Today for a year ago today I was in a hospital uh couldn’t walk couldn’t talk um I never thought I’d walk again yes uh they worked with me you know etc etc but God did me best give God [Applause] praise and so uh after working through the emotion of um having Miss Men’s Day last year because of being in hospital almost a moment I said God you’re a good god and I had to answer myself yes he is yes he is all right let’s uh do this I’m not going
To take up any more of your time I’m so glad to see you uh we’re going to as we normally do we’re going to receive our offering now uh by by way of uh in person as well as this technology and we thank and praise God

Honor and a privilege this morning to introduce the preacher of the hour uh Elder Oscar de PRI Walker Jr uh Elder Walker was born in Lynchburg Virginia to the parents of Oscar and alonia walker uh he soon uh moved to Delaware with the family uh matriculating in the
Woodbridge school district and we moved to Milford and he graduated in 1975 he went on to Delaware State College um now Delaware State University and majored in education with that he he went on a 36- year teaching tour throughout the state amen not only did he teach but he
Coached three Varsity Sports per year football basketball and track leading so many men and to success throughout and some of his students are here right now Elder Walker also coached uh his entire season and see that’s what you get for getting off track but Elder Walker simultaneously he was able to uh join
The United States Air Force and retired there after 20 plus years in the United States Air Force Elder Walker is married to the lovely leanda Walker they share six adult children uh the priest Jamar who has gone home to be with the Lord Taisha Ashley Britney and Phillip and 11 grand
Kids I missed a couple somewhere left and several nieces and nephews who are zooming with us today I’m going call them out cuz we tried to get them inside so called them out they’re working and and doing things others uh is a member of Williams Chapel uh Pentecostal Church
Uh under the Pastoral leadership of uh Reverend Charles Smith Jr Elder Walker is a member of the five beta signal Fraternity Incorporated Delta Gamma Sigma chapter in do Delaware uh ladies and gentlemen uh brothers and sisters uh I’ll introduce to some to present to others after a selection by

And I’ll say that you know God is with us if we just hold on hold on I just keep I I keep talking about holding on because I’m feeling this song hold on change is coming that’s the thing about holding on we’re not holding on without hope yeah
We’re not holding on just to hold on but we’re holding on because we know that we’ve been promised to Victory many of the afflictions of the righteous but they tell me that the Lord Deliver us out of them all can’t beat that can’t beat that amen we’ve been through trials and
Tribulations many trials and tribulations but God is a god that’ll bring it through it all I I was telling Dr host in the back of you know I come from a family of sprinters you know we love moving fast and we love getting things done we want it done amen all
Right we want it done today amen but it’s not always like that we know that the race is given to the not given to the Swift nor the strong but the one who what endures through the end so sometimes amen through those disappointments and and all those things
We’ve been through we have to wait we have to wait until our change comes amen we have to hold on cuz change is coming though Saints change is coming I love that amen hey man one this song I Really Love is said yesterday a man said to me said Oscar

