but we still we saw wait a minute he did you belong to a fraternity all these fraternities and sororities I’m in a sorority SG Ro Incorporated all he he didn’t have to Carmela vice president Carmela
Harris cameela whatever come what is it Harris Harris Harris she was able to usher in the black vote I mean all the Greek letter organizations organized reg need right which is so laughable considering here’s the laugh here’s the laughable part about her and the black support because to play the game
Go beat up on a woman she was a terrible candidate she a terrible candidate she inent obviously she’s confident because she holds she got Grandpa a comment there what what did Les say lesie little said what is hip hop gangster rap doing to improve the betterment of African nothing that’s
Easy answer nothing but finish my outrage what what it has done you say nothing what it has nothing what has it done got some people put in a different and what they doing with it no no no Club let be very clear let’s be very clear who they got rich were the record
Producers and the record Executives and the record companies all these guys are now rifted they they’re they’re fake millionaires okay let me look an an has a good point when she talks about it isn’t the Democratic party that consistently Works taking away the black vote I mean the Republicans have done
Everything they try to okay here we go with that here we go with that let me let me finish let me finish that the the Republicans you can’t agree with that look the Republicans have done everything to try to limit the days people can vote in big
Centers Urban are I want you and the person that put that comment to do research on the voter Turner so you can’t talk about leing the black vote talk about voter turn somebody we got a candidate we gonna bring him on all right we got our
Candidate back there J all right we are gonna doie you want me to move no no we got uh somebody that’s GNA talk about we have a mayor candidate here for the election next year we’ve got a a mayoral election and uh we are not clear on
Whether uh mayor dou mayor douet hasn’t declared although there’s them running for governor all right come on here young man all for we just having fun yeah yeah all right okay introduce yourself to our audience uh I’m Jo okay candidate for mayor of the city of
Detroit you from Detroit yes sir tell us a little bit about it well I’ve been in Detroit since I was three years old um where were you born Philadelphia Pennsylvania and uh my mother was uh my mother and father were ministers and uh I was raised in the Ministry
Environment so uh went to uh Rose Elementary Jo can make sure you speak right there okay appreciate that with Rose Elementary girls junior high okay yeah Northeastern lived on the east side park of vany area okay what street uh well I grew up at on Townsen and then we moved
Across the street from the ubq on yeah I I lived on Maran between van and maxw so I’m very familiar with that area oh yeah yeah okay well what why why why man you know uh I’ve watched Many office holders I’ve been active in the Detroit Community since I was 12 years old I started out at Bon bookstore on Dexter with Edon yes he had edine he had a bookstore and every uh once or twice a week they would have meetings on Afrocentric uh ideas and
History and so I grew up uh that way uh at I I also joined the Nation of Islam while I was young I uh been in the NAACP Snick I’ve been in a lot of different groups and organizations as a youth and so I’ve also worked in the behind the scenes for many
Candidates which which candidates have you work for well um the the last one was uh I passed out fers for Angela Callaway okay okay I also call me young Jr uh when he ran Premier uhuh I did a a lot with him can you tell us a little bit more about your your
Background in terms of the jobs that you’ve had over the years and in your education uh uh yes sir well uh before I graduated [ __ ] in 69 I actually had a uh certificate for tech at from Shapiro nursing school okay what happened is I actually uh dropped out of school for
One year and went into the program at canai hospital CH nursing school was right next to S and so uh I had uh in High School junior high I had many jobs and uh we uh pretty much uh graduating cly in 69 Shaw College what you study years you study
Business administration business and so uh I also took uh history class when Dr Ben came to Shaw college for one year I was in his class Dr Jo Canon Ben the historian so uh at around that time I opened up my first business brother’s party store which was on H Harwell in
West 7 Mile okay how’d you get into the party I mean at that time what year was that uh well I’m not good with dates and times but I was 20 years old 73 now and the I mean that was a predominantly well predominantly became a caldian
Uh sort of business in terms of and how did how did you get into you know what happened with the c came in and and bought everybody out so that’s change other guy first of all when I opened up my store uh I rented it from the Jewish
Welfare League that on that old STP okay and uh I uh I actually had three stor in the city of Detroit and it uh what were they what all party stores they were party stores well what what I wanted to focus on really is why do you think you can be
