Most of my story times this happened I was in college this was my sophomore year I want to say my sophomore year a lot of things happened in my sophomore year by the way because if you’re new here I graduated college at 21 years old um
I was only in college for three years and for people who don’t understand how does all this happen in her sophomore year like most of your stories you tell me it was your sophomore year you have to understand my sophomore year was technically one semester but it also was
My junior year so like a normal one like fall semester will be my fall semester as a sophomore and then a spring semester as a sophomore that did not happen for me okay I had a fall semester as a sophomore and a spring semester as a junior and then a spring semester half
Of a fall semester as a junior and then I was a senior and then I was out of there so it just happened so quick so I always just say my sophomore year so you guys can know it was only my second year while I was in school okay okay
All right so so as most people know even if it’s not HBCU most girlies when they are thinking about college they’re like you know I’m probably gonna join a sorority I’m gonna get out there and do it I’m doing the South you know what I’m saying I’m throwing up the the symbols
Yes ma’am yes ma’am I’m wearing the shirts get it get it you know what I’m saying I’m doing the dances girl you know I’m gonna be out there representing Sisterhood so that’s where I was at I was like you know my God Mom had already
Talked to me about it she had this whole placard of why I should be with the four-leaf clover girls and then I had a in-law who was with the triangle girls so it kind of was like a battle royale yeah like she wanted me to be with the
Triangle girls and she wanted me to be with the four-leaf clovers so Auntie was like listen if you cross with the triangle girls I have all this stuff I’m ready to give you you know what I’m saying once you over there I can tell you more I can talk to you more about
Certain stuff but right now going to give you the preliminary reasons why you should be a triangle girl why you should at least consider it because everybody knew I was gonna go to college like I let what what I did back here trying to mess something up better
I had let everybody know like I’m going to college I I gotta cut it off I don’t mess some [ __ ] up I don’t [ __ ] some [ __ ] up okay we’ll fix that a little bit so I had let everybody know like yeah I’m going to college and I don’t care like I was either going to FAMU or fmu like period I told everybody from the get-go I’m either going up north or I’m going down south it’s no in between baby so um when people knew like okay she’s
Serious she’s applying to schools let’s start trying to get her let’s talk about these sororities and stuff so I had kind of decided like um my senior year of high school I was gonna be a four-leaf clover girl I want to be a fourth color girl I read the
Placard that my God Mom had up in her kitchen she hung it up very proudly the 12 reasons why you should be a floor for the Clover girl like it just she since I had grew up there you know what I’m saying so I’ve seen this record every
Day and just like I was like yeah that’s more of my speed that’s more of like I feel like I can resonate with those girlies so I had decided by the time I had walked across in move my tassel that when I get to College I’m going to look
For those girls I’m gonna get more information and when it’s time to join I’m gonna make sure that my God Mom is with me every step of the way so we were excited you know got to school freshman year I came in hot on my heels taken six six classes just doing the
Most and I had met a young lady she wasn’t young but I had met this lady who was a 16 000 time senior but um who just didn’t want to let go of college yet so she was coming back deliberately because when she was in school the triangle
Girls had got suspended from the campus because of some uh illegal practices so the triangle girls and the four leaf clover girls had got suspended from the campus for illegal practices yeah and so she had her word on the card was they was coming back so she enrolled
Herself into two classes so she could technically be a student you know what I’m saying so she could enroll in the undergrad chapter why she didn’t do grad chapter I don’t know don’t ask me so I guess it just was easier for her to do undergrad than trying to get into a grad
Chapter I don’t know so I I mean like the we were friends you know don’t get me wrong so the way she expressed it she wanted the full experience she wanted to do she wanted to scroll she wanted to throw up the sign she wanted to be in the line
She wanted to do the home she wanted the full experience of what she would have got at her regular College years later on in life so you know most people around the school know exactly I mean they know exactly who I’m talking about but because y’all I’m not gonna blow up
A spot but if you want to fmu you know exactly what I’m talking about so me and her the one that we used to hang out all the time that was my girl you know what I’m saying so I was like okay cool so being around her she kind of gave me a
