Uhum once again we would like to ask you uh a couple questions uh starting with how did you come across our foundation uh first of all I’m um thank you so much sister for the question I want to First U thank uh Dr say B for
This I want to thank him for this uh auspicious invitation to the foundation I want to thank the um the audience who came here today and I want to thank um Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala for making this possible uh it is uh very it’s very unique I don’t know who chose the
Aats that our brother recited um but in my own preparation before coming here I was reading from the same Surah so I don’t know maybe it was a setup alhamdulillah um secondly uh we have a sister she’s living in the US who’s asking the questions that is that correct yeah yes
So another another part of the setup so if you can just ask the question one more time of course please so how did you come across our foundation actually there’s a colleague of mine he does some uh NGO work um his name doesn’t come to my mind he has a foundation
Here and I was sitting in his office and he said to me she why you here there’s a very interesting place that you should go and visit and he would spoke about this place and and I came and there was an activity that was going on at the time
Uh and I left and I came back I think the next day um so now this has to be one of the places I come to each time I come to istambul um so Allah he arranged this for us inshah what are the key challenges that Muslim communities are facing in the modern
World in fact this is one of my uh concerns in America we have a very we have a very unique sit situation where there are approximately 7 million Muslims about 2.7 they are Muslim Jud meaning they are new Muslims who have embraced Islam and the rest they are immigrant Muslims who
Came from other places and um the phenomena that’s taking place is that Muslims are preed occupied with building a mosque it it would seem the natural thing to do once you get your feet on the ground and you have some kind of stability to build a mosque however that phenomena has led to
Um a challenge within itself that people have become like bir in the cage they build the cage they fly around the cage but they don’t fly out so the MOs now 6,400 massit in the United States of America when I became a Muslim there were no more than 35 or 40 massages in
The whole country that was 1965 so exponentially we can see that Muslims are growing but Islam is not growing Islam is not growing in terms of its impact on American society but the number of Muslims are growing and the reason for that is Muslims inside of their Masid SL spiritual
Cages they think they got it whether the mosque is the $50,000 mosque or whether it’s the million MOS they think they have arrived they think they have it and this phenomena is all over the world now Muslims believe that once we build the mosque with tall Min Minas with big
Kuba you know with the chandeliers we got it no we don’t have it it only means that we’re there but it doesn’t mean that we have any presence there because Muslims need to make a distinction between a congregation inside of a building and the JAMA that the prophet s ordered us to
Form and I hope that in my answering the questions I’m not being too pragmatic I’m not being too philosophical and I hope that I’m not um um I hope that I’m not making anybody uncomfortable in their traditional thinking because keep it in mind I’m a new Muslim obviously I’m not a young
Muslim but I’m a new Muslim and as a new Muslim I’ve traveled throughout the world about 130 five countries now and I’ve seen the Muslims I’ve like I khaldun says I walked on their Earth I breathed their air I drank their food I drank their water I ate their
Food so I’ve got a chance now not to think about them remotely I have a very um intimate relationship with the Muslims I see the potential but we need to come out of the idea that we have a community simply because we have built a Masid no that Community is only
Established when there’s a leader that has reasonable influence and the JAMA has some kind of commitment to that leader and then that leader and that Jama their mission is established in that area not that building so I hope that I’ve answered that question yes um reasonably
So so um I would like to go back to the first question I feel like I didn’t completely ask um some parts about it uh what is your history with doing a partnership with our foundation okay you know um there’s a Surah in the Quran that most of us we know
It but maybe we didn’t reflect upon it it’s the Surah one of the shortest ones called Sur and um one of our great Scholars IM he was asked to comment on this Surah when other people they had written books on the Surah he just they said let let us ask and he
Said the translation of which is if Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala had not revealed to his creatures any other Surah other than this Surah it would be enough for them so in extracting from what Imam Shafi said what he was implying that there’s a couple of phrases in the
Quran that if you were to take it those phrases it’s the complete medicine and so in the last part of the Surah Allah says when I came uh to visit this institution I I felt that the institution uh it was offering me or it
Was uh it was um it was motivating me to want to do some kind of you know you’re in the right place if you feel like that because there are places you go and you meet Muslims and you respect Muslims and you interact with Muslims but you
Don’t have the desire uh to make with them or they don’t even give you that feeling well I received that feeling and I said that to uh uh Dr uh s b I said to him I wish that there was an opportunity for myself as the executive of the purpose of life
Foundation to make a taan with this institution because I thought to myself that some of the strength that that is very obvious here it would fill some of the potholes in my experience I I hope you can you can yeah I hope you got that yeah because this is what’s
Complimentary MH you know if you if you have some deficiencies or you have some uh uncompleted um expectations or things that you wanted to do or or to achieve and other people are saying that you did achieve something but you know yourself that you didn’t achieve what you wanted
Well when you meet someone or you go into a place and you find that they have achieved something that you wanted to achieve that’s the place you should ask for taan and and he accepted so here I am alhamdulillah uh how do you see the role of Faith evolving in an increasingly
Interconnected and diverse world the world of Faith the world of faith is like the lower Heavens everyone and everything is under it it Allah subhana wa tala mentioned in the Quran that he offered the trust the am man he offered it to the sky and the mountains and they
Refused but but the human being because he was built for that the human being is built for that he accepted but Allah said in his accepting that it is the part of because human beings tend to be Jula they accept responsibility even though they not prepared for it this is
The nature of the human being but Allah he wants us to accept responsibility because he will give us what we need to fulfill that responsibility if we have Im so I see that the challenge of Muslims in the 21st century is that we need to not assumptively talk about Iman or recite the
Quran or speak about things from the sources uh because that is just when you learn it and you memorize it becomes like knee-jerk but we need to reflect on our trust with Allah subhana wa taala and every place in the Quran Allah he mentions uh IM it is like Sky Earth salt pepper
Bread Butter Ean Amal it’s not it’s not by chance it’s by Design so the challenge that we have in my estimation uh in the 21st century is that we have to connect what we’re doing to our Iman and uh and what the um what happens inside the motor itself that the moving
Parts they complement one another if Muslims were doing more of the social actions that upon which their Iman is built for their Iman would increase but if Muslims are only talking about Iman going through the rituals of Iman the Iman doesn’t uh increase and you can always tell how influential Muslims are by
Their by the response of people around them and I don’t mean the negative responses it is my estimation that the greatest positive responses to Islam it didn’t come because of preaching it came because of the behavior of the Muslims themselves so I think the greatest challenge that we have is that we are
Not we’re not behaving commensurate to the amount of knowledge that we have that we represent Are there specific challenges related to preserving and promoting faith in this globalized environment yeah U I’m glad that you use the word globalized because uh this a good terminology uh when you think about global
Economy Global Dynamics the word globalism itself um it fits with Islam because when we recite the fa we say alhamdulillah and it doesn’t mean the that the human beings are able to experience it is all the worlds micro and micro which Allah subhana wa taala
Has created and that he uh uh and that he uh controls he’s the Lord of all those Worlds the micro the macro the seen the Unseen and and Muslims understood this Muslims were Competitive Muslims had the brand non-muslims traveled the Earth just to get to Spain Muslims traveled the world just to get to Baghdad and when they got there to go to the UN unversity for the first time to take a bath at that time the brand was
