All right all right let’s pray father we come before you not telling you anything that you don’t know uh we we bow before you in prayer because you said um that we should always pray and we should pray without stopping without ceasing father we ask that you teach us
To pray and teach us how to pray um teach us how to pour our hearts out before you uh we don’t just come to you with problems and with situations we come to you with our with our hearts and with our motives uh the things that uh
We live for are found in you we can’t live without you we can’t die apart from you everything that we do should be aligned with you and that’s what we come to pray for Lord not uh our will but your will let let your kingdom come and
Let your will be done in us as it is in heaven so father we ask that you uh penetrate the core of our being and let us uh be come one and we’re already one with you but let align our lives with you Lord um help us to to see things uh
Through the lens of scripture through the through the power of the Holy Spirit uh so that we don’t see the world the way the world is but we see it the way uh you see it and we see people the way you see people and we see situations the
Way you see situations and we see trouble uh the way you see trouble Lord and father all these things are For Your Glory and you’re in control Lord of everything you’re in control of every circumstance every situation in this room every problem every Victory every
Uh every car and concern Lord it is it is has to come by you Lord God to to get permission to enter into our lives and so father we we trust that we have faith in that and the things that we go through and the things that we see and
The things that we experience are not to crush us or to harm us but they’re to make us like you Lord God they’re to they’re to give us testimonies Lord to how good good you are and there to to put you on display Lord in a world that
Doesn’t want you Lord we want to live so that they can see you and know you and father we just ask right now that every prayer request that has been spoken and unspoken Lord you know it we lift up Sister Presley Lord we lift up Miss Miss Paige sister Paige’s family Lord her
Brother and her sister just asking that you uh just divinely step in Lord God and bring peace and bring comfort and bring strength and bring courage Lord God to a to a situation that that is scary Lord we just ask all these things in your name we we ask you write this

Us of our sin Lord God father uh things that we may not even know that we’re doing that are sinful Lord convict us of these things we’re praying for conviction tonight Lord God convict all of your people Lord and give us hearts of repentance Lord we repent I Repent we
Repent Lord God of all the things that we’ve done and said and thought and desired to do that is unpleasing to you Lord give us a heart of repentance Lord God cleanse us clean your people up Lord God let transform us Lord so that we don’t keep looking the same and walking

Uh just help us Lord we living in a prayerless time just dark living in a time really where people are not even considering godliness don’t even consider it just God just exists to to help me do what I feel like doing that’s kind of where we
Live in if if people do confess him they just he’s just here like a little Genie in a little magic lamp that we rub and that he and he pop out and say what’s what you want what’s your wish and then we tell him our wish that’s what kind of
God we want but he’s not that kind of God he wants to dictate some stuff so uh false teaching we going to talk about false teaching continuously um it is the greatest threat to your life and the church um violence isn’t the biggest threat pornography isn’t the biggest
Threat VI uh drugs and alcohol and all these other things fornication is not the biggest threat it’s false teaching uh so we’re going to come back out of second Peter chapter 2 on chapter 1 second Peter chapter 1 and so so Christ’s second Peter chapter 1 Christ finished work on the
Cross his finished work gives us uh everything that we need for eternal life his finished work so so keep in mind that this Bible study is not talking about getting saved it’s not becoming a Christian because what I said most of these these scriptures are WR are written to the
Church they’re written to people who are already saved so a lot of people just see the Bible as just a Salvation book it’s it’s it’s a Redemptive book but it’s not just uh not talking about Sinners being saved it’s talking to people who are saved this particular passage is already talking so Christ
Finished a work on the cross so that’s what gives you eternal life finish work on the cross gives you eternal life Jesus his atoning sacrifice what he did is work on Calvary that is what secured your eternity with God and really we’ll probably do something on
This but God doesn’t give us a whole lot of insight into it but there’s a new Heaven and a new Earth so so don’t think of going to heaven like you’re going to float around in white all for the rest of Eternity with with you know it’s not
Just going to be this empty existence where we just sitting up looking at God and we just singing songs it’s going to be a new Heaven and a new Earth that you get to live with Christ forever so don’t think of it like we’re g to go float in a puff of
Smoke a lot of people that that’ll be a boring one I mean like I ain’t really looking forward to floating around and singing songs All For Eternity no you’re going to have it’s going to be it’s going to be better than that trust me but Jesus’s death is what secures that
Um so that should give you comfort I believe I receive it I have eternal life um faith in Christ death burial and Resurrection it secures your salvation and it allows you to dwell and live with God forever in a new Heaven new Earth there is nothing you can do nothing you
Can add to what Jesus has already done uh to make you right with God he’s made you right with God I want to make sure you if You’ given giving your life to him you are made right with God because you’re saved by grace not by works faith in Christ produces works but
You don’t work to be saved um but when you come to faith in Christ you are not absolutely Sanctified and purged from your functional practical sin you are you are made right with God you are sin Less in God’s sight that means he sees Christ but in your
Day-to-day function your your words your language your talk all of that you don’t just absorb Divinity you don’t become divine all of that will come when okay so I’m going probably got salvation sanctification justification I talked about justification Sunday uh there is something called glorification of the Saints
We won’t be perfectly like Christ meaning sinless functional until we are glorified with him that means one day when when we when he comes back we’re gonna be like him we’re going to have our glorified bodies like he had when he got up out the grave when you when we
Have that body you will not have you will be incapable of sinning everybody everybody should have been up up Hallelujah right there like one day it’s going to be in you’re going to not have one day you’re not going to be battling this old man because if you’re saved if you say
You’re saved you should be having some type of struggle with your old self that’s a mark of being a Christian I’m I’m I’m I’m I have a battle I tell people if there is no if there is no conflict within you about the old man
And the new man then you need to might go check your salvation you know you can just do live any live freely conscious free and say anything do anything that’s the kind of I’m not bothered by nothing yeah but the but the mark of a Believer
Is I have a conflict so that won’t be over until you see God in his you know in in in in his face that’s your glorification but when it comes to that when you come to faith in Christ you don’t just automatically assume and become everything you’re going to be so
Your old man and you I’ll just say you you were influenced by the world the system this world system so when you become a Christian you do not automatically become purged of of of all of your functional practical sin uh after you receive Christ you don’t automatically assume a divine nature
That would be if you came down front and confessed you walked away and you would never have another sinful thought idea or action again so you have been given a new nature there’s a new man in there the Holy Spirit has regenerated you and given you a new nature and the Bible
Says those that new nature and that old nature is going to butt heads until you stand before God the problem is some people listen to the old nature much more than they do to the new some people feed the old old nature much more than you do the new and
Let me say this you don’t really have to feed the old nature you just have to not feed the new nature because your old nature is going to feed itself it’s going to feed off the world it’s going to feed off TV it’s going to feed off the music it’s going
To feed off a sin it’s going to feed off of uh Darkness it’s going to feed your new nature is over there weak and and sickly because you ain’t cuz you ain’t you haven’t fed it you haden’t watered it you had exercised it and you haven’t given it anything so that’s what we
Talking about false teaching false teaching does not feed the new nature false teaching keeps the new man small or keeps him un uh keeps him hidden false teaching makes that new that new nature man I really want to please Christ I don’t know nothing about him

