Really here to see um set the stage for you guys I’m here in Greensboro North Carolina it’s a beautiful day outside happy women’s History Month happy women’s empower I think it is as well and also um you know black history month is technically over but it’s 366 days this year so it
Is what it is um so appreciate everybody for hopping on uh in this midday I know it’s kind of been crazy with uh with meta Facebook and Instagram going down people kind of been going crazy the Twitter folks you know we just got or X I guess we just kind of been rolling
With the punches so um with all of that said it’s March 5th that means March Madness is officially upon us um you know NCAA tournament will be popping off a little bit later this week I’m sorry a little later this month uh but also HBCU basketball is included in that we got
The Mak and the swag conferences they’ll be popping off on their tournaments uh just next week so big shout out to them over in Northfolk and Birmingham and this week we’ve got the SI basketball tournament going on right now you’ll see my guy Ty Carr uh in the HBCU game day Studios at
Halftime some of those games uh with our partnership with the siic so really happy and really proud about that partnership and uh you know but beyond that we already had the tip off we already had the jump off for March Madness and that is the one and only
CIAA basketball tournament uh and I appreciate everybody who’s in right now if you could please like the stream and uh drop a comment if you went to the CIAA this year or not or just whatever school you’re rooting for for in March Madness this year um but without any
Further Ado I’m going to bring on my guest he is uh who really needs no introduction but I’ll do it anyway now I can’t list all his jobs if I do that’ll take up all the time that we have today uh but this man is a actor he is a
Comedian he is a world-renowned radio host PA announcer anytime basically you got something going on live and you want people to be excited about it and you want them to be engaged this is the man that you call um I’m proud to have known him for for quite a while now going back
To our days at wssu at Winston Salem State University and so uh man it’s been great to watch his career um you know from the the sidelines and everything like that and so I’m great grateful to have the one the only Bott on with us today bot
What’s going on what’s Happ with you man how you feeling sjg I’m good man I’m good you know uh just uh you know kind of coming off that uh you know post tournament that post tournament uh situation uh but it was it was good it was it was a beautiful couple days um
And I’m excited about it how you feeling today man I’m good man you know just getting over some recouping like you from the CIAA I appreciate the introduction um we’ve known each other 20 plus years now my boy 20 plus years now yeah man you know these these grades
Are starting to pop you know here and there so you know I’m glad I don’t age baby you know what saying like I still in that no man but I had a great time at the CIAA it was my first time going in Baltimore um I’m I’m from the era where
I remember CIAA and Raleigh you know what I mean like I remember CIAA and Winston Salem you dig what I’m saying like I remember just having great times in those spaces so to travel up to Baltimore was fun um I’m sure we’re gonna get into a lot of that but it was
Definitely disappointing how we you know set up the set up this season well set up the CIAA tournament from a w ussu experience definitely wish we could have had more fun there but I was just blessed this year to do something that I wanted to do for years which is um do
The PA announcing for the CIAA tournament they booked me to do the semis game um one the men’s game on when Lincoln played um uh I can’t remember who they played Friday who they play Friday night Clon absolutely Lincoln and Clon Friday night then of course the championship lot of
Orange huh a lot of orange yeah a lot of orange there like I’m telling you man I was really getting a little confused with just two teams that I was I was not com uh uh very very comfortable with I was not very knowledgeable of uh Claflin
Or Lincoln um so then to go to the championship game and do the of course the Lincoln and the um Flor fville State game that was fun man it was just good energy him you about caught him the other F I did man I get my fsus mixed up
I because on Twitter right now it’s a whole another day because of course in AAC world is senior day of Carolina so my brain you you said like when you talk about how many jobs I have I have to remember how many jobs I have so when
I’m in different spaces I have to remember certain things I can say can’t say so I just try to stay consistent with what I am and just hope that everybody can gravitate towards that n man it was um it was great to be there and you know obviously I’ve heard you do
PA a thousand time it seems like thousand times man um but you know it was great to see you there in that element uh I know um you know for I know was the first time you had done that but obviously you know you’ve been doing this got you starting PA announcing at
