Tick Tock I was just like oh my gosh and I hadn’t seen you for like such a long time so you know I was even like oh my gosh and listening to your testimony I was so touched and I was just like oh my
Gosh like I have to talk to you I just don’t know why but I just felt in my spirit to be like no I need to reach out to you and I think that’s when I contacted you to be like would you be interested like in having a conversation
With me and when you said yes I’m not even gonna lie I went nuts I was like what Okay cool so let’s do this so um your story is is is is so unique uh you know in such a way that you spoke about how you became a sangoma and your
Journey um into that and when I saw your testimony you were sharing about how now you’re resigning so I just quickly want you to tell us um who you are I don’t wanna you know take your child or anything but I want you to speak and
Tell us who is tabi so you know how did you grow up you know because people may know you as usamo from Generations I believe so I just want to give you that opportunity just to tell us who tabiso is you know just a background of
Who you are how you grow up you know to become this amazing man that you are today wow first of all thank you so much I have to acknowledge the shine that you’ve brought to me and I really appreciate that and to answer your question before anything else I’m God’s son
That’s my title that’s how I identify I’m a father of three um I come from a family of seven my mom my dad my two brothers I’m the middle child and my grandmother and I was also living with my aunt and my uncle in the same
House I grew up in Rockville Soweto okay and uh all the people that I’ve mentioned that I lived with in one house have passed away and gone home to be with God I’m so sorry yeah thank you for that but the Lord heals absolutely absolutely you know what I mean yes but
There was a time when I didn’t understand that it was a time when I was just locked in the grave but before we get to that I grew up in a loving home um I went to good schools because my parents invested in my education we were
Not rich but the Lord afforded us the ability to cause good schools so shout out to your parents oh man even today is paying dividends you don’t give our parents enough credits but they’ve really sacrificed a lot for us so true story true story um I was always a happy child always a
Naughty child very inquisitive I can’t imagine I’m in creative and my father was an actor wow now that is interesting yeah so that’s where I get it from it’s a gift it was passed down wow uh but then he quit acting because at that time it
Wasn’t paying as well as it does now and he said shout out to our parents I really want to build up my dad you know Mr mohiti in absence you know because Obama when he saw that acting wasn’t working for him he quit it and upgraded his studies and then went into banking
And that’s why he was able to buy the house as a Sprint View and move us from Soweto you know and just keep on improving Our Lives until he passed away and um there was a period after Bobby shonile that we became poor because my mom was a stay-at-home mom and she
Became very depressed because they were very close so it left Mom myself and my two brothers my older brother was Pacific was studying law at that time and I think he was in his second year when Obama passed away sepo was in high school and then I was studying public
Relations at Ritz but I was so naughty I think it was he just couldn’t concentrate in class no because I wanted to be out the class okay what happened is I saw that my mom is depressed yes and I was afraid I was going to lose her because we were so
Fresh off losing Obama so even though I wasn’t as as strong as I am now in in my relationship with Christ absolutely I prayed and asked him I was Lord we can’t afford to lose mom help me in order to help the family and at that time the fees were also I
Couldn’t afford the fees so I’m like you know what was in high school anyway and that’s when I was like what can I do with my life and the Lord saved me from a life of drugs because when I was a teenager I started experimenting with drugs in
These good schools that my parents had taken me to um that’s toilet mixed in with the wrong crowd the wrong crowds yeah and then eventually I became addicted but there’s a time when I sat with my friends and we were in this house that we used to do drugs in it’s an abandoned
House and we were using it in the township to go there and smoke weed and do all these things and one day I was sitting with my friends and we were doing a gang of drugs but for some reason but I mean I just couldn’t get high on that day wow
And then the first time I had a calling of the Holy Spirit was in that dirty environment wow because I heard what today I understand is the word the voice of God and he said to me tell you so with everything I’ve given you is this
What you are choosing to do with your life I remember looking around who is that yeah and it was quiet and my friends kept on doing their things and I was with them too and then that voice came again and said I have blessed you
Is this the life that you choose to live and then it said come home and then I thought okay you know what I’m going a bit crazy I went home and when I opened the door my mom wasn’t asleep she was waiting for me this is like quarter to 12. you know
