Viruses uh never in my life and many of you have a few more years on your your life than I do I haven’t seen so many viruses all at the same time my goodness and uh we we had a so many at the beginning of the year and then here in
Uh February and we’re just not going to give any of those viruses any influence over this body in the name of Jesus and we call our family our church those who are in United Faith with us we call them healed and whole in Jesus’s name praise
God and I tell you I’m happy to be back I missed Thursday and I tell you Thursday is definitely a day I don’t want to miss that’s my favorite day of the week praise God but I’m so glad to be here today to be back in the Pulpit

I thought we’d go back to the beginning hi this is Mike Hines and I’m a professor here at the Stanford Graduate School of Education where my work focuses on the history of America schools what we now know as Black History Month at its Beginnings as negro history week which which was invented by
The famed historian educator and activist Carter G Woodson in 1926 negro history week was a direct challenge to traditional curricula of the time period which often degraded and dehumanized black people negro history week was also inextricably linked to Black calls for social and political equality more than just a chance to talk
About a few notable achievements negro history week was a call to action although negro history we became one of his most widely known interventions it was only part of Dr Woodson’s efforts to develop democratize and disseminate information on black history he also pursued this work through the establishment of the
Association for negro life and history its journals the Journal of negro history and the Negro history bulletin and textbooks speeches pamphlets and materials for every grade level from college down to kindergarten now Woodson didn’t do this work alone moving from idea to reality took the dedication of thousands of
Black teachers most of them women who were largely responsible for shaping the celebration through their work in the classroom but also took the work of entire communities including churches fraternities and sororities libraries and lodges Social Clubs and Civic organizations this reflected Woodson’s desire to encourage lay people not just
Academics to preserve and present their own histories as the movement continued to grow it outstripped the bounds of a single week and the word negro which was outdated by the 1960s was replaced by a new generation born and raised in the Civil Rights struggle Black History Month emerged in its current form during
Those decades and is still going strong so is this celebration still relevant today well it depends on who you ask critics charge that the progress we’ve made from the 1920s to the 2020s has largely made Black History Month irrelevant or that worse singling out black history is actually counterproductive to broader efforts at
Inclusion although we may have made progress however research from the Southern Poverty Law Center and other sources still shows that we are far from our goal of honoring the multiple voices in our classrooms and challenging dominant narratives at the same time new and emerging movements for racial Justice
Call out for historical context which our schools simply fail to provide Carter G Woodson himself was cautiously optimistic that students in the future would no longer need black history month if we taught in ways that honored and elevated our students and told their stories all year

Some have dropped off and I’ve appointed some new ones praise God and they came in and they joined the journey after we’ve already settled in here praise God but everyone was in unity to be here and I sat back the Holy Spirit you know as you grow in the Lord you you realize
That as you Empower people and as you Empower teams and leaders you don’t have to be the one at the Forefront of everything right if you have teams and so I just let the people that I empowered and taught to make decisions and to flow and listen to God I I
Watched how everybody operated and I realized that there was Unity now I believe that there will be pillars everybody say pillars there will be pillars all across Southeastern lower Michigan which are going to be different campuses of our ministry praise the Lord I I’ve heard some of those campuses
Referred to other things and I’ve never said that and and that’s not part of our uh a rhetoric if you will but there are pillars so make sure that you have it right when you’re speaking it so that we can be in agreement that God is going to
Be establishing other pillars and of course you know uh everybody knows that I have a a heart for uh inner city and I says we’ll never uh look away from the 48228 where we came from or the 48227 praise God and so I’m looking for God to open doors there but I realized
That every single thing did not have to revolve around what came forth from my mouth but there was unity and when there is Unity there is the blessing and the blessing came in the most unique way that at the moment seemed to be exceptionally unfavorable but it was in Divine timing
And I thank God forward and our move to this location took place within just a few weeks of time when we were to exit our former campus and the Lord just caused everything to work together so just remember that in your teams team leaders you don’t have to say everything if you
Have taught people and if you have empowered people you can sit back and present something and allow a discussion to be had and if prayer has taken place and consecration has taken place and there is praise God a consensus and there’s Unity regarding a matter then
You can do just like what God commanded Joshua meditate on my word day and night and then you will make your way prosperous everywhere you go will be blessed praise God so I could depend upon the unity of the team and make a decision praise God because I saw that

A little bit deeper today my frame was not hidden from you when I was made in secret and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth your eyes this is David speaking to the Lord your eyes saw my substance ye being yet unformed and in your book they were all
Written the days fashioned for me when as yet there were none of them wow you have Destiny friends attached to your life you have purpose attached to your life let no one tell you otherwise amen let’s do just a little bit of recap from last week obviously the message
