This summer, four members of the Kappa Delta executive council at the University of Georgia attended the 65th Biennial Kappa Delta National Convention held in National Harbor, Maryland. At this convention, the chapter was given three awards. These included the House Corporation Award of Excellence, the Collegiate Chapter Achievement Award and the Academic Excellence Award.

President Madeline Kerestman, Vice President Abbey Crowther, Vice President Inclusion Lily Athey and Vice President Learning and Development Sarah Jane Halyak attended the convention on behalf of the chapter.

The criteria of the awards can be found below:

· Academic Excellence Award: Recognizes chapters that equal or exceed the all-women’s average (AWA) on their campuses and rank first or second in the Panhellenic ranking for three or more terms during the biennium. For campuses not releasing a ranking or AWA, general academic performance will be evaluated.

· House Corporation Award of Excellence: This award is given to the house corporation that shows the greatest improvement in these areas – Transparency, Safety, Competitiveness, Policy, Supporting the Member Experience, and COVID-19 Preparedness.

· Achievement Award: (First presented in 1963.) Presented to those chapters in the top 10 percent of Nautilus Chapter Development Program scores following the Merit Award category, which also meet the following criteria:

1. Pledges to quota and reaches Panhellenic total during the biennium.

2. Maintains financial good standing with headquarters.

3. Maintains a financial bad standing percentage below 20 percent for the biennium, excluding the months of March-July 2020.

4. Remains current on any loans from the Chapter House Fund.

5. Participates in Kappa Delta’s member education programs and the Nautilus Chapter Development Program, excluding the NCDP 2020 action plan.

6. Has not been on national probation or restricted status with national Kappa Delta, or on a sanction with the university, during the biennium.

Congratulations to Kappa Delta on these achievements!
