To do the work of the Lord so we thank our youth we have greeters we have check in we have you see the people here uh the young people here doing worship and we just want to thank them for all they’ve done all those the people that
Work with them as well and their parents and so we thank them for that um I’m here to introduce our speaker for today and um without saying his name is brother uh lee Bryant II he is from Los Angeles California amen he’s married to Veronica and he has a daughter Jessica who’s 20
Years old and has a son of Micah his name is he’s Micah he’s 17 years old excuse me um he is a product of the National Youth Conference and now serves as the National Youth Conference leadership team all right uh he’s a National Youth Conference All Conference
Drama director and uh he also serves on the National Youth Conference as a speaker and a workshop facilitator um he serves um as devotion coordinator for Central Texas Leadership training for Christ the former youth Minister and Associate Minister and deacon at the Metropolitan Church of Christ in Carson California uh former
Deacon associate minister at the Pearl and West Church of Christ in Pearl and Texas which is Houston many of you may know um he also a deacon responsible for the Youth Ministry Family Life Ministry and Technology he moved to Dallas in July look how good God
Is uh he is currently a sixth grade uh CTE engineering teacher at uh kin kener Middle School Este steam Academy in Duncanville ISD D he serves as a minister or excuse me a member at the Lawrence and moer congregation in Dallas uh he also says that he says I love God
I love God’s church and I love God’s Youth and so um I consider him a friend of mine he I’m going to tell my story again as I did this morning um he and uh my daughter she’s uh the same age with his daughter Jessica and they met each
Other at the youth conference and so they went uh this summer to hang out and so out in Arlington and so of course you know we live on the North side of town in Dallas and so they went to hang out and um she calls me kind of late she’s
Like Dad I got a flat my daughter calls me she said I I got a flat tire and I’m like oh got a flat tire so I jump in the car I drive all Arlington and of course you may know that tastes like an hour drive right so in the meantime uh I
Guess his daughter Jessica uh contacts her dad and you know and so by the time I got there he fixed the flag he changed the tired the spare and everything and I mean it’s like 100 degrees outside I know he wasn’t expecting that but you know I’m forever
In debt of him I’d owe him at least a jump or a or changing his tire at some point you know what I’m saying I can’t you know I just can’t you know I’m like this brother here helped me out and so um I just appreciate him and I know that he
Loves loves his family he loves his church um and you know I’m really excited for you to hear him because um you know we go to the youth conference every year and so now you get to kind of see what our youth are being uh or what
They see what they hear and what they’re being fed at the conference and that is one of these brothers right here brother Lee Bryan and so it’s very special day I appreciate all those who work with our youth and I certainly appreciate the youth conference because even for myself
It helped me negro as a young man when I was coming through I know him and brother Brasa are good friends from California and I know they have a lot I’m sure he’ll share that but um definitely want to give out get want to

Said absolutely I forgot y’all got two services and so I’m thinking okay I’ll just gooll through at 10:30 and I’ll be good so he said okay so at 8:00 I was like oh oh oh oh 8 a.m. so I said I woke up last night to get here on time
But it’s it’s such such a blessing to be here uh again thank you so much for for the honor of of uh inviting me out like I said this morning there are amazing uh preachers all over Dallas and for you to even consider me I just thank you so
Much for that uh so I thank I thank you I thank my friend Jeremy I thank the leadership here and uh I thank the members here who know me who didn’t try to talk him out of it uh I appreciate all of that uh I’m thankful for uh my
Lawrence and Martyr family who was here this morning some even came and ate some came so they had me thinking you know they they they must love a brother to come we over here at 8:00 so I definitely definitely appreciate that uh pray for my wife she’s not feeling
Where uh well but my amazing daughter is here with me she drove two hours to to be here to see her daddy so I thank you so much thank you so much for that um I I got to say this y’ I got to say
This I got to say this I know I’m not the only one that thought P3 was up here with no shirt on for a minute I thought P3 had no shirt on I actually look twice I’m like why is that man up there singing with no shirt on about see it’s flesh
Colored it’s flesh colored I’m okay I was about to text your old daddy that man up there with no shirt on singing I’m like just I know when I used to sing with your chest but don’t show it don’t show it that that that’s my nephew right

That up so again thank you so much for uh being here and a shout out to all the young men that that served uh it’s very encouraging that I saw a whole different group of Youth from 8:00 to now that’s saying something amen that’s saying something you had a whole
Different set of groups to lead 8:00 and 7:30 that’s a blessing that’s a blessing I know other places they have the same two kids doing everything but y’all had a whole different group doing everything that is a blessing you need to cultivate that you need to pour into of these