Winston Salem State correct um a lot of cold nights in the in the NX in the Coliseum oh absolutely like my very first time was in the um Press Box at Winston Salem State for football uh the chancellor that time you remember Harold Martin you know what I’m saying like he
Was like yo like I need you to bring some energy to the games you the same energy you have on stage at these events you think you could do that in the Press Box I was like I believe so let me try and I went out there and I remember John
Dale wrote the worst article ever about me at the end of the game because the uh they were mad because I wasn’t giving any energy to the other team and giving us all the love I was learning I was learning but I appreciate those opportunities man for
Real yeah yeah um I think that was uh Kaba I think the president said he would never they would never play us against as long as you with a PA announcer um they have played this a couple times since then and you know uh
You know it it you know I don’t know if it’s the same guy there or not but uh but anyway you know everybody has to start somewhere I remember you know one of my first articles I wrote about you if I went if I went back and read that today I
Would probably be disgusted but you know everybody’s got to start somewhere are you the article was about me I thought it was great man one of one of the first ones that I wrote in the news Argus was about you like I think of one of the first like my

Man it would be great you know and shout out to uh Mr Al Roseboro who’s for a long time known as the voice of the CIAA um he’s no longer doing PA announcing but I always felt like it would be great to have you and your energy
There I know uh you started doing the CIAA football championship a couple years ago and I it’s just you bring a different energy to um that situation um just talk about uh you know again just just you know growing that relationship with the CIAA being a product of a CIAA
School n um to your point like I appreciate you giving so many kind words because there were some people that just weren’t really fancing my delivery uh at the CIAA tournament you know I got word that you know someone who I I won’t drop names because I don’t want to be messy I
Don’t want to come Cat Williams your space you did we need do Cat Williams numbers go ahead man Dr that turn turn HBCU game day to Club sh to do that but it was disappointing that you know somebody who I I look up to someone who
I consider a mentor um to really just be negative in the idea of me being the PA announcer for the CIAA tournament um suggested that I had another role and was very inquisitive on why I got the position that I got and I was just very thankful that the people that are in
Charge the people that make the decisions vouch for me and just I pleased them and there were enough people there that were that were um inviting of my um PA announcing because it isn’t the normal monotone um delivery that many are used to like I do have a
More engaging um approach I do have a more because it is my understanding that yes you have fans of both teams that are in the Championships but a lot of those fans there are people whose teams are already gone and they would like to have
A good time as well so it’s my job to make sure one that whatever’s going on on the floor the people that are around they know what’s going on if you happen to look down at your phone and you hear the crowd make a loud noise and you look
Up and you want to know what happened my job was to say it was a block on the play it was last ball touched by Lincoln um a three-point shot by Stephen G these are my jobs right and also my job is to make sure that the energy in the
Building is up to par so that these guys can play on a level that is hot tier like people don’t understand the energy that the crowd gives to the players when the crowd is dead when the crowd is Solemn and is sitting the the team just plays light and flaccid but when you
Give them an opportunity where it’s big energy the crowd is engaged then the just it’s just in its entirety the experience is better and I’m just about an engagement Maverick I’m about um the entirety of the uh the participants and and the consumers enjoying themselves just as much as the combatives on the
Floor no doubt and no I’m glad you said that because um yeah I really I really appreciate that about you for sure um you know you talk about that I do have I do have a clip uh I do have a little clip that I got of you um on
Friday and hopefully this is the the one that I have is uh is the one that I’m thinking of um because it kind of encapsulates that um you know engaging everybody if your team still has a chance win a championship in Thea tournament let me hear you make some [Applause] Noise if your school did not handle business and they are already back taking classes let me know you make some noise you know what you trying it right now you trying it right now V I’m a b yeah man that just my personality man that’s me enjoying myself like and

Like just in my bones I’m an Entertainer so wherever I get a microphone and I have to entertain the people I’m going to do it on that type of level within the profession of that that I am if it’s standup comedy if there’s a different um compartmentalized space if it’s PA