Yeah and she’s sitting on the couch me now because she looked me straight in the eye like you told me yeah and she said chubby so are you on drugs I wanted to lie yeah and then as any childhood by the way yeah and then I heard this voice
Though you know what it said it said tell the truth the truth will set you free and I then discovered later that’s a verse from the Bible but I didn’t know it then and I believe that thing because I was I was a slave to these drugs I was
A slave to this lifestyle that the enemy had put me in and that I had found myself into making wrong choices and I wanted out and how good is God that he can still speak to you even in that situation that you were in you know in
The like the deep hit of it how good is god wow um I said yes Mom you know and she cried stood up and called my aunt who’s a social worker Andrews um they then booked me into a rehab center to go for an interview the next
Day I went into the rehab center at Sanko Horizon I met a lady by the name of Kathy Voss Kathy was the director of Santa Horizon at the time and She interviewed me and when she was done she called my mom in and told her that look
Mrs it’s clear you guys can’t afford to be here but I’m willing to give tabiso a free stay because I see something special in him and she looked at me and said tabiso if you apply yourself to this program you’ll become one of the greatest people the country has ever met
But if you choose to carry on in your ways you’ll become a menace to society so stay here and my advice to you is apply yourself and let God transform you those words stay with me absolutely because I felt rejected yes I felt down and out and in fact I felt suicidal as
Well the only reason I didn’t commit suicide is because you know there was always a relationship with me and God even though I hadn’t strengthened it you know what I mean and you know hearing you say that you know I also feel like we sort of underestimate
How God can use people because the fact that that lady spoke those words to You and gave you an opportunity to change your life yes that was God using her you know so God is still giving you a chance to turn your life around and it’s up to
You whether or not to take that opportunity that’s the thing yes so with those two choices laid before me and the fact that I could see the pain I had caused my mind I mean so she had just lost the love of your life and now here’s her son that she had precious
Dreams about and he said the total opposite then I was like absolutely I applied myself to the program and then during the program um preachers would come to the center Mondays and Wednesdays and one day we were in this sermon and the preacher said the Holy Spirit tells me that
There’s somebody here who’s of a different religion because at that time I was actually a practicing Muslim oh okay because my late grandmother was a Muslim oh okay and so as a family we just followed her as a matriarch um and then he said you are a slave to
Drugs but God says I must announce to you that you are a king wow he said that you were in pain because you were poor but God says that when you come close to him you will realize that the streets of Heaven are paved in gold and he’s
Willing to shake the silver and gold of Heaven unto your feet as you walk with him he said you’ve been praying for death but God says I must announce to you that Christ has come so that you may have life and have it more abundantly
He then proceeded to say I’m going to do an outer call but I know which is because of you being so cool and you being so of another religion you’re not gonna come so I’m Gonna Leave the Bible here on the outer And when everybody is gone take this Bible
And then he said I’m going to lead other people into the the the Prayer of Salvation memorize it so that at night you may call God wow I knew he was talking to me but I had doubts the problem is then we carry on to our programs
And then the holy spirit says to me later the same voice that had said the truth will set you free nudges me and says hey go get your Bible I’m like there is no way some show me but then I follow the voice yes and look
Behold the Bible is on the outer wow I take the Bible I hide it under my pillow and then I carry on with the day’s progress at night when everybody else is asleep I couldn’t fall asleep and then that same voice said to me okay pray the
Sinner’s prayer now ask God to come in your heart and then I said Lord yeah I need you the man of God said that you will save me yes I’ve tried everything yes to tell you the truth I’m giving you a chance I’m trying you now coming to my
Heart please I do believe you can save me yes but I want you to show me I need to feel you and I prayed and then I fell into a deep sleep when I woke up the next day I felt peace that I hadn’t felt in a
Long time I stayed in the rehab center and then the Lord said write down your trees what are you gonna do when you leave this place I told him I want to act I want to build a family I want I want to be clean like I wrote down a
List of things and um rehab you will be a changed man but you’ll be going back to the same Community the same friends the same yeah it’s the same environment and everything yeah but the difference is you now walk in with a solution wow I am that
Solution wow so as you hold on to me I’ll show you where to go and how to walk and all these things you’ve written down here I will make them come to pass wow I had hope now and I went afterwards who had been my father’s agent in the
