This is what happens when two tourists get together that want to serve the community and make their Community a better place yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah huh welcome to the risky lifestyle podcast and I’m your host Joshua Southern or call me big risky big smooth big cuz whatever you

Want it to be huh um but yeah I got somebody special here today special and this is my guy my little bro huh Mr styles by Miles himself yes sir sir Mr miles Johnson everybody everybody h welcome bro appreciate it appreciate it appreciate you my guy appreciate you you

Know what I’m saying hey yeah yeah yeah so I’m glad you uh were able to pop up on me yeah you know what I’m saying I’m glad you you know out of your busy schedule cuz I know you got a lot going on yeah man all the time you know what

I’m saying and uh yeah I’m just glad to you know have you here so yeah man um we in the still man get the people a quick little intro man like where you from you know what you about you know yeah man well I’m going give you a quick intro

It’s your boy Miles J from from South Lansing uh born and raised you feel me and uh went to seon high school went to Bowling Green State University and then I majored in advertising came back crossed his Alpha while I was at BG you know what I’m saying quick note and then

Um the BR yeah yeah shout out to the BR and then when I came back to Lon I ran for County Commissioner uh also same time while I’m being County Commissioner also got my brand right here called styles by miles but this a recent hoodie

I made you know what I’m saying so want to do some product placement oh yeah yeah I mean and and I mean the photo shoot was uh Immaculate you know what I’m saying you know right here at risky Studios you know what I’m talking about literally um yeah man like the uh photo

Shoot came out very well it did it did appreciate you for that come on man come on man off this camera man hey hey man this camera this camera clean serious man somebody on the phone serious the serious I didn’t think I was talking to nobody all right

Anyway we’ll cut that out um yeah but yeah so um yeah man we going we going to transition a little bit you know what I mean you gave us a quick little intro but you know just for a little Icebreaker for like the people man we

Want to we want to break the ice with this segment that I like to call I remember when okay so I remember when what like you got a you got a story for the people that you want to know or hey like it could be even a story about uh

Yeah uh when you asked me earlier about like a story I was trying to think of like something clothing related yeah that could be kind of you know funny or whatever what what happened uh first thing that came to mind when I was in high

School um well I got I got I got one and a half story okay so like we got time all right bet bet bet so when I was with um how you used to live with my mom in the school year yeah and go see my dad in

The Summers okay your dad from Atlanta right my dad’s from he was born in Dallas okay raised in L but he moved to Atlanta okay okay so you having a cowboy hat on he he a Cowboy fan hey like big Cowboy fan I mean for me like the 90s

Like when you a kid like like you go for whoever was winning and the Cowboys was winning back in the90s oh man with Deion Sanders uh Michael Irving Troy amegan Leon Le was on the team um yeah they had they had some boys man they had some

Boys on that on that squad though that was nice so well yeah pops is definitely a Dallas fan big Dallas fan um but either way yeah so bro so my mom I would like be at home with my mom or whatever she always get my clothes from JC penni

Okay because she worked at JC Penny little discount too probably a little discount then I go down to Atlanta and my dad be like yeah we got to get your swag up go to underground we did actually we did we did we did Atlanta bro I know that even going right

Now but yeah yeah no no it ain’t going no more it turned into a club though my dad told me right that’s crazy cuz you know how big that that always big turn a CL huge yeah but um either way so that kind of like I was my early swag days

Like always come back from Atlanta with new drip okay yeah give me the give me like the time frame cuz like you know like of like when you so this is like I did that since I was probably like five six years old okay so we looking at what uh early

2000s 2003 2003 2003 yeah but my dad used to give me his shirts right and he would wear extra large or like large hey so you wearing tall te you feel I even realize it until I look at some old pictures I’m like bro

Who put that on me man did you have Jabo Jean no no like like little I heard about the Jabo jeene I ain’t never had no Jabo Jeans okay pops used to have the Jabo Jeans it was a must yeah he yeah he said Jabo Jeans was it sure it was the

Must bro it was a must have yeah jeans I only heard stories but um when I was in high school bro still for some reason my outfits was weak and people used to make fun me from my outfits look at them now though look at him now look at me now no

