Phi Delta Theta is the lead sponsor of the Inaugural Brotherhood Summit

Phi Delta Theta will serve as the lead sponsor of the Inaugural Brotherhood Summit, taking place this February in Anaheim, California. The Summit will bring together fraternity men from across North America with a shared focus on strengthening mental health support and fostering authentic brotherhood within chapters.

Through this investment, Phi Delta Theta is helping ensure fraternities have the opportunity to learn directly from industry experts, connect with peers from other organizations, and develop strategies to strengthen brotherhood at the chapter level. The sponsorship reflects Phi Delta Theta’s continued commitment to the well-being of college men and reinforces the Fraternity’s leadership role in shaping a healthier, more impactful fraternity experience.

About the Brotherhood Summit

Fraternities foster positive mental health and serve as a success accelerator for students. Yet we also know college men, including fraternity men, still struggle with loneliness, addiction and stress. More than ever, young men need opportunities for connection, support and belonging. Simply put: young men need brotherhood.

Brotherhood is the cornerstone of the fraternity experience. Brothers feel comfortable having tough conversations and learning from each other in large part due to their mutual care and obligation to one another. Fraternity is well positioned to empower students to create a strong support system of brotherhood.

The first of its kind, the Brotherhood Summit will offer space for fraternity men representing various organizations to learn from experts and connect with peers.

Keynote Speaker – Richard Reeves

Richard Reeves is the founding president of the American Institute for Boys and Men (AIBM), which he launched in 2023 to address the challenges facing boys and men through evidence-based research.

His 2022 book, Of Boys and Men: Why the Modern Male Is Struggling, Why It Matters, and What to Do About It, was described as a “landmark” in The New York Times and named a book of the year by both The Economist and The New Yorker. He is a nonresident senior fellow at the Brookings
Institution in Washington, D.C., where he previously directed the Future of the Middle-Class Initiative and the Center on Children and Families.

His current research priorities include the impact and importance of fatherhood and gender gaps in education.

Richard Reeves’s keynote address will set the stage for a dynamic roundtable conversation with national thought leaders committed to men’s growth and belonging.

An exclusive opportunity for Elevating Fraternities Campaign donors, this discussion will explore how brotherhood — across fraternities, teams and communities — remains essential to the development and well-being of young men today. Topics will include:

  • Men’s health and wellness
  • Self confidence
  • Dealing with failure and adversity
  • Dating and romantic relationships
  • Authenticity and vulnerability
