New fraternity members at the University of Georgia filled the Tate Student Center Auditorium on Monday, Sept. 15, for a drug awareness program presented by the Jack O’Kelley Foundation, an organization dedicated to educating students about the dangers of illegal drugs.
The evening aimed to confront students with the reality of fentanyl abuse and its presence in counterfeit pills and powders.
At the heart of the program was the story of Jack O’Kelley, a former UGA student who died from fentanyl. The Jack O’Kelley Foundation was created in his memory and aims to save lives through drug education.