Announcing if it’s arena hosting like so I just wear a lot of hats yeah no doubt about it and um you know for that to that end man uh you know you got a chance to look at see see some of the basketball um what were your impressions
Of uh of the basketball at the tournament it wasn’t it wasn’t sexiest um it wasn’t a lot of you know a lot of offense uh in some of the games um shout out to the fav State women though I think a Nyla Bryant uh the MVP uh she
Had a hell of a game on H Friday she had 31 uh and she went 11 for 11 from the field and six for six from three um shout out to her but was your thoughts on the basketball I mean obvious what you say I just said she was
Cooking like good God I a even catch that stat 11 for 11 6 for six from 3 31 she went eight yeah yeah she missed she missed two free throws I guess to let us know she’s still human right you know other than that other than that she was on
Fire but you know what were your impressions of of the of the basketball there um in the arena in Baltimore what were your what were your impressions that of that um first I want to say big shout to zo in the comments like I just love reading these and
Just I appreciate the uh comparisons to Jim Ross and steuart Scott like steuart Scott is one of my Idols like big Mentor that I never got to meet but to your point the basketball was cool man like um these teams know each other so well
You know what I mean we play each other all the time like this was if if Winston s state would have played Virginia Union again this year like I think I would have jumped off a bridge like we just play each other so much so we know each
Other we know each other’s weaknesses we know the scouting reports so it’s real difficult for guys to really get off and have 30o games and because we know who’s the guy that can give you 30 points you dig what I’m saying uh to that point though like I enjoy seeing guys I enjoy
Uh the point guard at Lincoln that really really looks just like Rob cologne to the point where you call him Rob clone like I need I need people to go to HBCU G day’s page or SG sj’s page and go and see what this guy he looks
Just like Ro and he’s going to be back next year you know and just seeing these guys and seeing a lot of them with sophomores and juniors and and knowing that next year the the ciaaa is in good hands like we’re gonna have some good good bump next year and with guys like
You know Austin leaving and what’s gonna happen at wssu like I’m very interested in next season already but as it pertains to this tournament um I would have like to see more scoring you know I really would have um Fab came to the game um and and and it was very
Disappointing for him to leave the game um at the at a timeout when it was tied up like it’s 5252 it’s tied up ball game and Fa like all right I’m G dip like how do you dip in a tied up ball game PB
This is lit let’s go but you know it was cool nobody fail you know nobody got dunked on you know you want to see those types of things so you can talk some junk but overall it was some decent bump and I and I just want to say big shout
To Lincoln man because one their first championship I say ever but they say since 19 1948 so since 1948 it was it was their first it was their first tournament Championship ever yeah so that was that was that’s I know they gave you that not at the end but yeah so
To that it was their first one somebody like and The Fan Fair there was like amazing like so much orange like and I and I just and to I appreciate them for beating fville State because if fville state would have won that Championship their boys and their girls
And the way they’ve been owning Us in football like I I never see a Lincoln alone I always see Broncos I do not want to have I was on a flight with Broncos and they were so quiet and I was so thankful well you know that’s uh that
Yeah shout out to uh I got Freddy young Jr that’s uh that’s him Freddy young Jr he is a dog like I love that guy I love like I like I don’t know like in in the championship he just wasn’t really just as as effective Ive as he was in the
Semi so coach made the decision to you know give the other guards more burned which was a smart decision because Freddy young was a little off but Freddy young junor is a dog and big shout out to their coach man like their coach like he’s he’s he’s he’s a very um
Charismatic dude but he has a lot of Personality on the court you know what I’m saying like he he gets excited he gets the crowd in involved tells the fans like I really enjoyed watching him from that um press uh from press Ro too yeah no doubt about it so uh Lincoln
University for the men faille State University for the women are the champ I got a chance to look at uh look at the regional standings because they do things a little bit different in division two uh so actually Lincoln’s gonna be a number eight seed they’re
Going to be the bottom seat um they got 13 losses uh 17 to 13 they’re gonna be the bottom seat they’re gonna be number eight but the team that’s slated to be number one is a school called Ganon who they’ve already played and G Canon beat them by four on the
