Really to have you on this broadcast into introduce you to people that’s you know to subscribe but then to also have your people to see you and what we’re going to be talking about in this episode about five minutes Sigma course but a little bit about what you you know

Segment because usually I jump right into the Greek stuff but I do want to let people know the things that you’ve been doing um and the reason why I call you a finessing man but one of the uh movies of shakers of of just promoting and just
Let people know which what do you do man what do you do what don’t you do I should say all right I’m a jack of all trades uh so I uh my love is music and entertainment that’s where it all started you know back in the day I used
To dance with you for you and things of that nature um so so it kind of grew into music I I I love love music so I I created a uh uh a entertainment company called uh MJC Enterprises and I’m an event planner so I plan events basically so I’m the like
Uh the backbone of all of the shows I throw parties um live music events comedy shows I’m the I produce the shows so you know and I just I just I love doing it man I love I love live entertainment and you don’t miss being the first yeah and you’re a
Man behind the scenes as I said before we start recording your pictures everywhere you’re standing next to everyone I mean again as you said a musician I love my music that’s where your realm is man because some of the best artists you have booked and been
Able to book at The Shrine I know I attended a couple concerts where I saw your name and saw your footprint and saw you literally moving around the room but dude I mean what gave you that inspiration to even kind of get into that promotion thing
Well um I was uh managing uh help managing the group called Next Level and I was kind of behind the scenes with that I did that for years and of course you know I used to work for Celia Johnson yes sir Richardson Johnson um so then you know I was like you know
I’m helping other people’s dreams I was like you know what let me go ahead and start you know doing something for myself you know so that’s why I started MJC entertainment but now it’s MJC Enterprises so MJC is just basically my my initials so it’s all about me
So that’s how it came out to be because you know I was kind of the brainchild behind a lot of different things um uh events and things of that nature so I was like you know what let me go ahead put you know put put myself in the
Forefront before a second you know I’m always working behind somebody but I don’t um I I love that experience that I got you know I did that you know I worked with the next level for oh six seven years I worked for Selena for about maybe three or four years so
There’s a lot of a lot of a lot of a lot of learning in that a lot of networking so it helped me start you know get my start with what I was doing so and plus all the College Years and all uh the dancing year and stuff like that so it
Just kind of all combined and I do a lot of people so I was like hey that’s that’s that’s good that’s what I say I’m like man listen you can totally do a podcast you could totally like get into any sort of space that you want because
You have the following bro you certainly have the follower and you know so that’s what got you into that because I always wanted to know that too like what inspired this dude to be you know this great of a business person entrepreneur putting on shows and even you know I’m
Sure people also ask like how do you get these connections how do you get these people there in these rooms and stuff so no that was a question asked but back to the topic at hand man what made you choose far better signal what made you
Join or you wanted to be a member of five better signal for me I told this story many times but for you bro so I so I I you know I went to Chicago State University so at that time uh you know I guess I got out to aab man come on arrogant
So I started in 1997. I know I looked young but I’m old so I started in 1997 man and these these boys man they were they were on point you know saying what I like what I liked about them was they won they ran the yard
Um but two was they were cool and they were you kind of like do you remember Stumpy yard like how they were kind of like you know you know they were really nice Jason they wasn’t real arrogant even though we are arrogant a b which is crazy but they
Were real cool they embraced us you know they what embraced me and like I said we um everybody thought that the basketball player the star basketball players are going to go for the most in the auction and I ended up going for the most in the
Auction they was like oh yeah you go you go be fried you’re gonna be friends so I was like oh wow so after that it took me about two years and then I ended up I ended up joining the fraternity so that was like a real cool because I wasn’t I
Wasn’t humble at first I had to get home yeah hey man should say 97 though did you say 97. I started college in 97 yes yeah and what year did you play Sigma uh 2000 spring of two thousand four twenty six two thousand okay okay yeah
Yeah I mean but still I mean look at this guy I’d be like listen dude but for sure spring lines are definitely popular but what’s most uh important to you about the Brotherhood or what do you love most about the Brotherhood um just just the you know like I said
The inclusively rather than exclusively you know we all are different everybody in Signal we don’t really have that like that stereo type you know I’m saying every week you know we that’s what I love the most and we just seem like we’re the most grounded you know what
I’m saying I mean I love everybody I love everybody I love all the organizations a lot of friends and all of them um but we just seem like we’re the most grounded and we’re the most loving uh we’re the most supportive you know so I think that’s what I like the most about
The class yeah yeah and that was just I’m gonna say that I’m gonna just Echo the same thing man because for me you know with going to school in Arkansas and really coming from Chicago it’s funny because I actually kind of said this a couple of maybe weeks ago at this
Point uh on my Facebook about how like to me Chicago blue and white is super insane super crazy in comparison to other places that I visited but where I first was you know kind of uh approached and learned about Sigma was in Arkansas and for me it was certainly something
New bro I didn’t know anybody like I thought it meant like Obe and I said this and I was like I knew triangle EO and then I saw what it looks like a you know a horseshoe and you know the size it was crazy so uh you know with joining
Sigma for me it was it’s one of like what you said man we were grounded brothers and when I continued to see throughout you know every state and chapter is that where you don’t have to have that stereotype man there’s nothing like being a brother a Firebase signal
And for me I actually even still say that after 16 years man I still pitch myself that I’m a member of this great organization and it include us to our sorrows of Zeta Phi Beta that I think also help particularly for me I think in
This walk of being a sigma where it kind of helped because you know not just that Brotherhood but then you have that immediate Sisterhood nothing’s good like a man and a woman together man yes and so I found this had that right so yeah I
Just want to share that I I I certainly don’t have usually rebuttals in that question and usually blow because we are the member of the same friend I certainly want you know folks to know that that was really my same approach where I looked at those Brothers as
Being really grounded brothers and not have to have any kind of a stereotype put against them yeah yes yes yes and then our chapter it just really go you know what I’m saying I got my brain on my leg shout out to Kashi man I was acting crazy and being a
Hoopla from Pine Bluff and Kashi said well we can give a brand I said well let’s do it Kashi so uh Kashi is some aab history actually literally on your boy uh shout out to I think that’s spring on five or follow five with Calvin line yeah they’re my dudes man
But also I just want to keep going and keep talking about Sigma and keeping it in that regard because when you talk about again Kashi and Calvin shout out to my Bros these people are certainly dope people as well um and I’m saying you wouldn’t give this