Allen men’s day I’ll tell you what I Echo Dr holtz’s uh uh words when I said I looked out when I came out and saw this this burgundy and gray and I was like Wow who is this I said I said are these all men of this of this church he
Said and he proud say yes they’re all yeah he said yeah he said they’re all there I said okay it it’s just wonderful how good it is to see men amen and how good it is just to be with John Wesley I love John West I’m I’m going
Tell you right now this is this is like a second home to me my the first church I ever chose myself you know when we were children we got drugged a different places we had to go we had to go to the church that you know Mama made us go
Amen but this was the first church not this one but Reverend tall’s Church the founder of the church was the first church that I ever went to on my own and and when he founded this and I I see mother talk back there when he founded this that church and this church rather
Had an opportunity to worship with him and then under Pastor Benson Lord have mercy Lord have mercy you talking about love when when you walk through the door you used to feel just love just just all over the love of Christ was all over all in the place so I just enjoyed being
Here and and I as I came with the church that I came with I just came and just acted a fool in here but I just had a good time enjoying the Lord and sometime my sister and them would say y y’all kind of loud or you know you kind of
This but that’s just me amen amen and well jayen can tell you I was his coach in in basketball years I’m a loud I was a loud coach so I’m a loud man of God Amen and that’s the way I I see it you
Know I want it to be heard well sons of valy when you emphasize this topic of great you know you could have emphasized the topic of Grace or this that or the other all these different Prosperity all those different topics would be good but your topic was Leading Men to Christ yes
You know and this is an important very important topic so and and and I decided to to go just with what the men of Allen had all right the first scripture John 1:41 42 in the NIV says the first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him
We have found the Messiah that is the Christ and he brought him to Jesus that’s the thing amen that is most important these are the first disciples that they’re talking about here so when you look at John you’re talking about in the beginning was the word and the Word
Was God and the Word was with God then you talk about John out John the Baptist out there you know just spreading the word amen saying that the that the Messiah is coming and then you come to the point where John actually baptizes Jesus and he sees the
The the H he sees the doves light upon him the Holy Spirit light upon him and and then he says all right that’s the lamb right there guys that’s the one now what we’re talking about here is the first disciples yes you know the first ones that we see
Amen is coming from this place and from this day so again that scripture says the first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him we have found the Messiah the Christ and he brought him to Jesus so that scripture just had me thinking what would be the text what
Should I talk about and it all came it was real simple go find your brother go find your brother go find your brother see I I was brought up in if you read my bio or if you listen to the bio I was always brought up in Brotherhood from the military you know
You got to take care of your brother the one that’s next to you to to sports man it was like man you got to get your brother’s back you got my back yeah I got your back amen from from all the things from The Eternity you know this
Is my brother I’ve got his back it’s about Brotherhood about having your back well the first thing that Andrew did when he found this gold this Christ this savior this deliver deliverer first thing he had to do he to find his brother go find my brother and as I
Prayed and studied you know I just could hear God just saying go find your brother now I know y’all know my my uh blood brother is sitting here that gave me that such a fine uh word there amen but you know Brotherhood is more than just blood there’s a brother that’s closer
There’s a man that’s closer than a brother huh there there there are people that that all through your the rest of your life will be with you the rest of your life so God says go find your brother now it seems that we’re living in a time
Of the great falling away I’m going to slow down a little bit because I want to get excited amen because that’s what I do normally when I come to this church amen cuz we come to praise the Lord when you were doing your jayen when you were
Doing your Litany of different uh the different old gospel song like I I was wondering what you do I don’t know what you come to do but I come to praise the Lord you you had all the other ones in there amen so you were putting them in
There so I I I I know I I have to take my time and let you let you understand what’s going on it seems that in the church today there’s a great falling away I again I told Dr Hol that as I travel from DC to North Carolina back and forth
I find churches are not full like they used to be as a m as a matter of fact there there there waning and and and enrollment and and as you go to different churches pastors are trying to figure out how they can bring enrollment together they’re they’re coming up with
All these different strategies and and they’re coming up with all types of of ways that can bring people into the church church and again part of this Leading Men to Christ I know that that is the the the idea of having all these the service right now we want to bring
Men and women to Christ listen God is real heaven is real guess what hell is real now how would you let those loved ones in your life just go and die without you even saying anything about it it’s like stealing getting a mill not stealing excuse me getting a million
Dollars and then I’m not telling Gus and Teresa that I got any of them huh what kind of brother would that be huh it’s it’s it’s it’s like when you have all that you need all right you have the way maker amen all of a sudden
You’re going to keep it to yourself but God doesn’t want us to do that now to be God certain now with all these strategies God has away and he has an answer and it’s not complex guys you know he is a God has a way of doing things simply yeah we want
All these different things Raffles I had I’ve seen preachers in North Carolina they give a they have a raffle if you bring somebody in you know you give them a little something and I mean it’s it’s it’s not against the law or anything like that it’s it’s if you
Bring somebody in they get a ticket and with that ticket they can uh go to the store maybe it might be worth uh $50 they might get a $50 discount somewhere if they if they coming to church you know those kind of things I’m not saying anything’s wrong with that you know I’m
Not saying but I’m saying there’s a simpler way it’s the way God said do it yeah go and tell your brother go find your brother you got to do like Andrew if you find something good you want to give it to your brother you want them to see
It he wants you to show the your brother what you found what the Holiness that’s within you the likeness within you the goodness that’s within you the peace that you found since you found Jesus the joy that you found since you found Jesus the way maker that you met amen that we
Sing that song that song the last one you were singing about you know heartaches and all these things but we also know that God brought them through it you can go tell people listen God has brought me through things you if you’re a saint of God if you’ve touched and
Tasted and seen the goodness of the Lord you got a story to tell I know that you’ve been through I know that you look for ways to get out and I know that trials and tribulations have come your way but if you’ve held out and if you hold on I know there’s a
Lot of Deliverance in your life when I think back over my life and look things over you know what I can truly say that I got a testimony testimony I got a testimony I was sick and seemed like I couldn’t get well amen but God healed
Me how many of you had finances that that look real funny look real bad but God made a way how many of you thought that it was all over some situation was all over but God brought it back up from the dead I had Dr hul talk about he thought
That life in his legs were dad he wasn’t going to walk anymore my God thought it was all over oh but God hallelujah oh my God amen amen so he has a story to tell amen he has he has something to praise God for yes but you
Don’t just praise it right here in this house now we get our praise going right we enjoy it we get lifted up amen but look at all those dying folks out there in this world I I I also applaud John Wesley because y’all take care of the homeless and and
Those people that are around that are going through I I don’t see a lot of people I’m so grieved in my life that I walk up and down these streets or drive up and down these streets and see people begging and and ask them for money and
Then it’s got to a point I’ve lived so long now that I see people that I know begging and on the corners and then I’m like what is going on man i’ I’ve seen people with college degrees I know they got college degrees I help them get their college degrees
Amen and seen what see how the devil has come through yes you can’t keep this in here you can’t keep the power that God has invested in you in here you got to go find your brother tell him of his goodness listen the preacher is the shepherd yes they tell me sheep

