On February 11, 2024, The University of Georgia’s Interfraternity Council hosted its annual golf tournament supporting UGA Miracle at the University of Georgia Golf Course. All proceeds from the event will go towards Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, the cause UGA Miracle fundraises for.
The golf tournament was planned by Philanthropy Chair Zach Zampi, President Alec Stephens, and the remaining IFC executive team. The tournament was a four-person scramble format, and 23 teams from numerous IFC fraternities, the Greek Life Office staff, UGA Panhellenic, and UGA Miracle competed. The team representing Sigma Alpha Epsilon won the tournament.
With sunny, clear weather the event was a huge success. The total donation raised for UGA Miracle was $10,000.
“I am very proud of the collaborative work between IFC and UGA Miracle at our annual golf tournament,” said Assistant Director of Greek Life and Advisor to IFC Logan Morrison. “It was a great day. The students raised a lot of money for a great cause and enjoyed their time together as a community.”
