Tell you guys another sorority related topic Browns I’ll talk to you guys about another two already related topic nothing about this the other day because I did undergrad for about four four-and-a-half years if you count my September graduation and for that time I was in a sorority for almost three years
Three and a half years you guys tell me I joined my sophomore year maybe three years maybe maybe Oh anyway I want to talk to you guys about the difference between undergraduate sorority chapters and grad chapter well let’s just get into it first of all some undergraduate
Is in terms of size I think that it depends on the region and the chapter self learn out they have large members or small members or a small number of are single are so many members I think that stands on the chapter Graduate chapter I think is a lot bigger than
Undergraduate chapter the Graduate chapter they have a little more from my experience I think that undergrad is more fun than Grand Chapter if I say that because you’re still in college or still enjoying your undergraduate life your skills doing schoolwork you’re still doing other activities on campus
You’re surrounded by people all the time you’re going to have more fun graduate chapter is a little bit for older members and I’m just speaking on the perspective of my story so my older members I little members who have already received their bachelor’s degree they can be anywhere between their
Twenties to their twenties and up will say I want to put a number on it but and their members are mostly professional women or women who have received their degrees at a region who received their degree in a undergraduate school that does not have an undergraduate chapter
But they have regional membership so you have those members that come to graduate as well and after they graduate from college they will eventually join grad counter so grad chapter is a little bit more I feel like it’s more structured than undergrad because you’re dealing with professional women you’re dealing
With women in the military women who have so many years of experience in sorority and so many years of experience with a graduate chapter so it’s a different they have different mentality from undergrad expect with undergrad were just like bopping around has a flow we do a works closely we have chapter
Meetings like you have more activities graduate chapter has activities as well but our activities are cater more towards what events we plan we have our social events we have our Social Committee is just like undergrad but they’re more I select they’re more cater towards everyone’s schedule because we’re working professionals there were
Mothers where career driven so we have to like plan our time accordingly another thing that I think is different from undergrad is dues because undergraduate and read it’s always going to be cheaper than Grand Chapter do that good life but because you know they work with undergrads versus Dratch afterlight
Undergrads always going to have discounted tuition that’s which knows about houses tell me of keys and you know I miss that others graduate I think I’ve it céntimos um let’s see what else is different I feels like The Sisterhood changes too just a little bit you kind of mature more when you’re
In grad chat because like I said you’re around members who have been in the chapter forever they they have their 10 year membership they’ve had their annual any well they had their 50 year membership their life members there they’re just more mature so you get to see how those women interact with each
Other and I think this is a good thing I don’t think that there’s any cons to joining graduate chapter after you graduated from college because for one you’re still in being a sorority you’re still don’t event we still have other things still have fun we still have social
Events so you’re always going to be busy that’s something that doesn’t changes you’re still gonna be busy while you’re in graduate chapters but I feel like it’s more it’s more structured like I said you spend more time with your family but you also spend a lot of time
With your sorority too especially if you’re in executive officers dispensing and undergrad you still have your executive meeting that you still have your meetings with the body and those meetings can be anywhere between one to two hours of your day just like an undergrad and if this must it’s a social
Event it will probably take even more time because our majority of students that we take that we take 40 of the events that we do and grab chapter is doing mostly is done on the weekends so if you weren’t doing a week and you have a sorority event pretty much your
Saturday or your Sunday so I feel like that’s another difference but all in all I think that it’s still a great experience joining and undergrad versus joining grant chapter I’ve seen women joining grant chapter and I feel like it’s the same thing and nothing changes the same process you’re still going to
Have your ceremonies we still have our we don’t necessarily have me invite presentations in garage chatter I haven’t seen a graduate chapter have a neophyte presentation be honest with you I don’t know the faces don’t want to do it or they’re just they collect it’s just for the
Undergrad but I hadn’t seen a grand chapter do a graduate chapter new up by presentation since I’ve joined that would be pretty interesting but I hadn’t seen that yet that’s the difference between granite vinaigrette undergrad will have a unified presentation or a yard show we don’t necessarily have your
Art shows and graduate chapter we have stroll off competitions we’ll still do those we’ll still have only picnics or family days cookout parties there’s always a purpose behind it it’ll be like four cherry or for a certain committee to raise money but it’s still a lot of fun
One more thing this difference to an undergrad and graduate gender other difference between the grant chapter and undergrad is graduate chapters they turn into the mother to the undergraduate chapter so there are always the main difference between being an undergrad and graduate champion graduate chapter being becomes responsible for an
Undergraduate chapter which cut is what happened to me I was in undergrad and I joined Grant chapter and that ended up being responsible for undergraduate chapter that um I graduated from so that was fun I mean or not I think that’s pretty much the main differences between
Two of what I’ve seen I can’t think of anything else but I’ve never lived in a video out there because I thought about it a day and I let me do it first chance I get but I have to go to a baby shower