Right so I remember this one day bro I was at school and I had War I thought I was fire bro I wore a red Polo shirt it like all red okay button up though was it like RAV laen or was it like Po laen no no no no no

No hey no sir no sir no no we had ra FL I made sure they can see the Sy up up then we had the pink cargo shorts I don’t know what I was doing and then I hading see like what you putting together like was they like the salmon

Color like like pink like Sor pink no it was like pink pink pink like not not like not like Barbie pink like no it was it was like light pink yeah okay okay okay it wasn’t like yeah it wasn’t pink pink okay but anyway it was light pink

And then they were shorts though you feel me yeah then the shoes was some red spies with the blue bottom and I had the red red and blue socks and I walked in the lunchroom and my man’s was like bro miles what are you wearing what you

Doing bro and I’m like bro I’m I’m trying to trying to get my swag right so so when I’m picturing this outfit though like it’s almost I wish I had a picture it was it’s almost too much like yeah like like I understand like you was trying to get like your fit

Off but like I trying to get off but it was just like too much n yeah it was to it was way too much you definitely missed me when you said red spes I’m like oh yeah bro you did you did you did too much like like if you would have kept it

Maybe even like you know like some regular like you know Brown like Spirits you know what I mean something like that something regular maybe like the brown Spirits with like maybe like blue on there yeah something like that or U but like when you said red Spirit I’m like

Red Spirits bro yeah I was trying to color coordinate it was too much you got to coordinate yeah and that’s what my nanny used to always teach me and so yeah I ended up started dressing up though yeah yeah yeah yeah I took out the I took out the

Uh the cargo pen the cargo shorts okay okay but either way that was uh I just remember that story cuz I I I was with I was really doing too much and I thought I was a man for show with the outfit oh yeah I mean

It so I think in our community in like the African American Community um man we pride oursel on like labels and like being being fresh and being dressed up um being able to like really get our fit off you know what I’m saying like and really just you know stun a little

Bit just stun a little bit you know what I mean so like um I know C that had that Polo assassin on or that like you know that US polo Association yeah yeah like and if you wore that you you getting bullied bro bullied yeah bull like don’t ever wear

That yeah um it’s bad and you know so on that note though my I remember when I remember coming from Sagar and like whoever don’t know what Sagar Michigan is man it’s a it’s one of the most country cities in the North like because it’s so many transplants from down south that live

Live in Sagar during the the Industrial Revolution you know of all these car plants and stuff opening up um and I remember like going to I think it was Burlington or something like that yeah and I got me a bunch of Polo assassin thinking thinking you know

That’s that’s funny cuz I I had something with my dad but go ahead yeah yeah yeah yeah so like thinking that you know you know I’m g go off to college you know saying I’mma have you know I’m G be a little fresh dang no you took it

To College took it to College oh no and I bought it with like some of my um my uh open house money you know how you have like like the open house SP the open house money some of it you know what I mean I was like but but for me

Like had a deal though yeah like I was used to shopping at uh right right right right Burlington TJ Maxx stuff like that you know what I mean when I was smaller and I was like a little bit shorter you know what I’m saying like where I could

Still get stuff from there and be be all right you know what I’m saying but um yeah Boston Polo assassin bro and uh nigas to say um shout out to my teammates man they let me know right away like that ain’t it g yeah you know I mean especially when I’m seeing them

Wearing wearing wear Ralph right they got Ralph on you know like the real Ralph bro they out here like you know they really getting their fit off you know what I’m saying and me I got this like the I remember like it was yesterday I still got a picture on Facebook which

I’m if I can find it I’ll uh put it up on the screen but man I had this Polo assassin joint it was like stripe and it was like uh it was like black and white like stripe or something like that M thought I was

Fresh had on the jean shorts to go with it you know what I’m talking about and like some basketball Sho I don’t know bro but I thought it was fresh the USA with the jean shorts Nota not the USA though that’s kind of but yeah bro uh so yeah man like that’s

My I remember when I thought man like you know just a pig bag off yours like man I thought I was yeah I thought I was fresh thought I was fresh bro with the on bro and like that’s that wasn’t it at all I feel like