Lot more information about the the seriousness of sororities and what like the commitment would look like it’s not you know just because you’re in college this is over like this is this is a Sisterhood for life you know these people that you cross with are your sisters and and you know you’re supposed
To create significant bonds with these young ladies get to the community like once you’re out of school you’re you know you’re supposed to train you’re supposed to transition into grad chat and keep your financial status like she just was really giving me the game and stuff and give me a little bit more
History outside of just you know I want you to join it because I’m I’m one you know I’m saying type [ __ ] so here we are um she like Mo you like there’s no I’m not gonna say there’s no HBCU Wise from my understanding there’s not many of the four sororities that
Allow you to even initiate to try to be a part of it as a freshman because there’s a certain criteria of credits that you have to have and coming as a freshman you do not even have credits unless you did college classes so although I had College crisis classes I
Did not have enough credits to qualify to sign up to do it my freshman year so what happened was they started putting out all these Flyers Flyers for an interest meeting for the four-leaf clover girls right so I’m like oh my God best friend this is a serious matter she
Was like yes yes it’s a serious matter so I’m like we got to look at the Flyers see if we can even go to the interest me and whatever so she like um okay so we we you you don’t want to get to see hbcus on talk your talk I mean oh sorry
YouTube hbcus you can’t you can’t do your big one you can’t go around tell everybody I’m trying to be a Foley because that’s how you get blacklisted and that’s how you get bullied and that’s how people pre h word you you know what I’m saying because they know you’re hungry for this
Organization so they will bully you girl they will straight up believe like and then they also put you in predicaments where it you you make yourself like like a like not desirable to the organization so people just be hating the HBC is basically you should be able to say I
Want to be such and such you know you should you should be able to say I have the interest in your organization without having to go to interest me it shouldn’t be Top Flight security you know what I’m saying but unfortunately in HBC World HBCU world that’s how it is
It true they treat it like it’s it’s Top Flight secret shut your mouth you know nobody can’t know that that’s what you’re trying to do so we had to keep it on the cuff so we we wanted to look at the flyer but we couldn’t get caught looking
At the flyer because they were like she she interested you know what I’m saying so what we did was because the Flyers were everywhere let’s Um in the middle of the day like this it’s four o’clock okay so they got an emergency they got him so we decided what we’re gonna do because we used to walk around campus and get our our nightly exercises in so we were we decided what we’re gonna do when it’s
Late at night and nobody’s around campus we’re gonna go over to the the what it’s called Sarah Smith Sarah somebody the brick building over there with the with the ministry yeah yeah yeah where you can sign up for your classes as a freshman over there yeah we
Was gonna go and there was a flyer we knew exactly where the flight was at was that we’re gonna go over there and when we do our loop around we’re gonna go buy the stair the stairway where the Flyers at and we’re gonna take a picture and
Then we can look we can look at it all night long we’re gonna get all day long yeah yeah who’s looking nobody got it clink took the picture and we left so we looking in in the the requirements of GPA disk like my GPA was good because I
Came in on academic scholarship so I had to maintain that GPA in order for me to keep the scholarship which was a 3.8 GPA which I did that you know all three years so we’re like okay we got the GPA um but again what stopped us from being
Able to even attend the interest meeting is when it got to the number of credits you had to already have by the interest meeting we did not have it so we like you know what’s this this about to hurt my heart but we gotta
Sit out like we can’t be a part of it like not giving when I think back on it I should have at least went so I can kind of get like an idea of how the interestingly when it went but you have to do an application in the packing and
Stuff like that so we just was like friend in our town will wait to our junior year you heard that right okay so I’m like okay I went to my junior year the line came out girl line was like 40 people I’m mad cause you know why I
Would have been on that line baby if I had the credits I would have been on that line I would have been on that line y’all do you not understand what I’m saying I sat in them bleachers pissed I said no bleachers like so mad I said no bleachers just like oh
Why me Jesus why it couldn’t come out next year when I was a sophomore you know what I’m saying I’m pissed so I’m just like friend that could have been us we was like that could have been us that could have been us we was we would be