God Made A Way from me he made way for me when I didn’t think I could do it tell your brother about Jesus that gave you that peace that passes all understanding when your mama died or your brother died maybe your child died but even in the

They’re looking at you a different way but God wants us to he wants us to let people know cuz in order to get our brothers we got to let the people that’s surround us know who we serve Who’s Who We Are Who blessed us who made us
Prosperous who made us the head not the tail we got to let people know who we are you can’t hide it now you don’t want to do that if you if you struck gold unless you just want to keep it all to yourself you don’t keep it to you you
Don’t you let people know there’s go up in them their Hills they used to say in the in the and the cowboy movies but morning by morning new mercies we see he provided you with all kinds of blessings so it should be a small thing amen for the
Blessings in our for us to talk about the blessings in our life when we think of that goodness of Jesus really we should be in a a mode to just shout and glorify him when we just think about it a wonderful example of that and I’ll

The glory and then they said well well well okay well yeah but what kind of strategies would you I just trusted in the Lord and he he walk me through I just trusted in I begin to listen to that young man that boy about 20 22
Years old right and he was running it like that and and the announcers got tired up they said we want to we want to talk about football all you want to talk about is your god and and they didn’t say that but they they Tred all kind of
Man but he kept saying but I just thank the Lord Jesus for all that he’s done for me and all of his goodness and all of his grace and then when when stuff got tough in that one game they even showed his mother over there she was
Praying she would they went to a see praying amen because because of this young man I guarantee you somebody got saved I guarantee you there’s somebody on his team that’s that’s coming to him and say can you got a prayer meeting that we can go to I guarantee you he probably is
Saying listen man why don’t you go with me to this this preacher here this is my preacher in Houston man he’s a great man of God he probably is doing that I I guarantee it and there’s some young man man that’s looking down some little young athlete that’s saying you know
What I don’t have to be extra cool like that to to be a star I don’t have to be drinking and smoking to be a star I don’t have to be wrong to be a star why this man showed his life right in front of the world and that’s what God wants