Everybody got to have that moment if you don’t have that moment it’s like you don’t can’t grow from it because and S know like you you can kind of kind of get away with it you know what I mean because one like I said it’s more of a

Country town you know what I’m saying like like there’s a lot of transplants and sag and all right and you know we don’t really know no better so I go to the east coast right I went to Boston College so I’m in the city of Boston you

Know man where like fashion is thriving New York not not too far away and like there’s a lot of students that came from New York you know that went to BC you know what I’m saying and like it’s people from everywhere people from Cali people from everywhere probably

Washington DC yeah and I come from this small like town you know of sag I mean even though you know sagol made me who I am and I’m a rep sag anywhere I go but um yeah we wasn’t we wasn’t really on it man we was like a little behind we was a

Little behind you know what I’m saying on uh fashion and stuff so um but yeah man I got hip quick like real quick you know what I mean and um I got it together you know saying you feel like college helped you get your swag together for sure okay um but also it

Showed me college showed me you know even though I’ve been my wife forever but like um it’s really not about the clothes though it’s about the man that’s wearing them boys though for sure you know what I’m saying like as long as you put together you clean you need you know

What I’m saying like like you still can get you know what I’m saying you still can get off so um but yeah college man College college taught me a lot man but like it taught me like there is way more to this world than just so I’m migan way more to worri about

CU um with me coming to Lancing you know what I mean going to Michigan State and like I would only come to like East Ling like I might have to the capital you know I mean I went to the capital when um uh we won the state championship and

Then I think the other time I came to Lon was like four fifth grade we went to uh impression five I was about to say it had to be impression five five and I like a banger but I remember like just it was so dope to me I’m just like bro

This is dope and I had to be like fourth fifth grade so we talking about like late 90s yeah D it’s been around that long D just research yeah yeah I’m I’ll have to look that up too but I I believe they’ve been been around that long

Though I mean I’m I’m pretty thinking like at least 50 years cuz my wife um she um she said she went like when she was in elementary too though wow yeah yeah yeah so like those are the like only yeah shout out to Impressions five

But um it was like really the only times I was in lanting okay you know what I’m saying but like I was always in East Ling cuz we would have uh uh basketball practices at um Michigan State and all that stuff too and then I was I was

Being recruited by MSU so you know we was you know always at the games and stuff like that so I wasn’t really hip to laning like that so but uh yeah man so we G to transition okay going transition so man we want a really deep

Dive into like who miles is and like where he been where he come from you know what I mean and like you know you know what like what what are some of those things in your past that that like drives you to who you are right now but

You know we want to go into your into your past man yeah um I would say from my uh clothing perspective on my drip in my clothing brand I would say all that kind of stems from my family yeah uh when I first started my brand I called it I

Am and I did that and I cuz I was in high school and I wanted cuz like I wanted something that reflected something positive cuz like I’m a positive person yeah I always try to think positive and I know you know you had bad days so I felt like if I put it

On my chest there was no way that like I could hold my head down absolutely you feel me so like so it was like it would be tight Clips to say I am blessed I am Relentless I am Sensational so like let’s say you was think you know looking down

You can see like okay you remember what you you know standing for that day and keep your head up yeah yeah for sure man like I mean because man you need those daily aspirations you know what I mean um and like those things that like

Remind you of like yeah I am I am somebody you know what I mean I am like who like God called me to be like I am on this Earth for a reason you know what I mean um and I heard this guy talk I forget his name like he pretty pretty

Well known but he was even talking about like how blessed we are to even be alive right but he he like talked about it from like a um a like like scientific like type of type of thing where like so we all know you know how you know um

When a man and female get together you know and you know they they’re like trying to make a baby but he was just saying man it’s like a billion sperm that’s trying to get to this to this to this egg right and like for you to even

Make it there and you be the one out of these billions billions of sperm for you to make it yeah like bro you already like you already made it like bro you already successful so like if we start to look at things like that I think bro

We like we we we really can put things back into the perspective that they need to be you know what I mean yeah so like with you in this clothing brand bro like one nobody had nothing like that like even right now bro you you’re you’re an

Entrepreneur like you know I mean which I want you to you know talk about that I want you to talk about you know entrepreneurship how that’s going you know what I’m saying like yeah how did it start which which it started with I so um well it let me let me rewind it