Mayor yeah be man uh well uh the biggest part of it is I look at it as having uh management skills being a good mayor having a connection to the community and looking at the skills that I do have I think right now this is a critical point in time for Detroit in
That uh how you get your name out there though you know you know you going to have some well known and well financed folks that’s that already one or two announcing that they that they’re going to run how do you overcome name recogn and and the financial part of yes well
You know uh when whenever you need to overcome big obstacles you still have to take the first step and you have to know and understand that you have the skills and so basically our platform is very powerful it’s a it’s a people’s platform people empowerment platform uh yeah right just you what
Does that me okay well uh first and foremost the understanding of the difference between voting power and political empowerment okay so when we’re talking about uh how I would bring in uh an improvement on the quality of life we’re talking about bring we’re talking about bringing then um other
Options for Detroit’s economic like what stability International confidence okay how how you going to do that how do you think be a how I will do it well first and foremost I’ll begin to uh set the base or Foundation to bring in inter ational companies uh to bring in the diverse
Economy that Detroit needs if you do not have anything but two three four large Industries in an area looking at many small cities and towns we already see when one of those Industries go out uh you know how the negative impact on the community economic hold that
Thought we going to take take a break we’re going come back and we’re going to continue the conversation thanks Charles for let me use your garden supplies I’ll make sure I put it back in the garage man tending to that lawn is a lot of work tell you
TR Jim I’m more concerned about keeping this house what’s going on well you know Sarah lost her job two months ago right yeah since we lost that income the bills have been piling up and we’re so far behind I don’t want to lose the house because of back taxes I don’t know what
To do I understand the same thing happened to my sister and her husband when he lost his job do you know if the Wayne County treasure has plans and programs to help people stay in their homes no I didn’t tell me about it yeah go to www. treasure. waynecounty.com to see if you
Qualify what’s that side again www. treasure. waynecounty.com got it okay we back uh with uh Joe Hashim am I pronounced Hashim has i w make sure what’s your origin of that name uh it’s an ancient name of my ancestors okay okay I I was looking at
Uh parts of your your agenda you said uh you wanted to uh a a create a city of Detroit and uh DPS that school district partnership listen man I’m all for that are you saying that the the city should be running the schools no I’m not saying that what I
Sharing is the city should help in supplementing well but you but but you know that anytime City spend they gonna spend some money they gonna want control you know I don’t necessarily think it’s a bad thing but go ahead well I think uh there are you know Detroit can set up a Career
Academy for our children we have a budget of 2.4 billion so it doesn’t hurt to uh put u a few million dollars toward the K12 uh you know programs it it doesn’t hurt so we can still run independent options for young people to get you know skills so that they can
Uh go into the job market whether it be city employees or the basic job market you can make sure that they have the skill set to compete in the 21st century we don’t have to just totally rely on the Detroit Public School System where they need help or
Assistance the city can step in well and and and you said residency for city employees you know that’s a state issue how how how are you GNA you know that’s been a a a big fight for the last 70 8 years people want to live outside the
City and they finally got it so you don’t have to live in a city where you where you work at how would you try to implement that well first and foremost we know that that negatively impacts the community that’s yeah all the cops and the firment moved out the city so you
Know those the first yes so basically uh everyone talks about it’s a state item but cities have rights too just like you have states rights you have cities rights so we would do whatever is necessary to implement a program and I’ll share this also with a Career Academy when you have
Young people uh mentored or educated into some of the city departments this means that they’ll actually be the most qualified for many of those jobs so basically we want the children to have the same playing field as everybody else for equal opportunity for City good
Paying jobs okay how do you uh get in touch with your campaign my campaign um Joel Hashim we do not have the website up yet however if you interested in assisting us uh my phone number is 313 281 0166 uh also you can contact uh Detroit’s United LLC

Um in for our camp cign we’ll also forthcoming uh this week we’ll have cash app we’ll have uh zel and all the other ways that you can contribute to our campaign also we’d like you to share with your neighbors your friends uh the uh your your family
