This has become international news this was definitely something that was heavily spoken about locally you will understand why but more recently 18 fraternity members involved were convicted of involuntary manslaughter amongst a handful of other charges and this just happened in May of this year and essentially they received no
Punishment which is kind of what triggered this larger conversation their lenient sentencing has caused widespread frustration and conversations about things like elitism and racism issues within the justice system and sentencing and as if there wasn’t a large enough conversation even more recently a YouTuber by the name of aid who is
Apparently one of the largest Dutch YouTubers was actually banned from YouTube for a week and is now facing seven sum charges for doxing those involved because not only did these 18 individuals receive lenient sentencing but they’ve also been allowed to maintain anonymity thanks to a court
Order so none of the media is allowed to publicly say their names um and so I’m legally going to be following that court order I don’t need to be sued um and just be mindful of that when you go forward and your comment there’s a lot of people out there trying
To say that they know all of the names of the different individuals and because there’s no way to confirm it because this is all sealed by the court just again be very very mindful But the irony in this entire case is just baffling the fact that a YouTuber is now facing
Harsher sentencing by the way for revealing the names of those formally convicted of involuntary manslaughter in my opinion is only highlighting the issues that this case brought up to begin with there is a lot to go through as I warning this is incredibly graphic and upsetting so buckle in prepare
Yourself and let’s get into the details so Sadia was born Thursday April 9th 1998 in Belgium and his mother was from Belgium and his father was a synal refugee he grew up alongside his brother watching as his father made sacrifice after sacrifice to ensure that his sons
Had a very bright future and as I’m sure you can imagine this basically was fighting an uphill battle of learning a new language getting job settling into a new community and basically hoping that the new community would accept them and S and his brother would have every opportunity that they deserved and
Worked so hard to have s was well-loved his entire childhood into his early adult years he was just a very happy go-lucky guy that got along with anyone he had The Uncanny ability to make friends with anyone in front of him he had a warmth to him that would draw
People in and make them comfortable you couldn’t be around sa and not feel happy not feel good about yourself and not feel welcome he was also very ambitious setting goals for himself and coming up with all these new ideas um these creative plans he was always sharing his
Dreams with those that would listen and amazed everyone with his intelligence you guys he was sharp as attack there was no challenge at all too difficult for sa and there was not anything that he wouldn’t at least try once his friends always admired his ability to do
It all somehow he was always m mastering every single new skill that he took on he immediately knew how to perfectly play every new game the effortless way that he approached all things was honestly mesmerizing he also had a strong love for Japanese culture he loved anime made a promise with one of
His best friends early on that one day they would move to Tokyo but before that he had a dream of going to University this was a huge deal for S and his family because no one in his family up to this point had been been able to attend University for a plethora of
Different reasons and so a lot of his school years from elementary middle on was working towards this goal and he made it happen you guys and Not only was he accepted into University the first of his family but he was accepted into KU Len which is Belgium’s highest ranking
University and last I checked it was actually ranked 48th in the entire world this was absolutely mind-blowing for s and his family his father was finally getting to watch the hopes of all these sacrifices coming to fruition his son was going to be so successful and was
Making such big moves in the world and S push the seal even further by starting a 5-year program to get both his Bachelor and his Masters studying civil engineering he hoped to one day work on massive infrastructure projects build roads build Bridges airports all of these things to help make the community
A better place and in 20 2018 s was in his third year attending KU Len he was getting great grades he was excelling in his studies but he also was only a few years away from graduation and that can be a very daunting thing now he had to
Start thinking about getting a job while sa had thrown himself into his studies very successfully at that it was not lost on him that he still would likely struggle to get a job for a plethora of reasons so he decided that despite being in his 30 year he needed to do something
And that something was join a fraternity now s’s friends and family were honestly shocked upon hearing this s was just not the kind of person that seemed the fraternity type but s being intelligent as he is he had a very specific reason for wanting to join he knew that he was
Going to need connections he needed the ability to network because who you know matters especially in an environment like this coming out of such a a prestigious school where there’s you and so many other people all studying the same things all trying to get the same