Didn’t start with I am that was how styles by Miles started basically I am turning the styles by miles but basically um I started selling cookies with my dad in the summer yeah you know you know we got the cookies on Deck hey them cookies are fire too I Ain I ain’t

Gonna twe with take it yeah yeah we whipping it up but uh yeah so basically I started with the cookies used to sell them yeah and that experience got me to you know selling clothes yeah um it really helped me like not be afraid to talk to random people I don’t know um

Help me connect with people better yeah I a even realize you know I was just trying to put on for pops you feel so I mean especially at that age you know I’m 13 bro I ain’t no yeah yeah you ain’t no nothing a’t no nothing you feel me I was

Just walking around but it it was like fun like I just remember like if I could do anything like ever like again I would do that I would I would definitely if I could go back to any point in time I would go back to selling cookies because

That was just so fun bro but uh either way man um so from there that’s how I started my entrepreneurship Journey had the I am through the business program which is through the Michigan chamber Commerce yeah and then from there I was working with leap on styles by Miles I

Was in a pitch competition yeah and I tried to pitch for it and they gave me like honorary whatever yeah I ain’t get no money you get no cheese though so you I was so mad bro I said they going to regret I was like they going to regret

Not giving me that check yeah and I said any other entrepreneur here and you know however many years I’mma still be around and I I bet you they probably won’t facts facts so I mean hey that’s just my mindset I was I felt like they had

Birthed a dog in me yeah is that something that still drives you now though absolutely yeah yeah cuz like I feel like it’s easy to start a clothing brand but it’s hard to stay around but that’s business period too you know what I’m saying like to like actually stay around and like sustain

But also come up with new innovative ideas to like Drive Drive traffic you know into your business and um to like gain um loyal customers you know that’s gonna continue to come back and shot with you right so yeah bro it’s hard it’s hard man so I think we uh we hit

The five year mark so I’m actually really proud of that because they said most years end in five years five years five years they say I’m still going the first five years is the hardest yeah yeah and I feel like it’s definitely been hard but um with this with these

New drops I got coming I ain’t going to lie I think I’m going to go through the roof for sure oh no bro like like even who got on now like I was like bro that was genius yeah thank you genius bro yeah like cuz pretty girls do love

Styles you know they like to they like to put it on too they like to put it on they like to put it on so I want to um in my in my objective with this with this drop I really wanted something where I felt like I really show love to

The women out of all my five years I really haven’t had a woman specific product MH like I tried to do chokers it wasn’t it wasn’t going yeah no I mean but man that’s what business is about trialing era though like you know you see what people like you see you know

Like all right that wasn’t a hit so let me let me move on hello everyone this is Joshua Southern owner engineer producer here at risky Studios and risky Studios you know it’s a place where you can be yourself you can be creative you can you know make your wildest dreams come true

You know so come join us in the heart of East laning go green go white go Spartans we’re back yeah but um but yeah no so with styles by Miles man um I wanted to show love to the ladies I wanted to represent something more than just an average clothing brand

Absolutely because you know like with clothing brands everybody do t-shirts everybody do sweaters sweatpants and so like obviously you know I did a hoodie today but I’m more so try to do stuff that’s different that’s why I got I’ve done backpacks duel bags yes sir I done

Done socks I got them on I got them on right now I mean we G we G yeah we going we going get to get to that um and then that’s so with pretty girls love Styles right so my whole thing is evolution from there I was like bam if I do this

For women what else could come in like a package and so that’s when I you know I’m about to drop low key you feel me styles of beauty to drop the beauty line you heard it here yes sir yes sir on a risky lifestyle podcast yeah yeah my

First time talking about it like publicly yeah yeah Styles Beauty Styles Beauty for sure yeah straight for the women let’s go yeah yeah and I know some of the things that you working on you know that we talked about off you know off camera but yeah bro dang Beauty yeah

Man it’s going to be F I think so too I mean bro but you made it to this to this five years Mark now it’s like to just continue to grow and grow grow grow you know what I’m saying yeah man I ain’t GNA lie bro like I honestly look I look