Youth need to encourage these you that’s a blessing even our greeters out front the young ladies out there whole different set of greeters so that that is a huge huge huge blessing so I thank you so much for again allowing me to be here uh I thank God for I thank God for
Jesus because if it was not for Jesus none of us would be here this morning I thank God for a community that believes in pouring into and developing our youth we always say the Church of the future but but no that they’re the church now right so let’s start developing our
Youth now let’s start stepping back and freeing the Reigns now let’s start letting our young men sing and preach and pray now let’s let our young ladies and young men loosen in lobbies and welcome in people now we always focus on on our guest and our guests coming in we
Got youth us coming in as guest too and what big how big is it that if I’m 1415 I’m coming in and I’m greeted by a 1415 you all smiling at me happy to be in the church happy to be in in in Christ happy to be around church
Folks because nine times out of 10 Mama made me come but if I see somebody smiling at me when I’m walking in oh okay okay okay and I’m going to show y’all a secret I’m going to tell y’ secet it as as a young man if I walked into the lobby and she
Was cute she smiled yeah Mama I won’t go back to that church so let’s encourage our youth let’s encourage our youth to use their abilities use their skills use their talents for the Lord in whatever capacity that they are that they have there’s a saying it takes a village to
Raise a child amen but I believe it takes a community on to raise a youth group Greenville Avenue you’re the village raising up your group but Dallas that’s the community Greenville Avenue you are the village that’s raising youth Dallas Youth for Christ that’s the Community National Youth Conference that’s the community that’s
Why it’s important to go to youth events and and Citywide events that’s why it’s important to start raising money now for the National Youth Conference that’s in Kentucky y’all saw that Shameless plug I put in here and that sham public right there the University of Louisville we’re
Going to Kentucky I want to see all these youth there so the community to come together and and raise up our youth so we as a community and I’m so thankful to God to be a small part of of your community shout out to my man Craig over
There you got to say his name like that it’s not Craig brother it’s Craig crying them is it’s just it’s just encouraging to see my Lawrence and Martyr family here they just make a brother think they love him so I do I do appreciate that do appreciate that so I
Understand that the theme here at Greenville Avenue all year has been Faith under construction and that that is amazing it it lets us know that no matter where you are in life we still needs to be worked on it lets us know that I have not
Arrived no matter how long I’ve been in a church I can be a youth I can be an unth but I still have work to be done I can be in the faith since I was 12 and I’m 112 now I still have work to be done
On me I still have things that I need to learn I still have skills that I need to to to to forge and get together I have not arrived I’m still arriving no matter where I am in my walk so my faith is under construction now I don’t know the
Freeways here but in Houston we got some freeways that’s always under construction they just stay being constructed I moved to uh Houston in 2008 and if y’all are familiar with Houston that area around the Galleria that 59 area it’s been under construction since I’ve been there and so then I start asking people
How long has I’ve been under construction it’s always been like that but the thing is the freeway still works we still travel from point A to point B but it’s under construction what’s the point what’s the point our faith we are under construction we are still productive we are still working
We’re still doing the work we’re still spreading the gospel we’re still studying We’re still praying we’re still preaching we’re still singing We’re still worshiping but at the same time we stay under construction because we will never be all the way fit sometimes we look good tear it down under
Construction sometimes we look good a rainstorm comes oh that floods tear it down we’re under construction no matter where we are in our lives we are still under construction we will stay under construction we stay being needs to be worked on we’ll always have issues we’ll always have potholes there’ll always be
Traffic in our lives there’ll always be traffic jams there always be sees world is stop and go we’re always under construction even though it still seems like we’re working all right all right so let’s stay under construction because God is still working on us so I understand that
Uh first quarter your emphasis was uh understanding our faith we need to understand who we claim to be we need to understand who we profess him to be we need to understand what we profess to believe we need to understand where we claim what we claim and where we claim
We’re going we need to understand that when power of faith kicks in we need to understand what we’re expected to do we need to understand that faith is the substance of things hoped for it we need to understand that faith is the evidence of things unseen now to the carnal mind that makes
Absolutely no sense right substance I have it in my hand but of things H for it is not in my hand well but is in my hand all right that makes no sense but to the faithful mind that makes complete sense it’s not in my hand but by faith I know I have