Islam now we have to preach Islam and argue Islam because the brand is not El evident so I think that one of our major challenges uh in the global Society is that we polish the brand and if you don’t mind I’d like to just give a small caveat here I’m sorry
If I take up too much time on the question you know McDonald’s is one of the most powerful tangible brands in the world today it’s Global it’s an American product but no one sees it any longer as an American product there are more than 91,000 McDonald stores in the world today they
All operate R the same way there’s no chicken tikka there’s no Sharma shop there is absolutely nothing that can compete with McDonald’s in terms of the brand now it’s the worst food in the world if you eat McDonald’s maybe you’re going to wind up in the Mac clinic and maybe that’s the best
Business for McDonald’s to go into just put a m clinic right next door but it’s not the quality of the food is the quality and the power of the brand so in the ayy that the brother recited says ISL Islam this is the brand when people think of Islam at that
Time they thought about safety they thought about Prosperity they thought about power they thought about benefit it didn’t matter that the people were Adams of or Asians or who they were it was that at that time people saw the brand to be very clear very powerful
Generous and if you got to where the Muslims was at you had a choice become a Muslim as you’re a full card member or remain as you are and still you will get the benefits and you don’t have to go into military service you don’t have to pay zaka how beautiful a
POS a deal that is so I think that the spirit of competition um representing the brand so that wherever you see a mosque wherever you meet a Muslim wherever Islam has spoken about the brand the characteristics of the brand are the same and since we have um
It and and we have the phenomena of um of the the internet and social media this should not be hard for us to do so this is our challenge to meet the competition uh of the modern world and to introduce our products and our services and that everyone could
Appreciate it and use it and be beneficiaries of it even if they are not Muslims in your opinion what are the most pressing social cultural or political issues that Muslim majority countries are grappling with in the modern era and how do these relate to the crisis of
Faith well I think this question has to be answered in two or three ways and so I’ll start off with the first one I think the most pressing challenge that Muslims are facing is to go beyond their particular persuasion it seems like whichever tree a Muslim sits under and some fruits fall
Down in their lap that’s where they’re going to stay um if it’s a mango tree they’re going to eat mangoes the rest of their life and they’re going to argue with people that the best fruit in the world is mangoes well it is to them subjectively Allah subhana T
Mentions so the first challenge we have we have to go back to this issue of our relationship with each other and our relationship with each other is not dictated should not be dictated by any other leader other than Muhammad sah alhi wasallam secondly our relationship with each other is not based upon
Blood or territory or language or culture or proximity and because Allah says in it means that definitely the relationship between the Believers is that of fraternity Brotherhood and ironically it’s used Brotherhood but it means it implies also uh Sisterhood fraternity so if we are not able to achieve fraternity there’s something
Deficient in our Iman there’s something deficient in our understanding there’s something deficient in our Logistics there’s something uh uh uh deficient in our strategy because our relationship all of our praying all of our rituals everything that we’re doing is should lead to the relationship that we are one family that we are one
Fraternity then when there are differences if you see Muslims insulting each other staying away from each other arguing with each other fighting each other killing each other damaging subverting each other then you also know that the numbers don’t mean much because if there is Brotherhood there should also be
ISL the ability for us to respectfully disagree and that if we disagree there should be a source amongst us that we respect enough to go to and that source is able to make islah for us arbitration reconciliation and if we have tawa that’s the route that we will go if we
Don’t have tawa we can’t go that route we’re always going to wind up in a situation of polarization as we are today so I think that in the environment that we’re living in we have to first straighten out our house um and and at this point I’d like
To if you don’t mind uh this is not just an ordinary day today because something happened yesterday which is very phenomenal if you turn on any news channel today uh if you don’t mind I’m going to divert for a moment uh yeah and and and include something in my
Statement a um an event or uh a situation or an incident uh took place yesterday or within the 24 hours of yesterday um which was sort of like something that was building up building up building up building up and it gets to the point you know something me that
You left the water on the stove too long and the kettle just exploded it wasn’t you planned that it’s just that you wasn’t watching it and the kettle just exploded so yesterday some Muslims without any judgment I’m not making any judgment I’m not a politician I’m not U um a political thinker I’m
Just talking about happened and anyone that saw what happens and you don’t have any feeling about it you don’t have any position about it no we do have a feeling about it we do have a position about it and we should be able to talk about it without politicizing it well Masid
Ala is sacred to all Muslims and our sanctity was transgressed upon in 1948 and there have been reactions and reactions and reactions and reactions since 1948 and that situation has been a source of aggravation embarrassment um to Muslims as if it’s like every day it
They cannot go a day that you some way some kind of reaction doesn’t happen where the mentioning of Masa through saying or saying Palestine or whatever the case might be but it’s just a an aggravation nobody has an answer well yesterday Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala he caused or he allowed or he manifested
A more powerful reaction than has happened perhaps in the last 30 years I don’t say I don’t clap I don’t applaud I don’t say that I agree or whatever it’s not the issue because when Allah sends the Z or Allah he causes the earthquake or something else happens
That brings the attention of the world we should say when the co came people could say whatever it was Bill Gates this guy that guy conspiracy it came from huan or this that so and so this is because we’re just trying to ourselves be smart or intelligent we don’t really know we
Should say Allah but the more correct thing to say because brothers and sisters could you realize this before the co there were five or six countries who were Banning women from wearing nikab and during the co Allah put the whole world INB the whole world in fact if you’re
Going somewhere or traveling somewhere and you don’t have on they tell you you can’t come in since the co there’s no problem about Nik so Fortune from Misfortune I think that we Muslims we have to be deep thinkers we ask Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala through his infinite mercy and
Through his his knowledge and through his power that he will give us back the management of Masid ala which he gave to us perpetually even it’s occupied it is still ours so if Allah he used some Muslims in a way that we don’t understand or perhaps we don’t agree we
Would not have done it that way I say if it rains and it kills some people well that same brain it brought life to some other people so to me uh there’s a sign that no one is impervious to a crime so if Allah he uses some people at
A certain time and place to demonstrate and to make them uncomfortable because they transgressed a place I I say whoever will make a transgressor uncomfortable in what they have taken this is from Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala and may Allah subhah wa taala he accept the highest level of Iman that those
People they had meaning that the people who have the highest level of Iman and sincerity and doing something that they think will please Allah or serve the Muslims or to clean masida if this was their ni we ask Allah subhana T to have his mercy upon them and if someone had some other
Intentions we ask Allah to accept even from them the smallest of their intentions so it is ironic that we are here today uh and that is something that even if we don’t talk about it it is being talked about every place in the world today and we cannot just push it to to
The back like it is nothing like we don’t have an opinion we should have an opinion but probably the people who have the best knowledge and who are the people who represent us should be the people who speak about it more directly could you elaborate on any initiatives or strategies that you
Believe have shown promise in addressing the challenges of the Islamic World in terms of faith and its role in society yeah you know uh sister when you were um when you were speaking about the uh the intellectual um uh uh communicative um initiatives of the foundation this is precisely what we
