General Headquarters Reorganizes Fraternity Teams to Better Serve Chapters, Volunteers and Growth Initiatives
Following Dylan Berg’s promotion to chief operating officer on April 28, the Fraternity is pleased to announce that several General Headquarters staff members in chapter support, education, housing, communications, technology, alumni engagement, and events have been reorganized to comprise the newly formed Fraternity Services Department. This new structure provides an integrated, service-minded approach to meeting the evolving needs of Phi Delta Theta’s chapters and volunteers. This reorganization includes expanding front-line assistance to chapters through two new positions including an additional chapter support coordinator for the 2025–26 academic year and a director of chapter experience. Regional assignments for chapter support coordinators will be made at a later date.
As a part of this move, Emily Wolfzorn has been promoted to senior director of chapter support, and Kate Ferguson to senior director of strategic communications to provide greater leadership to their respective departments. Mark Austin has been appointed the new director of chapter experience, helping to assist in strategic support of chapters, education, and resource development.
Through long-term succession planning, leading to the eventual retirement of senior vice president of finance Tom Shumate, who has previously led human resources at General Headquarters, Jim Rosencrans was named vice president of growth and people to lead the brand-new Growth and People Team. This role drives chapter growth and ensures the General Headquarters has the requisite volunteer and staff talent to fulfill the Fraternity’s strategic plan, Phi Delt 2030.
Brian Lyke has been named the director of growth to further support chapter recruitment and expansion. This role includes calendar management, the successful planning and execution of expansion projects, guiding the chartering efforts of emerging chapters, and overseeing the recruitment coaching program through the General Headquarters’ six recruitment specialists.
Additionally, Myra Duritsch has been promoted to senior director of volunteer support and people for Phi Delta Theta General Headquarters. In this role, Myra ensures that local and regional volunteers have the knowledge and tools to successfully engage with and advise their chapters and manage GHQ hiring and onboarding processes.
The General Headquarters is proud to congratulate these individuals to further its mission to ensure Phi Delta Theta members become the greatest version of themselves and to have been recognized as a Great Place to Work® for a third consecutive year with 92 percent of employees believing Phi Delta Theta is a great place to work, compared to the 57 percent average for other US companies.