It I’m not in heaven yet but by faith I know I’m there the substance of things so for then the evidence of things not seen that makes no sense how can that that bottle of water is there prove it is right there that’s the evidence but in faith the
Evidence of things unseen I can’t see God but there’s evidence that he’s there I can’t see the spirit but there’s evidence that he’s there the evidence of things you cannot persuade me otherwise that God is not in this room right now you you cannot persuade me otherwise
That the spirit is not going up and down these pews right now the evidence of things that say what’s some evidence we had a whole different set of Youth from 8:00 to 10:00 evidence the evidence of things sang their hearts out my man first time singing sang his
Heart out P3 no shirt on S his heart out the evidence of things unseen then second quarter your emphasis was sharing your faith right if I understand my faith I had to share what I understand let me tell you what I know telling the world the why behind the what telling the world
The why behind the evidence sharing the evidence then third quarter I’m sorry second quarter was living the faith why yall didn’t y’all correct me y’all just saying amen didn’t correct me second quarter was living out the faith hey Patrick your church don’t pay attention man y’all be teaching stuff
They don’t pay attention just saying amen the wrong I’m messing with you I’m playing I’m playing I’m playing so second quarter is living out the faith because once I understand I got to live out what I understand and I love that you didn’t say uh talk about my
Faith because we talk about a whole bunch of stuff a lot of us talk a good talk but the life ain’t right amen I’m a talker I can talk my way into things and more importantly I can talk my way out of some things I’ve talked my body out of a couple of
Tickets growing up in South Central I’ve talked my way out of some situations and I’ve talked my way into some things and and I was transparent at sin I’ll be transparent here um in college I’ve talked my way into places I shouldn’t have been because I can
Talk however the emphasis was living out that faith I’m not going to talk about what I know I’m not going to talk about what I understand I’m going to live what I understand I’m going to live in such a way that when the world sees me like well no there there’s something
Different about you it’s not what you said but it’s what you did not even what you didn’t do is what you did we we focus on not doing thing you know I don’t Dr I don’t drink I don’t smoke I don’t cuss it’s about what we do amen
Not what we don’t do amen when I first moved to Houston I worked for a a call center uh for the phone company and I left that position to go somewhere else and it was you only strict rules you can’t do this you can’t do that you
Can’t talk about certain things and they frowned upon talking about Jesus because you I have to sneak it in a little bit but they frowned upon that so I tried my best to live different I didn’t know it worked until my last day there when I was leaving and a former Co coworker
Pulled me to the side and she said uh I have a question for you are you a Christian and I said yeah and I’m thinking okay here’s my chance to you know get in and and she said you know I figured that because you’re different amen I said nothing to her we
Weren’t really even friends I didn’t really mess with her no she had a kind of a bad never mind but anyway I didn’t really mess with her like that but she said you know what when I when I see how you act I see how you walk in I see how
You walk out and it was something different about you so I figured you have to be a Christian right the loudest sermon the loudest testimony we can give is the life that we live not Bible bashing not tell everybody they going to hell because they didn’t do
Five steps not tell everybody you don’t do what I do so you ain’t right it’s the life that we live so that second emphasis was living out then we share what we live and then finally the uh your emphasis was guarding your faith while sharing we’re going to be hit with some
Things that will shake your why going to see some things that you’ve never seen before you’re going to experience some things that you never experienced while you’re sharing your faith people are going to people are going to people situations are going to situate haters are going to hate amen
And so we have to have the ability to guard our faith in such a way where somebody’s going to take my faith I have to keep you away from far enough that you don’t take my faith while at the same time sharing my faith with you well
I’m keeping you away from me right we have to guard our faith it’s not just well you know you’re this I’m a Christian let me go to battle with you it’s not about guarding like that it’s about preserving what I have while I’m being attacked guarding my faith is
Even when brother weather cuss me out Patrick that’s funny on like 12 different levels but if he comes at me wrong I don’t retaliate not because I’m a Christian and that’s not what we do I’m guarding my faith amen because I want to have a sense of Purity about me and
Guard my faith guarding our faith is in everything that we do am and on top of this while I’m understanding and and and I’m living and I’m sharing and I’m guarding on top of all of that I’m still under construction amen while I’m doing all of this I’m still being worked on
While I’m doing all of this I still realize that even though I’m poting in the right direction I’m on the right Road I’m going forward I still don’t have it all together so I’m staying under construction while I’m moving forward I realize that I would never stop understanding I would never stop
