Okay this chair so squeaky so guys we’re back with another video and this is a video about why I joined Yoda Phi Theta fraternity incorporated if you guys didn’t know I am in a frat I notified the fraternity incorporated part of the National pan-hellenic Council so coming
To college I was very open to Greek life I knew about it but I didn’t know that much about it my mother’s Attell so my brother is a sigma and the rest of my family are alphas and aks and I do have an S Shiro
And a Kappa on my other side of the family so it was very I was very open to Greek life coming to college coming to college after my first semester you know I made I mean about a 3/8 and then third semester made a three seven three six so
I am like a three second GPA going as my sophomore year of college so I was pretty much open at the University of Kentucky we had this class that you have to attend called Greek 101 Greek 101 is where you watch sororities and fraternities present their organizations
They separated the guys and the girls at this time the whole structure has changed since I’ve been at UK so this is my freshman year I’m a junior now so they’ve separate the guys and girls and the girls would attend their separate meeting where they would meet the
Sororities and the cosmic meet the fraternities and we would go in this big classroom building each fraternity would present I would say when I attended this meeting my friends was probably the best position and well-organized and most business professional when you’re handling this they’re down
To earth was still at the same time so professional of what they did the other frats I would say another friend did very well and then other three they were so far I’m not going to put anybody’s fraternity on blast or put slander their aim or anything so we’re just going to
Leave it at that and believe that better because you know we’re not about to have no drama on this channel this is not to be a drama-free channel okay okay we’re gonna leave it at that so then after that you know I kept that in the back of
My head but I never really paid attention like to anything else Greek other than that so I did go to a probate the Q’s probate that prior semester so it was like oh cool this might a second ever probate going to because I did go to my brother’s
Probate when he was in college he went to Fort Valley State he’s a sigma so that was that so um later that semester this is in the spring where they did all their stuff and I did go to the Delta probate because you know my mom is a
Delta so I needed to go watch them this so fast forward to the spring semester watch I’m talking about which Greek 101 occurred in I forgot about everything so my friend who was online I didn’t know he was online well let’s not use online let’s use using them through his intake process
For Sigma Phi Beta Sigma fraternity incorporated he told me about the informational that the I owners were having so I was like okay cool want to go check it out I have nothing else to do I know that sounds so bad but it’s the truth I had
Nothing else to do so sorry I had to switch the chairs the other chair was like really squeaky and it was not it was not it was not working out so I went to the informational immediately as soon as I got in I clicked with all the other
Guys I would say or multiple guys there two of them would end up being my line others and my other line brother I don’t know where he shows his interest in that semester but will will not talk about that so then we get they start telling us a little bit more about the
Fraternity with their goals or community service initiatives everything just more about the fraternity I really loved the down-to-earth Ness and the gist professionalism they had and it was really great and you know it’s actually really hot and this but I’m wearing it because I didn’t want to wear a hat so
I’m going to try to speed this along so they’re just very professional they brought an alumni who was any nearer and at the time I was studying engineering so it really helped me out it really helped me determine hey there alumni who actually are in the fields that we read
My lb there’s a alumni that majored in journalism and not me own he’s a editor and newspaper in New Jersey nope Maryland so it’s great so we have we had they have all these alumni laugh connections from just being charters 2007 all these different alumni and is
So great so the informational ended I got to meet people when I gave him my number and I never thought too much about it after that I was like okay I’m very hard to impress if you know me so fast forward to about two weeks I get a
Call and it says hey you want to come with us to this stroll off at Kentucky State so I was like hey as two hours away I’ve never been I missed our way I’ve never been Kentucky State so let me just go see what this is about the guys
Picked me up you know they have to they took me out they paid for my ticket and everything and it was just they stepped out of their way to show me they really cared about me you know they we have this thing about my fraternity you treat everyone the same you know at
The end of the day we’re all in these fraternities for a reason you know we’re not going to treat the alphas accused of Sigma’s the Kappas different you know because we’re all trying to push one goal for unity and just allowing the being and making a difference in the
Community so it was really great that they showed me that so going fast forwarding to the summer well before the summer that I have them community service I really enjoyed that because you can tell when someone’s like taking something for somebody and when they are actually genuinely care about the
Product that they’re producing so like the amount of community service and the work that they put in in that community service the Ionis were just top-notch it was lighting it was like wow this is really genuine so fast forward to the semester go through an interview go