Narrative this series is uh derived from my goal to help you understand what Biblical Destiny is why it’s important why you should walk in it now and today specifically I want to show you that God has uniquely designed each and every one of us as his masterpieces for his good works for his
Good works amen so the definition of Destiny is very simple it’s the customized life calling for which God has equipped and ordained Us in order to bring him the greatest glory for maximum expansion of the Kingdom you got to write that down or take a get your cell
Phone out take a picture of that the customized life calling for which God has equipped and ordained Us in order to bring him the greatest glory and the maximum expansion of his kingdom so every Christian every believer needs to understand their Destiny and that is their primary purpose in life which is
To glorify God and to make him known through the creativeness that he has placed within you to see that happen amen now I must be honest with you as a a a faith teacher praise God when I see someone with an infirmity my prayer goes directly to
Rebuke that infirmity and pray for that person to be made completely whole uh but there are individuals that I have met in my life that I have not seen the manifestation of that yet yet I could not stand here and say that God is not using them and uh causing their Destiny
To be accomplished through them and causing Christ to be known through them even though they are currently experiencing some form of infirmity this week my body was attacked with a 24-hour virus on Tuesday I had a little cough when I came to work by the end of the
Day I was not that great and I went home I went to bed and I didn’t get up till the next day praise the Lord but I was back up on my feet and back to normal about Thursday afternoon and that’s when uh the mass emails started going out to
Everybody and they’re like oh great he’s back to work praise the Lord and uh in the midst of that I was able to effectively continue to minister to people even though I I had a virus in my body and I’ve seen some people that have infirmities that you would think that oh
They don’t have the ability to speak out out of their mouth but yet they are being so mightily used of God in their presence and their ability to communicate the love of God and get his word out by way of giving a Bible or giving a track and they can’t even speak
And so I you know I had to really examine myself because I said Lord you know uh we we need our mouths to speak we you know the Bible says with words the worlds were framed and and such but I’m reminded that we live in a sin
Cursed world and the Bible says that Satan is the the God of this world so we come against him we loose him from his orders against us and we move forward but I want you to know that no matter where you’re at no matter what you’re
Facing because people will say oh I can once I get to the place where Bishop Andre is with with his health with his finances with his status with his education then God can use me to accomplish Destiny well I want to tell you something friend God can use you
Right here and right now and that’s what he desires to do amen hallelujah I heard uh a couple of years ago I heard brother Ron say that it is his dream to become an ordained minister and preach the word of the Lord and I’m going to work with
Him and I’m going to be at his side and I’m going to be pouring into his life and I’m going to personally Mentor him and stir that up but can I tell you something brother Ron you’re doing it right now praise God you have the ability everyone has the ability because
You have something called a Pulpit you know 10 years ago not everybody had a Pulpit but a Pulpit is called Facebook these days praise God because a lot of people praise God will pay pay more attention to the Facebook Pulpit than they will the preachers Pulpit praise
God but you have the ability to share God’s word and to share God’s goodness in such a unique way it’s not a fivepoint sermon that’s delivered here within the church praise God but you can still influence and still walk in purpose praise God and that purpose
Grows deeper and I’m telling you all of that to say I didn’t get to this place when I first started preaching the gospel whe I I didn’t get to this place when I was preaching on the bus and when I got off the bus and started preaching
In the storefront churches and then my pastor at Trinity Assembly had me up I couldn’t go from there to here but there were Destiny steps amen so Destiny is not a destination it is a place where you’re cont continually moving and continually growing so don’t look at infirmities
Don’t look at hindrances don’t say one day I’ll do this or one day I’ll do that say no now I will do what God has called me to do and whatever stage I’m at in my development I will be used of him amen come on somebody give God a shout in the
House Hallelujah you need to understand your destiny and your primary focus in life is is to know him and to make him known praise God you have a place in the body and for further study write this down uh Romans 12: 4-8 great study make sure to go home and
Read over that but I want you to understand that hope and purpose and and joy will permeate our life lives if we choose meaning that we have to use our free will to live in our destiny that’s good can I tell you something if you’re not walking in Destiny right now it’s
Not God’s fault Destiny is knocking at your door someone’s knocking at the door someone’s a ringing the bell who come on don’t make me think that I’m I’m old and the only one that knows it well someone’s knocking at your door somebody’s ringing the bell who

Time for you to walk in it you don’t know what to do share a kind word with someone know him and make him known and yes it gets a lot more complex it does as we begin to walk in our assignment and God begins to elevate
Us and bring us into next steps but it always begins and ends with knowing him and making him known amen amen when you stand in your kitchen you are surrounded by appliances right refrigerators a stove a dishwasher microwave toaster coffee maker all that good stuff now all
Of these appliances are designed by the manufactur for a designated purpose everybody say designated purpose the refrigerator will not heat up your food I’m telling you it’s not going to work maybe in the future they’ll come up with the fridge that does that but right