Pastoring by the way yeah like your mom little I want to do this thing my mama’s struggling at home and as you know Baba I said help me act yes and then she gave me the numbers I went to G3 and that the cheetah rejected me the
First time I went there I went back home I cried I’m like Lord what is this and then he said to me son you need to believe in what I’ve told you and don’t give up when you hit one stumbling block yeah he said call those things that are
Not as if they are absolutely he said the power of life and death is in your time so Speak Life and then I looked I had to study people on TV guys like did not do my mother’s chest nothing Denzel Washington the people the people have
Made it yeah and I was like what is it about them yes and I saw it with their clean on the inside absolutely presentable presentable yeah take care of them they’re confident you know what I mean yeah and then I I took care of myself spiritually went to church I
Started studying the Arts but I couldn’t afford to do it professionally so I was researching okay I was taking care of my body yeah and I went back a few months later they loved me they’re like oh you’ve got the extra wow I looked at them like I’m the same guy you already
Look at god um fast forward I started more the feedback was good and my agent then started sending me for adverts I auditioned I started lending a lot of ads I did Brands like iwiza church was still around at that time those are big Brands by the way yeah KFC Lotto Sports
Wow and one of the casting directors called Eloise who was my agent he said Louise you all are wasting Kevin they called my other name is Kevin oh you all are wasting him on ads send him for bigger auditions to present and to act Eloise Botha I thank the Lord for her
She heard it and sent me without any training I was just going on confidence and knowing has destined me for this plus the fact that I needed to put food yes absolutely yeah and then I got a row gutabang tabong as a presenter and a puppeteer I thank God for that role
Because the Lord allowed me to play again yeah because my childhood was stolen you know when I was locked in that that slavery of drugs yeah and then after tabang tabong I got Generations wow and then I became a household name Generations are supposed to have a three-month contract wow with a three
Months trial as well so all together was six months and generations must have been a very big gig for you because I mean like we all watch Generations like we knew eight o’clock I know you must be at home listen like it’s a must like even your own parents would be like hey
Baba you know keep quiet it’s time you know and I must say you you very talented like thank you so much honestly honestly like I would watch Generations sometimes just for us Sharon because wow that couple the chemistry your head it was just like hey guys I wanna grow up
And be like this relationship to be like man come on really honestly you’re gifted I’m just gonna tell you that you are so gifted wow let me tell you how I made it this generation yes another side testimony so I was now working as Kevin doing crafts
Program yes and then they came asking us to be extras for a shoot on Generations at that time I had already told the Lord that I want to be a lead on generations and so I didn’t sign on to be an extra and then Siam who was the casting
Director saw that I wasn’t signing my name there and she said to me hey so why aren’t you signing I don’t know that’s because I’m gonna come to Generations as a lead and not as an expert she looked at me like I am so full of myself right
But I stood by my word absolutely I was already confessing yes and you were confident in that word that God told you believe yeah yes see this thing of of compromising because things are taken I’m not working listen wait listen everybody out there absolutely because things when they come you know it they
Might not always come in the way that you want but at the time that you want but trust the process why because God is more in the process than it is in the promise so that’s a lesson that is a lesson to somebody out there to continue
Sorry so I waited on the Lord and a few months later um I was I was going to make a call yes and then siamo met me in the passages of the sabc and then she said hey aren’t you the guy that said you want to be
Lead I said not wanna I’m gonna she said all my words follow me with politicians come get us out I followed her took the script and then money I was like Ace this absolutely so yeah I studied that I studied it and I came for the audition I knew that bro was going
To be mine in fact I told Umama before the audition and Mom I’m gonna be on Generations they called me back for another act and I was now auditioning with Sonia because they wanted to see the chemistry Sonia Bella who played the zombie and from the moment Sonia and I
Met there was just this connection that yes and even as we were playing the scene I remember even touching her which was not in the in the spring in the script yeah but I knew which I need to play nuances that show Brotherhood absolutely and that’s important I
Believe in like acting and all that yeah you you the emotional the emotional stuff yes the script is written down yes but your interpretation of it is what’s important yeah it was so well done by both of us like when they said cat Sonia was like oh my word you are Samuel I