Jobs and he is the black son of a refugee so he again was dealing with these uphill battles research had shown that belgians of African descent had a very large unemployment rate regardless of the high level of Education that they received and S didn’t want his hard work
And all of his father’s sacrifices to go to waste so he told his brother if you know them it’s good for your network and when you leave school they’ll trust you a lot faster he was hoping that by joining some sort of fraternity that he could end up ultimately walking away
From graduation with a job already lined up which is something that is almost unheard of it feels like nowadays a few of his friends had been in fraternities their entire college experience so it wasn’t like he was entirely unfamiliar with how it went what the life would be
Like and they all had great things to say about it so he figured why not so he was willing to do whatever he had to do to make sure he was getting ahead so that year he made the decision to join the and I’m probably going to pronounce
This wrong but I believe it’s rouah home fraternity at KU Luen now it was the most exclusive Fraternity in the entire school rolm was established in 1946 and was known for being the fraternity of choice for the country’s Elite it was a fraternity that was shrouded in mystery
Adding to its appeal feeling like the secret society that you basically had to win the lottery to get into members were all either studying things like law or engineering and they also were all white except for one black man that was initiated in the fraternity in 2015 that they allegedly nicknamed
Rafiki so you’re already kind of seeing where this is going most of the members were children of judges and attorneys dentists doctors politicians basically people with extreme power and with power comes privilege and advantages and so this kind of networking could potentially be life-changing so he became the second black person to ever
Join the rouah home fraternity now with most fraternities as I’m sure you guys are fully aware there is usually a hazing process and I’ve briefly spoken on my thoughts on hazing and other videos and I personally think it is an absolute joke I think it allows people
To do very illegal things under the guise of traditions um and had there not been the label of hazing slapped on a lot of these different things they would absolutely lead to arest um but I will not get off on a tangent on this but anyways hazing is usually traditional
Rituals that are passed down inflicting things like humiliation and mentally and physically exhausting tasks to initiates it’s not really a good time when you’re in the middle of it all basically to see if these people are deemed worthy to members and so you have to go through
This hazing and sck it out and make it through and usually if you do you are able to join the fraternity or the sorority and rouah kept their hazing rituals sealed tight you guys when I say secret society in regards to this fraternity it is no joke okay nobody
Knew anything about this fraternity other than the few rumors that swirled about about what becoming a member of the fraternity entailed and it honestly scared a lot of people away from attempting it first and foremost because this was such an exclusive fraternity they only allowed in like one to maybe
Three new members each year um and it was a very difficult process rumors of pits of ice water involved in hazing excessive excessive drinking and honestly just downright brutality and while most fraternities participated in a week or so of hazing rouah holm’s hazing process was well over a month
Long and known as being the most extreme in the entire School were essentially treated as gopher so they were doing everything that me that the members asked all of the Dirty Work the fraternity held something called a cantis uh regularly which are basically like these absolutely massive parties
For the most part if there were pledges involved they became the entertainment for these parties being forced to their knees their heads were tilted back and liquor or some sort of alcohol was just dumped right down their throat I mean it was a very very rough thing and this was
Just like a casual part of the beginning stages of initiation this wasn’t even the final part of initiation which all came to an end over one weekend that was referred to as the baptism and so it was a lot so sa had gone head first into
This and he is doing everything he can to try to make it work have a good time you know knowing that after this hazing is done he would be in a position where he would benefit from this fraternity as the baptism approached s began to express concerns to his close friends
About what he was going to have to go through a handful of friends told him look you know we made it through hazing just fine it’s scary but it’s really not that bad you know I’m sure what they do is crazy but it can’t be that crazy and
So they’re like trying to reassure him that it’s all going to be okay because he’s obviously kind of freaked out it didn’t help that no one really knew what to expect specifically from this fraternity because everything was kept so quiet and so s’s like okay I’ve got
To push sha forward he had originally gone into this alongside 10 total pledges and now he was one of three remaining so he’d made it this far he’s like I’m this close I’ve got to keep on going so the first weekend of December 2018 s went head first into the baptism
