College students and to further their economic cultural and spiritual progress within the community so these associations these organizations these orders were were established in the early 1900’s and they they’re designed to to reach out to college students – to unite college students for their for the college students progress and
Furtherance and advantage so they would then seem like very very good organizations and if you’re a part of one of these orders it would seem like it’s to your advantage that you are you’re an alpha kappa alpha and alpha file delta sigma theta beta 5 beta iota Phi

Divine nine because these orders if you’ll notice the cross here these orders are said to have been established on biblical principles so these organizations these black Greek fraternities are said to have begun with people who believed in the basic tenets of Christianity so you’ll find these organizations in
Churches you’ll find many of the churches the black churches in particular you’ll the historically black congregations you’ll find these organizations celebrated supported in the church because of the the people that are in positions of leadership having gone off to college and having pledged into these organizations so this title Devine
Nine divine being a reference to god or gods but let’s just say god this title being a reference to god stating that these orders are also associated with God and that people in their orders are therefore depending on the person’s preference obviously but the people in the orders are also associated with God
They’re part of a an organization that again was supposedly founded on Biblical principles and so you’ll have pastors deaconesses deacons elders church mothers youth ministers choir directors choir members trustees you’ll have people that have been a part of the church for a long time who are also a
Part of these orders okay so the question is is this something that God would want us to do do you think that this is something that God want us to do and we’re going we’re going to examine that based on God’s very word is was it
A good idea is it a good idea to associate with these groups and to perhaps celebrate their culture in church is it okay to encourage your children to become a part of these organizations is it okay for you to become a part of these organizations if
You go to a church where the pastor is a part of these organizations is that okay should so the churches celebrate these these orders should they should they accept people within their leadership that are a part of these orders that would do these particular cultural things in church is that okay well you
Send your college student offer you go off to college and as you do you go off to college you go there to meet people to grow socially academically and if you are a person who wants to spend forever with God hopefully while you’re school you’ll survive spiritually and
You become a part of these different orders especially when they’re telling you that they’ve been founded on Biblical principles and once you do you become you become introduced to their symbolism you become introduced to their history to their founders who they were what their ideals were and you’ll notice
Quickly that the attraction that these orders have is that they’ll they’ll better your chances of economic social advantage so you if you’re a part of one of these orders and you have it on your resume then you’re likely to you’re you’re more likely rather to get a job
Or a scholarship than if you were not a part of any of these orders okay so being a part of these orders does open doors or can at least open doors for you when it comes to job placement or or or any type of social or economic or or a
Community-based positioning this helps you with positioning so you’re willing to submit to their culture where their paraphernalia and submit to their practices because you know it’s going to benefit you on a financial level or it likely would benefit you financially and socially one of the problems is and the
Fundamental issue with these orders is that they not only encourage you to to to sin meaning they encourage you to do things to act a certain way in the process of either becoming one or after you’ve become one after you’ve become a member there are things that during the
Process or as a member that you’ll do that God despises so there there’s the branding of the skin that many people in these groups undertake or or or get they get branded and like animals do they get branded they do that why do they do that we’ll talk about
That but they get branded they dress certain ways during these shows the probate shows on the college campuses oftentimes or in the communities they they they allow the organization to strip them of their identity and they become a number or they become a name or

