Me i have a thing about quotes and i have a quote that i’m going to share with you all tonight because it would not be greek awards without a quote from gabriel so that’s what i’m gonna do my current favorite quote right now comes from my current favorite movie coco
Which you know came out in 2017 if you haven’t seen it you should watch it um we may have our differences but nothing’s more important than family as we reflect tonight on 2020 i want us to set i i hope that we set our differences aside
As a community and we build and support the fraternity and sorority family i hope we refuse to give in during adversity and that we continue to exemplify what it means to be greek and a member of this shocker nation as we wrap up i today am much more aware
That fraternity and sorority life is much more than the golden social community that is often misrepresented in media today going greek is a process and a commitment where if you take advantage of the opportunities that are presented to you during your membership and you will graduate a much more well-rounded individual
My hope for each of you this upcoming year and beyond is that you continue to expand your circle that you harness this network of loyal friends grant yourself the opportunities and experiences that are afforded to you and you continue to serve your community and your philanthropy work as a team and ultimately remember
That this is one band one sound one community thanks danielle johnson for that quote and i’m going to use it forever as we close our annual greek awards ceremony we’d like to give a special thanks to caleb johnson greg mathias and carrie longback from the media resource center