Forward to the future as far as styles by Miles um there’s a couple moments where I felt like man I should just pause it real quick you know just just let it ride for a second have you ever thought about packing it up like just like bro I’m done with this absolutely

Yeah man uh once I had become like County Commissioner yeah I was like man and then like my speaking engagements yeah bro I’m like I ain’t got time for it for one but like also it’s like you know it is it is what it is you I just

Feel like look okay let’s say I’m a public speaker right and I’m doing speeches and going crazy yeah I’d rather get paid $55,000 at my speech and then give you some free styles by Miles clothes absolutely you see what I’m saying I mean CU then I would just pay myself you

Paying yourself easy like I I just felt like that made more sense but I got people in Ohio I got people in Lon they don’t know what a county commissioner is all they know is brother miles been disappeared for styles by Miles what’s going on what’s up so I’m like you know

What yeah I mean I ain’t that dang busy I can’t focus on myself absolutely man like man you got to bet on yourself you got to you know um because I want people to hear that because like like as a business owner man it’s it’s tough at

Times bro like it’s tough man where like sometimes like you doubt yourself you know you doubt like even like your ability but like at the end of the day like you know what idea you know that has been on your heart for for for years right like

AB like when I even think about the this like studio and how things like kind of like um got put together right like just my love of music and always wanting to uh make make music but also Al always been you know interested in film and cinematography um and like those things

Go hand inand with each other you know music and like how people score uh films and all that stuff um so in college man I took audio classes and you know um I’m a uh I have a communications degree you know and um you know so I’ve always been

You know interested in like the multimedia space yeah um so yeah man like so you know like what’s been put on the inside of you and you’re doing yourself uh Injustice if you like like stop in the middle of the process yeah and not really see everything through

Now like if it’s just like me me meant for you to close up shop after you done tried everything you did everything you didn’t have mentors you did all this and that like yeah it’s it’s probably time to you know shut the doors but not but not stop your entrepreneur Journey right

And that’s what people like like some people just you know have a side hustle some people have you know just this but entrepreneurs going to make other avenues for themselves too and have multiple strings of income as well absolutely you know what I mean so yeah yeah so so yeah bro I love

Entrepreneurship man it saved my life kept me out the streets kept me out the way and uh got me here yeah yeah so styles on Miles Styles Beauty yeah Styles Beauty dang so so like we didn’t even transition for real but like now we’re we’re at current day right now

Yeah yeah so like we went from where you were to like where are you now um well right now I’m segmenting more into uh getting into the women’s clothes so that’s why I’m getting well excuse me women’s market so that’s why I started Styles Beauty um so it won’t just end at

The at the beauty okay we we get the other products yes sure and and also like I want to do more classes I want to start teaching classes uh as far as like how to start a brand um and like kind of share my knowledge yeah because I feel like I’m

Sitting on it and the thing I I’ll be thinking about is like okay you know why why would I give people the game if I’m in the game and it make me feel a little weird but then at the end of the day it’s like

Okay if I do it for laning it would make more sense for me personally because everybody else’s success is My Success absolutely and so if I hold back bro I’m not helping I’m not helping myself at that point absolutely and and and especially in our African-American

Community man we have this like um crabs and barrel uh mentality right like yeah like somebody going up and like we feel like we got to pull them down back into our mess or whatever or like Hey we’re we’re we’re climbing and we can’t reach reach back you know and like help help

Others right like we got to get it all for oursel um something that probably came out of slavery you know I mean let me go like deep into that but like you know hey like I got it like I can’t share with nobody else you know what I

Mean um but it’s one of them things bro like you you you doing right you know what I mean like you doing right um because I’m the same way like if I got it like like you g to know like you GNA know that like

This is how I got it this are like you can do it as well because I’m a firm believer in especially when it come to product and and like even you know like you know uh marketing to like the right people that whoever is for you is for

You yeah because just because my barber Co like don’t mean you GNA come over to my barber like whoever whoever is for you whoever like like you’re for your Barber and I’m for my barber like and they still coexist together right right you know what I’m saying so like

Everybody can coexist together um the same like in music like I don’t listen to everybody you know what I mean and like there’s a million rappers there’s a million rappers out here yeah weird rappers too yeah yeah so like good rappers too though yeah but that don’t