Living out I would never stop sharing I would never stop guarding I’m always under construction so today I want to encourage our youth to guard your faith I want to encourage the parents of our youth to guard your faith I want to encourage our youth workers to guard
Your faith I want to encourage everyone here who’s pouring into our youth and our youth workers to guard your faith amen I want to encourage you because so often times we discourage ourselves there’s discouragement coming all around but sometimes we discourage ourselves and we unknowingly let our guards down by asking the simple
Question what if seems simple that’s not one of the big questions but it’s a big question we ask ourselves what if what if I’m not good enough what if I try but I fail what if I’m trying to be a Christian but I keep on sinning what if every time I
Try to do right I keep on doing wrong what if I do one right but then do 12 wrongs what if I come in and and I’m trying to read scripture and I Stumble and I get embarass now don’t do it again what if I’m trying to sing out but
People laughing at me because I don’t have a voice like P3 and a flesh color shirt what if we ask ourselves what if what what if what if I’m out there and I’m trying to share Christ I’m trying to share scriptures but that person know just as much as
Bible as I do so every time I quote something they quote something back and I have no comeback what if somebody ask me a question and I have no answer for it what if I’m tempted and I had a good week until now what if I feel so bad I can’t even
Well I think I can’t say communion what if I’m working so hard to do right on and I’m doing right yeah but the open the the the the uny young members still won’t respect me and so we ask ourselves these what ifs and we start doubting ourselves and
Beating ourselves up and unknowingly we let our guards down and I’m going to be honest with you I struggle with what ifs too amen and if you’re honest with yourselves you struggle with what ifs too I know our youth struggle with what ifs if you’re an adult in here you
Struggle with what ifs amen and if we don’t see it you’re what if is what if they know I what if we all struggle with what ifs all right as we’re being under construction as we’re growing we struggle with what if if we overcome one what if there’s another what if waiting
For us all goodness Here Comes something else what if and when I struggle with my what ifs my personal what ifs I love to look at one of my heroes in their faith I look back at Moses yeah God Called Moses to do some amazing amazing things but before Moses did those
Amazing things Moses had some amazing wh ifs so if we look at the text this morning actually before we get to chapter 4 let’s jump back to chapter 3 Moses has some what iss and we all know the story of Moses how how Moses was at work one day he was out there
With the Sheep doing his job and then he looked up and he saw a bush on fire and it was crazy because the Bush on fire fully engulfed in flames but but but it’s not burning up and okay that’s crazy and it’s it’s funny how for all
These years we we say the burning bush but I thought about it okay the bush is on fire and it’s burning why we calling it The Burning Bush and it’s not burning like the unb burning bush that’s on fire is it’s so crazy we can’t even
Give it a a real name because it’s burning fully engulfed in flames but it’s not burnt to us that makes no sense but to the one in faith oh that makes complete sense because that’s the evidence that substance so Moses sees this bush this Bernie says no I got to take a closer
Look at that which if it was me I see a bush on fire but not being burnt that’s that that that’s crazy and and I think today we would had two responses either we would have ran or we would have we would have where’s my where my phone we would have picked the
Phone out like like oh buron [Laughter] but but he saw this bush and said I have to take a look at this we know the story he he walks up to take a closer look because he knows you like that and then God starts talking take off your shoes
You’re on Holy Ground Moses like oh that’s crazy take the shoes off and now they’re talking back and forth and God says okay you know what since you’re here it’s time I have a job for you yeah God tells him the job Moses like um um I don’t I don’t got um
Um what what happened was uh um okay okay okay okay I don’t think so what if he begins to doubt himself he begins to protest Moses says who am I to appear before pharoh who am I to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt in other words Moses says what if
I am not good enough so many of us have said that at least once in our lives what if I’m not good enough and the thing is God has called all of us and then we say well what if I’m not good enough the God who
Spoke the world into being the god that said let there be The God Who is Forever The God Who placed all of these things The God Who holds the world in his hands the God says I want you oh what I God literally formed us with his
Hands and then we say oh what if I’m not good enough we say things like who am I to share the gospel with the life I used to live who am I to expect God to forgive me and all the dirt I’ve done who am I
To try to encourage somebody and I need encouragement myself who am I to pray for somebody and I need y’all to pray for me but not just prayer prayers I need those big mama prayers to pray over me who am I to be praying for you and