Everyone can assist or do something this is about taking uh uh our city for the people okay and giving our community an opportunity for change okay we have to have me back one yeah no I just want to say thank you for coming um for all
Those that are viewing he came here lock and lo he has his whole family here that supported him thank you for coming continue to watch Detroit have you back as the campaign uh gear up and get hot you know I like to say I have 18 Grand children that live
In the city of Detroit and have nine children okay so I have a vested interest not only in my children but the city of Detroit’s children takes a village to raise a child and we uh the city of Detroit this is all of our children how how old do your
Grandkids what’s the range uh my oldest is uh close to 30 something my young youngest is um two years old I think okay and uh you got some volunteers ready for two youngest children I have a 12 year old and a soon to be 16 year
Old oh W okay okay who goes to mford okay plays basketball so I have invested interest in the future for our children and our grandchildren and I do appreciate you all giving me an opportunity to share what Jo has Shen is about and we’re g see you again than you
Very much thank you so much good luck take a quick good luck there thanks Charles for let me use your garden supplies I’ll make sure I put it back in the garage man tending to that lawn is a lot of work tell true Jim I’m more concerned about keeping this house
What’s going on what you know Sarah lost a job two months ago right yeah since we lost that income the bills have been piling up and we’re so far behind I don’t want to lose the house because of back taxes I don’t know what to do I understand the same thing happened
To my sister and her husband when he lost his job do you know if the Wayne County treasur has plans and programs to help people stay in their homes no I didn’t tell me about it yeah go to www. treasure. waynecounty.com to see if you qualify say that again www. treasury. waynecounty.com got It okay minut I just want to thank y Hasen uh and his family for coming here you know I’m sure we’re gonna get some more calls about people W to come on and and and push their candidates come on you know we’re here at mchan corner of Michigan and Trumble every Saturday at
10 o’clock go ahead okay so here’s a a a viewer who says I want to know what this panel thinks of trump in his Camp targeting a black grandmother and her daughter and threatening them to falsely confess to ballot tampering so he could throw out black votes in fton County
Georgia where you well you know if Trump uh dogs out uh George Bush Mama Ted crew Daddy all these folks call him all kind of names what you think he going to do to those two uh sister the mother and daughter in in Georgia that that’s
Powerful the course he can say and do anything and he got these people oh yeah oh it don’t matter that’s just Donald Trump it’s like when I was growing up you had somebody that was in the neighborhood and you know he he was a a
[ __ ] up a screw up and [ __ ] but he got a pass cuz they said oh you know he drank too much yeah that’s uh we had a guy named Pontiac yeah Pontiac that’s what they call him Pontiac you know and you know but he can he can urinate outside do all kind of
[ __ ] and he got away with it that’s Donald Trump you know and they gave him a free pass and and and other folks would have done what Trump uh has been doing they would have been called to the carpet and they would have been checked out he isn’t he being called on the
Carpet he just he just blowing up it’s like it’s like it’s a badge of honor now here’s here’s a I have a little video that I want to play because in the mayorcas where they were trying to impeach uh the secretary of the homeland security guy uh margorie Taylor green
Was complaining that the Democrats had a hidden uh weapon there and here’s here’s we’ll play this although Democratic Congressman Al Green’s entrance was actually more dramatic than Stone Cold’s as he was in the hospital recovering from emergency abdominal surgery last Friday and Republicans therefore assumed he wouldn’t be president for the vote
But he was here’s how it went down according to the New York Times three House Republicans had already cast votes against impeaching my orcus and based on attendance at the previous vote the GOP could afford no more then like a scene out of a political thriller representative Al Green Democrat of
Texas appeared at the last moment to cast a surprise ballot from a wheelchair wearing blue hos hosital clothing and tan socks he voted no Mr Green’s vote was decisive it tied up the measure 2115 to 215 and handed a stunning defeat to speaker Mike Johnson I was determined to
Cast The Boat long before I had no idea how close it was going to be Mr Green said an interview on Tuesday night from his hospital bed where he had returned shortly after voting I didn’t come assuming that my vote was going to make a difference I came because it was