Mean to say like they going to stop because you know like somebody like put them on right yeah M real quick too you show me some good Christian rap last time I was here appreciate that app yeah bro I mean that’s just for me um because

Of how I grew up but also like I know the importance of like what you constantly looking at what you constantly put in your in your ear you know what I mean and like what you listening to affects um your like dayto day like like even your life right um

Like when I listen to a lot of like um you know a lot of us in the church call it secular you know I I I just call it you know music you know what I mean but like you listen to like you know other music that’s not you know positive you

Know um it can affect like how you thinking like like shoot I remember listening listening to like Jeezy in high school you I know jezy yeah jezy hey that guy and I’m talking about jezy the Snowman jezy the Snowman I don’t think I remember oh you don’t know oh

Yeah bro he used to be be gz the Snowman you know what I’m saying I ain’t gonna lie I hate to say it but I feel like I thought Gucci was a snowman snowman Jesus snowman okay for sure yeah Jesus snowman so but yeah like

If you listen to that first album um uh thug motivation 101 um man there’s a lot of joints in there like talking you know talking about pitching pitching packs you know what I mean like um you know shooting people all that you know what I’m saying

I’m kind of like okay yeah like and I’m seeing it you know firsthand like you know like you know from where I live right like I I see it dayto day you know um you know I lived on the corner of Ray and Herold for whoever inside you know

Know where Ray and Herald it is um you know that that neighborhood back in the you know the early 2000s was uh on fire it was on fire it was on fire you know what I’m saying so um but yeah man you start to you know you start to like

Almost like put on those ideologies if that makes sense so um when uh the guys that I listen to now still lrae triple you know yeah Tashi all them cats you know they’ve added people to their to their fold too but like those are the people that I started

Off with and it was no longer that Kristen Hip Hop was corny yeah like you know it had like you know it started to compete you know what I mean even with mainstream right so um I was proud to listen to it you know and like you know

So I’m like yeah like this is going to keep me grounded somewhat you know but I like I still love music so you know what I mean it was like some something hidden like I might listen to it once or twice and then I’m like all right cool you

Know yeah so but yeah bro so man like you got a lot going on um with Styles about miles man you’re you’re expanding the brand catering towards you know the women’s Market just a little bit more um so with that being said before we transition to the last

Segment we’re going to do this segment called what you got on your feet there huh huh what you got huh we got a little heat today we got we got a little heat y’all we got a little heat got a little heat man I’m pull the shoe off show what you got man

Show them what you got man go we going to go you feel me o oh green joints yes s that was crazy cuz crazy I think these some customs for real I mean I see like the shy on the back yeah yeah they they they some customs for sure

Then yeah yeah so these is a gift from yeah hooked me up shout to shout out to he customized him himself yeah them boys is crazy them boys crazy yeah I mean you you did did want to show off your socks too oh yeah yeah

Yeah the styles by Miles socks man GL I have a hole in them boy that would have been crazy hey hey but it’s good for TV it’s good for TV you know what I’m saying all right all right all right all right so yeah all right so now um for me I have

On I got the Air Max 720s on you know the you know I like them the gray the gray on gray color way you know the clear bottoms you know what I’m talking about um yeah a very comfortable shoe I got them on super sale maybe one of these I

Don’t know if it was like Black Friday or something like that um but yeah man I had got them on sale for like 50 bucks or something like that 50 bucks 50 bucks man that’s a crazy deal and I might have had like a coupon to go with it or

Something like that man you know man I like I like coupons you know so yeah so yeah man um whatever you got on your feet is fire oh thank you yeah yeah I don’t know yeah C cust he them custom but yeah man um so yeah we going transition to you know one

Of the last segments here um in is so we talked about where you were MH um where you are now so talk to the people about where you going like what’s your vision for like the future um cuz you have like already some things in the work now but

Like where do you see yourself uh in 6 months a year five years to even 10 years like what where do you see yourself even with like styles by Miles Bo but also more so your entrepreneurial um Journey um I would say within the next five years I want styles by miles

Or my brand so when I go to speeches I still want to do that yeah when I go give speeches I want to give out like sweet drip like I want to give out sty by Miles absolutely you know what I’m saying from the from the checks that