Were at that we were at that show and that’s that’s my that’s our stepper repeat that’s my logo and his logo together because we do a lot of shows together and uh man we brought a phenomenal artist here man and man he was it was a very very Dope Show I was
Very excited because it was my first time actually seeing him live uh well we well we did WGN before the day before that show but this is my first time seeing the show live man was singing a Grammy and Grammy Award winner I mean he totally brought the house down it was a

Me and my partner just had a planning meeting uh last week about some things that we want to do we got two different events that we were working on for uh September and the rest of the year kind of bigger events I don’t want to say the
Artist uh it’s going to be a one night only hopefully we can pull it off uh if not we do have a backup plan um so I’m more kind of working on more annual events you know one or two one or two maybe three a year and that’s it uh
And then I’m working on my own venue I want my own events of course you know I can’t well I I work for a couple of nice venues here but I can’t say the name but um you know those experience came from came they were good experiences but it
Came with some some traumatic stuff so I it’s nothing you got to do stuff on your own you got to have your own thing you know what I’m saying so that was that taught me worker behind people got to get your own so I am definitely
Working on that well my own event space yeah yeah for sure so that’s the most important thing for me but the problem is I’m taking my time with it it’s not a rush I don’t even know if I want to do it in Chicago bro to be honest with you
I’m thinking about Dallas that’s what I meant bro and so you know yeah it’s busy and everything listen Portillo’s just opened last week that place is crazy yes in Dallas so Portillo’s is here listen let me tell you it’s it’s a lot of opportunity so yeah but whatever it is
I’m gonna be watching can I can I say something you can definitely do it I’m sorry since you said Dallas my best friend’s in Dallas Leah uh she’s probably gonna be watching this too she just lost her grandfather yesterday so she’s in Dallas so you know love you you
Know stay strong my condolences and you know she’s she would say I just talked to her yesterday she was taking it really really bad so I talked to her and you know hopefully she’s you know she take one day at a time and we’ll get through this together you know I’ll be

Their parent and I guess I guess it’s a matter which paternal or maternal grandparent and gets involved in your life and you feel that way but no I honest I’m certainly seeing my condolences uh to you uh as I understand and lost a grandfather know how you know
Important and how that felt because he was very important in my life so for sure for sure bro but you got to come back man you got to co-host with me you got to come back and definitely talk about the MJC brand and Enterprise you know and what you’re doing with that and
