Incorporated tonight is the m black and gold scholarship pageant a tradition started by Alpha F Alpha decades ago to recognize women that deserve nothing more th most prise the Miss blacking go pageant was first held in 1976 at the alpha General convention in New York City today the contestants play an
Integral part in aiding the fraternity’s mission through community service social events and academic Excellence you are about to see the process of a the culmination of a long process filled with hard work and dedication tonight’s contestants are the embodiment of Grace and po Broadway has always been a source
Of spectacle and tonight’s show will be no exception these women are nothing short of stars that’s the truth and they’re bad as h Okay say that it’s not no you’re not that’s my my anyway without further Ado let’s meet our Dynamic judges of the Evening well first we have Tyrone jeene the assistant director of the CMM give a round of applause for you please next we have Ralph Mena he is is the Capal Arron chapter graduate advisor for Alpha FY Alpha Fraternity Incorporated let’s give him a round of applause up next we have ever Dudley
He’s the president of the beta theta Lambda chapter of alpha alpha right Applause man and next we have Jana Adams She is the pro program coordinator of cm and she is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority Incorporated lastly but certainly not least we have Anisha Wilson a residence coordinator on
East Campus working for housing dining and residence l so um clearly the judges are going to have a huge tax of he yeah I mean obviously they have the credentials but I don’t know how they going to make this decision tonight what do you mean somebody’s got to get CH it’s a passion
Right I mean yeah in theory but when you have women as dignified as the five we just saw I mean it’s going to be a tough decision to make honestly honestly I’m tired of talking about these women I’m trying to get to meet them me you know I
Know how this game goes once someone gets cown clean they’re going to forget about the boy people get a little bit of shine they have exist but I’m not getting s tonight oh heck no I’m in there early boy don’t nobody want you you about to get curved like a s r okay

Orthodonist and serve as a role model to young black woman I am also a dukee cheer and a dancer for the dancing Devils Nationals team Anthony J Angela once wrote a smile is a key that unlocks the doors of everybody’s heart let my smile unlock your heart to become your next Miss
Black and Gold my name is Ashley Miller you’re contestant number three the brilliant Coco Chanel once said a girl should be two things classy and fabulous good evening ladies and gentlemen I’m classy I fabulous and I am Amari Victoria St as your contestant number four I Tennessee home of Blues
Barbecue and ARA Franklin as a cultural anthropology major and premade student I hope to open a women’s center one day to empower women through health of Mind Body and Soul my personal empowerment starts with my name did you know Amari means Queen well that’s exactly who I am

With Mr Tyrone Jean assistant director of CMA so Tyrone joined the CMA in February 2015 after working with um residents life for several years and his role as assistant director of the CMA he is responsible for planning designing and coordinating trainings that promote diversity Multicultural education Community engagement and leadership
Development he will lead the r race speak initiative workshops culture class exhibit and advis the center for race relation relations and Common Ground programs Tyrone has a passion for working with students and encourages reflective thinking he has invested in the holistic education of students and guides them to become self- Advocate
Tyrone’s dream is for the CMA to serve as a welcoming environment for anyone who feels they don’t belong Tyrone holds a ba and African-American studies from the University of Virginia And masters of education and educational leadership and policy studies from Virginia Tech in his spare time he enjoys watching sports playing basketball attending church watching movies and spending time with his partner and dog now now let me ask you something real quick but all this stuff
How did you have time to come do This that’s real that’s real up next is Jana Adams the program coordinator of the CMA uh Jana joined the CMA staff in August of 2013 as a pram coordinator J’s responsibilities include coordinating Monday motivations and the down toe series Outreach to various student organizations and working with Embrace a
Collaborative effort amongst the CMA women Setter and do well Jana is an advocate for her students and serves as an adviser for mende Crossroad student advisory Council and the center for race relations which host a student Retreat Common Ground J finds especially gratifying developing relationships with students Campus Community Partners in
Hopes of creating a more inclusive environment on campus Jana holds a ba in English and political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Masters in Education and higher education Administration for North Carolina State University during her free time Jana enjoys reading traveling music explo exploring new
Restaurants Zumba and spending time with their family and friends people sleep on Zumba that’s hard I think it was that hard we don’t forgive you for this uh UNC and NC State but it’s cool next up is Anisha Wilson although a Texas native Anisha considers Nar Florida her home
She received her under undergraduate degree and been business management from the University of West Florida where she also became a proud member of Zeta F sorority incorpor okay from there she rece received a masters of education and curriculum and instruction with a special specialization in college student affairs from the University of
South Florida Anisha is currently serving in her first year at Duke as a residence coordinator on East Campus working for housing dining and Residence Life in Her Spare Time Anisha enjoyed scrapbooking playing sports and watching live musicals up next his brother Ed Dudley um brother Dudley was born in Harrisburg
Pennsylvania an Air Force bread that has traveled as far as trpo libia during his early years he is a middle child of five children of whom one older brother is also an alpha man initiated at the gamma beta chapter at NC Central University brother Dudley was initiated into Alpha
At the infamous a Oman chapter at North Carolina State University on a line of 14 spring 1980 and just celebrated his 35th Alpha versary March 21st brother Dudley is married to his lovely wife Deborah and they have a son dere who is a senior at North Carolina State University brother Dudley received his
Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in chemistry for North Carolina Central e he is currently looking for a new career opportunity but has worked as an associate biochemist with Eli Lil and Company and recently as a lead inspector for the medical device Company biom Incorporated he currently
Serves as a chapter president of the beta theta Lambda chapter of alpha alpha Fraternity Incorporated here at Duram North Carolina Brother D is passionate about reaching back and helping the next generation of black leaders develop the skills they will need to carry on the torch that was handed to him he serves
As a mentor with the real life 101 mentoring program at Hillside High The Men of Honor program of the Eno Valley Elementary and last but definitely not least we have Dr Ralph Mina he is from Asheville North Carolina and currently resides in Durham he is a practicing general dentist and owns his own
Practice in Med Dr Mah was initiated into the Muse data chapter of alpha by Alpha Fraternity Incorporated in the fall of 2000 he currently serves as the capital Arron chapter graduate advisor he is a a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and a member of his family and

Smart lady once told me never give up so I didn’t I continued to practice and lo and behold I make first chair in that Orchestra which is kind of a big deal um so that is my that is my greatest accomplishment and I will always remember you know even when the