Road so you know and last year when [ __ ] state was at bottom SE they were number eight and they gave the number one team in the country in their division a race as well so CIAA will definitely be uh the ca will definitely be looking to pull off that Underdog rooll again
Uh this year I was direct quote post that and S that is a fact you they said that so they not just their clothes were blue their emotions were blue like they were just blue they were a blue fan base just walking over the plane and I enjoyed
It well you know they’re only they’re only quiet when they I mean they only loud when they see red I mean the attendant the attendant of their games speak to that um anyway um again guys we’re talking with B here um coming off the CIAA tournament so um
Beyond that we’ll get to off the court um you know I know I think you were involved with some parties there and things like um just talk about uh the vibe off the court in Baltimore obviously you’ve you’ve done Riley you’ve done Charlotte um what has that been like what was that
Like for you and how did you feel about the just the Vibes overall um Beyond outside of the Arena um I think for the outside of the Arena Vibe Charlotte is like probably top tier I think I like Raleigh too though Raley was a very good time we had
A good time in Raleigh but Charlotte just sort of stole it because there’s just so many different options downtown especially when the epicenter or Uptown especially when the epicenter was jumping but it was very very fan engaged in the streets of Baltimore like you saw
A bunch what I was disappointed in is I didn’t see as much buoy fanship as I thought I should have seen seeing that we were in their neck of the woods I saw more uh Morgan State Howard Howard was definitely repping and I saw this because I was hosting the FanFest at
Food Lion and at the FanFest at fol lion you seeing everybody they’re coming through because they’re going to the step show they’re going to the uh cheerleading exhibition so you’re just seeing all these different uh uh um alumni and you know the fraternity sororities it’s just lit it’s thousands
And thousands of people walking through here so there I got a good a better gauge of what was there that hadn’t gone to the arena as it pertains to the club scene I didn’t get to do much of that I did have one party on Friday night and
It was lightly attended to say the least and to that point I just want to go to a totally different um conversation here real quickly sjg and it is the promotion of parties I don’t know if it’s a problem at other HBCU I would really
Like to know if there are any other HBCU on the chat that could chime me in or when you’re watching this later if you could just uh comment or just send me a message at Winston Salem State we have a real serious problem with the word Young
Y u n g young as it pertains to promoting for alumni events what I mean is when you put on a flyer young alumni there’s an immediate line drawn and nobody knows where to go like when I ask you sjg when you think of young alumni what age group do you think
Of oh man uh I’m thinking younger than me um I’m think I’m thinking you know I think it’s definitely under 40 probably under probably five and probably closer to 30 so yeah it’s you know that can go a lot of ways you know I’m 100% with you
I think that immediately you think 25 to 35 younger alumni now I’m I’m I’m low 40s but I don’t I don’t view myself older alumni so what the heck does that put us at so like when I’m hosting a party like I I think we should like
First of all I don’t think we should put young Alum Young on the party just have alumni and you base your experience on like if you see a party that’s being hosted by Bott and the DJ is diesel you know what kind of vibe you’re gonna get
If you see that the DJ is DJ cleave you know what kind of vibe you’re going to get if you see that the DJ is DJ s you know what kind of vibe you’re going to get if the DJ is King the DJ King J the
DJ I’m sorry you know what kind of vibe you’re gonna get like so I think that when you think when when you we’re all alumni and I think trying to break it up into tears of young and older like there are 45 year olds that can and do party
With 35 year olds but a 45 year old wouldn’t look at themselves as a young alumni because they’re thinking that that’s 35 years so they’re like I’m not going to go to that party you dig what I’m saying I think uh yeah folks in the comments for sure let us know what you
Think when you see Al Young alumni there um you know it is a it is a thing I guess you know sometimes I I guess you know you there maybe there’s a fear I guess some people have a not necessarily a fear but like you know you get a crowd
That wants to see what’s the what’s the young guy’s name that you introduced does the left I when you him I didn’t know his name then I heard him singing the song I was like okay yeah I don’t even know his name 31 baby so do it yeah yeah and the kids love

About it he’s probably my age and then there was some kid there was some young man that uh he didn’t know who fabulous was who raised you but anyway no but no but you know he didn’t know who he didn’t know who fabulous was and he was we know some songs which