The world is full of carnal Christians carnal minded fleshly minded Christians because they never start living under the influence of the Holy Spirit the Holy Spirit wants to influence you the Holy Spirit Jesus wants to be Lord over your life and so you got to learn that so many Believers Never Move Beyond
Salvation never move Beyond down front down front go back to their seat go home come back next week down front salvation I’m going to heaven so God wants to use the rest of your life no matter what you did up until you got Christ that’s for the children here

In there got there about 5 5:30 and stayed about 7:30 8:00 it’s just they come straight from prison straight to that facility they come straight there uh released from 20 years in prison one dude was like 18 years he said one did seven one did 10 they come there because
If they just they say if they just go back out and watch this they if they just go back out into the street they gonna come out with that prison mentality the same mentality they got them put in prison the same mentality that they functioned in prison so they
Come here and they and they want they want to be around a a a Christian Christ centered family so that they can now start unlearning what they learned in prison so when they just because just because they left prison don’t mean prison left them so they know if I go back out into
That world I’m going to end up right back where I started so they come out but then now they’re coming to this program and they are going through this program one man man this is so wonderful one man said he been he finished the program he old man like on a
Walker and they we they were eating dinner and I was just kind of talking to them and one man said I’ve been done I’ve I’ve I’ve been through with this program he said I just ain’t never left cuz he said he said what I can go back to my family but
My family don’t love Jesus I can go back to my homeboy my homeboys don’t love Jesus these people here love Christ and so he chose to stay in that facility I was like I want to hug you he said I’d rather stay here and keep being around Believers than to leave here and
Go out into the world this an older man so that’s the same way God wants to God when he calls you out of prison now you got to start unlearning undoing unloving the stuff that he loves so God God wants to show that he wants to pull
You out of prison and and then change you so that now when people see be like didn’t you weren’t you in prison weren’t you a drug dealer a rapist a murderer a CH child weren’t you all these things yes I was I was but now God is doing something
In me he’s changing so the more you read the word of God the more that starts changing transforming renewing God wants to put himself on display but if you never come and get real gospel true teaching rightly divided scripture then guess what that keeps you out of prison but Prison still in
You it it keeps you bound to sin it keeps your it keeps you with the attitude you had before you were a Believer it makes you think about things the way you used to think about them before you was a Believer and this is why the church and Christianity gets a

