I am happy that you have decided to join and you were welcomed into the fold of whatever organization and I just want to give you some tips so you these are general tips over the divine 9 this is nothing specific to any org it’s just
All um all of so I’ve been a member for about 10 years now and this is my shirt I am follow 8 yes but any who would is saying about me and if you don’t know I am a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated and I love my organization
What you’re saying about me just about job so I’m gonna give you all 5 quick tips get you in and out and that’s how we do here so tip number one update your gear yearly so that would be some times where your stuff will start getting hoes
Um you know overstretched worn out you need to update your gear yearly do not be walking around with no bogus o para on because you do not want to be talked about and you might be pressing like I don’t care people talk about me that’s cool but they gonna be talking about you
And your org so please don’t have people thinking bad about you org just because you know you decided well I’m gonna get another month’s use out of this shirt toss it boo boo if it’s about that time let it go and this is tip number two which goes right along with tip number
One um if you can’t afford to buy new stuff all the time just get one item at a time don’t feel like you have to buy all this stuff at the same time cuz you know what you’re gonna be broke and guess what it costs a lot to be Greek
And you will be finding it out soon it’s very expensive this lifestyle is not for the faint at heart so do not be out here ban all the stuff up if you know you can’t afford it get one item at a time like make sure it’s at a point that
You’re able to maintain it versus now you’re overwhelmed and you’re broke don’t do it tip number three as young as you are in your org I implore you to quickly go to as many conferences go to many as many certifications trainings as you can as
Soon as you can so you can ah call it out the way and if you decide you wanna run for office you got all your credentials it is so much easier to get all that stuff out the way and figure out how your organization works then figuring out the organization but there
Now you do want to run for something but you ain’t got the credentials behind you get those credentials as soon as you are able to tip number four it is okay for you to lean on the shield and ask questions like if you’re not knowing what’s going on don’t be afraid to be
Like a big sis hey big bro you know talk to your pro fights talk to your chapter members talk to your you know sores and frets and find out the things you need to find out don’t feel like you can’t ask any questions because again a closed
Mouth does not get fit and now you up here mad cuz you like oh nobody helped me you only gonna get what you put in like that’s all you gonna do is you get out what you put in so get ahead of it if you see something you don’t know what’s
Going on when in doubt ask a big sis or a big bro and this is gonna be the last tip like again I was saying I’m not gonna keep you long and but this is the most important don’t forget who you are just because you became Greek does not
Mean you need to be this whole totally different person you need to figure out what life is no boom no don’t feel like you have to become that Greek you don’t want to be caught up in a Greek matrix and that is all that you’re thinking about like
That’s all you’re focused on it’s being great being great being Greek be you being Greek being in a black Greek led organization should just be something that’s added on to you it’s not what makes you or who you are don’t be that Greek don’t get locked in to the Greek matrix