I’m the one I need prayer amen what if I’m not good enough God Called Moses say I want you to do a job and Moses says what if I’m not good enough but I love how God didn’t even acknowledge Moses’s perceived powerlessness God’s answer was man I’m
Going to be there amen what if I’m not good enough I’m going to be there God let him know that the all power God let him know that he would be all powerful and all of that power would be there with him right when I look in the mirror and said
What if I’m not good enough I remind myself God’s God is is bigger than my what if amen well what if I’m not good in enough God is what if I’m not strong enough God is what if I’m not brave enough God is what if I can’t speak well
Enough God is what what if what if I get out there and I just freeze and I don’t know what to say God is what if they won’t listen to me God is what if they don’t respect me God is what if I just can’t God is God’s God is is bigger than
My what if so I want to let you know right now no matter where you are in life if you’re doubting yourself thinking oh what if God is I didn’t say God can I didn’t say God can God is and God’s God is is bigger than my little what
If no matter how hard it is God’s is is bigger than my little what if so Moses saying you know God uh uh what what if I’m not good good enough God said I’m right there with you I am all powerful and I am there with you but that wasn’t good enough for
Moses cuz he’s still feeling himself in a wrong kind of way so Moses was like okay okay okay okay okay so um in verse 13 he says well what what if they ask me uh what your name is Moses is saying okay with all that you expect me to
Say I’m going to have to name drop because you ask me to do some crazy stuff so they’re going to be asking some questions who sent you why you here prove it okay God now now remember I I used to live there right and and and people going to remember the dirt I
Did I mean remember the reason I left because I killed old boy and I hat him I thought nobody saw but then people saw and they called me out and I R they still live there so now I’m coming back saying oh God’s going to free you oh that’s old boy that killed

I am they know that God was they’re waiting for it God is and they need God will be but God is saying all at the same time I was I am and I will be all at the same time so God says to him I am
With you he says I was with you I am with you now and I’m going to be with you forever amen I am who I am I was I am and I’m going to be all at the same time that’s crazy but it makes sense because in faith that’s
The substance and that’s the evidence God has blessed me next year right it already happened today the blessing is there here see our problems are and our our limit is we live inside this thing called time that God doesn’t live in god holds time in his hand so God can say

I’m thinking okay what am I going to do I’m worrying about I am job I’m worrying about it when of my members he’s a principal he introduced me to education like why you never thought about education I didn’t have an answer because I love the kids actually y’all know what full
Transparency my real thing was I I love church kids but the worldly kids I can’t choke them and I knew where I was spiritually and mentally and emotionally at the time if I was in a classroom I I choke the kid so God had to work on me God had to work
On me so he introduced me to education I got into education I’m working there but then that’s when the state took over at Houston ISD and things became a mess down there then I couldn’t find a position in any the school dists down there and then Duncanville ISD called
Me so I called my friend Roman I said said amen I’m sneaking into town for for an interview if God work this out I might be moving to Dallas the timing was perfect because my son was graduating my daughter had already graduated nobody was tied to the
City so I’m thinking okay this is H yeah I sneak into town I go to the interview they offer me a job on the spot so now I’m like then I find out my principal goes in marceles h all right it’s all right I’m worrying about things and God saying
It’s already taken care of I was because I maintained you I am because you ain’t got no job but you still eating and I will be yes sir because I got a position for you I got a church family for you it’s all laid
Out so am I oh what if I can’t provide for my family oh what if I don’t find another job o what if God saying my my my God is is bigger than your what if man got here and didn’t find a place to stay like oh stay here as long as you
Like first I like who does that and then I I thought too I didn’t tell them this but I tell them now I was like you know are y’all sure y’all know um are y’all sure it’s like stay as long as you like and I’m in there getting comfortable B
My own air mattress start hanging up clothes going out to eat with them start claiming the house getting mad when people come over cuz I wasn’t talking about yeah y’all didn’t clear this with me but God works all that out so why worry about God’s job and I just do my job but
Then God tells him another way another name he says but then tell them Yahweh Yahweh the god of your ancestors Yahweh the god of Abraham the god of Isaac the god of Jacob has sent me to you this is my eternal name my name to remember for all generations God
Smooth name dropped within a name drop while he was name dropping now only tell them Yahweh but tell them Yahweh the god of Abraham the god of Isaac the god of Jacob to them this was their big three their God but not only just their God the god that’s