Personal whoa I came because it was personal delivered from a hospital bed after after making a surprised last minute appearance to cast a deciding vote it’s one hell of a line I mean who’s going to play Al Green in the movie about this Schwarzenegger hello my name is Congressman Al Green from
Texas they came because of is personal all right he said that’s not funny okay well no I thought it was great that I mean here it is the Republicans are you know we’re trying to we have a problem at the border I I don’t think anyone will disagree with that the
Senate has worked out a bill and you know mayoras the homeland security guy is working with the Senate to try to get a compromise Bill the the the border patrol Union endorsed the bill and the Republicans say no because Trump says job a that falls under your girl
Yes it does you know your girl she’s been The Invisible Woman when it comes to the Border issue listen he Grandpa Grandpa should have never picked her I had several candidates he could have had avilable if you want to pick woman AV because of their age you know what
You can’t win on Grandpa you going let you going let a 99 year old drive you cross country would you drive me cross country you right behind behind take I’ll take a I’ll take a plan offense anybody who talks I don’t want drive urive to young or you too old
Stop let me say this they on much you been saying you don’t think he’s too old the Optics alone Absol Focus one is gonna be seile and old insane and how many other scile people have we had in officeal Ronald Wilson I’ll say one thing problem picking people because of
Their age I don’t I don’t think I’ll say one thing I mean if you look at the performance of Joe Biden as as the president I mean it’s not hor he should have been W and done should have been W and done I like Joe Biden even though when he was a
Young guy he played footage with the segregationist he was against busing he he he said now yeah because it was a change because people you have the to change your mind right change your position right okay you didn’t change this guy this guy what change position what this guy still calling grown
Professional black men boy so what position has he changed West Mo he called West Moore the am Governor boy he called LL cooj whose name he couldn’t even pronounce boy I don’t name either what is it l don’t matter what his name is call boy the pointny is I’m black men professional

All but if our kids live in Detroit they toool Detroit the is but the point is that’s using the term open jungle using the term super Predators was just another name for calling black people what they are in his mind I don’t have any respect
For b v Clinton who do you want who do you want right now I right now the No Label when the no when the No Labels present their candidates I will vote for that before I vot for for is AER this is what we have Harris is
Bought and paid for and she promoted convert gym shoes what did conver gym shoes contribute to the black community based on them you would never see me any converts but what is conver G done in the black community based amount of gym shoes that they sold when she ran for president vice
President I’m just saying the man has has been a sh for the the coal industry and he’s he’s still getting Revenue all themi every job they showed you how screwed up West Virginia is uh The Real McCoy he been the Secretary State the governor the senator he was state senator he was everything
You know what he been telling those people we BR Joe Biden was on the school board then became a city councilman then became a state rep then became a senator for sun5 years that s experience to me experience that says he has a resume like no other res like no other that’s
What it says to me well Eric how how you gonna feel if you vote for the for Joe Mansion but say and that helps Trump get back it’s not helping Trump 1 plus one equals two the when people say you giving a vote to someone else I have no
Intention on voting for Biden or Trump so how’s my vote for someone else help someone just angry guy it doesn’t matter me angry black man sitting here on Michigan in TR but the rationale I mean I just don’t understand the rationale when someone says you’re voting for someone else that you had no
Intention listen I I respect your right to vote for whoever hell you want to vote for and because I do I’ll vote for who I want to vote for or 40% of people in the country don’t vote but but you know you know and I know
That this is a time in this country where really a third party is it might make a big difference especially you know people are frustrated at the at at looking at Granddaddy and insane man running against each other one going to go to sleep and the other
One going be put in a straight but there’s this Conformity that you have to vote for either the Democrat or Republican who else you got anyone but them twoone Corell West I’m just because because he don’t want to pay that child support I’m gonna say this look how old
Is he you don’t call him Grandpa yeah he’s 76 Okay so I mean really he’s younger than 81 let me say this I can say something I it would be great to have a greater variety more parties and stuff like that but the way our system is set up currently you if
You vote for a third party but if we if we have a party like they got in in Great Britain or Israel we can get n Yahoo Jr because he got how many of those crazy yeah they wi but the people so to your Alan to your point are the part are the
