College Connections: Some of the first and most consistent champions of Her Sorority Journey have been the women I began my sorority journey with. My Panhellenic advisors left Arizona State around the same time I graduated and, upon finding out about Her Sorority Journey, became her biggest believers. I will never be able to thank them enough for how much their immediate trust and warm introductions to their new communities and longtime colleagues around the country impacted our ability to sustain through the pandemic. Additionally, if you were to scroll back to the first 25 podcast episodes, you will find many of the guests graduated from, worked for, or advised a chapter at Arizona State. I will always cherish these conversations when I look back on how Her Sorority Journey began so organically from lessons I learned alongside my sorority sisters, advisors, and Panhellenic friends. Their stories shared on the podcast remind me of what sisterhood through adversity looks like lived out, some of those memories I relived on the episode and others I heard for the first time. While Her Sorority Journey has grown to be representative of such a large collection of stories, campus cultures, eras, and experiences, these women always remind me how far I’ve come.
Sigma Kappa Supporters: While I LOVE working with all our Panhellenic groups and hearing their positive feedback from the support we offer their chapters, the validation from members of my own organization has always rang the loudest. From advisors I’ve never met sending messages on LinkedIn about how much they loved the most recent podcast episode to my prior boss when I worked for Sigma Kappa validating how perfect of a new adventure this was for me, I have always held the support I’ve received from sisters so close to my heart. My small friend group that formed from my consultant team were some of the first to know about Her Sorority Journey when she was just a concept in January of 2020 and the first to celebrate when I was invited to keynote a national Sigma Kappa event in 2025. After all the hours they have spent listening and validating the highs & lows of this entrepreneurial journey, their pride in the growth of the business and my personal professional development means the most.
Community Cheerleaders: My community in Colorado, many of whom were never in a sorority and are in a variety of careers, have played a huge role in elevating the work we do just by believing in it – truthfully believing in me – even though they don’t always understand the work itself. The foreign vocabulary and sea of acronyms have never stopped them from asking questions, stressing the importance of elevating women in that season of life, and asking how they can support me. The past two years, they have gathered around me to celebrate our anniversary – helping me look back on how far we’ve come and cast vision for what is to come. Their love for me doing this work I love, that sometimes shows up on long walks around a park in our neighborhood, late night kitchen chats, concerts to make sure I’m allowing myself to have fun, or getting up to the mountains for a weekend to recharge, will never not be the greatest gift to me.
Leaders Who’ve Leaned In: Along the way, we’ve collected a beautiful group of women who resonated with Her Sorority Journey so much that they wanted to play an integral role in these conversations that matter. What started as a Summer Internship Program created opportunities for an Executive Assistant Role and recently a Director of Business Development, a Business Administrator, and paid intern roles through the entire academic year. The women who have taken on these positions over the years will always be woven into the fabric of what we do and who we are. From listening to the podcast because her student was a guest to resonating with a TikTok that made her hit “follow” to hearing me speak on their campus, each and every team member of Her Sorority Journey over the past 5 years found us in a unique way but collectively elevated my leadership and Her Sorority Journey’s relevance + impact.
Her Sorority Journey Ambassadors: Every time I get invited to speak on a campus or conference, I get to hear stories of how women connected with Her Sorority Journey: how the message they heard related directly to their experience, how long their recruitment team have used our podcasts as part of their pre-recruitment preparation, how many of our guides had been discussed in exec meetings, or how real a TikTok was that it got shared in the officer group chat. The women I’ve met on the road have confirmed my greatest dream for Her Sorority Journey coming true: women are using the tools we’ve created to help them cultivate confidence & community in their chapters & councils on their own. To everyone of you who have shared something we’ve created for the purpose of cultivating belonging in your sisterhood: we see you, we love you, and you are a part of our sisterhood.