I it’s fair but uh then also you know uh when when you said three when you said Mr baby uh yeah he he was like yo I’m on it so you know it’s uh it’s one of those things where I think for sure I think maybe people don’t give people enough to
Kind of read the room but like there were people there were people in my age group that didn’t come to my party because it said Young alumna You Dig what I’m saying like and I’m like that’s silly like I’m hosting like I appreciate what Ally mcdal with it just said over
There I actually look at the flyer like there’s a reason why we have those you look at those and you say hey that tells me a lot you know what I’m saying like oh this DJ I know their Vibe this host I know his vibe I’m G to go here you dig
Versus the young alumni turn because you know like even when we win the CIAA Championship next year and we’re all staying at the Renaissance Hotel and we have that big party like we tried to do this year like it was a nice space but it wasn’t enough of that there because
Our team lost on Tuesday at 10 o’clock and they were back in class on Wednesday but next year when we win it all the Renaissance gonna be lit you dig what I’m saying and it’s not gonna be a young alumni party an older alumni party it’s GNA be an alumni party with different
Time slots where cleave gonna be DJing and then where Trails gonna be DJing and we gonna tea up in that joint that’s me speaking from your lip hey you know from your lips to guys’s ears you know I thought it was gonna happen again this year oh my God
I’m not gonna lie let’s just get let’s just get to it let’s just get to it we gota talk about it um you know wssu uh first off shout out to coach CLE um for really putting for really bringing wssu back to where it belongs
Um they won they were 19 and N this year best record in the CIAA um over the last three years that I just calculated they are 59 and 25 um great winning percentage any school would love to have that and you know they’ve been able to
Be on uh this year just just there long they’ve been on first take they’ve been on God what was it the CP3 they also did obviously the NBA All-Star Game um and I mean I to be honest with you they get more pub than a lot of D1 schools I mean
A lot of D1 players aren’t get to do all of that um but tough loss uh they came into the they came into the uh to Baltimore on five game winning streak you know you saw them smack Livingstone around smack Shaw around you know smack Virginia
Union around a couple weeks ago I I think Virginia Jun was very excited they didn’t have to play them um they were very I think I don’t think any don’t know it was cheer harder for uh for Bluefield State than Virginia Union um but uh you know yeah and then
Uh they get they get the third seat in the South because somebody decided somebody decided that we were since now we have 13 teams we’re gonna go in uneven divisions we’re going to go by divisions instead of your best over and here you go anyway they lose the game to Bluefield
State um I I know I was there I know I had my reaction what what what was your reaction um my daughter’s home from school because of course I hope everybody’s voting today is early voting day so well not early voting day today is voting day is March 5th voting day
Not early voting voting day so I hope everybody’s doing their due diligence and getting their voting on the kids are home from school here in mecklinburg uh County in Charlotte but um I was disgusted like and to your point big shout to Cleo Hill I think he put out
The post that this is the best thing the wssu has done in like a decade I agree 100% if you didn’t say that you should have said that if you did say that I agree with that um but the boys were just riding too high they had the nice
Fancy uh NBA suits on the all white like they was feeling real Godly they had the names on the back that came in the gym I saw them at Livingstone walk into the gym just walk in like we why are y’all not all dropping rolls pedals do y’all not did
Y’all not just see us on television mop up V Union in front of the whole world that’s how that’s the arrogance and I ain’t gonna hold you I liked it but I liked it because when they got out on the floor at Livingstone they played like that they whooped them boys by
20 I thought that was the arrogance and confidence that was going into the CIAA tournament now you give him a 10: a.m. tip that’s horrible horrible I don’t know who’s in charge of scheduling and it’s not an excuse because Bluefield had to play at 10 A.M too so I’m not saying
That but you do not give the defending champs a 10 a tip it’s disrespectful you don’t do that but they had to be there when they get there they did not think Bluefield was Bluefield has won eight games this season Bluefield just came back to the
Dag on CIAA Bluefield is 80% a white HBCU we are not worried about Bluefield they don’t even have a b they don’t even have cheerleaders we are not worried about Bluefield we just got to come out here and put our shorts on and we gon
