Who are going to the temple are being diverted their thoughts and their hearts are being pulled away from their initial desire to come and worship God they are walking by buyers and sellers manipulators people who are reaching out to make more money and Jesus is saying stop you are being an
Obstacle to God’s grace you are being an obstacle to these people’s hearts and desires and that’s what makes me angry because Jesus would probably reach out to money changers and buyers and sellers people who are even cheating people he wouldn’t turn away he would say change your life do something
Better I will forgive you but not if you bring other people away from God’s love and grace so think of that during this time of Lent sometimes we might say well I’m I’m going to mass every Sunday that’s the law that’s the rule I’m not eating meat on those days good I’m doing
Fine but if we’re not aware of people around us it’s not that we’re doing bad it’s just that we’re not doing enough and that’s what lent is all about Reach Out expand your horizons don’t be afraid to be aware don’t be afraid to respond and just like in the second reading people from
Different cultures people even from our own culture but with different ideas and approaches may think we are foolish but we’re not and we might be able to change their attitudes by how we reach out to others so let’s do it let’s be who we are and we will feel God’s grace
