Arisha I mean the the urah tradition is the 10th largest religion in the world and it is all over I mean black white green Asian doesn’t matter where you’re from they are practitioners of all walks of life and and I thought today we could talk a little bit
About the Arisha tradition as it exists here in the new world traditionally it’s called ises lagba and here in the new world we call it Lumi and Santa right Santa was the first term and then in the community they’re working towards moving away from that term term because it’s no longer
Relevant historically in a lot of ways and so Lomi is a term that that uh people are using which also means friend right so I’m not going to spend a lot of time breaking up breaking down a lot of the contractions of what some of these words mean because that’s really for a

Tradition so we’re going to break that down because on this side I think that a lot of times we think that these are all these different things you know know I’ve heard people say oh are you EA I’m like do you mean do I practice EA or um are you
Arisha do you mean do I practice Arisha tradition right so we want to start to really understand a little bit more about what we’re saying so that it can become more real to us it can become more relevant to us that we can adopt and bring it into our lives in a way
That is understandable because a lot of times traditional practices as we very well know indigenous practices have become demonized in some respects whether it be in South America in Central America in Africa in different places where traditional practices are uh adopted people who practice earth-based Traditions people who deal with
Nature dealing with animals and so on and so forth very often times because it does not fit in a box and not easily palatable by some it can be thought of that oh this is wrong well who made that decision all right the Sun is here for
All of us to enjoy the Moon is here for all of us to enjoy the rivers are here for all of us to enjoy so it’s about the lens that we choose to look at our practice and what is Our intention in our practice that is going to make it

They’re going to make sure that you have money stability Health goodness love family they’re going to take care of you this is what we believe so this is a good thing for you to take in those of you who are actually seriously interested in these faiths that these are a