Now it doesn’t the oven is not going to wash the dishes the toaster cannot make the coffee in the morning that’s not what they were made to do and if all of these appliances fail to accomplish the task that they were designed to accomplish then they all have
Failed if men can do that with machines designed to fulfill a designated purpose then God Can Craft and mold people that will bring him glory that will bring others good that will bring themselves good ultimately to advance the kingdom of God so as as we consider the words of David in Psalm 139
And we’re also going to look over in Ephesians chapter 2 in just a moment we’re going to learn how God is the master designer making each person unique in order that they not just one day touch Destiny but that they live in Destiny and that they fulfilled Destiny
Amen so Point number one I’ve got to move through these quickly this morning God has uniquely designed every life God has uniquely designed every life I am more than grateful to the Lord that there is no one else in this world created like me amen because we’d
Fight the world could only hand handle one CJ Andre the world could only handle one Danielle Andre right and God God blessed me with her if God blessed me with with two of her what what’s that that’s a that’d be a a mess there is only one Bishop Maddie
EPS not replicated can’t can’t duplicate there’s one God created one and to think out of the millions of people that are on this planet each and every individual serves a purpose here on this Earth fearfully and wonderfully made so understand this truth that God has woven you together intricately and uniquely
Say uniquely uniquely a lot of people don’t like that they don’t like being unique for years I did not like being unique I didn’t I wanted to be the the individual that was just like everybody else just like all of the the other preachers and I remember I would go to
Pastoral meetings and I would you know be nicely dressed and everything like that and I looked like everybody else and I dressed like everybody else but there was a uniqueness about me and I quickly found that everybody was always asking my opinion and inserting me into everything and there were so many others
That that wasn’t happening to and I said God I just want to be one of the number I’m tired of being so distinctive I’m tired of being so unique and I remember when I said that to the Lord God God brought me to the words of King David
When he said you are fearfully and wonderfully made I have been uniquely made and uniquely formed by God and I have found this in my life that people either want nothing to do with me or they want everything to do with me and of course I want the whole world to want
Everything to do with me praise God but I don’t get hurt anymore when people don’t want to have anything to do with me amen I am unique you’re unique we are a unique body and God has fashioned us together and I love seeing what he’s building as a result of that
Amen so the purpose of that uniqueness the purpose of that distinctive is is to bring God glory to bless others to receive increase yourself to ultimately expand the kingdom of God so you need to meditate on verses 15 and 16 of the 139th Psalm which we went deeper in this

As yet there were none of them I want you to know you were not thrown together you were not placed together by God halfhazard we know what it’s like to throw something together and people can tell when we’ve put effort into something or when we’ve just thrown something
Together there’s a huge difference and everybody these days everybody can cut through that they say oh yeah they that’s just run-of-the-mill they just threw all that together or say they they put their skill into that and with a group of friends that I have we have
That this expression or we put our foot in that oh okay we put our foot in that and I started that back in you know the early 2000s when we would have these cont contests cooking and people would cook collared greens and you know there is collard greens in a can and then
There’s collard greens that you go and you buy and you wash 10 times to make sure you get every bit of sand off and then you get your ham Hawk praise God and you take your torch to it to make sure you get every hair off of that ham
Hack before it even touches that pot of water that you’re going to cook those greens in and when people ate my greens they knew they weren’t getting canned greens and I could remember the expression that I started oh you really put your foot in that spaghetti sauce
People used to say all the time oh Pastor Andre I I wasn’t Bishop then he they said pastor Andre you really put your foot in them greens Hallelujah I don’t have time to make them anymore I’m very busy in the ministry these days but back in the day
I used to cook praise God Pastor Danielle never did uh she does now once a week and I thank God for that once a week every Tuesday night she cooks a steak for me I thank the Lord uh I thank the Lord for that but she does get food
Delivered uh she has different ways and different people on the side of town that we live in and we get food delivered don’t think we’re going hungry or nothing but she just Cooks once a week she likes to bake I don’t eat the things she bakes very much but those go
To other people praise God so the oven’s always working but not not food cooking stuff baking I didn’t throw them greens together I put my foot in them greens in other words I put my every effort into making sure that those greens were great and I had the intention that if them
Greens touch the mouth of someone who was Catholic they’d run to a Pentecostal church and Shout because they would be that good glory to God I’ll tell you just how good they were our church had a bizaar and I I tell you this was very unsanitary I hope I never
See it but there there were two sisters and the greens never made it out they thought that the greens were for the staff and the volunteers that were working they kept those hidden I happen to show up and I don’t normally show up to items like that and I go into the
Kitchen and they got two bowls a bowl in either hand and they’re picking one up and picking the other up what have you and they’re eating greens with their fingers praise God and I’m thinking how did you get them greens out of that pan here uh-huh don’t do that don’t eat with your
