Hadas Gold embodies the Sigma Kappa value of personal growth through her role as a correspondent for CNN. Currently based in London, her job requires her to stay up to date on European politics, media and global business. She often appears on CNN as a panelist to provide analysis on political issues of the day, and has more than 64,000 followers on Twitter (as of July 2019).

Prior to joining CNN, Hadas spent five years working at POLITICO in Washington, D.C., as a media reporter. During that time, she routinely appeared on MSNBC, FOX and other networks to provide analysis or to moderate live panels. In 2011, she was awarded a fellowship from the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, which sent her to Buenos Aires, Argentina, to report on the people, locally known as the cartoneros, who flooded the city after dark in search of recyclables to sell. Hadas was named one of the”most influential media reporters” by Mediaite in 2017.

She served as president of her Sigma Kappa chapter at The George Washington University, and has remained active as a guest speaker and mentor. While in school, Hadas received the George Washington Presidential Scholarship, the Gridiron Award and the Essary Prize, an award created to honor “a student who has given promise of sound citizenship and ability in forthright reporting.”

Hadas now serves on the national council at The George Washington University School of Media and Public Affairs. The council, comprised of distinguished alumni and friends, works to address issues impacting the growth and development of the school.
