This week, members from Kappa Sigma, Phi Delta Theta, Pi Kappa Alpha, Sigma Nu, and Tau Epsilon Phi participated in the Greek Park Cleanup. More than 70 Greek students came together to clean up the outdoor spaces surrounding the chapter facilities. Each of the participating chapters have homes within Greek Park.
Dean of Students Eric Atkinson joined the Greek community at the event and worked with chapter members and advisors during the cleanup. Coordinator of Greek Housing Preston Kell was also in attendance and worked with students to plan the day.
“The Greek Park Cleanup was a great success and I was very excited to see the great turnout from all of the participating chapters,” said Kell. “The area looks great now, and I want to say thanks to everyone who participated!”
The Greek Park Cleanup took place on January 19th at 4:00 and was a drop-in, which allowed numerous members from all five chapters to participate. The event was an overall success and the community will be able to enjoy the refreshed spaces as spring begins.