God forever that God that God sent me now a name was very very important at this time because name wasn’t just how you identify somebody name showed character and nature so when God said tell them Yahweh what God was really setting Moses up to
Do was I want you not only to tell them who I am but I want you to tell them my very nature and as we’re sharing our faith we don’t just talk about Jesus we don’t just talk about church we are sharing the very nature and character of God
Amen so God said tell them my name is Yahweh because I want them to know my nature what is the nature of Yahweh Yahweh is self-existent Yahweh is self-sufficient Yahweh is eternal when we hear Yahweh the people understood oh this is the god that always existed and
Will always exist this is Yahweh when the people heard Yahweh they understood Yahweh is relational not only is he forever but it’s crazy because he is forever he doesn’t need us yet he desires relationship with us this is Yahweh Yahweh means Yahweh is with us no matter what so they understood when we
Hear Yahweh this God that’s forever this God that’s relational this God is going to be with us no matter what no matter where we go Yahweh is there no matter what situation we find ourselves in Yahweh is there on my high points Yahweh is there on my low points Yahweh is
There when I’m in a dark place Yahweh is there when I have nobody to talk to Yahweh is there when people don’t understand me Yahweh is there when I feel all alone Yahweh is there when the people heard Yahweh Yahweh is the unchanging hand Yahweh remains consistent times change Yahweh is the
Same situations change Yahweh is the same that money change Yahweh is the same church folks change on me Yahweh is the same family may change on me Yahweh is the same I wake up and this is completely different but Yahweh is the same when they heard Yahweh they understood that he remains
Consistent because Jesus is the same today yesterday and forever more Yahweh is consistent when the people heard Yahweh they stood that Yahweh is the holy God now this God who is self-sufficient self-existent always exists this Yahweh this God who is relationship Desiring relationship with us this Yahweh who is
With us no matter what no matter where we go this Yahweh who remains unchanged this Yahweh is a holy God he relates to us but he is not like us he is on a level that we cannot even imagine he is on a level that we cannot see is set
Apart so far we cannot reach yet he reaches out and touches us Yahweh so when the people heard Yahweh they heard that Yahweh is a covenant Keeper in other words Yahweh keeps his promises his word is bond his word is powerful in fact yahweh’s word is so powerful that his word became
Flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld the glory of Yahweh his word is strong his word is bond he keeps his promises so when God name dropped God name dropped let them know I’m all of this not just the Lord God but the god of
Abraham you know got to say it like that the god of Abraham the god of Isaac and the god of Jacob so at this point I would think I’m good I’ve heard all of this plus this Bush is still on fire it’s not getting burnt up I’m
Good but Moses in chapter 4 in our text had one more what if Moses acts in chapter 4 verse one what if what if they do not believe me what if they won’t listen to me what if they look at me and they say man God ain’t sent You you know that that’s how we talk to each other especially siblings mama said come in the house man Mama didn’t say nothing Moses says what if after all of this what if they don’t listen to me that’s a struggle that many of us have today as we’re trying to spread the
Gospel and and share the gospel and and live out our faith what if they won’t listen to me and it’s even harder now because the spiritual culture has shifted now more people know that book now more people can quote like we can quote yeah now more people can stand firm like
We stand firm on now now more people can defend what they believe like we defend what we believe so it’s not as easy anymore we hit them with the scripture they hit us back we hit them with a three piece they come back with a five piece what if they won’t listen to
Me God addressed this w with a question of his own in this time where more people have their guards up and this time where now more people can go back and forth with with with with with what they believe and in their studies and in their memorized text and and their proof
Text what if they won’t listen to me we’re the one church baptism is essential they say we did the same thing what if they won’t listen to me this time God answered that what if question with a what question of his own God looked at Moses with all of his
Wh ifs all of is what if I’m not good enough with all of is what if they don’t listen to me with all of is I can’t all is I I I don’t I don’t I don’t I don’t I don’t talk that well God hit him with question God said
What that in your hand all of this self-doubt all of this I don’t believe in myself God said but what’s in your hand God what if God said well what is I just can’t well what is I don’t know if I can make it through well what
Is God asked them what’s in your hand I want to encourage yall us this morning don’t worry about that what ifs let’s focus on that what is don’t work don’t worry about something that’s not even there focus on that what is yes whatever what if we have in our
Lives God’s is is bigger than our what if amen God who is always with us the all powerful God The God Who is always with us The God Who was the god who is and a God who will be all at the same time God the Lord God the god of Abraham