Promise you I want to see you on set wow two weeks later I get a call it’s um see I’m working the casting agent and she’s like um oh I’m so sorry then I’m like she’s like your life is about good it’s about to change
Wow yeah I got that and for six years I stayed on Generations that is amazing it was a wonderful time the writers loved how I was interpreting this thing that they had written down he loved you thank you you’re at home like dude we loved you here the directors were happy that I
Could take Direction and yet still leave room for spontaneity and absolutely and the spark of myself in it and then as you say the audience received him very well we definitely and so yeah that six-month contract became a six-year contract and I grew with Fame I grew
With the ability to take care of my family and life was beautiful life changed life changed it really did yeah you know and then the sad thing about it is I then started having my identity in the money I was making because I was driving the lifestyle the lifestyle yes and then I
Forgot the provider you see there’s a problem when you are focusing on the blessings more than the original blessings you feel what I’m saying and the Lord allowed oh waiting so that I may gain a relationship with him but I didn’t see it like that at
That time I became bitter with the Lord on some dude I was poor before one doing so mountain and how did life change I mean after you know that contract ended because like I said it must have been a very big gig for you yeah so how did life change for
You after that you know what happened the events that you know you mean after hours after I lost after you lost it now yes number one like I said because my my faith and my sense of self-worth yes was now in the cause I was driving and the
Lifestyle I was living I became ashamed I felt like a failure I thought God absolutely all the things I have done and in hindsight I realized I became angry with our Lord you know and that’s when I started drifting from him that’s the first mistake I made I realized now
Which problems don’t mean push away from God but problems are an invitation for a deeper relationship with God yeah because it’s when I moved away from God because I was living a clean life right but now I’m like ah I’m unemployed I’m at home I might as well smoke I’m
Unemployed I’m at home so now you’re going back to your old time because now they are available to you now because now you’re no longer as busy yes yes and I’m no longer having such a strong relationship relationship from God quitting drugs and all the things that
Imprisoned us is not strength from self it’s not even the therapy that helps no it’s therapy and believing in yourself but mainly believing in God and trusting in you is what helps so Mina I had lost belief in self I have lost belief in my God and therefore now the enemy could
Whisper to me and I started feeling come comfortable in these things that is comforting us but what that was doing is it was doubling my mind and it was darkening my spirit and then that led to depression right and I I just to catch you there I like what she’s saying that
You know um when now your relationship with God was becoming more weak you know the devil now use that as an opportunity because what people don’t realize is that the devil is always waiting for the smallest opportunity to get you so the moment you become weak in your
Relationship with God know that you’re in deep trouble because that’s all that Satan is waiting for just that one opportunity because the truth is if you are not speaking to God if you are not listening to God then why are you listening to exactly God and the devil
And the devil so if you do another thing today hello come no you’re in trouble in big trouble yeah and that trouble also seeped into my marriage because I got married I was married for 11 years um my my wife my ex-wife and I dated for
Five years and then we got him we got married the marriage was beautiful let me tell you let me like you made it in life we know you you have made it so the fact that you’re on top billing yeah wow so wow um now the top billing the classiness
You know and then we in my wife and I instead of growing together through the troubles we were growing apart and it caused much more problems in our marriage and then number 2020 during covert things became even worse because now Productions are closed I’m not getting even these smaller countries
Basically you know what I mean yeah um unfortunately my wife felt at that time of what she was gonna call for a divorce that made me even more depressed because shortly before that um my mother and my younger brother passed away in a car accident oh I’m so
Sorry about that no thank you thank you um the Lord heals he really does and um that loneliness now because this family that I had created myself for myself by God’s grace I was holding on to it and to admit too tightly even because I had lost my birth family yeah and so
Um that breakup of the marriage I know why God hates divorce because it it really kills the soul it does and that’s what it did to me yeah and as you can imagine I became even angry absolutely and I think what made me even angry is
Because when I saw that the marriage was on the Rocks I started recommitting myself to God yeah you see when you go to God only when you want something you’re in trouble God God is not our 18 no no he’s our father he’s not your Runner you can’t use natural
