Hello and welcome to my channel so I wanted to come out with my opinion about the latest episodes of Love is Blind right after the episodes dropped last Friday I woke up early in the morning to watch them I was uh up taking notes on my notes app because I wanted to make
Sure that I gave my opinion right away before people went into the weekend and something told me to stop because every single Time new episodes from this season are released new information is released to the world and uh it doesn’t come from Netflix itself it comes from
Cast members who are not being quiet it’s as if an NDA does not exist for them it comes from other social media Outlets it comes from social media itself the social media Bureau of Investigations is nothing to play with and it comes from actual reputable news organizations this is the season that I
Think and vulture magazine actually did an article about this but this is the season the L is blind experiment finally just broke we know for a fact now there is no denying it that love is not blind love is not blind to how you look when
Somebody sees you you there’s got to be physical attraction there so when everybody says oh looks don’t matter they might not be attracted to everybody but they have to be attracted to you we know that love is not blind when it comes to finances okay and we know that love is
Not blind when it comes to familial relations and how people respond to the person you’re interested in in your family we also know love is not blind when it comes to age there are real differences and discrepancies based on age and I would say more when the woman
Is older versus when the man is older but we’ll get to all of that I definitely was proud of myself for waiting when as the weekend went on more and more information came out about this cast um and just to go down the list of things that have come out about them
Since the show has come on Netflix about 2 3 weeks ago first of all we have the fact that uch and Lydia didn’t date for No 3 weeks didn’t it wasn’t just no casual just run in but uch and Lydia were actually involved on and off for
About 2 years I again say that the producers of this show must do time here here’s the thing too many people have come out and said that love is blind approached them directly to be on the show so the casting producers I just feel like they how did
This slip by you how did it slip by you either Lydia is a category 5 manipulator and uh I don’t know Persuader or they saw this coming from the beginning and let it happen and just let it play out I really am not buying the whole excuse of
Oh we didn’t know and when we found out you know they came to us and they told us that we there’s no way there’s no way and I mean of course there’s a way but it’s just it’s just really unfortunate especially with them having the long
History that they did and we know they had a longer history because Aaliyah came out and got the chance to tell her full experience when she popped on Lauren and Cameron’s YouTube channel late Saturday afternoon Saturday night and Lauren and Cameron if you’re familiar with the Love is Blind
Franchise you know that they’re a successful couple that came from season 1 they’re one of the few long-term success stories from this experiment so they brought Aaliyah on and let Aaliyah tell her story I don’t think we needed that I think we all know she got screwed
In this situation like whether or not she was doing a lot of crying whether or not she uh you know was probably putting her trust in Lydia too soon and trying to build that relationship up too soon whatever happened there just from the fact that she connected with somebody
Who’ already dated someone in the pods like I think for me in general I was like she’s she’s innocent whatever she did or didn’t do after that she’s innocent she made the right decision to go home she made the right decision to get herself out of that mess the only
Thing I didn’t agree with was meeting up with uch afterwards um and having him yell at her in that restaurant but according to him and her even after that meeting they decided to try and date away from the show which I think it was nice that Lauren and
Cameron gave her the opportunity to tell her story because you know I I talked about it earlier in the year but social media works like an ecosystem and when people see you in a position of vulnerability or they see that you were down or they see that you were made to
Look ridiculous that’s often the box that they keep you in and so it’s important for someone who has a better reputation who has a better story who’s familiar with where you’ve been to bring you on and let you speak it can do a lot for your reputation it can do a lot for
How social media views you there’s also people calling for Lauren and Cameron to be the hosts of The Reunion um I do think we need new Hostess reunion because of how ridiculous this show has been I also want to say one more thing about Aaliyah I love the fact that when
The real world finally caught up with her experience because according to her this show filmed around when season 4 was filming like they were filming at the same time when the real world finally caught up with her you know we’re viewing her in this low place you
Know she’s crying she’s been turned away she’s had this traumatic thing she’s had to leave well way you see her now though she’s loved she’s with someone she’s in a good relationship you know often people will ask me uh they’ll say you know why don’t you do personal content