Fingers eat with utensils be sanitary amen amen hallelujah I don’t throw anything together number two this is what I really want to focus in on for the next couple of minutes God has created you as a masterpiece to do great works you are a a masterpiece Ephesians chapter 2 and
Verse 10 says we are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works which were prepared beforehand so that we could walk in them the good works that you’re walking in we’re already prepared for you ahead of time to do the position the stewardship that God has entrusted to me he prepared that
Ahead of time for me and there’s more and there’s expansion in the future because that’s how God is he is a god of increase amen and so you have to begin to see yourself as not just oh I’m I’m I’m just going to do this I’m just going
To vacuum the church I’m just going to come up and pray over the offering I’m just going to do uh something or another for the bishop say no I get to do this and as I’m doing it I’m doing it for the glory of God thank God I have the
Opportunity to walk so that I can vacuum the floors thank God I have the ability to speak so that I can pray over the offering thank God I have the ability to use my hands to serve and bishop’s coner team or or something along those lines those Works were prepared for you ahead
Of time beloved and you’re going to grow and you’re going to see things praise God and expansion’s going to take place in in your life and in your ministry that you didn’t forecast and that you didn’t expect to see happen but it’s going to happen because when God sees
That you have been faithful he will show you that there is even more more works that have been prepared before hand praise God are you thankful for that this morning I’m so happy to be used of God now understand that the word workmanship it literally means Masterpiece and you are his Masterpiece
Put your hand on your heart and say I am I am God’s masterpiece masterp Now quickly the title Masterpiece is reserved for the most glorious example of a certain form of art such as a completed Mosaic a poem a a painting a sculpture a piece of music
And masterpieces are also known as such because of the skill and expertise of the creator and that’s just what David said of the lord your skill your expertise has formed me and not only have you formed me but your skill and your expertise prepared works for me to do before I was
Formed in my mother’s womb and even more that I don’t even see right here right now but I’m not waiting to see something greater I’m going to walk in Destiny now and so if you want to have the opportunity to preach the gospel then
You can go on your Twitter you can go on your Facebook Instagram whatever these things are today Tik Tock and all that preach the gospel let the Lord use you what you have right now and as God blesses you and as you begin to learn more and more and more will be placed
And be given to you as you remain faithful in what you are doing amen so as we consider the fact that God has prepared good works for us the good works that have been prepared are biblically authorized activities that bring God glory and benefits you and other people that’s right remember you
Are the executor of God’s will here on Earth amen and a as you walk in the path of the good works that God has laid out you are walking in and fulfilling Destiny at the same time so you’re walking and fulfilling at the same time God’s masterpiece are set apart
Beloved read later on today second Peter write this down second Peter chapter 1: 2-4 and it will uh help you uh let let me read verse number four very quickly by which he has given us exceeding great and precious promises that through these you may be partakers
Of the divine nature having what escaped say escaped escaped the corruption that is in this world through lust so God continues to shape you and to mold you as his Masterpiece over the course of your entire life but that requires submission to the lordship of
Jesus Christ amen amen and so I want to leave you with this today the church everybody say the church the church works best when all of the masterpieces functioned as they were designed to function I’m not trying to be someone who I’m not created to be
Anymore did I try to be at one time yes I didn’t like being this unique person I didn’t like being this person that was was different and didn’t fit in with the the crowd you know I I would go preach in the Church of God in Christ they’d
Love me i’ go preach in the Assembly of God they’d love me and they they’d get to know my personality and what have you and they say oh that’s not very much like us and I started hanging around the faith people and the faith people they
Ate me up praise God and I I I just found so much love and uh uh uh and embracing from the faith community and I said praise God you know I think I I found my Niche but it wasn’t about finding a niche it was about understanding that God created me unique
And for a purpose I don’t fit into any box and God didn’t create you to fit into any little box are are there parameters yes the Bible the Bible is the standard the Bible is the foundation but how you express your fearfully and wonderfully made and there
Are people that are assigned to your life that are not only going to come alongside and help you but that you’re to reach and those people are going to help Propel you even further and as you go further praise God you’re going to to bring them further as well amen come on
Somebody give the Lord Praise do not waste your time and effort trying to be someone else do not let culture dictate your standards your standard is the word it’s not current culture your standard is the the word and God’s word alone will always set that amen am understand this truth
Every believer has an essential role to play in this life every believer has an essential role to play so I want to pray for you this morning if you’d stand to your feet along with me I’m going to invite the prayer ministers to come forward praise the Lord and

Cooler and then I realize you know I I think it’s this the uniqueness on my life that seems to make me cool among the groups that I think really wouldn’t give me the time of day praise God but the Lord knows so we’re going to embrace our identity in him today remember these