This is a w and that’s how they went out there and you know as well as I know as well as anybody knows and as well as they definitely now know that’s not how the basketball Gods work baby you go out there and you second guest teams and you play less
Down or you play down to their caliber and they have a white Bo on the team that is Scorch you and bust your face up Bluefield had three players to foul out and still beat us in overtime that is insane that is insane that is insane and I was so
Confident I was just as confident as they were I was so confident we was gonna be Bluefield state that I didn’t even watch the game I didn’t even watch it I didn’t got I got a text message from my brother slim that said did you see us just lose by one point in
Overtime to Bluefield I thought it was cap I went straight to your Instagram I mean straight to your Twitter straight to the HBCU game day Twitter immediately I said down goes wi oh my god I didn’t even want to go to ca no more and I had to work I almost send the
People their money back but I didn’t do it I’m joking please know that I’m joking okay but I was very disappointed man I was like oh my go because in my mind in my mind of Minds you know God you know the old saying tell God your
Plans and he’ll laugh at them right I I I was just confident that I was going to be able to even though I had to be unbiased I was gonna be able to do at the least a wssu basketball game in the semies I haven’t done PA for a wssu game in over
A decade man and like big shout out to my boy DP he does a great job over there I love my he keeps the energy lit that is my bro so there’s no shade or nothing but I just miss it sometimes you know what I’m saying like that’s where I
Started and I I love the games I love the ram so being able to do PA optimistically thinking for them in a game of that magnitude on that scale I was excited about it you know I wanted to look over and see coach heel you know
What I mean um and and just to see all that crumble by noon on Tuesday was like what but they they they just they just they look past that team they started smelling themselves too much they got got too arrogant too cocky and got punched in the face and big
Shouts to Bluefield big shouts to Bluefield for doing that and then going out the next game and fighting as well as they could and coming up a little short against the V Union team that we would have beat the wheels off of again yeah man it was uh like you said
Man I haven’t watched haven’t watched the team all year um you know now I I got to clear up something because I know the Lincoln coach said that last year they had a bunch of seniors that with the team to beat them which was not true
Actually they did have a couple we had Xavier Fel who uh came off the bench you had Jonathan hickin those were the two seniors that were uh that were on the team last year that didn’t come back uh but we Al the wssu also lost two
Guys to division one from last year that would have been back that were on that Squad so uh to win 19 games and to be honest with you there were a couple games that they lost free throw shooting all year long all year long was a uh was a
Problem uh and it looked like they solved the problem in the second half of the in in the last couple of weeks but it reared its head back up again and overtime um you know like you said yeah that was the one thing I was I was
Worried when they went to to Allstar how they were performing the lights I thought they would do well they did the thing like you know they they they did the damn thing it was it was the WSS Sho show let’s it was man my guys Virginia can I just say the Ws
So you know I just want to say to Alonzo Turner’s Point man um arguably the biggest upset in CIAA tournament history I agree like no doubt about it like I compared it to Duke versus Lehi or Duke versus Mercer like it was upset upset like blue again Bluefield College had
Not had double digit wins this season and smacked Us in overtime with three players that fouled out yeah Brandon it was it it was tough it was tough uh you know and and I’ll get to this too so you know we talk about it too uh you talk about the hotels uh Winston
Definitely still showed up you know there was still you know a lot of my a lot of people uh like bat were confident that they were going to be at least in that Thursday Friday game that people weren’t even playing in the comments some people’s planes were
Landing as they were losing to Bluefield State um so that tells you how much they had um you know let you how much confidence they had there but um you know still a lot of WS is you in the building um and you know they saw red be

As wssu lost they didn’t go you know like and w suu fan base travels very very well we just do whether it’s going to Florence Alabama whether it’s going to the W uh to the NBA Allstar it doesn’t matter if wssu is there the fan
Base is going to be there and we’re one of the bigger stronger traveling fan bases in the CIAA and we spend money we spend money we gets rooms we gets uh uh rentals we eat a lot we party we buying out your bars like we we that’s that’s