Anymore why don’t you talk about your life I think when you haven’t had that Aaliyah moment it’s it just doesn’t make any sense to continue presenting the same narrative to strangers on the internet if it really doesn’t because people will take you they’ll put you in
That box they’ll say oh well you know this poor thing over here this is this is is oh this is this is who she is it’s unfortunate when you don’t have something to show them like hey no i’ I’ve got this reality and so just for me
Personally I was like unless I can present the internet with a new narrative I’m shutting the hell up when it comes to my personal life it’s very dangerous to have a messy personal life and bring it online and it’s dangerous because social media will not rest until they have exposed every single thing
About your mess which brings me to Izzy and Stacy first of all we know once Stacey got into the real world and she started talking to Izzy about money Bally got money okay she got Deep Pockets she’s got a lot of jobs she has two businesses that she runs
Independently a makeup artist job which social media does not like that because people don’t like her eyebrows and she also has a closet organizing job she also is a Pilates instructor as we saw in episode 8 and she’s an operations manager for an oil company so Stacy does
Really well for herself Izzy cannot match up to that and as social media dug deeper into what was going on um and what Izzy really was about there were people that came out and said oh yeah he lived in my apartment he tried to get out of his lease oh yeah um somebody
Else dated him and they know that he doesn’t have money like if your life is messy you cannot afford to be personal or present yourself as a as authentic because social media going to tear that ass up we also saw when it came to social media Milton so apparently he had
A girlfriend before he went on the show that was probably the truth for a lot of people though they were dating other people and uh you know they said I’m going to go on this show and try this cuz this isn’t working and whatever but Milson apparently had a girlfriend when
He went on the show um she’s come out and said some things she’s deleted some things I don’t know where she has admitted certain things like she took videos down but um that is something else that’s out and all in all this is just a very very messy season a lot of
People sharing information about these cast members before the last episode’s even show at this point Point um for the next season Netflix just needs to go ahead and and let all 10 episodes out because the appetite social media has for extra information is just way too insatiable and when you have people who
Have messy lives get on to a reality show put themselves out there they are in a very very vulnerable spot and so of course they’re coming out with podcasts and they’re jumping on Zoom interviews and they’re you know telling their story oh how can I forget Renee this is
Another thing that came out after the episodes dropped Renee P I’m just going to call her Renee P cuz I don’t know how to say her last name she got engaged in the pods to Carter her and Carter went all the way to Mexico got all the way to
The Altar and didn’t get married so in this scene right here where Renee is shown at the bridal shop she’s not just there as a friend of Lydia’s which is how the uh the edit went Netflix tried to make it sound like Renee was just there to support Lydia but Rene’s mom
Was there Rene’s loved ones are there and I didn’t realize this until social media pointed it out social media also went back I talk about social media like it’s another cast member but it almost is whenever you do a show like this like you have the cast that you see and then
You have social media which casts itself as the um chaotic truth of the situation they’re going to find whatever details they’re going to get to the bottom of their story right so social media went in and rewatched the episodes and saw like Carter and Renee in the background
Of Mexico and so there were a lot of questions and demands to release the Renee cut and Renee ended up doing a interview with pop sugar magazine where she said I don’t really know why my story was cut it would have been interesting to see but apparently
Netflix told her it was for time and because Carter is terrible so I don’t I I don’t know but that was something else that came out and then and then on top of all of this one of the cast members from this past season is like I’m following the lawsuit because they were
Apparently a victim of assault because Netflix did not listen to them when they said I don’t feel safe with the person that I have matched up with they also went to Mexico also got engaged this is the messiest season and I did not believe you all when you said that but I
Believe you now so I am going to officially give my feedback on the last two episodes because I don’t feel like any more new info is going to come out until of course we get to the weddings which we already know by now spoiler alert if you don’t know Izzy and Stacy
Do not get married and while Milton and Lydia get married they I don’t think they follow follow each other on social media and we all know we all know what that means so yeah let’s go ahead and talk about episodes 8 and 9 when episode 8 opens up we are still at this
Disgraceful barbecue where uch is trying to turn every single corner and opportunity into ‘s courtroom he shows up to this barbecue and he is determined to get the truth out of Lydia which I don’t like his his uh his his methods um you know the badgering hand the
Inability to let anything go but I got to say um like the girls later asked Lydia you know when they had scared UJ away CU he comes to he yells at Lydia Lydia’s not having it he goes in front of the girls and he’s like she’s a liar
