Hey everyone welcome back to my channel we are going to talk about the Graduate intake process today I’ve had a few people ask me about Graduate intake and what’s the difference between graduate intake and undergraduate intake so I thought I would make a little video to explain things and make it easier for
You now mind you I can basically only explain the process from a sigma camera perspective but i did do some research and i can tell you some details about the other divide night sororities as well so let’s you so I have not served a member of the graduate intake process
However I have been around while it’s been going on so I picked up on a few things so from my experience when you’re trying to join on the graduate level you can join in one of two ways you can join by obtaining a four-year bachelor’s degree or if you’re trying to join at
The undergraduate level but the undergraduate school that you’re attending doesn’t have an organization on campus you can join under the graduate program and be considered a regional member I will look into that though because different rules apply to different organizations but I know from my sorority if you’re trying to join at
The undergraduate level and there’s not an undergraduate chapter where you are you can join under the Alumni chapter to be a part of the organization that way you would be considered a regional member and then once you’ve graduate you can transfer over to the graduate level
Membership so how do you become a member or how does the process work so for some people I know before I know that for acqua Kappa Alpha and possibly Delta Sigma Theta you have to have an invitation in order to join so you’d have to know someone who knows someone
Or someone would have to know you in order for you to receive an invitation to join force in the Gamma Rho you do not have to have a invitation so to speak to become a member you could reach out to our membership chair on the graduate level and seek membership that
Way for most organizations they all have an intake process that the timeframe it varies between different organizations but do expect to have an intake process that’s similar to the undergraduate intake process the time that it takes in order to complete it varies by organization like I said but you can
Have the same process as you would in undergrad when dealing with the actual intake process like the application and everything is very similar to undergrad you’re going to have to apply you’re going to get an interview you’re going to have to submit a letter I’m sure very similar to undergrad and the timeframe
Varies between organizations as well with the new member presentation that also varies by organization and by which you join as well from my experience at non the past video I said that we do not have or I wasn’t sure if we had any member presentations and I actually
Found out through my graduate chapter because I witnessed it we do have membership presentations I want to say that it depends on the group of women coming in with whether or not they want to have a presentation or not but that’s something that I feel like
Everyone would want to do so you can certainly have a new member presentation with your organization and with your perspective we call it with your prospective new inductee sisters so that would be an option for you as well I do have some videos with the Graduate chapter a new member presentations I’ll