Parties a problem or the people the problem well the systems a problem the system is is is is [ __ ] up that we continue down the same path where we end up with two candidates who look you know we could we could do better well we can
Do what Nevada did none other above like Nikki H they won’t that was orchestrated listen at the end of the day we I think we all came Timothy squ politics politics are local at the end of the day who’s ever sitting at the top how are how is your position going to
Impact my everyday life that’s really the question that people should be asking themselves when they go in there to vote if your presidency whoever it is is not impacting my life on a daily basis what difference does we got folks we had the guy that’s running now he was
In office it did he didn’t impact my life did he offend me did he offend me you bet your bottom dollar but we talked about a Black Agenda didn’t have one he didn’t care to have one didn’t do anything he had a trump agenda that was the guy the guy politics Timothy

On Michigan Trumble if we can have conversation I tell you I am all right I think get down get down we we I thank Bob Roberts for having us you talk about M maybe uh black history Yeah well black history end of itself is something should be 247 365 because I
Think waiting until one month to talk about black history and I say this because three weeks ago I was in an event in Detroit you had a middle school teacher at a predominant black school stood up and say how disappointed he was with 70% of his students did not
Know who mtin Luther King was even though they just got to celebrate his birthday believe I mean he was his I don’t believe know but when you have but when you have conversations all off in 2023 every day of the year I put a post on Facebook about different black
History events who’s yours today who’s your person today my person today is just blackness in general because we have offered so much right here we we have offered so much to this world so much to this country should we have should we have to draw a distinction
Should we not just be talking about black people through the year of American History instead of distinguishing no yeah I’m saying history of American History where black under but it’s under attack according to Ronda santis uh there was no lych in Florida segregation was a
Good thing uh you know uh slavery ah man it was a apprenticeship program you know people got fed people was housed and it was no big deal you know and so it’s not just coming from people that look like him I mean it’s not just n said that

Who who’s your uh me oh corm May Brown okay cor Brown I know somebody gonna get mad at me tell USM Brown was a bad woman she was a 1940 a police officer black woman Detroit Police Department then she went to law school at Wayne State and then she first
She ran for Congress didn’t win ran but then she ran for State uh Senate was the first black woman in the United States to get elected to the state senate 1952 but guess what happened along the way Brown pissed off the Democratic Party in the UAW because she said if the
Democrats don’t uh support the Civil Rights agenda don’t vote for it so you know what they did they they conspired to to beat her because she said don’t vote for if they don’t want to support our uh uh our civil rights we don’t need to give our votes and so she lost the
Next time she ran but guess what Eisenhower appointed her the first uh general counsel a black woman as a Postmaster General post for the uh post office so yes and she stayed in that spot until Democrats won the White House back as what they fired her but she was a staunch Democrat but
Yet she was doing what I advocate today not give the Democrats your vote that they keep pissing on you do not support these folks when they won’t come in your community do not do not do not because they raise millions and billions of dollars and they don’t spend it not not
One penny here so that’s my PO May Brown she was she she was a PR I’ve got a couple go ahead Dick Gregory the comedian Dick Gregory who I I think I mean besides being a very funny guy was a very social activist in civil

Filmmaker a detroiter who lives in DC uh and they talk about it’s it’s streaming I want it’s about Native Americans and how they’ve had to battle all the sports logos and like the Redskins and the Cleveland Indian and how people get you know and how they grew up with just you
Know mocking I mean we grew up with you know some sayings you know’ be like don’t be an Indian giver not knowing how you know offensive that was in much in much way when you know when I went to college somebody said to me yeah don’t
Worry about it I jwed him down and I’m like what yeah but anyways so Dick Gregory who passed away in 2017 really was a great contributor the other person was Wayne Davis he was the the first black FBI agent in Detroit in 1963 in 1981 he was the first black
Person to head up the Detroit FBI and he was from 81 to 85 and then he went to Philadelphia and he passed away I think it was 2020 but a a really a gentleman who really you know you know dick said he was in a restaurant he had a in front said I