She’s a terrible friend she poisoned everyone against me and the girls are like no no no usay that’s not what happened that’s not what happened it didn’t go like that she did not poison Aaliyah against you she didn’t even say anything about you to Aaliyah we watched
Her she did not do that which I thought was really really excellent it was a good moment for Stacy it was one of Stacy’s last good moments but once he had left them they approached Lydia and they said hey what is the truth did you
Follow him on this show did you do that and Lydia’s like how would I have done it and you know what even though she asked that question really really believably I still don’t believe her I do believe that she followed him to that show she figured it out some kind of way
Here’s the thing when Aaliyah was on Cameron and Lauren’s Channel she said that Lydia and uch did not date for No 3 weeks they dated for 2 years on and off I’m willing to bet that uchie was using Lydia just for physical gratification and he was
Letting her see his house and his Tesla and his friends but he was never taking her seriously as a romantic option I’m willing to bet that in a in a way he might have gotten himself involved as a Fatal Attraction type energy and as a result Lydia’s Revenge was coming on
This show and ruining whatever relationship or coming on this show and I mean maybe she didn’t intend on that happening but karmically speaking that’s what happened so I don’t I it’s it’s on one hand I’m like God girl that’s so creepy and on the other hand I’m like well uh he may have
Brought this on himself by being terrible to you but I just know that uch really tried to turn the barbecue into ‘s room and when no one would listen to him he finally pulled Milton over and tried to talk to Milton about it and Milton was he gave probably the greatest
Analogy for how people respond in these types of situations that’s ever been given on reality TV and once we meet Milton’s family I wasn’t surprised he he thinks this way at all but he said basically we’re all existing on different parallels I mean he did talk a
Lot about math too but I’m going to leave that out because I don’t know I don’t understand but he said we’re all existing on different parallels and so your parallel is based on your perspective my mom always told me like your perception is like your reality you and her have very
Different perceptions you guys are both grown you guys kind of both handle it but you don’t think that somebody’s past determines their behavior in the future like what if you wanted to talk to Lydia about something very important then she stormed off on you do you think that’s
Like a healthy way to like communicate no but I understand there’s nuances and are situational like you know like this isn’t Pagan theorem going on like this is like multi-dimensional calculus you’re in an X Direction she’s in a y direction and I’m the Z Direction like I’m not even adjacent just like on
A different parallel and uch is like well you know I’m not trying to turn you against her I’m just looking out for you that is a lie every single person he went to and tried to say Lydia did this and she’s this and she this he’s trying
To turn I don’t know why he doesn’t he’s so wrapped up in trying to convince everyone he’s a good guy he’s not able to see his acts of villain right and I’m like listen if you’re going to be a villain just do it if you’re going to
Commit these acts of whatever just do just hey I’m being I don’t care if you think I’m a jerk I don’t like her and I’m looking out for you but I don’t even care if we’re friends after this I’m just telling you like just be 100 with
It right I would definitely say OE is a example to me of somebody who feels intellectually Superior and so because of that he is also kind of making himself a victim because he’s like how can people not see how smart I am how can they not see how right I am I’m
Going to keep chasing people around until somebody sees where I’m coming from and it’s really annoying and it’s really scary and I was happy that he was this is the last moment we see of him on the whole series I I was happy unless he shows up at the wedding like Marshall
Did with Brett um I I don’t think him and Milton are that close by the way Milton and Lydia do get married I I I already said that earlier let’s talk about the mean girl of the Season we thought it might be Johnny and I say we
But I don’t really care but social media is wrapped up in this concept of mean girls and girls girls and this and that and what I always think is interesting about that is you know you got to deal with people based on who they are as a
Person if somebody’s terrible to you but she’s a woman she’s still terrible to you you don’t have to support her you don’t have to be on her side but social media a lot of the times are looking for the girl to root for who’s mean who’s against girls who’s not dear for the
Girls and initially people thought it was Johnny so Johnny has tons of hate threads about her right now all over Reddit people just ripping her apart because not only did she talk badly about Stacy and Izzy once they finally got together but of course she changed
Her mind which is also what Zach did in the season before but people tend to hate women a lot more for their mistakes than they do men so Johnny was really getting it handed to her until this episode when we got to see that Stacy is
Actually kind of a bully in the previous episode she was serving us calm cool I’m going to keep it together whatever but in this episode it was head cheerleader from a 1980s movie and she was she was a bully the way that she started yelling at Johnny about fixing her face what