You can’t just give him a list one two three four yeah just do it so I went back to church not to serve him but because I knew how great he is I wanted him to serve me yes and he didn’t fix that situation and instead of asking
Lord what should I learn from this or what do you want me to do yeah I completely shut him down and it’s when I now didn’t have my children living with me it’s when I had lost the love of my life that I lost even more of myself and then
And that is when the enemy started having a field day because he started sending the devil started sending people to me yes the ancestors are calling you and what do you do now because now you’ve been a Believer for all your life and then all of a sudden this comes what goes through
Your mind what went through my mind is this um the enemy what he uses is fear yes God uses love you’re absolutely so for me to start listening to these voices they had to instill fear in me if you don’t hit the call of the ancestors this
Is what’s gonna happen in fact you are gonna go crazy your children a b and c it’s almost like an ultimatum it is most people that I’ve met even got married some of them came in some of them came in after losing people because they wanted to no that’s why the
So if these people that like my mom loved me my father loved me he never wanted you to suffer why would they make me suffer purpose that’s the LIE of the devil but because it’s fear induced oh so if I don’t hit this call I’m gonna
Lose even more yeah that’s the key God though says come to me who are tired heavy laden I will give you rest but the devil’s voice discussed as disguised as ancestors and whatever else they call it says if you don’t do this you’re gonna die if you don’t do this already
I’ve lost my loved ones so what more can you take the devil is a liar amen and now they are coming for my children which if you don’t do this I was like you know what money is bigger I’m like I don’t have anything you don’t have anything yeah the only thing of
Value I have are these children so let me put foreign and how was that process of you now entering into this journey like pursuing this journey like what happened the you know how the enemy will tell you 10 truth and 90 lies yes yes when when I started practicing these things because now
You feel you feel a bit in control there’s a bit of Hope yes yes because um things were just going down so you’re like oh now that I am doing this listen to somewhere so first there was a false sense of peace and I say false because
Because I was a Christian before I was anything else I knew this is not right yeah this sound there’s always that voice that will convicted because God doesn’t leave us we override the king in order to do our will and I overrode him but I tried to
Keep him close by praying and worshiping I’m practicing idolatry because no matter who tells you what the fact that I was going on my knees to speak to the dead instead of speaking to the you’ve basically you’ve put all your Hope on an animal Jesus Christ Our Lord and Savior was
Sacrificed for us now am I saying the blood of a chicken is more precious than Jesus am I saying the blood of the goat is more precious than Jesus but when you are lost and confused and believing the lies of the enemy when you are desperate
And when you have moved away from God it’s easy for the devil to fool you I’m smart and I don’t say that pompously it’s what God has blessed absolutely yes but I was doing idiotic things and I was doing these things in hopes and then the Lord said to me so these
Children of mine that I have taken because it’s me who knows when you were born it’s me who also knows when you shall pass away and those who live in me when they pass away I collect their Spirits they come to me their bodies go to rest now here you are um
And as you are doing this me who gave you life yes me who wants to give you even more life but you’ve moved away from me and then he makes this example to me through one of the ladies that was preaching to me um this is now God
Bringing me out of these things the Lord says in the beginning Adam your forefather I gave him Dominion I gave you Dominion these animals and what I said he must name them and then I told you to have dominion over them at these now these animals dominating
Over you and that’s why people have crazy Spirits because we are inviting demonic spirits we are we’re opening portals that we don’t even know yes we are replacing the blood of Jesus with the blood of gods lamps and all these other things and the Lord started speaking sense to me but
I wasn’t listening as well as I should have because again yes and I I like what you said um about desperation yes that we end up doing things because we’re desperate because now we’ve been given the ultimators on the table to be like if you don’t do this this is what’s
Going to happen so now you’re desperate to sort of like make sure that this doesn’t fall on your kids you know this doesn’t ruin you know your children’s future or whatsoever so how many people out there are doing things out of desperation how many people yes in all sorts of presence of
Addictions and all these things you know so I what she’s saying there is so important because we’ve already lost the voice of God so now who’s going to talk to you now because now you’re doing the wrong things out of desperation yeah and when you listen to the voice of the