Know Nate P I was I was out I tell you what happened to me here’s my testimony I was at a nightclub hanging out hanging out in the nightclub and and then I was outside of the nightclub drinking outside the nightclub and a car pulled up with my friends Nate pal and Tommy
Douglas right now Nate Pal’s Minister power and brother Douglas is Bishop Thomas Douglas and he just got a church and and and he has a uh has a uh Community cator centor down in in Florida that he just built they came up to me and they came to find a brother yeah
My God they came up to me now this is like got to be 1:00 I’m 21 years old probably was drunk then to be honest by that time yeah I was I had to be by that time yeah I was probably drunk by then all sitting out there at at the club and
These guys pull up at 1:00 in the parking lot and they said listen we got saved they said we got saved talk about in the parking lot and and listen God has done great things for us and we’ve seen Miracles and we’ve seen signs and
Wonders and you know what man you got to change and I don’t remember all that he told told me or that those Brothers told me but all I remember is that night I think I stayed at my sister’s house amen cuz that was in Milford I didn’t live
There anymore and I was drunk as I don’t know what but I that’s why I stayed at her house but that next Sunday I was in church on the way listen they didn’t stop there with just just testifying there they got me in their car now the reason why I went with these
People the car is now Tommy Douglas he was around and he was a he’s a Hall of Famer at D State played pro football yeah uh Nate was my running buddy me and and and brother Gus there we they were all right I’m tell you don’t tell it all you already
Confessed it there you’re cing over but he he he was while running by Tommy Douglas wasn’t so much a running Budd but they both been saved at the same time and he decided Amen to come and find his brother and being my running buddy and he probably been drinking with
Me the week before or maybe two weeks and no more much more than that he knew where to find me so he came and he found his brother he listen it didn’t take my I don’t know the words I don’t know see God’s not going to ask you to come up
With a whole bunch of great words you know I know you thinking you got to say you know uh something great something spiritual something something just you know right out of the book you know what I mean but no whatever it was they just talked about they were saved
They were filled with the Holy Ghost and power that they seen miracles signs and wonders amen I want you to come to church with us cuz you know everybody going to die sometime do you want to go to hell that just that simple nothing great and they drove me over to
Baltimore and God has blessed me ever since that’s been many years ago honestly I I said I wasn’t going to tell nobody that’s been 45 years ago I was 21 I was 21 years old I just got my college degree and I was just thinking man I’m going to get
My party on now I got a check coming huh I’m really going to be smooth now I’m going to have a check coming and man I’m going to be something but God had another plan Somebody Minister Nate pow Bishop Tommy Douglas they want that then said I’mma go find my brother even if I have to go in the parking lot of the club even when he’s sitting there with a drink in his hand J I’m going to go find my brother tell
Him about the goodness of Jesus and all he’s done for me amen I’m going to let him know about it I’m going to tell him amen and they and because of that another brother from milre came another one and then another one five of us came cuz you know after you found one

Marvin and Marvin told Jimmy you know it just kept going on and on five all five of us are still in the ministry today those hundreds and hundreds hundreds I know it’s hundreds of people have been saved amen because oh Nate power and Tommy D thought it not robbery to go find their
Brother just that’s all God wants you to do that’s all he wants you to do a simple message from a simple man amen and this is the simple way Amen to bring people to Christ amen that’s all you got to do I’m so thankful today that my friends and colleagues thought enough of

What change might happen in this world if you just go out there and go find your brother now if you don’t know Jesus in the pardoning of your sins if you don’t know that I I’m sure if if you don’t know Jesus and the pardoning of his sins listen the altar