The god of Isaac and the god of Jacob the same God that same God who said let there be light that same God who separated water from land that same God the same God that spoke and things started happening that same God that same God that put on flesh and walked
This Earth and became a living sacrifice for us that same God that same God who went to the cross and defeated death and got up the third day that same God that same God right now is asking each and every one of us what’s in your hand what’s in your
Hand your theme is uh Faith under construction I’ve been talking about that all year here’s the crazy thing about Construction Construction does not start until all materials have been delivered that’s right construction does not start until all materials have been delivered so if your faith is under construction this morning guess what you
Have so if I ask what’s in your hand oh there’s some Faith right there because it’s under construction if there were no materials there would be no construction projects have been delayed because there have been no materials now Co mixed everything up and wood wasn’t coming in so houses weren’t being built
Stuff wasn’t at the stores because there’s no materials no construction taking place but once materials come in okay now we’re under construction so if you’re under construction we think it’s a bad thing oh Lord I’m being worked on no that’s a good thing because you got those materials in your
Hand all right so God asked Moses what’s in your hand I know that the King James says uh it is a rod and we say it like Moses was like oh I have a rod in my hand but that that’s not what Moses is talking about in reality Moses like it’s just a
Stick it’s just a stick and many of us have so much talent in our hands right now come on now God has blessed us with so much and we defeat ourselves because we say oh it’s just I shared this morning at 8:00 amazing greeters in the lobby if you’re a greeter I bet

Sister standing next to a young sister and both of them just smiling and I’m thinking all that stuff I went through that don’t even matter because I’m here one of them gave me a hug and I’m a huger one of them gave me a hug I’m like a and my whole demeanor
Changed I walked in and that stuff that was on my shoulders I left it out in the parking lot I hope somebody swept it up cuz I don’t want to pick it back up so we’re not just anything amen our greeters in front they actually are the
First line of us that visitors see coming in if they not smiling how you think think about us they walked in the mean people up front trying to grab my information telling me what it said so it’s never just a all right if we are under construction materials are in our hands
Right now Moses said oh it’s just a stick but notice God said hey hey man you know what throw that stick down watch this that just a stick did am amazing things that just a stick did legendary things that just a stick did things that we are still talking about thousands and
Thousands of years later but oh it’s just a stick God said throw it down watch this I want to encourage all of us this morning there is untapped power in you right now there is power in you waiting to explode right now there’s a testimony in you right now you can do
All things through Christ who is in you right now his divine power has given you everything for a Godly life through your knowledge and him who called by his own glory and goodness right now right now you can be steadfast right now you can be unmovable right now always abounding
In the work of the Lord because your labor is not in vain right now right now you can be prepared to preach the word be instant in season out of season correct rebuke and encourage right now you can show you’re a disciple of Christ by the love that you show for one
Another right now that’s you right now if you have a little light let that shine right now right now oh it’s just a little light throw it down before the feet of God and watch him get to work God has given each and every one of us a
Stick God has given each and every one of us a stick amen our sticks are personalized our sticks are spiritually and heavily engraved with our name on them before the foundation of the world we have had a stick before we were even born we had a stick before our parents
Met we had a stick before Jesus went to the Cross we had a stick before God said let there be we had a stick so if God gave us his personalized stick is not just a stick all right the real question is are we ready to throw
That stick down before God’s feet and watch him do amazing things Moses said oh it’s just a stick but with that just a stick God turned that stick into a snake God turned river water into blood released frogs that covered an entire country turned dust into light that
Covered the land summoned Thunder and hail and fire from the sky sent Locust all over the land that ate up everything covered a land with Darkness parted the Red Sea released water from the rock gave Israel victory over the amalekites hit another rock and water came oh but
It’s just a stick throw that stick down before God about do amazing things just a smile made my whole day just some songs lifted my spirit and connected me with God just a young man leading Us in communion reminded me of the great sacrifice we made just a young
Man praying connecting me with God and said thank you for praying for me because I wasn’t there earlier just a young man reading scripture caus me think hey you know what hold on I didn’t think about that text that way let me go back home and study that