Need to do because the pen is mightier than the sword anybody can knock down a building and put up another building but everybody can cannot repair everybody can shout and everybody can March and everybody can react about something that we don’t like but everyone cannot articulate and there’s a Ayah of the
Quran I don’t know the exact I’m not like Dr Zak Nik but the Ayah it ends this this this Ayah so in this Ayah Allah subh waala is talking with us about our interaction with people and at the end he’s saying that if your behavior is correct it is possible that someone who
Was your enemy they could become at the end of that so I think that there’s a way in the 21st century that Muslims can achieve Global dignity Global recognition and even if some people who are in our opposition ideologically it doesn’t have to mean
That we have to have war with them or we have to curse them or they have to curse us or we have to um they have to subvert us or we have to subvert them they have to they feel they should conquer us or we should conquer them no um we had an
Example a group of Muslims went to Malaysia I’m Excuse me to Indonesia they were from hadot they were just businessmen and they went there for business and of course part of their business was their behavior and their goods and their services and they use their goods and their services and their
Behavior as a platform to do dawa not not not the opposite they didn’t go there to preach and to teach and to argue no they went there with goods and services and good behavior as a result of their good behavior and the quality of their goods and their services it’s a very long
Story but I’ll just summarize it for you the king of that country they sent for wives from their country and those wives were put on a boat on the way that boat capsized and those women that were on that boat died of course the king of that
Country he’s told them you don’t have to go back to your country we will mour with you but we don’t want you to go back to your country to get wives I will order my people each to give a daughter or two and give you wives from ourselves those hotti Muslims married
The daughters of those Indonesian people with no Army no intrusion no trauma Indonesia became a Muslim country and today it’s the most populous Muslim country we can see goods and services and good behavior so that’s one example so I Wish by Allah subhana wa ta’ala that there are if there were in the
World today 10 organizations like this organization this Foundation who had a similar thinking a similar set of resources and they chose to make taan and they were on different continents in different countries and they made tan this could change the world this could change the way we see
Each other and this could also change the way people see us the purpose of life Foundation was established in 1975 and I never thought to myself I never thought to myself that one day I may be sitting someplace like this um and and be able to ask someone
Representing an organization of this uh stature to make TAA but Allah he does what he wants to do and so our initiative was to remove misconceptions and distortions about Islam and Muslims that’s called dawa or presenting Islam then we moved from that stage 10 years ago to develop
Resources to support our daa so we didn’t have to beg so we moved from being a charity based organization to um a an alov an endowment that could receive Investments and then based on on those Investments that we have different streams of Revenue so we don’t have to beg or depend upon charity
So that’s uh I hope that I reasonably answered that question yes thank you what role do you think education plays in overcoming the challenges posed by the global Faith crisis within the Islamic World it plays the major role a wagon without wheels it just doesn’t go anywhere a wagon without
Wheels a Ferrari without gas or a Tesla without electric so education education mobilizes and defines everything Allah subhana wa tala he created our mother and father um haah our father Adam and his mate um haah and if you can remember the scenario when Allah he created them and
He told the Angels I’m going to create uh and they made a Dua are you going to create someone who will create Bloodshed and this and that Allah said I know what you no not and Allah he taught them the nature of all things the nomenclature of
All things so when Allah he taught them the nomenclature of everything this is when he Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala he swiped their card you know you know if you have a card a gift card but you don’t swipe it you didn’t what you didn’t activate it
So our father Adam and our mother how they were activated by how what made them gave them the distinction over the Mala Allah taught them the nature the nomenclature and the names of all things that’s what distinguish the human beings from all other animals intellect the first revelation that came
To Muhammad sahu Al it wasn’t to pray what was it education so it is education it is education it is education and education is not the all in all but it starts it off because what you’re going to know is important what you’re going to do is
Important but you have to know what you’re going to do so I think that education has to be the priority not necessarily the m not the objective but it has to be the priority for us to get to the place where we want to get and if
Muslims keep their level of knowledge if if they if Muslims have ascendency in knowledge knowledge is going to be the source of respect that Islam will always get but when Muslims lose the ascendency of knowledge doesn’t matter how doesn’t matter how much you pray doesn’t matter about your past doesn’t matter about
Your books it doesn’t matter you say how right you are what you own no it’s the ascendancy of knowledge and Allah subhana wa T he began the Revelation with knowledge uh uh Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala uh he sent to every Prophet a revelation so that that Prophet had knowledge and even
Allah subh sent a m an angel to each Prophet to provide that Prophet with knowledge so knowledge has to be our priority not the objective but it has to be our priority in the global world world and not knowledge about religion itself but knowledge about everything that mobilizes and everything that
Energizes uh and everything that um uh that influences the world today uh this has to be our major objective one last question inshallah um how can current Islamic educational approaches be enhanced to effectively address these challenges in a practical manner well we have to attach knowledge to
Industry we have to attach knowledge you know say mean to um um to uh practical uh the pr practical application of the knowledge technology and science and business because what drives the world today is not religion and what drives the world today today is not where people went to
School what drives the world today is business Science and Technology there’s no one in this room that doesn’t have a watch I didn’t say you don’t know what time it is but you have a watch nobody in this room doesn’t have a phone or two I didn’t say an Android or an
Apple there’s nobody in this room that is not dependent upon energy so it is science it is technology uh it is the products and the services that represent technology and science and who said money who said that a child a young person right huh you see yeah
So business is the medium it is not itself the technology it’s just the medium Muslims must be engaged in business I don’t know if you know this but I’m a student of the S of the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam uh meaning a student of a student of a a
Student um and if we take the 83 major Companions of the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam you know there were approximately 83 major Companions of the Prophet Sall Al wasallam according to what sources of the s that you read There were 71 to 75 who were all business
People that should tell us something how did Islam Mo mobilize so fast because they were not working for others they were not subordinate to others they were not dependent upon others they were what when Allah subhanahu wa’ta’ala when Allah gave the prophet the the prophet didn’t know what it was
In fact he was frightened he was traumatized what did he do he went back home to his wife who was what a businesswoman when the Prophet wasam The Prophet was a businessman he was working with his uncle who was a businessman and his uncle’s father was a
Businessman so business was in the line of the Prophet his father died before he was born but his father was a what a businessman so the prophet sallam is normally a shepherd and and a what a businessman but when the Revelation came Allah had a different business for him
So he gave him a wife to continue the business the first Muslim was a slave but the first no the first Muslim was a boy that was Ali abali the son of a what a businessman the next one was I mean the first one was a slave but the first free
Person was a was a boy who was Ali AB Talib but the first man was who Abu Bakr sik a businessman Abu afan the owner of two lights who was married to two of the daughters of the Prophet sallam when one passed away the pr gave him another one he was what a
Businessman so so we can see that the four the they were all what businessmen everyone that the pro that Allah gave to the prophet of tremendous importance they were all business people independent thinkers their time belonged to them they can make their own decisions they were already well respected they were already resourceful
And the prophet he said he also said s wasam so the wisdom I get from this is that we have to strive to be in the in the in the market place of the world everywhere people go to do business they should find Muslims there if we’re not in the marketplace we’re in
The wrong place so it’s business it’s science it’s technology it’s industry because that leads to influence because when you have influence people will listen to you and if they listen to you it’s a chance that Allah he will guide them and they will comply to some degree I I know that um we
Uh um that was your last question MH uh I hope that I reasonably um addressed your questions I didn’t practice them oh thank you thank you very much thank you very much sister for reading them and uh thank you very much for who structured uh they were not kind of like
Questions as I understood it they were issues that uh there were issues that needed to be clarified or you wanted me to clarify and I hope that I reasonably uh address them MH yes thank you um with your permission I would like to um give a brief summary of what you said in
Turkish to the audience to the tur W you can do that they yes okay foreign speech speech foreign foreign speeech speech foreign speech foreign spee speech foreign speech fore speech foreign speech fore speech forch forch foreign speech foreign foreign speech foreign speech speech foreign for foree speech foree for speech for speech fore
Speech foreign for Fore speech speech foreign spe for for foreign speech foreign foreign speech foreign speech foreign Fore speech fore speech forign for for foreign speech for speech for spee foreign foreign spee foreign spe fore speech foreign spe fore speech speech foreign speeech for um s s uh is going to talk about uh some of the connections of what you said the answers that you gave to our
Questions he’s going to talk about uh he’s going to talk about it um by using um excerpts from uh The Scholar s nurse’s uh books um so he will be mentioning that right now foree speech for speech foreign speech spech foreign foreign spe for for spech forign speech foreign speech fore spee foreign
Forch for spee spech foreign forign foreign foreign speech foree speech forign spech for speech so he was actually going to mention this at the very end but since you talked about the importance of Education while you were answering the last question um he’s going to start by
Talking about how uh scholar bed Zan mentioned 120 years ago about um the three enemies of society which is ignorance poverty and conflict and there’s only three weapons that could be used to fight against these uh three enemies and it would be um knowledge development and unity and this um
Correlates with what you had mentioned in your answer as well so he’s going to start by talking about that fore speech speech foreign fore spech foreign for speech speech speech speech foree for for speech foreign foreign fore speech foreign for speeech foreign for for speech Forign speech forign fore forign speech foreign spee spee speeech foreign speech speech foreign fore for so we’re going to read a part from the am letters which talks about the importance of affirmative belief um it starts with they say every nation and every individual knows God we have no
Great need for new instruction in this manner to know God however means to have certain belief in his dominicality encompassing all beings and in all things particular and Universal from the atoms to the Stars being in the grasp of his power action and will it means believing in the truth of the Sacred
Words there is no God but God and assenting to them with no heart with one’s heart foreign for spee foreign speech speeech foreign foreign speech foreign spee fore foreign foreign speech okay so um we say that we believe in words rather than with um without saying it
With um affirmative belief so uh Saab is going to talk about this section in in the part that he’s going to be reading right now he’s going to be talking about how um we could turn belief said with words into affirmative belief fore spe foreign speech forign for Fore foreign speech speech for
But believing in him is as the Quran of Mighty stature informs us to ascend in one’s heart to the Creator with all of his attributes and names supported by the testimony of the whole universe to recognize the messengers he has sent and the commands he has uh promulgated and
To make sincere repentance and feel genuine regret for every sin and act of Disobedience conversely to commit every kind of sin and then to seek pardon for it or concern concern oneself with it is a by using the uh the names of Allah in all of our
Actions and everything that we do every single day so he will now now uh read a section uh discussing that matter foree foreign foreign speech foreign foreign forign speeech for so when we read the Quran we’re also told to read the universe as well and um in order to do that
Uh talks about the eye of belief and uh through the glasses of belief and when we do this we’re able to better understand the asna um while reading the universe as well speech fore foreign so right now um he’s going to mention how the um there’s lack of the
Shifting of mode of thinking uh in the documentaries that we’re watching while they’re while they’re viewing the universe and um he will try to mention the point that’s missing uh while people are evaluating the universe foree for spe foreign fore speech foreign for speech forign foreign foreign foreign foree fore foree speech
Foreign foreign speech forign speech forign speech foreign spee speech in the documentaries we’re able to see the example of how birds are feeding their chicks or how sheep are uh feeding their lambs and this is a manifestation of the rahma uh the name umman and we are in the section that
Mentions this he says for example when the particular Act of sending to the assistance of a powerless infant lacking uh will pure white milk from an unexpected place that is from between blood and excrement is considered from the point of view of of the affirmation of divine Unity suddenly through the

Um what he mentioned is he he he was speaking with the president of dianet and he was saying that why is their lack of examples in education in the education system and of how creation is instead is mentioned several times but they’re we’re not teaching to kids about
The importance of how um God exists in every aspect of creation um he mentioned that only 5% of the Quran is based on based on when in fact the Quran is full of examples of creation and we never talk about that and it’s lacking the um
That’s one of the the causes of the lack of affirmative belief in children as well so in this section uh bed Zaman talks about the Springs of pure delicious milk as an example of how um like we had mentioned before in the Ayah it says and verily in cattle you will
Find an instructive sign from what is within their bodies between excretions and blood we produce for your drink milk pure and agreeable for those who drink it wherein uh is healing for men indeed in this this is uh this is a sign for people who thinks so it’s um when you
Think of causes it doesn’t make sense because inside the cow you think of how uh there’s blood and how could such a pure delicious Springs come out of such a creature and um we’re lacking the reflection of this in our education system and uh thus after pointing out
That almighty God makes his creatures like sheep goats cattle and camels into Springs of pure delic delicious milk for man and artifacts like grapes and dates into cauldrons and Tradin uh with fine sweets delicious bounties for him and Tiny miracles of his power like the honeybee into makers of sweet and
Health-giving sherbet these verses conclude with the words indeed in these are signs for people who think in order to urge men to think and take lesson and compare these with other things so what we’re lacking in the education system is we’re not asking the we’re not teaching uh people to look

Foree forign speech foreign speech there’s an amazing example of how rain um the importance of rain and how uh we can just understand and the creation from God just from the example of rain it says rain comes from the sky in order to produce food for you and your animals
Since water does not possess the ability to pity and feel compassion for you and produce food it means that rain does not come it is sent so it’s important to understand that it’s it’s not um it doesn’t just rain it Al it’s sent from somewhere so we have to think about the
Importance of different differentiating that and this the Earth produces plants and your food comes from there but lacking feelings and intelligence it is far beyond the ability of the earth to think of your sustenance and feel compassion for you so it does not produce it itself furthermore since it’s
Uh since it is remote from plants and trees to consider your food and compassionately produce fruits and Grains for you the verse demonstrates that they are strings and ropes which one all wise and compassionate extends from behind the veil to which he attaches his bounties and holds out to

And if we have this we will be able to actually solve all the political problems and at the same time if we are able to see the Asma and H in every aspect of life the economy can be solved as well because as you can see the
Interest problem or the lack of giving sodaka and uh any of the um games that are being played these are all causing the problems with the economy and uh if everyone was able to have affirmative belief and incorporating in their hearts this would all be

Afraid of answering sensitive questions if I have the capability uh it’s part of my comfort zone I will answer if not I will just pass it on because it’s only a fool that answers all questions okay thank you very much I think no need translation for session yes Forign speech fore spech foreign spee for for foreign speech forign spee fore spe for thank you so he wants to congratulate to you to come here and for thousands of people people’s conversion into Islam uh he wants to ask firstly about a political question you have a right to not answer
It of course uh he heard about uh one of the previous presidents ntin arbak uh is a dangerous guy how it is seen in in Us by Muslim Community in us and the second question is what’s the first one um there’s a politician in the
Past ntin arakan his name is kind of a Pious um religious leader of a party before erdogan’s party you have a right not to answer of course so how it is seen from us because he heard he’s a dangerous guy uh he is mentioned as dangerous guy in us and the second
Question is uh how turkey is seen from outside uh from us by the community of Muslims okay regarding the first one that’s a very subjective question I won’t answer that because it involves a person and a perception about that person that’s not relevant to the topic
I talked about so I should not go out on that limb um foree it was the it was the habit of the Prophet sallallahu Al wasallam and uh and most of the the companions of the Prophet that we don’t talk about people because people have their flaws and
People have their qualities if they have qualities we praise Allah and if they have faults we don’t want to discuss that uh so it may be something important for you um but you need to look into that better for yourself um since you said that he’s perceived by some people to be a
Dangerous person I definitely don’t want to talk about that so as regards to the other issue how turkey is perceived I would give you my impression uh because I don’t want to speak for other people um Turkey right now and I’m speaking as a a new Muslim a fresh
Muslim who has traveled the world who has visited 32 of the prominent 34 countries of the Muslim countries and Turkey right now sits at the Gateway of prominence and Power um and respect prominence because people come to this country not just to visit Antiquity people come to this country because the country sits
Between what people consider to be um the quality of Europe and the and the uh and the um the uniqueness of the Orient if you want to say call it that meaning that some people will go to uh Dubai because they want to enjoy the bling bling but there’s nothing else there I
Lived in Dubai I worked in Dubai it’s an amazing place to live in but the bling bling doesn’t last that long but turkey is quite different um anyone that comes from America or comes from Europe is accustomed to certain refined things well you find those refined things
Here with the engineering so turkey is a very impressive country um the first time I came to Turkey was 1983 it wasn’t so refined at that time those who were who’s from this country it’s still the same civilization but it wasn’t so refined well Allah he brought some
People he brought new development he brought fresh ideas a new um a a new um um a a new sense of feeling and security and development and other kinds of things this happens because a certain mindset just didn’t like rain just didn’t something grew out of the ground
No Allah subhana wa ta’ala he sends someone and some others around that one who has a certain mindset and because of that mindset they arrange the Dynamics differently and here we have turkey and I don’t mind to say that um of world leaders in today if it’s my choice probably the most
Prominent world leader today with his own challenges or faults or what you want to call it has to be Mr erdon I’m saying this not because I’m a f a fan I’m saying this because very clearly uh if if he if there were 20 Muslim leaders to look at he stands out very
Clearly the the respect that he has for uh that he has in the eyesight of the rest of the world the technology that he represents the advancement that he represents the dignity that it represents I mean just so many things that for me um think about this I’m a New
Yorker I prefer to live in to I prefer to live in uh in uh Istanbul than I do to live in New York so I’m just telling you my impression doesn’t mean that Istanbul has everything New York has but definitely in terms of a Muslim and what
I would look for in a metop Metropolis there’s no other city in the world that where there are Muslims whether it’s quala lur okay or or or or Indonesia that they have uh uh what this city has and so that’s my impression that um uh this is a
Very turkey is a very Advanced country it’s a very uh safe country reasonably so uh it’s a very developed country um and it’s a Muslim country there’s no doubt that anybody comes to this country whether they are secular or otherwise they understand they feel the presence of Islam that’s my impression thank you

Mind so if any questions from the ladies part please ladies first she prefers the yes please sorry just excuse me brother Salam alikum my name is s from korus Island and I’m studying in international relations department uh my question to you sh it’s um I mean as a student in political
Sciences I have some concerns about my career and um you mentioned uh previously that uh as Muslims we have to um like to uh to be active uh in our uh Societies in our communities so my question is how to create a balance between uh achieving our duties to our
Uh communities uh or our society as Muslims um and being included to the modern world which is not necessarily fit with our um religion thank you so much do you think you need to to repeat the question in in Turkish or no no no just okay good okay thank you very much
Sister that’s a very good question uh just by the way um um part of my profile is that I’m a uh a social activist and a social activist means that I’m concerned about the society um and its problems and I’m not living anywhere on this Earth taking benefit and I’m just
Happen to be there because our Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam even before the Revelation came he wasn’t just living in Mecca he was a social activist many people they don’t know that before the W he came he was a businessman but he also belonged to a group called alul this is very
Important if a Muslim doesn’t know that our Prophet when he was 18 or 19 years old that he belonged to a social activist group then they missed the mark they think he’s a Pious man waiting for revelation and when the Revelation came it just changed him like he had some
Kind of what do they call that Epiphany or something no no no he was born a prophet the message came to him he became a messenger when he was 40 but he was born a prophet he was maum he was designed he was insulated he was already selected by
Allah subhana wa ta’ala to be engaged in the society and if you examine this what is he doing he’s feeding the poor he’s taking care of the elderly the disadvantaged he’s uh he’s facilitating things he’s Vigilant he’s watching looking to see if there’s any dangers he’s greeting people who are new to come
To Mecca he’s recording things to make sure that the elders who themselves the MJ of that they understand what’s going on so these were young men who themselves were doing social activity what we would that Allah refers to in the Quran is and because we didn’t read the S we
Only obeying the prophet in small things of the Sunnah you know the sun of the clothes the Sunan you know what I’m saying of uh eating or the Sunan of this or or how he slept or this we we we on these kinds of Sunan and if those the
Small Sun everybody can do that but what about the who’s doing that which one of us is concerned about that one of us see some poor people in the street and we take the time five minutes and ask them how do you feel what do you need what is
Your issue I can help you with who can do that who’s interested in doing that our Prophet Sall he was concerned about that he even said if anyone of you goes to sleep at night with a full stomach and you’re not concerned about your neighbor you’re not a
Mman so sister may Allah bless you to pursue what you’re pursuing within the context of Islam that’s the challenge within the context of Islam may Allah bless you may Allah make it easy for you inshallah and may Allah cause you uh to move uh to higher levels of of of how
You want to perform this kind of service and uh I commend young people uh to be involved not in politics or politics but to be involved in the society and to be part of change that’s what I advise you may Allah he bless you sorry just very brief translation for our Turkish
Aien foreign speech fore foree speech forign speech foreign fore for speech for forign speech foreign speech speech speech foreign for speech for spech speech fore another question from the Ladies sorry yes yes please please try to ask the questions in 30 seconds for giving this isass from Ethiopia I’m a student
Sorry we can’t hear your voice Zab Hassan from Ethiopia uh I’m a political science and international relation PhD student I need to ask you about some piece of advice regarding my thesis and my continuing uh career uh my focus is how Islam provide prestigious for women I need to magnify
This issue in my community so I need to some a piece of advice from sh regarding this issue thank you so much it’s a good question uh zabba that’s your name right from habes good and um your um your focus of your I don’t know your dissertation or your degree
Uh has to do with um how do how do women um how do they activate or how do how do they uh interact in a society like a modern societies today and maintain their balance and their integrity I think it’s what you meant was correct is that correct good in their local
Communities yeah okay so in the local communities and in the overall Society um without taking a lot of time here uh that was a topic that I discussed yesterday um uh uh at the uh um at the europ Park Hotel a group of people called wakar they have a conference here
Yesterday they had one last year and it had to do with um restoring and reforming uh the the family inside of the 21st century and and it was impossible to talk about the family without discussing the woman it’s just impossible although I didn’t understand why there were no
Women in that conference you know I’ll discuss that with them tonight when I go visit them how can you discuss the challenges of the family how can you restore the family how can you reform the family in the 21st century without discussing the woman because the Cornerstone of uh uh the the building
Block of the society is the family and the building block or the or the uh the commander of that building block is the woman so um I the people were a bit surprised because they would give they gave me 45 minutes to talk and 30 minutes was about the
Woman 15 minutes was about chanism and misogyny so I talked about to to the men that it is your culture whoever you are and wherever you’re from it is it is the culture of men who has dominated the issues of the world today most of the issues in the
World today most of the problems in the world today most of the challenges in the world today the wars in the world today the conflicts in the world today come from the the chauvinism of men that and and using their culture to dominate religion or the misogyny of men
And their mistreatment of women so I know that chauvinistic men men with big egos they don’t like to hear that but in the Western World We can say that without going to jail so I would just say to you go to my YouTube page for yourself I’m not my
YouTube I’m sorry my Facebook page she KH Yin uh YouTube um um Facebook official so you can see what I said um and you can use that uh any portion of it that you like and if you have some questions my number is on the Facebook page you can call me no problem
And have some further the dialogue uh just and uh quickly um we cannot We Men We cannot adequately address reform or restore the Dignity of the Muslim family or the Muslim Society if we don’t address the imbalance the trauma uh uh and the neglect that we have done uh regarding the Muslim woman
And I hope that uh I hope that you you not yourself but I hope that everybody who’s listening I hope you get that because you Allah subhah wa taala he said he also said now this doesn’t mean that men have a bigger chest or a bigger mind or
Bigger body or whatever the case might be but Allah he wants that the woman doesn’t have to be preoccupied with earning money she doesn’t have to be preoccupied with Building Bridges she doesn’t have to do that because she has something more powerful to do and that is to take
Care of the raising of the generation this is my opinion when a woman has to go outside other than just to go shopping there’s something very wrong in that Society I don’t mean don’t she shouldn’t go to school or she shouldn’t be independent or she shouldn’t this or she shouldn’t that
No um if we men are mature men and we are not insecure men and we are resourceful men why would our daughters why would our mothers and why would our wives and why would our sisters have to go out and challenge things and be exposed to things why would we do that we
Wouldn’t because it is it is not normal nor is it in their interest or the interest of the children for our women to be away from the place in which is their command post it don’t mean they’re domestic it means that they have a a much sensitive surgical command post
Than men and what is that protecting the family family raising the children taking care and uh uh and and um uh what do you call it cultivating the future I’m sorry I took a little bit no pleas thank you thank you very much any other question from the ladies
Part yesam Alum my name is V oh you took three from the sisters now yeah two two okay go ahead okay um so you mentioned about the importance of technology and science so I’m wondering what if you were in your 20s today and as a Muslim
What would you how would you try to spread Islam in today’s world in 21st century with the help of technology and science so I’m wondering about your advices to to us to young people well sister look um we we don’t have to um we we don’t have to be
Um let’s just be straightforward let’s look at the tools that we have today um today I can I can text A friend of mine in China without disturbing what we’re doing here today I mean I could just while you’re talking or I’m talking I could research I can go to chat G
GPT I don’t have to uh I don’t have to be a a genius I can go to chat GPT and chat GPT can give me a 500 um uh what do you call it uh uh research paper just like that okay I can call I can make a
Phone call to China I could text somebody to China this because of technology and this proves what the prophet said when he made the is and the Mir he said that while he was making the uh the the that Allah he made the the he made made the U the world a miniature
For him I don’t know if you can translate that yeah he made the world a miniature for him that means what would go in it and what would come out of it Allah gave the prophet an Insight of that so what technology has done it has made the dimensions of the world
What a miniature for us so uh we have to you know in the first five um uh in the first five ayats of Bak Allah he mentions the statement it’s it’s a it’s a it’s a condition of Faith he says so so we we should not be uh
Uneasy we should not be suspicious we should not be uh afraid or paranoid even about GTP or GPT or about AI or robotics or whatever so there is a place for the technology that we are experiencing but at the same token the technology is created by who the human
Being it can also be controlled by who the human being and we can Traverse what the rest of the AY huh at the end so we should not be intimidated but be careful as I talked about the hot water don’t leave the pot on the stove the prophet said don’t go to sleep
With a fire don’t leave the hot water on the stove so technology uh can be used to do a lot of things but if you don’t manage it properly it can do more damage in just a a a a minute than the damage that could be caused without it in a year
Yes thank you so can we pass brother’s side yes who was the first no no I think this brother over here was the first one you sure okay go ahead take yes please uh sister I would ask that um if there is a way that question
She asked the question even before is if there’s a way that you can uh keep and make a note of that because there are people here they speak they they maybe they didn’t get it the Turkish right you’ll get it give it to them later okay
Okay good I don’t want to make the no no problem the time yes okay so go ahead brother yeah okay Alum for your talk earlier um you mentioned about the big problems of or the challenges of the of the um how we need to get outside of the just building of the mid and stuff and the the more bigger major uh issues and concerns of like how we need obviously be um bigger
And better in business and Science and Technology and the rest of it uh but I I just would like your point your view of the more smaller issues that we also facing as in our families within our families of what the 21st century brings with it especially things like
Um which probably the biggest one would be like the gender issue and uh you mean the LGBT qz obviously yes and other types of uh like we we talked about the macro but most of us haven’t gone over the little micro micro we we we’re dealing with all these issues more then
We can’t reach the Stars yeah just without dealing with these things you I mean as families and like things like our youth being addicted to social medias and other kind of substance gaming and the rest of it and being influenced with all the other western or un Islamic things and then also then
Being un Islamic in their own character disrespectful to their own parents and school and the rest of it so yeah those kind of smaller issues these challenges in the 21st century Isa okay you know in the Quran Allah speaks about different fruits one of them is Right grapes but he also made wine
Haram the wine comes from what so uh things that are under the Earth and under the sky things that are under the sky and on the earth they take different variables and different shapes and forms when they take a form which causes harm and the prophet said to
Us there should be no harming and no reciprocity of harm so whenever new phenomenon come that caused harm that harm didn’t come about just like that it was developed and Muslims who supposed to be the or Theif we did not pay attention if we had paid attention it may not have developed that