What why are you even talking to her like you have your man what is wrong with you the way that she went over and helped Izzy so Izzy we already know is a mean girl Izzy we already know was obsessed with turning everyone against
Johnny he is a a baby he’s a he’s a princess baby and he was obsessed with everybody being on his side um when it came to Johnny and for his to go to Chris and to say you know you really should um get away from her because you
Know she told me this she told you that who cares again we’re in the pods people are throwing their love at a wall they don’t know what the other person is going to say they’re trying to win a game like dude if you’re happy in your relationship just be happy in your
Relationship I personally was uh I had a side eye going for Chris and for Milton if you’re with this woman and you care about her you don’t have to listen to what this person says you you why are you still here why are you listening to them but Chris sat there Milton sat
There and they listen to these people come over and tear their women apart and When Stacy showed up and was like you’re were horrible person you’re this you’re that I’m thinking what did Johnny do to deserve this what did she do and the answer was nothing you just have two
People who feel Superior to somebody for whatever reason and feel like it’s their place to be able to rip that person apart and it’s not and later on when they’re at the house before Stacy makes Izzy go cry any utility closet cuz she’s like I’m I’m also not impressed with you
So forget Johnny but before that moment Izzy tells her it really turned me on when you were when you were tearing into her and people on social media were like ew gross why would he say that and I was rolling my eyes cuz I’m thinking we do
We we do the same thing when somebody we see somebody’s behavior that we don’t like we get excited we follow we like we comment when somebody else who is brave enough to have an opinion and puts himself on camera whether it’s a Tik Tok video whether it’s a YouTube video
Whatever and they tear that person’s Behavior down we’re like yeah yeah we cheer and we yell and we like those videos and we like those comments there’s every video I’ve ever done about love is blind somebody’s like oh you didn’t go hard enough on this person or
This person people like having a common enemy they like seeing somebody who deserves it get what they had coming to them they like that and so that’s all Izzy was was voicing and I thought social media’s reaction to that was very hypocritical I mean yes it was a sick
Thing he was admitting to but people AR great okay especially when they have an enemy and they feel like the person that um they’re with is on their side that’s the unfortunate very primitive mind of human beings like we like knowing we have a common enemy and anger sometimes
Leads to sexual arousal it happens but the conversation between Stacy and Izzy when it shifted from Johnny into their relationship was really interesting because I just kept thinking this is not a couple that should get married Stacy is very she’s very she you know what I’ll put it
To you like this Stacy has a lot of eight energy and in numerology 8 is like the number of power it’s Enterprise it is uh bossiness it is business it’s money Izzy is threes and sixes and I I know this cuz I looked not only at their astrology but also the numerology very
Friendly let’s have fun excess uh just love me for who I am just accept me I just want to be in relationships and and be loved and support people and love them this energy is very it’s not the same and it doesn’t always jve together so when Stacy’s talking to him and she’s
Like I’m sorry but you’re not doing what I’m doing that’s just how she thinks very business oriented very acts of service whereas Izzy’s like no I just want to be loved through who I am what why do I have to match up to what you need um I’m watching this and I’m just
Thinking this is not they’re not compatible at all at this point I might have walked away from the situation but they didn’t they kept it going and then later on we see that Stacy meets Izzy’s mom and Izzy’s mom asked the question that a lot of these parents and families
Are asking which is are you sure about this do you really want to do something like this is this really are you really going to be the best person for my child and so far everybody has lied and they’ve said yes it’s going to work out
But we know it doesn’t Okay speaking of meeting the family Milton bringing Lydia home um I mean it was it was it was it was so stressful to watch I’m going to say something here and um I might get a up for this in the comments but it’s all
Right black Excellence is terrifying I’m I’m going to say it I I’m going to say it uh There is almost like and if you’ve seen this movie if you’ve seen this movie and I’m going to do like a deep dive analysis of this movie because it really I I resonated so strongly with
With this it’s not a movie it’s a the miniseries but the other black girl is uh kind of like a dark comedy horror miniseries about the consequences of not matching up to the idea of black Excellence having the right degree getting the right job being the type of
Person that moves the community forward and doesn’t bring us back with your feelings and your inappropriate hairstyle it’s just I’m I’m going to do a deep dive cuz I was like woo I I was expecting to be scared but instead I was like I it it was it was so well done but
Black Excellence is terrifying and and by that I just mean there are it’s we talk all the time in this in in social media in pop culture about uh quiet luxury and we talk about old money and we talk about you know the the cult the waspy cultures of the world but the
Black families who have built their reputations and their legacies on attending the right colleges pledging in the right fraternities and sororities having the right degrees building that real esteem and Prestige to me personally me that is scarier than any uh that that is scary is terrifying because I know that I’m
Not that’s not my I don’t line up in fact when Milton brought Lydia in the house and Lydia was like yeah I have my bachelor’s degree when she said I also have my Master’s I was like because in a house like that you need minimum two
Degrees to be able to eat and create Community within that family when his sister who has been loving the response to People by the way like if you look at her uh Instagram she uh goes by the handle your lawyer friend his sister uh when she said yes I am you know Jessica
This is my husband Langston I was like Langston like Langston Hugh what in the Highly Educated highly successful black Excellence is this like this is these the those types of people are a formidable audience and unless you have the pedigree to match up to them you might as well stay yourself outside and
What makes me so mad about Milton is you know this man you know who your mama is why would you think you could bring Lydia home and it would be okay and his mom tried to hold her composure you know because they’re not going for it Milton’s mom and sister are not going
For it mom tries to hold her composure but sister don’t care sister was like this is phony this isn’t real what are you doing Milton needs his ass whooped for bringing Lydia in the house in front of those two women and I just think he’s he’s been raised in that environment so
He doesn’t understand how scary it is and how inappropriate it is to bring somebody in who is in any way fake who is in any way not going to pass his mother’s SWAT analysis listen if I ever met a man like Milton and he was like oh
I’m going to take you home to my family and look look I just know I’d walk in there and they would be like what do you do for a living and I’d say you know oh i’ make YouTube videos I’ll see myself out like I I know
For a fact I couldn’t pass his mom’s SWAT analysis and neither could Lydia and Milton knows this and I think he is rebelling which is another reason why you cannot date men that are that young it has been documented that the frontal lobe does not fully grow until you’re 25
And I heard somewhere that for men it’s not until they’re 28 I don’t I don’t think it’s that late but you just you can’t do that and Lydia being outside the culture which I’m going to get to that I’m going to get to that but Lydia being outside the culture coming in and
Thinking oh it’ll be enough just to say I love your son please it’ll be enough please they know him they know what they raised him to do they know the type of woman they raised him to probably pick out and they know it’s not you girl and
Milton knows it’s not you what is he doing I was scared for Lydia I was proud of the sister for speaking up and I also was like that that that is a terrifying room to be in if you don’t match up if you don’t have the right College you
Don’t have the right fraternities and sororities you don’t have the right career you might as well keep your little self outside Milton would have had to get me a plate and bring it on out the door and let’s go I I I it’s too much for me I’m I’m I’m terrified
Honestly just just being honest but um I do want to speak really quickly about Lydia being outside of Milton’s culture and being brought in and with this I’m going to go into the next part of the series episode 9 which a lot didn’t happen in episode 9 you know we saw the
Girls they went to the bridal shop again like I said earlier Renee is there um Carter’s there but we don’t really focus on them um I did get kind of emotional with Lydia when she was like crying about how she didn’t think that this day would come and then I also sort of
Wanted to pop her her in the head because here’s the thing Lydia is able to even have access to a man like uch who has a certain standing in the marriage Market in his own culture and that discourse is happening and it is alive and well all over social media a
Learned professional Nigerian man of a certain age ranks very highly in the marriage Market in that particular culture there was no reason for him to go on this show unless unless he’s not interested in women from his culture and he wants to see what else is out there
And um in that case whatever happens happens um it was kind of painful for me to hear Aaliyah say in her interview on Lauren and Cameron’s channel uch was never attracted to me and uh he admitted it and I was like and people called that people did
Call it I didn’t want to I didn’t want to read into that too much but that’s 100% why he’s probably on a show like that he like quame is not interested in diving into and dating and being with the women who have been who look like him who have
Been uh socialized like him who come from the same culture as him and there’s probably a reasoning behind that um that you know that’s whatever but what I will say is that Lydia is interesting because I don’t think she recognizes her position in the dating and marriage
Market and uh it pains me as someone who doesn’t have her position to see her be so dumb you know in my in my Kenya Moore voice like Lydia is the reference and if you know you know um the way that she can just roll into the the house of this