They give me cuz speakers be getting paid Buu bucks oh bro they get R and and the t-shirts they be giving out that’d be decent you know what I’m saying but like to actually have some drip like like crazy drip like that’s what I want

To do and I feel like I I want to bless um college kids and high school students across the country cuz um I don’t know about other you know school districts but I know in the lancea school district a lot of kids go to school with the same

Clothes on yeah or they like especially at the elementaries they have washers and dryers there cuz kids come come to school with dirty clothes dirty clothes yeah so like why I feel like why sell you a t-shirt when the te when the school could pay me a couple Grand and I

Rather just give you you feel me and actually be a blessing instead of just hey I’m a motivational speaker like I doing no bro we are here blessed in our community yeah absolutely bro that’s that’s where I want to be no bro that’s man I love that bro I love that man

That’s that that’s reaching back to the to like the the community that you came out of you know um because there things that I got in the works that I want to do like in Sagar too you know I mean but um but yeah man like it’s crazy like

Being in like the school district and I’m like I’m I’m in and out you know and I’ve seen like you know some of these kids and like even some of the kids that go to school with my son I’m like dang like you know even though they wearing

Uniforms but man like they still they still going through it bro they going through it yeah bro you could tell man and like you know I grew up with kids like that too you know and I always had a had a art to you know what I mean like

One like just just be cool with them I mean because they were still good people they just didn’t have like the means bro you know what I’m saying lit and like sometimes man it’s like you know the kids that got so much potential they just don’t have the

Resources so like for you you know I mean offering your time your resources and your clothes to you know some of these um like these underserved you know people in the in our community I think it’s fantastic bro I appreciate it yeah yeah so I mean

Um with that being said bro you got any like last like words that you want to absolutely you know give to you know our viewers and um you know something that you want to leave with them yeah um anybody that’s looking for a speaker for Black History Month um shoot MLK day or

Any other uh lead ership event that you have holl at your boy um my bookings are open for 2024 but I also want to leave youall with a gem see it’s one thing to have a business it’s one thing to be an entrepreneur but I feel like giving back

Is also very important so if you want to start a business or if you have a nonprofit that you want to start start with why start with your purpose my whole purpose in starting styles by miles is because people was making fun of my outfits I was tired of being made

Fun of and you know when you in the black community like he like he brought up earlier we always worry about the brand what is that Polo is that Gucci right but it’s like why why would I charge my community 8060 $300 for a t-shirt when I know they can’t afford it

I would rather provide them with the same type of luxury obviously I can’t hit the same cuz I’m going to have to charge you at least 300 but if I could reach a certain amount of luxury for a certain amount of price point and still provide you with that great type of

Clothing and how you feel good and it’s black on and you smiling and you walking around like man like that’s what I want that’s what I want you to walk away with I don’t and that’s why I want to give it away for free really because

Like if I even if I sold it to you I don’t feel like I’m really doing anything for you because you still like I got kids they ask me for jobs I got kids that ask me for money yeah no no no no listen listen I would rather teach you something than just

Like take from you you feel me absolutely I mean like it just go back to like one of them Proverbs of like you know you give a man a fish you know like he he good for a day right but if you teach a man the fish he fed fed for a

Lifetime right so I mean like for you you know me in the community or you know kids that are interested in you know um getting into fashion getting into you know making their own own brands starting their own businesses I mean that’s something that can serve them for

A lifetime lifetime bro that’s what I want to do absolutely bro absolutely so yeah um on that note man bro I appreciate you bro yes sir appreciate you I appreciate you this is a good podcast yeah yeah yeah bro so yeah man hey hit that like subscribe comment you know on anything

Comment on my man man shoes what you think about about his fire um uh comment on you know like you know his socks you know whatever right but also if you got questions about entrepreneurship hit them up give them your handles real real quick oh yeah yeah yeah yeah you can

Follow meore styles by miles on Facebook Instagram you know what I’m saying I don’t really mess with Twitter don’t worri about that but definitely check me out on Instagram and Facebook absolutely and yeah this has been another episode of the risky lifestyle podcast I have been your host Joshua Southern and I’m