Way but we you know we are religious people who are like the ostrich do you know the ostrich when the ostrich of course you’re from Australia so you know at least your accent sounds like it so you know the ostrich when when it becomes um afraid you know what it does
It it digs a hole and puts his head inside the hole until the sound goes away not realizing that its body you know the the grown ostrich weighs about 150 lbs so it puts its head in the ground so until the sound goes away or the
Whatever it is but the body is still exposed we Muslims have become like the ostrich we are very religious we argue about religion you know we are very Pious people at least inside the buildings but there are dangers that are happening everywhere that we are neglecting so Allah mentions in the
Quran and ay Um you know this ay in is it huh is that and and and and and fear tumult and oppression or corruption that does not affect those of you in particular who do the wrong right the AY so Allah is promising us that he is Swift in punishment and
He’s going to punish us even while we are living if we don’t do what if we don’t have fear about F if we don’t do the we don’t address it then it comes to a point where the FNA the corrupt ion the danger um the the the filthy things it
Will come through our back door even though we’re Pious people we’re leaders we’re Scholars we’re this we’re that it will come through the back door because you neglected it is just as important as five prayers a day those who don’t do it they have a a deficiency when you have a deficiency
In the eat food that you eat you have to take what supplements so this lgbtq and all that kind of stuff XYZ cuz they got a lot of letters now I don’t argue about them I don’t argue with them anymore it’s a FNA that took place because of our neglect mostly
It’s a test from Allah subhana wa ta’ala but it keeps growing and developing because of our neglect now what happened now if you want to send your children to the public school by default they’re the ones who’s teaching your children so there are many different issues that we need to deal with and
They are like a stone in the shoe it’s not the shoe it’s not the foot but if you walk around with a stone in your shoe and you walk a mile what happens to the foot and this is what’s happening there’s about 15 or 20 other issues that
Muslims are saying you know oh this is Haram people you know blah blah blah you know like and they’re marching and they’re shouting and they’re saying different things whatever the case might be but they never say sub we we it’s because of us we’re not active in the society we’re not Vigilant
In the society we’re not addressing it in society we’re eating our food you know we’re praying our prayer you know we are righteous people we’re Muslims we’re reading the Quran we’re we’re doing uh we’re eating our dates in Ramadan and so forth but we are not addressing the issues in the society and
Because we’re not addressing those issues some of those issues not the good ones but the bad ones it winds up where coming through your back door we ask Allah subhana T to allow us to be honest and to be straightforward brother he’s generous so my name is zuar briu and uh
Some of the brothers have come to me uh with their question they wanted me to tr to translate it from uh from Turkish to English so um as you know many of us here consider the ralur the pearl of the Ottoman Empire and so many people are
Curious about how you found the rec nor how did you stumble upon it in your in your travels or throughout life alhamdulillah um okay I don’t mind to answer that uh brothers and sisters first of all just so you know that like uh I’m not like an academian I’m not
Really like a like an intellectual guy very educated guy um most of it most of whatever God gave me uh it was like riding on a bus you know that’s what I saw um but when I was about 15 years old I was kind of like very angry and one of
My teachers said to me if you want to deal with this anger I suggest that you join the book of the month club you heard of that the book of the month club it’s it’s something that in America well um I did a little a little bit better than
That um maybe I’ve written I’ve read about 6 or 700 books I mean books that are substantial non-fiction books um um Allah blessed me to take a course to Evelyn Woods speed reading course so that kind of like helped me get through books um so I had I had read something
About uh Z is thisi I had read something so I had some familiarity but I had never read it um and what happened in the year 2010 I was I had an office in Oman uh well I was setting up an office there and some brothers um some
Brothers they knew I didn’t have a place yet and so they said she where you going to stay I said I’m going to stay in this hotel cuz it was near one of my friends he said no no no she we have a please
Come stay with us so I told him no no brothers I don’t like I can’t you know I don’t live with people I don’t do that no he said no no no it’s not our house we we have a guest house and there’s nobody in the guest house except
Me so one of my friends said yeah we we we we know this guy we know him so I went there Subhan Allah I stayed there for a month and downstairs I noticed in the room downstairs where the brothers met every week there was a set of red
Books yeah a set of red books and they were in English too and so I started going through them and as a speed reader I read one book like every two days so I finished the this little group of books it was amazing I mean the thinking the power the organiz
Ation and I sat with those Brothers once a week in their and you know I was like the guy sitting on the side I wasn’t like in the middle but I sat on the side so I got something too so that was my first introduction I think my first formal introduction or
Informal introduction to the um uh to the uh to his legacy I’m so grateful for that it just shows that um if you’re wide minded not so opinionated but wide minded open-minded sometimes something that could be very powerful in your life you won’t miss it and that’s what happened to me now
Now I didn’t join any group I’m not a I’m not a groupy but I’m a collector and I have no uh hesitation to say to people that uh the introduction to the s n um uh uh uh letters and uh in my um meeting uh Dr uh s uh bay and his
Group here uh was very fortunate for me that’s how I came across it thank you okay yes please brother Alum uh my name isama I’m from India and I’m also a student of political science and I have a question man Usama Usama yes Usama good name thank you so uh I
Remember watching one of your lectures where you described thef and un as shans and right now I’m a student of political science and we have to somehow work with them and uh as someone who has the same aspirations as everyone else that we want to see a Revival of Islam and
Everything how can uh students of political science work through diplomacy to see that happen that’s the first question uh another no no no no one question at a time okay okay um you Indians they always have two questions uh it’s actually more than two no no I know
That you know it’s just H it’s it’s it’s part of your assle you know you got the best food the best spices and you always get more than one question a very active no I know I know I know so look Usama uh this a very good question
What I want to say to you is that uh political science uh is a good discipline but you should also know that it’s rocky road because in political science either you will have the aspirations to get involved with legislation huh which is very dangerous because maybe you’re going to be making
Legislation or developing legislation where Allah has already already made legislation okay or you’re going to be making friends so you can build leverage for your party in which you me it your party is going to determine your character so just be careful about that however someone of us has to be involved in
Policymaking in order for you to become mature enough to be part of government because if none of us study politics or understand policy development or understand um legislation and management if we can’t do that we’re going to always become subordinate to those who do and we don’t want to be
Subordinate there’s going to come a time when Muslims are going to become dominant Allah is going to give us another chance to become dominant it’s it’s inevitable it’s a gift from Allah subhana wa tala uh it’s not that Adams are going to get another chance it’s not
That that Asians are going to get another chance it doesn’t mean that Africans are going to get another chance they’ve had a chance another group of people somewhere else are going to get the chance to become the representatives the political or the uh uh Global or the environmental
Or representatives of Islam because they will have power and they will have to do what make policy and they will have to do what build their own party and their own platforms I pray that I pray that I’m alive when I see that because and I and I hope that one
Of my sons the youngest son of mine his name is Usama uh I I pray in something that he will be involved in something like that because uh the thing that we’re the most afraid of that the most what the thing that we’re most insecure about is the thing that enslaves us
Because Muslims are unable to manage properly today Muslims are unable manage properly so Allah subhana wa tala he put the management of the Earth in the hands of non-muslims of course according to Tam and I’m just giving a little something here Tam said that Allah subhana tal is just you know he says
