Fall 2014 and fall 2015 membership groups these current members are present in the financial management Association the Morgan State football team the National Society of Negro women’s royal court Morgan State University band the National Society of black engineers and more the brothers currently on the yard have done their due diligence to push
The brand and the impact of iota to new heights over the past year and the production seems to speak for itself for instance we have completed over 1500 community service hours achieved one of the highest academic averages amongst all organizations on campus and more in the hopes of promoting a positive change
On campus which the chapter has been known for since its inception the events that we have hosted for student body are of the utmost quality and substance and usually provide the campus and the community with a perspective on issues that are integral to our existence as black students
Issues which often be overshadowed and discussed less than they ought to be for instance we have had the honor to provide forms featuring some of the most dynamic speakers to grace the campus in the past few years including the Honorable Chief Robert judge Bell Chief Judge of the Maryland Court of Appeals
Retired Marilyn Mosby Baltimore city state’s attorney senator Catherine Pugh and Joan Pratt Baltimore City Comptroller we even managed to partner with several community organizations in Baltimore to host a mayoral Town Hall and Murphy Fine Arts which was met with resounding acclaim we put together our own career fair which provided students
The chance to interact with top companies such as Goldman Sachs JP Morgan Chase Google and more in February we revisited our award-winning Black History Month series the african-american journal project by hosting a month’s worth of forms dedicated to topics impacting the black community specifically which is a needed
Initiative at an esteemed HBCU such as Morgan in short the quality of events which we have been able to put forward is a testament to our desire to positively impact the campus and the community as a whole through it all we believe we have pushed the standard of Morgan State
Student organizations to a level which demands the best out of its members we believe that we follow in the footsteps of our founders as we continue to raise the bar for the campus and we are proud and humbled to have the opportunity to serve the community in so many ways we
