Welcome to the University of North Texas we are so glad that you’re interested in attending I want to let you know about the opportunities that await you in fraternity and sorority life. Our Greek life is comprised of four councils there were 40 different chapters that are social and value-based fraternities and
Sororities each council and chapter is an unique part of our community. These are men and women only organizations that all have the same four pillars leadership, academic success, service and brotherhood or sisterhood. Though all of our 40-plus organizations all have different purposes and were founded
Different reasons these four pillars connect them to each other our members are involved in leadership positions across campus including organizations like NT40, UNT Athletics, Student Government Association, intramurals, Emerald Eagle Scholars, Young Life, RHA club sports, UPC, homecoming crew, and professional and honoring organizations
CFSL men and women are very active and engaged on campus and are often involved in the leadership of other student organizations. the all-Greek GPA is regularly higher than all undergraduate GPA each chapter has different requirements to become a member, remain a member, and run for officer
Positions to ensure that their members can reach these requirements they have scholarship programs in place such as study hours and organizing study groups for similar majors most CFSL chapters and councils have local or national scholarships to help their students succeed each chapter raises
Monies for organizations all over the nation and within the Denton area they have donation drives for school supplies, food, clothing and pet supplies they also sponsor blood drives bone marrow straightens and CPR trainings many of the service hours completed by our members are for serving the local
UNT and Denton community such as the UNT food pantry Martin Luther King jr. recreational center in the Denton Animal Shelter many of our members participate in alternative service breaks and Eaglethon which is sponsored by the Center for leadership and service the reason many