In and in the Ayah the brother he recited earlier he mentioned the word you know so who can do that who can establish something with Justice who can who can order the right and forbid the wrong who can do that people with power people in government people who have
Influence people who have uh uh uh people who have control of resources so uh go down the road you’re going but strengthen your Iman increase your knowledge make sure you have a very good plan and make sure that what you’re doing that you have your own
Circle of people that you do it with so that you can influence other Circles of people that’s just my advice for you uh my next question is connected okay that’s that’s it sorry we can talk later on more actually it’s not a question I will
Try to be short my name is Sal Hassan by profession I’m a doctor originally I’m from the lands of Yemen hadot the the lands you have spoken about them actually my grandfather also went to Indonesia to continue the Journey of the grand ancestors to spread
The Islam yeah and uh we came from that place alhamdulillah and uh it’s not only India I went also to Tanzania and I spoke about R nor there I found 100,000 people originally also from Human same for other uh even to Singapore Malaysia is the same even the husband of the
Recent now president of Singapore is Yen manbar yeah so what I want to say actually in 2010 I was introduced to rec maybe you surprise me it’s the same date of you 2010 and at that time I was really astonished to know about rasur since I
Know it from the translator ofan KAS who is the translated to AR actually I got astonished amazed same like you because I found many answers and things that talks about the same Heritage of mine that I have from the grand parents same presented in and then I stayed in madrasa same
Like you and I continued to go to some African countries and to talk about R and I found something good also for me that R tried to connect and bring all Muslim jamaat together theor doesn’t call for itself it talks about the Iman Islam and to bring all of them together
And also to answer the questions about the atheism about uh to prevent LGBT and these Idol and the many of the recent things that take place nowadays and also the the last thing that I want to say in we can some the People Express by many titles some of them they
Say that he Isani some of them that he isran some of them that said that this man sopi say that he’s sopi and everyone looks from the the the glasses that he see but one of the main titles of B is social activist actually yeah why
Sayi is making the people she is the translator sitting beside you and that one s ABI all these people who are working in the community are the student of St nor and they are represented in every corner of turkey and of the world and working for nothing just as
Volunteers and that is the bigol may Allah bless you for that thank you so much yes the last question please Russia just microphone please uh my name is El I’m originally from Russia and I’ve been living uh in Malaysia for over quarter century and now I’m living in in
Turkey uh we’ve been talking about the um uh you know social activism and uh the organizations that uh that are in that space in the social activism space and obviously one of the major uh major concerns of any foundation maybe like yours is the funding uh what strategies would you uh
Suggest for raising funds like uh maybe in the US or maybe in some other countries which are really uh really effective and that could be I mean maybe some strategies and tactics for for management as well thank you that’s um I’m not going to say it’s the best
Question I just say that it’s a it’s a very good question um and it just shows that it it just shows that we are now coming out of our our religious sleep you know we’re coming out of our religious sleep and now we’re asking questions and we have to address
Questions um which themselves will solve many problems so I want to answer it this way in the United States and I’ll start this way because I’m more familiar with the structure of the United States of America uh the United States of America I told you that we there’s about 6,400 mids
Um and if you go to any one of those masss on Friday either they have a sodaka box over there or they’re going to say don’t forget the Masjid or they’re going to pass around a box or some bags or some of them become a little bit more sophisticated now and
You know they got the thing on the wall where you can tap it and put your money it’s still charity religious organization which is dependent upon charity is a static organization they they may be very good they may be very efficient they may be you know impressive maybe they built a good Masid
But they will never go any further than that because you cannot run a school on charity you can’t run a hospital on charity you can’t run a government on charity you cannot run a Masid on charity you can’t take care of a community on charity so if Muslims
Cannot get past this whole idea of not for profit charity based institution I don’t mean they shouldn’t do that but charity should be 20% of their income and 80% should be business so now how do we do that well um the word a or wakf in Arabic doesn’t mean necessarily Islamic or religious
Doesn’t mean that it just means that if it is a wak it means that it has purpose perpetuity that’s the word right perpetuity it’s there forever and it doesn’t belong to any one person right and any profit that comes from it any money that comes from it it cannot be
Owned or shared by any individuals it’s correct so I have been studying this issue for the last 10 years all the massages in the United States of America are being supported by what charity so that means they’re all subordinate to someone there’s someone who has basically got the big
Pockets and they give them some money and their influence comes from that place that means they’re subordinate Allah never wanted a Masid or a school or an Islamic organization or Islamic activity or a Muslim or a scholar to be subordinate to anyone so we have developed something called a a um an endowment
Foundation now it doesn’t mean it has to be a religious but the purpose of life Foundation is a not for-profit organization that we stud that we started uh 30 years ago but we have had problems all the time raising money either I have to travel and I have to do
Fundraising or I have to say uh this or that so so that means that I become Y what sufla so in studying this I met some brothers and sisters who themselves were business people they were in cryptocurrency they were in real estate they’re in Commodities they’re in AI my
Daughter now she’s she’s also uh in some other kind of field and they are dealing with revenue streams and so through talking with them we came up with a model how we can ourselves contribute to the sags so they don’t have to be what dependent
Upon charity they can be free to act and they can grow why because investments will come now those Investments is not for my pocket or shareholders but shareholders can get profit from it because it’s a business right but what happens is that if a $5 million is given to a foundation it can
Invest 4 million and get returns upon it so they can grow and the and 1 million can be set aside for What specifically as they W that it doesn’t change it can only grow but it’s never spent so this is a different kind of model and we looked at
The model of the Prophet sallallahu alhi wasallam how he sustained his organization he didn’t sustain it from charity from business a combination of Charity you know Allah subhana wa T mentions in the Quran in a what’s the verse from your money and your energy so sometimes we don’t study the
Quran sometime we recite the Quran but we don’t reflect upon it so my answer is that we have to come up with creative ways uh to support religion creative ways uh to uh to support our foundations and in my estimation the model is Charity should be 20% and the revenue should be
80% we can get into more details about that and um and I decided better for me I’m not a businessman I like business but I never really made any money in business um so I decided that I should hang around with guys and girls that are in
Business they get something from me but definitely I would what I’ll get something from them and it’s through those people we came up with the model uh and we are going to use that model to change the way that religion is being practiced or understood in the United States of America
Inshallah um uh brothers and sisters is she said this was the last question uh some of you have asked me for my um contact information uh I don’t know how it can be done but I have a I have a QRC code I have a QR code and I can just it
Can be put up on the screen or something and you can just get it and everybody can get it all at one time I wish I had an NFC code then I can just put my phone up all you guys can just catch it all at
One time but um that’s that’s the best way so I don’t have to get stopped and even I have a I have an idea how I don’t have to take selfies sh can I get a picture Shake can I get a picture you know so somebody
Told me Sheck I’m going to make a AI representation of you and we’re going to put the AI representation is going to sit in that chair over there and you can just leave and everybody who wants to take a picture with you all they got to do is