Christian that mean you just you just going through the motions unfruitful Christian means you just waiting to die and go to heaven that’s all some people say well Heaven is all where I want to be uhuh God don’t want you to just go to heaven 20 5 6 1 2 50
Something some I tell young people you might live to be 70 you got a lot of living to do he want to do something with you while you’re on your way he don’t God does not want to waste your life you waste it unfruitful and Barren look at the scripture again verse eight
For if these things be in you and abound they make you that ye shall neither be Barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of Our Lord so unfruitful and barren means you are an unproductive ineffective Christian who said wow thank you unproductive ineffective coming to church don’t mean you’re effective it
Don’t showing up don’t what are you affecting God wants when you leave church well I wish we could get I wish we going we going we going we going to do a giving we going to take up money we’re going to buy everybody a GoPro you know what a GoPro is them

Your home your school your job where you shop where you frequent he wants to impact he wants to affect some stuff but most people don’t know nothing about him so they remain ineffective and unfruitful you can be unfruitful in your Christian Life if all you’re doing is coming and leaving then guess what
You’re unfruitful so un unfruitful and barren means you are an unproductive ineffective Christian who is failing to partake or particip participate or share in his divine nature look back at verse three according as his divine power has given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness through the knowledge
Of him that has called us to glory and virtue he’s called you when Christ called you to himself he wasn’t just calling you to get your ticket to heaven and go back to doing what you want to do do he called you to his glory and to his

Joy every day we wake up since I’ve been reading this Lord I get I get emotional I get today today I get a chance to participate in your nature I get to participate in Divinity I get to partake of it I get to share it he’s sharing his nature with me

You take your ball and go shoot real quick and then get out their way cuz what you too little you too little to play but boy one day June bug didn’t show up and they be like uh and then it might be three or four of y’all and they look
At you and be like uh little steal come on you be like yes they let they letting you participate they’re letting you play and that’s what God is doing he’s like hey look look hone here come on I get to you want me to God you want me
To you want me to love people you want me to fix my mouth you don’t want I I don’t get to keep talking like the world you want me to you want you want building up language to come out of my M yes I want you thank you Jesus Jesus you get to
Participate in the divine nature and and if you’re unfruitful you are failing to do that a lot of folks let me say this let me say this carefully a lot of people when they get to heaven all they going to be able to do is say I made it to heaven and never
Made no kind of impact on Earth no impact no impact when when you when you die people when you die people be like yeah I’m a m but what kind of impact you making in somebody life somebody else can know Christ through you through your life they can
At least seeing them operate an unproductive unfruitful and ineffective Christian is one who fails to escape the corruption that’s in the world let me let me help you out uh verse four whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises brother Jacobs get a new living I got a

Live like he says live now you are escaping corruption so watch this uh one who is you watch this if you are unproductive unfruitful ineffective Christian you are failing to escape the corruption of this world system this world system is corrupted now we still got to go into the world when I say
World I want everybody to realize don’t think you got to stay at home all day you stay at home all day and still be impacted by the world there’s a system in place called the world system that is set up that’s in opposition to God it’s a moral spiritual system that’s
Set up in opposition to God to God it is R it is run by the devil and that’s the system that he functions in and that’s the system that you used to be a part of and Satan controlled you because you were in that system participating in
That system and going along with that system but then once you gave your life to Christ he says now God says now Escape it leave it and Satan wants you to false teaching keeps you in that corrupted system even though one day you go into heaven Satan still has access to
You because you’re still in that corrupted system this is why people say they gave their life to Christ and they never see change never see transformation never see Deliverance never see watch this never see a new man being revealed because they still in that system so you remain unchanged still Bound By by
Sin untransformed unrenewed broken bitter defeated and carnal and you’re living by that World System you someone someone needs to say man you ain’t living by the same rules you just ain’t you just ain’t you just ain’t operate you’re not operating by the same rules attending church or having please get this attending church
Or having an interest or even enjoyment of religious activity does not deliver you from that system just because you are tolerant of religion and you like religious activity most folks kind of sort of almost enjoy church singing you get to see people and you get to put your clothes on and all
That so just because you do that don’t mean that you’re escaping that system brother Brian is laughing just because you don’t just just because you come and don’t mean just showing up don’t you don’t escape that system a lot of people leave church and go right back to the

Of trophies and a whole bunch of accolades and a whole bunch of plaques atheists can have that unbelievers people that can’t stand God can have that he didn’t he didn’t he didn’t give me divine power to live a secular life and all we do is go to him and we
All we pray about is secular stuff I pray for I pray if you tell me you got a job interview I’m GNA pray for it but watch this I’m going pray that you get the job so you can have you know apparently you’re trying to try to get
It so you can have enough to do what you need to do but also so that you can be fruitful on that job he want you to he want when you when you get the job he wants you to take him on that job a lot
Of people praying for Stuff God give it to him and then we leave him out of it after after after we pray about it then guess what we a tell you what Jesus uh stay back there and I’m G call you if I need
