What is your academic background and major? Why did you choose your current major or field of study?
I am a senior, majoring in animal science pre-veterinary medicine. I chose this field because of my passion for medicine, helping others in times of need, and problem-solving. I plan to continue my education at Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine to pursue a career dedicated to improving animal care and advancing veterinary medicine.
How has Phi Delta Theta helped you become the greatest version of yourself?
Phi Delta Theta has helped me grow into a better overall person by strengthening my leadership, critical thinking, and teamwork skills. By working with others and taking on responsibility, I’ve learned to lead with accountability, listen effectively, and collaborate with people with different perspectives. The Fraternity can continue to support my growth by providing opportunities to take on new challenges, mentor others, and further develop my skills as both a leader and a team member. I owe so much to this Fraternity for what it has given me over the years.
Joining a fraternity is a lifelong commitment. How do you plan on keeping Phi Delta Theta in your life after graduation?
I plan to keep Phi Delta Theta in my life after graduation by staying actively involved as an alumnus and giving back in any way I can, whether through mentorship, guidance, or continued support of the Fraternity. I want to help the next generation of members understand the depth and responsibility behind the phrase, “I will strive in all ways to transmit the Fraternity to those who may follow after, not only not less, but greater than it was transmitted to me,” by sharing my experiences of the brotherhood and reinforcing the values that define Phi Delta Theta.