Very prestigious black family without uh having necessarily the same pedigree or or matching up to the standards that she she needs to match up to to be in that house she’s able to get away with that because she’s the preference um the way she had access to uch like I said
Earlier she has access to a man like that because she is the preference I don’t think Lydia knows though I don’t think she knows her her position and how she could really play it it’s like she’s never seen any hip-hop video it’s like she’s never watched any social media of
Girls who are the NFL and NBA girlfriends it’s like she she does not understand that yes she might have had a tough time out in the dating world but it really could just be that she needs to tweak a couple things she like maybe needs to work with a confidence coach or
A therapist because she really does have a leg up and again if you know you know I’m not going to sit here and break everything down but what I will say is that when I see her a 30-year-old woman she’s still very young crying and breaking down in a bridal store I’m just
Like what have you allowed yourself to experience what have what what has happened because all you need to do and this is me if I was her friend is what I would say all you need to do as the preference is get a little bit of
Confidence and and I hate I hate to say this I hate to say this but you really are in the position to just pick better men everybody’s not everybody’s not I hate that I hate people say that because everybody’s not in that position but when you are superficially seen as being a better
Choice well then you might be able to choose better and I’m sorry but picking someone who’s six years younger than you um who you really don’t have anything in common with like every time they get into an argument about her emotion versus his logical feelings I’m just like you people are not compatible
Whenever he complains about her telling him to clean up this is y’all aren’t compatible but there’s a lot of men out there who would love to be bossed around by Lydia there’s a lot of men out there who would love you know who who would
Pull an Izzy at oh it turns me on when you get so feisty and spicy there’s a lot of them out there she does not have to be in this position to me Lydia is a perfect example of change your perspective change your life she she
Really is and so I know from social media’s exploration that she and Milton do get married but for the I hope that they’re not still together I hope that she looks at this experience and realizes that she deserves better that this this I mean and use the use
The power of the preference to get yourself into a better situation that’s what I say when she was describing coming to Houston in 2020 with nothing and meeting uch and getting you know access to his nice things and to his social group and etc etc a man
Just isn’t going to do that for any woman that’s an incredibly transactional relationship and normally they do that for women when they want a specific type of woman on their shoulder they want listen listen I I’m not going to break all that down right now there’s no time
Actually I will break everything down I’ve got time so just really quickly um because I don’t wanted to to come off as if I’m invalidating her concerns and her experiences at all but I’ll just say this every Market has its preference has what the audience in that particular
Market wants to see the consumer in that market wants to see the job market the entertainment Market the social media Market in the dating Market the audience’s preference or the consumer’s preference can vary but time will show that certain looks are preferred by certain groups Lydia has a look that is
Very preferable in the dating Market specifically in urban groups AKA black men like women who look like her even though she may not share their culture or their experiences she is allowed to quote unquote skip the line because she’s the one they want on their arm often times being the physical
Preference can mean that one is more susceptible to superficiality people are just maybe trying to date you because like I said before you’re what you’re the look that they want but it also can mean that one is more attractive to those who view having a partner that means meets their physical standards to
Be the most important and for men that is often the case so by default someone who is the physical preference will get opportunities and access to potential partners that another person might not get another woman might not get specifically what I say Lydia maybe needs to pick better men it’s because I
Know that the I know the market she’s valuable in and as the physical preference if she’s having a hard time it might be time to do some introspection now she is dating heterosexual men which can be a circus all on its own but it’s like holding a
Try out everyone who shows up won’t be able to play on the team and the more desirable you are the more likely it is that lots of people will want to show up she says in the bridal store episode I learned my lessons and this is my reward
But I don’t think she has learned her lessons and I don’t think that this is I don’t think Milton is her reward but her reward is definitely out there and due to her position as someone who is the physical preference for a particular consumer her reward could be great
If she can get it together but all I will say is that Lydia doesn’t have to be in this situation neither does Stacy now if I hear one more argument on social media about uh the difference between how blondes are treated versus brunettes I I promise I’m going to