Just the wssu standard we do we do sections and and and and tables we don’t do general admission tickets we do bottle service and that’s how we party we Rams we set standards with that type of foolish now I don’t know again I’m just speaking from a wssu perspective I

About pwi because they’re shown to us a lot more frequently than HBCU as we’re growing up especially here in North Carolina when it comes to ACC schools and ACC teams top toer ACC teams for the ACC tournament right the ACC tournament hurts when Carolina and Duke aren’t in
The final four no shade to Clemson and Virginia Tech their fans come as well but they don’t have nearly the amount of fan base that Carolina and Duke have so when it’s a it’s a final four of Miami and Florida State versus Clemson and Virginia that’s horrible for the ACC
That’s horrible Florida State fans and and and Miami fans they not coming up in droves like Carolina fans are that’s the equivalent to the CIAA tournament when wssu is not in the final four you dig what I’m saying like and I don’t know what other teams you would put up there
With us who would be the the the the other two or three but Winston Salem State is that caliber of draw for the CI and it was evident and I don’t know the numbers but I’m sure that the numbers would show that when wssu is in the
Final four versus when wssu is not in the final four the money that the CIAA gets from concessions and being in the arena and getting tickets and buying merch and all I bet it’s a lot higher I bet it’s a lot higher that’s all I meant well some R but this wssu stand

And now they just show up in the game center every year making noise so CL oh I’m not familiar with this story I like that though see like the smoke man I wish that because because um cheerleaders can’t travel with the teams I wish they would travel with like the
Fans and just be in the stands and every now and then they just they be in not in uniform but just in they D on tracksuits or whatever and just stand up and just start cheering from the stands and battling like that’ll be lit like why
Can’t the woo Woos come to the games I want to see the woo Woos in the games man that would be lit because I would like to say this to that point Virginia state um people um I definitely saw the wo w w this weekend I got a chance to meet the wo
Woos and uh yeah I’m a fan I’m a fan not only did I see the woes but I saw the I think I might have seen the ad of Virginia state when I was leaving the game and he was telling me how good of a job I did on
The PA and I was telling him how lucky he was to be over at Virginia state and get to see the woo all the time because they are amazing Bunch shout outs to the woo Woos that might have been uh president Abdullah probably might have been the president yeah yeah uh definitely but Yeah I do want Bring it on Bring it on I do yes I do I want I want it so bad well you know from what I understand it what I understand cheerleaders were uh able to uh travel with the teams uh until the bringing on got a little too real
Um um and when world St or got there so now we don’t have that there now the only time we get that is at the CIAA um I know earlier this year I think Hampton and Howard you know they kind of went viral because they were able to do it
But in the CIAA I do believe you actually can’t bring cheerleaders I think that’s a thing oh you know and whatever happened those people are long graduate well we’ve seen some we’ve seen some cheerleader battles battles that you know um you know so but I’m saying like Okay said the cheerleaders can’t travel
But can’t the cheerleaders come as student fans with their school yeah yeah and they do sometimes that man they should make that like all all CA schools should make that a thing like the cheerleaders should be like yo we’re going to the away games we’re gonna just go as students we’re all
Gonna sit together and we’re gonna cheer every now and then too especially like doing free throws and stuff like that that would be lit man that would be lit well you know there’s only there’s only a couple gems in the CIAA that are big enough
Um that are big enough to do that you know Virginia States their gym is cavernous um you know they there’s his big faille state is uh not quite as big but they always seem to have room except for when they play Winston and um I wonder why I wonder why no schools ever

Year on the men’s side um what you mean what you mean what you mean what I miss give me the tap so we had uh after Winston Salem State lost to uh Bluefield State um and Jaylen Austin absolutely went off in that game best offensive performance of the CIAA
Tournament 35 points 34 points 15 rebounds show why he was the player of the year um the young man from Bluefield State uh Mr Hines he said he felt like he was the best player on the court he felt like he was the best in the CIAA he
Did come back and clear that up but you know um there was some discussion about there was some discussion about that there was some discussion about Cleo Hill and whether or not he should have been the whether or not he should have been the uh coach of the year um you
Know Lincoln’s coach said that he voted for claflin’s Coach which is fine I guess um but I I don’t know I I just felt like and then also um the defensive player of the year there was a discussion about that as well um I don’t know man it it