Enemy the truth is the devil has come for three things as we know to kill steal and destroy yeah he tried killing me yes he tried stealing from in fact he stole from me but now he was destroying me yeah and the first thing the first
Way he could do that was by destroying my identity the mind CC I make this example of the type meeting 911 when when those suicide bombers yes took over the planes in order to express them they had to First Take Over the cockpit and then they could crash these places into the
Buildings right our cockpit is our mothers if the devil can take over your mind then your whole body will follow you absolutely absolutely no because Mina I had put my faith more in the things God had given me and in grief I forgot to go to the comforter in
Confusion I forgot to go to the spirituals so I was now listening to the spirit of lies and lied to me he did Kill My Pride he did it destroy my dignity he did and I was so lost that I was literally in a far-off place with people I don’t know
And yes they welcomed me well but where were they welcoming me exactly do you know what I’m saying and and how was your family’s reaction to all of this you know were they supportive did you like experience any rejection from the people that you knew maybe in your Christian circle from family members
Because you know Tina Amanda we have this thing of you know if now you’ve gone another way but you know you know how did you experience any of that I’ll be very honest when my mother and my brother passed away and then he passed away 2021 while I was going through the divorce
Um the family came to see oh to like be with you yes but then they went back to their lives respectively I was left alone because I Gabby they had their own lives to live but the reality is my immediate family had passed away yeah so I did not have
People next I was alone I was alone in the house because my children were staying now with my ex-wife I was alone because my mother and father have passed away the people that care for me unconditionally I was alone because my older brother had been murdered what
Type of passed away in the accident and I was even more alone because I was no longer going to church so there was nobody there I was alone and oh I had Brothers like um who gave me a place to stay when my because I used to
Live in fourways and then we had to dissolve that house and I literally had nothing and then thank you so much my brother for the love and for taking care of me when I couldn’t take care of myself and but he could only do that you know
What I’m saying the healing and the what that’s that was a journey that only God could help me with you know so my family did not reject me um but I felt rejected by the Christian Community yes because I didn’t try to reach out to some people and yo about peace
And then now I’m not outside so somewhere you’re no longer living that lifestyle so you’re no longer in their level if I may say I think is we are Brothers and Sisters in Christ yes but some are only only love you for what you have some only want you when you
Shine exactly you know what I mean exactly so I mean I was poor I was lonely I was broken and nobody wanted to accept it and it’s the the community is that I felt oh you guys are welcoming me and can I tell you something that’s exactly what the devil uses you know
When the devil is working against you he’ll always make sure that the people that you once knew or counted on they turned their backs on you because remember he wants you yeah so he can’t now have people who are going to set you in the right path around you so hence I
Asked that question so yeah no instead I have people telling me I’m doing the right the right thing goes and even when the Lord’s voice was speaking deep inside but face to face like this yeah and you’re looking for a right way to do things and you’re thinking I
And that’s when you slaughter a goat and you must drink its blood and there’s a ritual when you must carry it on your back and the Lord said hi hi not you you will not be drinking that you will not make blood covenants yeah and he said
Get up and leave from that place at night when I slept I dreamed of so many things that were demonic and then the Lord before and the Lord said I’m the only one that can save you from these things but if you willingly after I’ve told you not to do this if you
Willingly go and do it you won’t find me on the other end I woke up the next morning you know one thing about me when I’m convicted I left for the second time but you know what happens the enemy starts sending me clients I’ve always had the gift of Prophecy
I’ve always had the gift of discernment but I never used it I used it only to gain to push myself to the next level like for your own agendas hello yes but now I’m seeing in wow I’m able to counsel them and that’s different for you yes
Yeah and then I’m like no man maybe I was just being stopped from drinking the blood but it was recording you know I had more than 10 clients wow who would all come back and thank me him wow now I’m graduating once you initiate other people you are
Called oh so you know it’s like a higher ranking now yes because now you are trading other sangoma oh okay okay literally no this lady that had come to me had come watching some seasons is what’s almost like an angel you know how the Bible