Again all I did was read scripture No you physically manifested the word of God in our presence each and every one of us have a stick but it’s not just a stick it’s a stick so we should say it with pride we should say with full confidence we
Should come in and know what’s your talent oh you know I just shake hands I shake hands because if I didn’t greet that person he’d be mad coming in we all have a stick so we should sh say it with our chest no matter if we perceive our
Sticks to be a big important sticks if it’s just a little bitty twin stick we all have a stick and say it with pride as a matter of fact everybody say it with me I got a stick I got a stick say it with your chest I got a stick stick
Be proud of that stick and throw that stick at the feet of God and step back and watch God do some amazing things with your stick I have a stick I have a stick because we do all right what’s in your hand what’s in your hand God has
Placed some amazing things in your hand don’t clutch it don’t hide it don’t put it away because what if what if they don’t like my stick what if my stick isn’t big enough what if my stick is still green it’s not in season what if
My stick hasn’t laid out in the sun and it’s not seasoned enough but what if my stick is brittle what if my stick breaks what if they don’t like the smell in my stick what if everybody have Oak sticks and I have a Hickory Stick amen what if my stick clap never mind
Never mind never mind we all have a stick amen spiritually engraved with our names on it because God knows if I give him this stick if he throws it down is going to do some amazing things we saw that manifested today this young man saying for the first time he has a
Stick a whole different group of Youth serve different from from 8:00 Greenville Avenue y’all have some sticks the question is what y’all going to do with these sticks well you know this is still little Dusty the bark is chipping you got some sticks I don’t know what to do with this
Stick throw it down at the feet of God and watch him do some amazing things Faith under construction guarding your faith as he guards your faith never forget God has placed in each and every one of our hands a stick don’t compare your stick to anybody else’s that’s your stick don’t
Judge your effectively on somebody else’s that’s your stick God’s expectation is put that stick at the at my feet watch me show you what I’m going to do then pick that stick up and do some amazing things for me go out there and part seeds go out there and bring
Water some rocks go out there and feed people go out there and serve people go out there and bring people in go out there and defend your faith with the stick that I placed in your hand what’s in your hand what’s in your hand everyone has a stick let’s stand up God
Loved us so much he loved us so much his word is so powerful his word became flesh and dwelt Among Us his word in the form of Jesus live no did no sin so we could be declared sin and be called his righteousness God took all of our sin
And put it on his perfect self so that we can be perfected so that we can be under construction Christ wented to cross for us but Christ did something way crazy he allowed himself to die allowed himself to be buried but then he defeated death walked up out of that grave all power
Given unto him we must die in a certain way a similar way we die to sin we say no to sin all repentance means is I change my mind about the way I live instead of walking this way I’m going to walk that way amen I’m changing my my
Mind about something I’m changing my mind about how I perceive sin I’m changing my mind how I perceive about being outside of Christ so I’m going to repent turn around and go back to him when we’re baptized we’re dead because now we’re dead to sin we we bury dead
Things and so we’re baptized and just like Christ defeated death we defeat death we’re brought back up but now you know what I was dead but now I need new life in me yeah so that’s why God gives us the gift of the Holy Spirit God breathes into US him

Evangelism EP episode of the SG life series and we’re asking all um Service Groups to wear your service group t-shirt uh or your color T-shirt so hopefully you know what that is if not reach out to your service group leader and they’ll give you the right correct
Color but that will be next Sunday um we also have a few announcements from uh Southwestern we um that will be uh the lectur sh starts today at 2:30 at Southwestern Christian College it says a Bridge Over Troubled Waters coming from Hebrews 11 and 25 and they have um
Really good speakers here and that we hope to see you there at the lectur ship um we have the ladies a program the annual Southwestern uh Christian College Ladi lectureship ladies day program will be tomorrow October 30th from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and it will be held at the West End
Church of Christ um in Terell Texas and there’s a lot of uh great speakers uh for this ladies day program as well so sisters hopefully you can make it tomorrow um we also have uh the singles banquet the singles banquet is coming on December 9th from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. um
At the higho event center and so we’re asking all singles to come out to this event it will be uh very great it’s a semiformal attire is encouraged and the cost is $50 um and you can go on the online uh it’s in the bulletin and you can register through uh the online
Um online so flyer come out but please go and register for that also um we have the southwestern Christian College alumni mixer and so that’s more of like a everybody fellowship and no no other mixing going on okay so that’s that’s uh going to be held Saturday November the 11th from 4:
