Those of you who are watching if you haven’t pledged if you’re considering it you know just know that a lot of people are as they mature and grow and living with the trauma of the experience because it is traumatic I’m going tell you something the the experience was so traumatic
Yesterday on my video I realized after I made my video that I was citing my the year of my uh you know experience as the year that I got married because in my psyche I guess the experience of pledging was so traumatic that I just erased the year
And I went to an experience that was more pleasant I didn’t realize that until after I had filmed the video I watched it back and every time I said the year I said it one year uh you know I said it the year I got married the process is traumatizing it is
Traumatic so as people are maturing and coming into a fuller understanding of like healthy relationships self-worth and self- value and you know and maybe they’re seeing healthier models of organizations that are working together because a lot of when you when you watch the uh denouncement videos from a lot of
The girls women who had pledged Delta many of them say that their lines once they crossed there was so much uh chaos disarray arguing no no Unity no Sisterhood at all that is so disappointing that you pay all of that physical exchange to be in an organization with a
Bunch of people who don’t get alone they don’t like each other they are sabotaging each other’s careers or uh livelihoods or family or health or whatever so renounce means to formally give up or reject something usually a belief a practice or your allegiance to Delta Sigma Theta or some organization
You renounce it so you in your mind you you quit you stop going you stop associating and they kind of get they understand what that signals but then you have to take it you have to finish the process you denounce so when you’re renouncing you have to do more than just
In your mind don’t comply you need to formalize formalize get your name off the rooll formalize that process reach out to that organization and tell them to remove your name from their membership role that’s important because then you’re breaking you are then breaking Covenant you are formalizing the end to
The relationship it’s no more okay and then after that you have to tell according to Leviticus 5 you have to tell others that it is a lie you cannot just come to the understanding that it’s a lie a deception a misrepresentation you have to tell others hey warning warning slow down and
Consider some things like investigate some things like look at all of these organizations across the board because they’re they’re they’re a conglomerate they’re one collaborative so you denounce after you get all your ducks in a row then you denounce I didn’t denounce until formally out to the public until
What yesterday I’ve made videos before where I said don’t pledge or no that’s not how I said it I said something like don’t um make an oath in these organizations but at that time that’s as far as I felt comfortable taking it but now I understand that according to Leviticus
5 I have an obligation to tell others to warn others and also I have an obligation I’m going to go on to the um next slide so when you denounce you publicly condemn or criticize the organizations for the reasons you believe they there is an offense or there is a broken contract or
However you want to say it um misleading or whatever an awareness that wasn’t there initially or whatever right and you do this it’s according to um Wikipedia in a strong or empathe empathetic man with your emotions right to touch the hearts of the people that you’re trying to talk to
So I had to repent because at the time I was pledging I was 19 years old and my sister my baby sister was 12 and she often tells me about the night I crossed the Sands and how it impacted her when I came home I came home very early in the morning
Like between midnight and 6:00 in the morning it was it was an odd hour in the morning and I was all like egged up just a mess like I had been through a color run with mud and dirt and sand and everything before I Repent I want to

Prayer I was like Lord I need to repent for my sister was 12 years old an adolescent very impressionable as a matter of fact her childhood best friend pledged because of me and I had to tell my sister tell her I repent for leading her down the wrong way like you
All yeah I mean you know people are are going to say well maybe you misunderstood maybe you didn’t know enough about the sorority maybe your feelings are hurt or you’re feeling um harmed in some way so you’re no that’s not it I I was 19 years old and what do 19 years old

Trust to listen to you definitely talk to God pray read the Bible because his word is his will God’s word is his will and the more we know his word the more the clearer we are about his will there are some fundamental principles about our character and Fidelity following him