A lot of activity that is clearly against the nature of the Lord Jesus Christ now the question is why would you allow someone to encourage you to behave this way publicly why would you allow someone to use a hot metal rod or an iron or a shaped iron why would you
Allow someone to burn your skin in this way well supposedly your association it connects you with people it enjoys you it yokes you with people that are popular if you want to be popular in this world depending on what you want to do then there are certain associations
That you’re encouraged to have and with those associations that you see I was doing that with those associations it’ll better position you supposedly for control and advantage financial you want to be in a position to meet the president like these these Sigma’s are or five I don’t know what they call
These guys but that’s five at a sigma there that’s their hand gesture there you want to be in position to meet the president or it to be the president you want to be in position to meet celebrities that are that have been a part of your groups
Like the Omegas you want to be in position to represent your culture as an African American is a black American you want to represent that and and and you want to show that you are smart that you’re not that that you’re you’re you strong that you’re capable that you’re
Skilled these organizations they they encourage you to join to commit to them to pledge your allegiance to them so that they can move you forward because otherwise you’re not likely to move forward according to them and it’s not that they necessarily say that they are X well they do describe themselves as
Exclusive in their ability to help you move forward but that’s the part of what we’ll be getting into so people will become a part of these orders and will subject themselves to mistreatment to abuse to various cultural things that God would not want you to be subjected to these organizations even encourage
You to do it or support the doing of it or ignore the behaving ignore the consistent aspects of its organization they ignore the fact that this is going on even though supposedly it’s illegal for for them to do as a member they know that it’s going on throughout the
Nation’s colleges on on their campuses they know that these things are going on why would they put you if you’re a believer if you want to spend forever with God and if you if you want to become a part of an organization that supposedly is founded on Biblical
Principles meaning God’s Word why would you then position yourself to behave this way to be treated this way by the order it’s because of what we’re going to discuss which is we’re going to discuss how people are willing to do bad things to please others so that the others accept them
Because if they’re accepted then they’ll be promoted in this world in job there’s a young man speaking to job and his friends and this young man is trying to position himself to talk to these elders knowing that he is at a disadvantage and he states that he’s aware that he’s
Expected to give flattering titles to them but he says he can’t let’s examine that let me not I pray you accept any man’s person meaning please don’t expect me to hide the truth from you simply because you’re an elder please don’t expect me to approve of what you’re saying simply

Socially but what they’re not telling you is that they’re getting you to do things they’re subjecting you to various kinds of abuse physical mental spiritual abuse they’re positioning you to be in trouble with God and they’re saying that if you don’t submit to this process if you don’t show loyalty if you don’t
Submit to this process then they’re not going to embrace you and you say well my chapter my particular group didn’t do these things but you’re still a part of the parent organization you still a part of the of the organization that puts people in position to behave
This way that every year on a variety of these school campuses these social orders with religious syncretism which is a blending of religion these orders are putting people who supposedly want to please God into positions within God’s house to act in ways in the house of God that contradict the very nature
Of God which is not to celebrate people simply because of how these people can move us forward in society so he says if we celebrate people simply because of how it would benefit us then we’re going to be cut off and we don’t have God’s love in our hearts now that’s a severe
Indictment and you may say well I love God and my order we they helped me grow in God maybe there’s somebody who’s a part of the organization who is who’s who’s knows the Bible or prays really well and and his hand is helping you get further in your relationship with God in
Reference to those things but how often does a man have to punch his wife to be considered a bad husband or how often does he have to take another woman’s number and attempt to call it within a year’s time or within a marriage within a marriage how often does a man have to

If they promote us for having done bad things and if we treat them nicely simply because they can promote us for doing things we shouldn’t be doing then we don’t have God’s love in our hearts he said how can you believe which receive honor one of another so they
Receive honor of others like them people who are ungodly they receive honor from them they like the promotion these orders give them they like the status that they can obtain you might like that but does God like that for you or does God want you to disconnect from it the
Spirit of God loves you and wants you to break fellowship with these orders these orders are not of God these orders are controlled by spirits the spirits are controlling the people who are designing and incorporating these symbols into their groups there is a spiritual and a religious heritage that these groups
Have blended with some good and mostly evil okay whether it’s Egyptian or greco-roman or whatever else it is the Holy Spirit knows that the spirit on these organizations is motivating people to behave in ways that they should not this is common Greek cult great Greek cult this is our this is

Pledge your association your allegiance to these orders you are socially you’re spiritually connected to what the organization’s promote and to everyone in that organization these are your brothers and your sisters in the same way that Jesus said that those who do the will of my father
