Phi Delta Theta Raises Over 445K this Giving Tuesday, Winning Interfraternal Challenge

In the spirit of generosity and community, organizations worldwide participated in Giving Tuesday, a global initiative encouraging philanthropy and charitable giving. Phi Delta Theta members rallied to compete in the Interfraternal Giving Tuesday Competition for the second year in a row. The Phi Delta Theta Foundation is proud to announce that not only will Phi Delta Theta keep it’s winning trophy from last year’s competition, but that the they achieved new records for Giving Tuesday!

The Interfraternal Giving Tuesday Challenge is a friendly competition between fraternity foundations to see which organization can rally the most engagement and raise the most for its foundation. Phi Delta Theta accepted the challenge, hoping to reclaim victory and make an even larger impact on the brotherhood.

In twelve hours on December 3, 2024, 650 Phi Delta Theta supporters raised a tremendous $445,861, surpassing our goal of $250,000 for the the Phi Delta Theta Foundation.

To put things in perspective, last year was the Foundation’s first time participating in this challenge. Phi Delt nation came together to raise an outstanding $248,317.34. From that win alone, Phi Delta Theta awarded an additional $78,000 in scholarships in 2024 bringing the total to more than $650,000 in scholarships and graduate fellowships awarded.

This year’s competition brought in an additional $200,000 — just think of the impact your support can make for 2025!

Our efforts outshone other prominent fraternities, including PIKE, Sigma Chi, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Alpha Gamma Rho, and others.

This achievement is not just a victory for Phi Delta Theta; it’s a win for the entire fraternity community, as the Giving Tuesday Challenge raised over $1.88 million to support students across various fraternities. The dollars raised during this campaign will help Phi Delta Theta members, allowing the Phi Delta Theta Foundation to continue its mission of awarding $1 million in student grants and scholarships annually.

A victory like the one we experienced on Giving Tuesday embodies our 2030 vision —  to be recognized as North America’s premier fraternal leadership development society. Our brotherhood actively acknowledges this vision and showcases its commitment to this status through philanthropy. Thank you for transmitting the Fraternity greater than it was to you, paving the way for the future of Phi Delta Theta.

This win propels our Foundation forward as we aim to raise $1 million in annual support each year to fund our student brothers’ experience. Your support is still needed to help us meet this goal by the end of the year. If you haven’t supported our mission yet, please consider a donation before December 31.