Seemed like how do you feel about that I mean every player should be confident everybody should feel like they’re the best and shout out to Jaylen Austin he didn’t take it personal but when you look for a player of the year what is a
Player of the Year to you is it the best scorer is it the most important player on the best team is it what is a Player of the Year to you because I know why I think Jaylen Austin was the player of the the year and but I but I I would

People into the games too first like I think it’s some I want to talk to somebody about the conflict of the scheduling the scheduling is in it’s ridiculous when you got at the same time you got games going on you got a cheerleading exhibition going on so now
You got a fan that says do I want to go over here to the battle of the bands or do I want to go over here to the game do I want to go over here to the step show or do I want to go like and the
FanFest should be the FanFest that area I feel should lead into where the folks are where into where the games are like I wish the FanFest area could be in The Concourse and then I don’t know what space does this I don’t know what city does this that could accommodate this I
Don’t know how Baltimore could do this if they even could do this but the FanFest being blocks away from the gym does a bit of a disservice especi and to counter that you’ve got games and things going on simultaneously with events at the FanFest like it’s just
Counterproductive so I would like to try to amend that some kind of way and man the ca tournament need a comedy show there needs to be a comedy show some point of CIAA week so I’m looking forward to you know doing something with that uh next year especially with Jess

Food with hotels well not hotels people stay in Wednesday D but with fooding and um gas and just all types of thing the economy Boost from that but it’s gonna just be awesome for the City of Winston and Greensboro to just have that energy again that battle of I40 that 336 like I
Remember back in the early late 90s early 2000s when I first went to winum state in 2000 and Tory woodbery and them boys used to that going battle with an when they would come back and forth back and forth up and down the road type joint it’s whack now that anent won’t D
On travel because they D1 and we D2 like none of that foolishness matters like there are certain games that should just always happen just because of one the history of it all and the proximity right like ENT and wi Salem State are less than 30 miles between each other
The history they have with one another with another parallels like from from the Athletics to the Civil Rights like there were sit in movements in Winston that aren’t as documented as the Aggie for but they happened and it just seems like that they would take more pride in
The culture and the history of those institutions to make sure that those games um affected each fan base and and affected each um Community the same way like I understand the rules of a D1 couldn’t come to a D2 I get that part but anti should understand what that
Would do for the Winston Salem Community the same way it enhances the anti Community when Winston Salem travels there and I feel like just not understanding that plight and not understanding that um Brotherhood or or or or or HBCU hood is disheartening sometimes you know

Counterparts and that is why so many of us tragically suffer like St all with that being said today is voting day you probably might be looking at us and might not I don’t even think I got time to please make sure you vote today these are the prelims these are the ones you
Vote for the judges where you vote for your uh District Attorneys where you vote for sheriffs the people that change our communities talk to those people we get those people that look like us and think like us and can help us then it goes up it does not funnel down it
Funnels up and these elections today are very important prayers up to the St Al family I love the Falcons and um let’s just make sure let’s try to do everything we can to make sure that none of our other HBCU brothers and sisters suffer this
Plight no doubt about it I mean you know even our own alada you know you know alumni alumni me a couple months ago they’ve lost $10 million off their budget you know um so if you do know a student you know if you know a student
And uh I you know encourage them to you know attend attending the HBCU you know when that fits them you know like I’m I’m recruiting all you know I’m not an official recruiter for anything but if I hear a kid that wants to go to school

You know get some information for their kids you know possibly go to college at HBCU of course WSU or any other HBCU that we have there but it’s going to be dope um April 12th through 14th at Winston s State University the CP3 classic presented by B I’m excited about

Salem State University has affected the culture for decades decades people and you haters out there you should be more thankful you should be more thankful that we’re here and we’re doing things that the world can enjoy and putting on for CIAA and HBCU the question should