Cute we would have been so cute like I was so mad I was so mad so I said you know what I’m gonna do imma grind I’m gonna keep my nose down I’m gonna keep my GPA up now did I know I was gonna get in the fight with my roommate myself
Right here no I didn’t know that you know what I’m saying I didn’t know that but nevertheless I still try to come across around campus not you know problematic not drama field and not stupid everybody man you know what I’m saying so that’s exactly what I did but the
Problem with me is that they want you to once a once the little girls came out because that line was initiated by the older people because you have to think about it they were not on campus at all we had the girls in the blue and white
And we had the girls who would walk you like a dog we had only them when I came on campus you know what I’m saying so when the triangle girls and the four of these Clover girls finally came back on campus those first lines was brought in by the
Older grad chapter people so it was done strictly on paperwork it wasn’t politics included act the [ __ ] up like it was straight paperwork no politics so I knew I would have made it because on paper baby you you who wouldn’t want me in they ordered like baby on paper
Who wouldn’t want me on your org baby stop playing so I was that girl but here we go me and her stay humble stay down wait to my junior year which is now little did I know turned into my senior year like this in my junior year turned into
My senior year out of nowhere right so Flyers are back up again me and best friend like this is a serious matter I’m like yes yes like we gotta take another picture we gotta take another picture because we got to see the criterias change baby the criteria really didn’t change so I’m like
Let’s get it let’s go so here I go click take the picture right and then the the aura the not orientation the interest meeting is like two weeks away so here this is the plan we divide because you can’t let people know you’re going to the interest me either you
Can’t say nothing until you in that line you take that mask off and say y’all may know me as this thing the third and the third and the fifth and the fourth but today I’m known as acrimony you know whatever the [ __ ] time so you know you
Can’t say nothing until that moment when you’re taking Shades off your head off your scarf whatever the [ __ ] you got on you know what I’m saying and so we was like Hush Hush you know um by this time I had fill out on my service sorority sister
Um and I knew she wanted to be one of the triangle girls she want to be a China girl and I was trying to be a police Cover Girl so I I don’t even know how we got you know what I’m saying that’s how I feel like because there are
You know our mindsets was different anywho but long story short I knew that her plan was to walk by the interest meeting because what an interest meeting was that was right in the Smith Center conference attached to the calf which was a dumb place for it didn’t have to
Interest me I don’t get and look so people was walking by right so she had already told me that her and somebody else was gonna walk past so they could kind of see who was all a part of the interest media so just being messy and nosy I hate hbcus like let
People live why are you walking past the interest me like it’s me at eight o’clock at night why are you up at your bed not doing homework so you can see who trying to be a part of it so here we are I I had on like like gym workout clothes
My job I worked at the gym so people thought you know I was going to work so I had on my work clothes I parked my car by the school conference changed into my business clothes change it to my heels did my hair really like real nice and
Put some cute little earrings in no pearls you can’t wear pearls not till you cross so I just had on a nice little cute little Diamond studded earrings I was cute I was trying to take a picture but I was totally trying to make sure nobody saw
Me so I walk over I’m in line girls start pointing out right now because I’m like good that means less people are gonna try to come over here and see who’s out in this line now mind you let me tell you something about this line girl this line was wrapped around
The building but me I’m a punctual lady so I was there like 30 minutes early so when I got there was on like seven eight people in front of me the people I’m seeing I’m like girl you’re gonna be a 40 . oh my God like I just would have never
Knew I would have never guessed so the line is getting baby the line around the motherland Community it’s thick like it’s like at least 40 50 of us in here 40 50. so they started letting us in they’re checking our buying yard photo make sure we got all our stuff right so
Let me tell you right I’m like in the third row because I was there mad early so they had like eight tables like a table here a tabledale table and you the garage chapter people are there but also the girls that cross there’s a few of them there so I’m gonna
I’m assuming the administration will work you know what I’m saying uh that undergrad chapter was a part of the interest meeting which I personally to me still don’t like you know they shouldn’t even been a part of this so girl how can they telling us about the
Organization telling us if they had a whole slideshow so they’re telling us about the organization and they’re they’re like what they stand for and it’s you know the good old stuff so somewhere down the line one of the undergrad girls that just crossed the year before she gets up and talk and
Whatever whatever and then next thing you know they they’re like so we just want to be very transparent with you guys so you guys can understand like what to expect if you do get selected to be a part of the next um what they call it they ain’t call it line the next
Whatever I can’t remember the term basically the next season of girls um you need to know the criteria as far as like what you will be expected to learn what you’ll be expected to pay the deadlines and how long this process takes to like be done you know what I’m
Saying so they go through the timeline they go through the procedures they go through how to conduct yourself and then on a very very very last slide they give us the price man you should give us the price on the first slide you know what I’m saying to let me know
Whether or not I should be listening to anything else so the price is like fifteen hundred dollars right so to me now fifteen hundred dollars or nothing girl he got that little Pamela cash you know what I’m saying but 1500 to me at 20 years old was like asking me for a
Million dollars right now like admit like giving I think my God Mom would have because she wanted me to do it she would have picture and made sure I had got the money and went around and looked for people to help me out to invest you know like her other her
Sisters and stuff so I wasn’t like crazy crazy worried because I had like 500 my refund check had already came and I really didn’t have nothing to spend it on this time around I had like 800 so and I I was getting paid like four hundred dollars every two weeks or
Something like that if that I think I think like 10 50 at the this the gym uh an hour and I was working 20 hours a week and I get paid every two weeks so you know I had that money and then on top of that I was working at Publix and
I was making eleven dollars there and I was working 40 hours every week and I get paid a week so I just knew with the deadline it had gave me plus the the the support that I had back home wanting me to do this that come hella high water I
Was gonna get that fifteen hundred dollars but at a time when the slide came on I was like [ __ ] you know what I’m saying I don’t know if I can but I was gonna make sure I got the 1500 my best friend I don’t know what her
Thought process may have been at the time when she seen them out but I know for me I was just like y’all really need 50 on the dollars but okay so they opened the floor up for questions right so it was this one girl now around school she’s very
Socially awkward she’s like the the weird girl kinda so I first of all surprised she wanted to be a part of a sorority but she was like the weird girl so she she was like um so we all okay so she like doesn’t really have any questions so oh girl said yeah
I have a question so they go with the microphone and she says um so when we go to set fought the rest of the question anybody out of HBCU knows you do not use that word out loud that’s a cardinal sin baby set it set s-e-t equals the H word
Because set is not a part of a proper initiation at all you ain’t supposed to be no set set what set hut set two set no so she said so what time do we go to set I think that’s a question she asked and everybody in there it’s like the
Silence was so loud why did she say that and because she doesn’t have I’m 100 sure she didn’t have people around her telling her things that she shouldn’t be saying so when she said that the the the grad lady was like the set we don’t do no like set
That’s not we we have chapter beats where we sit down together we go over the paperwork that you’re supposed to be learning there is no such thing as set like kind of like we cleared her like don’t come up in here saying those type of words you’re trying to go to jail
J-e-a-l jail you know laughs she’s trying to make us go to jail so they was like sit her down any more questions so there was no more questions so we broke off into these circles they caught like seven girls at a time so I was at
One of the first selections of tables I was at table number two um and um I was sitting right next to one of the grad chapter girls the girl calling her girls grad chapter women and so she said we’re gonna go around the table we ask you guys a couple questions we’re
Gonna go over your your uh applications as well so she asked me a question first some something along the lines like like what’s making you want to do this so I answered the question why like after be back in front of my answer and then piggybacking
Off of it so she noticed that so she said okay let me go around the other way so then she goes around the other way and then basically now everybody on um and so when we get to the third question uh which is like what is something that has impacted you the most
Um that you’re that you’re you know that you like you’re using to motivate you to continue through college so I talked about me losing both my best friend and most of y’all know I lost my best friend and my grandfather like in a short time frame in high school and my grandfather
Had just died like August like literally August but right before I went to college as a freshman and I was just I talked about that experience and how I use that as a motivation to you know continue to be determined to finish finish school not everyone talk about somebody that died
Like can we please be original at this [ __ ] table please I was getting mad because it’s like you could tell y’all stealing my answer and bringing your own twist to it and it’s pissing me off because stop it like no what were you gonna actually say so then she’s just
Like the lady can clearly tell when I said something the girls around the table just did not have a brand new on so she just started going like you go now you go now you go like so it started being I was answering last because whenever I answer first nobody was having an
Original thought so it was like five or six questions that they asked us after that they um isolated us so they’ll you go back to your everybody go back to the table but you and then we’re gonna go over your application and then after we’re done
With you then you’re gonna go back to the table and then the next girl’s gonna come up we’re gonna go over here so it kind of went like that right so then it gets to me now imagine let me tell you something at that time I I had let go of
My Facebook when I say I let go of my Facebook I no longer even was using Facebook at all um so on there they want you to list all your social medias because they want to raise your social media see what you got going on so the the little honest me I should
Have lied I should have just lied um I’m doing me and the lady having our one-on-one interviews to go out on my grades and application my transcripts all my good stuff right and she she’s eating me up the lady’s loving me the lady is you could tell she’s loving me

Up on Facebook because I don’t even use Facebook no more so she has oh I see there’s no Facebook listed do you have a Facebook and I hesitated because I’m like technically no so I was like no not really I don’t have Facebook so she was
Like what’s not really I was like well it’s deactivated but I read I reinstated if my mom needs to like get in touch with me or something if it’s like an emergency or I can’t get through her like if I like my phone loses service and stuff because my phone didn’t lose
Service a couple times I was in college you know what I’m saying competitive bill so I’m like only like if I don’t have service like I’ll have to reinstate my Facebook but as of right now I don’t have it technically I do not have a Facebook so
This is like but you have a Facebook I said but it’s deactivated so she was like but you I don’t see on your application that is listed and I was like yeah because I don’t use it so she was like okay and then she wrote my
Name on the clipboard when she wrote my name on the clipboard I I gave up because you know what I knew it was something like five names on the list so I knew whoever she was writing on that name these people was not getting in like me I should just straight up lied
And said no ma’am I don’t I actually do not have a Facebook I should have straight up just lied because I could be a four-leaf club girl right now and I’m telling you this background these two pictures would not be these two pictures there would be something
Else I’m telling you right now because I’m dramatic like that and and they will be right here in place of these two crooked pictures so you know I I should just lie but I didn’t lie but when she started writing my name on the clipboard I immediately knew I was not getting a
Letter of like an offer letter to join the organization I had already knew I didn’t even give a [ __ ] that they told us it’s gonna be 46 weeks before we are notified that either somebody’s gonna call us or we was going to get a letter
So I had already knew girl just go to the the mail room in four weeks and you’re you’re gonna get a rejection letter and and I got a rejection letter like I knew it I knew it like I knew it it’s over here talking about some do I
Have a Facebook why why are you interrupting greatness right now ship is yeah she pissed me all the way off but and I had told best friend afterwards she was like yeah you’re not getting it like because that to me that was so Juvenile and it was so petty because if
I’m telling you it’s a deactivated Facebook even if I gave you the handle you were not gonna be able to see anything because it’s deactivated so make it make sense why am I telling you out of social media that I am not currently using that’s dumb use your brain
I was mad I was so mad y’all I was real mad I was real real man and I knew for a fact I wouldn’t get it so when I went to the middle room like four weeks later I had got like a it was like a seal envelope letter from the the sorority
Telling me if Unfortunately they were not able to accept my offering to the organization I and I kept it it’s somewhere in this house to this day because I use it as a reminder that your loss [ __ ] you know what I’m saying I really you know
And I’m glad I was not a part of that line you know why because the line was actually very messy and that line pertained uh my my ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend and her best friend and at the time you know it was just not it was a lot going on at
Like 2.3 seconds the best friend of my ex-boyfriend’s girlfriend was my roommate in time moved rooms and it was a lot going on there and it was drama and I didn’t want to have to keep seeing these two girls faces and then my current new roommate and her best friend
Was also on the line and then at that time me and my current new roommate and her best friend would kind of like beef into so it’s just like damn like I’m happy I was not part of the line because then y’all would be my sisters for life
And I don’t really like y’all so yeah that line was weak sister gal I’m sorry that line was mid at best you know I’m just gonna Keep It Funky Fresh [ __ ] it I wasn’t on the line so the line was me so congratulations girls but nevertheless
Um neither did weird girl who said what time it said she didn’t make no sense she didn’t make it either but at one point in time when I started thinking about I was like you know what [ __ ] damn imma join a different work I was I was really contemplating it
I was really really contemplating like you know what maybe that’s not even who I’m supposed to do with and then they maybe I’m supposed to be I almost with my son um I’m like you know what maybe guys try to tell me like you ain’t supposed to be
A part of that organization that that organization don’t even align with your morals and your beliefs so I was like really really doing research to join a different organization I was gonna walk him like a dog my dryer just stopped at one point of time I thought about it
I thought about walking around like a dog and I was actually seriously gonna do it but let me tell you why I did not do it and why I just said you know what just bump it so my best friends y’all know she had a girlfriend her girlfriend
Was one of the girls that walked him like a dog and then on top of that I was talking to my best friend’s sister my best friend girlfriend’s sister is so many tied links in the story but best friend her girlfriend her sister that she you know crossed with
We was talking for a little bit but it didn’t really go nowhere because I talked slash deal with her homegirl before her homegirl left to campus now mind you the home girl was not the girlfriend on the other story times I mess with a lot of girls
You know I’m not fake gay so I was like it’s kind of messy because that’s like really your homegirl homegirl like y’all live real close back home and y’all hang out for reverse so I can’t really take it there with you but that kind of gave
Me the spill like they kind of told me to Tea about their initiation process and they do some practices that are not legal you know what I’m saying in this cycle you really have to dedicate time like you’re gonna be dead tired it’s gonna be a lot that you have to go
Through and I already went through all of that illegal stuff joining the circus organization eight weeks of it like every night sleep deprived hungry stank you know what I’m saying can’t talk to my friends can’t hang out with boys can’t you know what I’m saying I don’t want to
Deal with that again you know so I just like you know what I’m not gonna walk them like a dog I’m just the Lord said no and that’s what the Lord meant and it’s just it’s written in stone and I I pack my bags and I left
So yeah I never got a chance to try again as far as undergrad because I thought I was going to have a senior year and I said you know what now it’s as a 10 they may have another line for senior year because they’re trying to get their numbers up
Um they may have a line and I’ll do senior year but then I found out that this is your senior year ma’am you’re not coming back next year and I never got a chance to try again which is fine which is fine because in my heart of hearts I feel like you know
Yeah you know what I’m saying now do I we or ski no I don’t you know out of respect you won’t clock me in the head for disrespecting your organization do do I play around with them girls like that no ma’am I although I’m out of college I still keep the Quorum sweetie
You know you can feel it in your heart just don’t say it all out so I just let it I just let it ride and I let it slide and I do not ever first see me join the grad chapter I don’t want to deal with I
Just it’s it’s beyond me now I’m 25 that’s that’s little girl [ __ ] like in my personal opinion I’m too wrong it didn’t get it you didn’t get it let it go let it ride so yeah but I do feel like they missed out I don’t think I would ever became a
Stripper though if I if I was a uh I almost said lettuce if I were to joined you know that organization just because I would have had a superior complex like girl I’m a Foley club girl I can’t be out there in a club shaking tail
Um I would have never did it so I’m glad I didn’t join because I’ll miss out on a lot of money girl a lot of money but y’all eat it up eat it up eat it up before you get old yeah yeah and I gotta fix the one that I messed up