But s would not make it out alive around 900 p.m. on December 5th 48 hours after The Hazing began S’s unconscious pale and freezing cold body was dragged literally into the emergency department at a hospital an hour outside of the school and he was brought in by a
Handful of fraternity members sa was bleeding out of both his nose and his mouth entirely unresponsive and while the hospital frantically tried to figure out what on Earth was wrong with s to help him his so-called friends Gave Over Absolut absolutely no helpful information no one could seem to answer
Any questions how s got into this condition what exactly had happened to him how long had he been this way I don’t know what answers they gave but it was absolutely nothing helpful Hospital working on nothing realized that they were not at all set up to help this 20-year-old within 45 minutes of
Arriving at this first hospital and them desperately trying to figure out how he got into this sort of condition he was ultimately transported to the University Hospital of antp and I again don’t know if I’m pronouncing that right um but still at this new hospital no one was
Able to figure out what was going on and fraternity members were still not able to give any sort of answers but shortly upon his arrival s drastically went downhill he suffered from Cardiac Arrest putting him into a coma and Landing him on life support and his prognosis was
Looking very very slim the only things that doctors were able to find out immediately the little pieces of the puzzle that they were able to start working with was that s’s sodium levels were astronomical and the level of sodium was so high that it had started causing swelling in his brain which is
Likely why he was bleeding from his nose he was bleeding from his mouth and his alcohol levels were through the roof as well along with that he was severely hypothermic with his body temperature being only 80° F this was extreme from what I’ve been able to gather his blood salinity levels were
117,000 mgram and as a point of reference the average person is recommended to consume no more than 2,000 millgram of salt per day and he had 117,000 I’ve seen that this is potentially around the equivalent of chugging 4 lers of of seawater how on Earth were his salt levels so high and
How could those that brought him in seem to know absolutely nothing about it unfortunately s’s father had to hear of his hospitalization through one of sa’s friends apparently some of the fraternity members had started to post on social media asking if anyone had the contact information for s’s father so
S’s friend was able to be the one to reach out to him and let him know that sa was in the hospital and then this friend went to the hospital to be with sa until his father was able to arrive now when this friend got to the hospital
He said that there were about six of the fraternity members there kind of all hanging out to hear things about s’s condition and he claimed that all of them were pale and were not saying a single word and were apparently standing with some unknown older adult something
About the entire situation just felt off like they knew something that they weren’t telling everyone and even with one of s’s close friends right there devastated asking questions these fraternity members offered no explanation they offered no thoughtful words for s’s father could arrive every single one of the fraternity members
Left now after the hospital was able to see the bizarre and critical state that s was in along with being informed that he had been participating in hazing just prior to this they clearly felt something was very wrong here and they immediately called called the police
Which to me says a lot level of salt in his body was indicative of literal poisoning and so they felt something wrong had been done to S and they wanted to see the authorities handle it now the authorities were able to squeeze very bare minimum information from those that
Had been with sa and honestly a lot of the police investigation is just not readily available as I’m sure you can imagine majority of the Articles involved in this are in Dutch and so I translated what I could find but being in the United States I was heavily relying on our translated articles
Through things like the New York Times so I wasn’t able to get my hands on all of the Dutch information that I would have liked to get but regardless It ultimately seemed that they still handed over nothing helpful to authorities and just when everyone thought that this entire situation couldn’t possibly get
Worse you’ve got this young man who is seemingly slowly dying from Salt poisoning um extreme swelling of his brain his organs are starting to shut down just before 11:00 p.m. the other two pledges that had been there with sa were also dumped at the hospital in similar States granted neither of them
Were as bad off as sa and would ultimately go on to recover and be just fine but clearly whatever was happening at this hazing ritual this baptism was not all right and so by 3:53 a.m. just hours after s had been taken to the hospital when authorities managed to
Find out where The Hazing occurred and get bare minimum details of what had happened they arrived at the cabin where The Hazing took place to investigate but this cabin tucked into the woods an hour outside of town was completely silent the 18 some fraternity members that had filled the cabin and been participating
In this hazing just hours earlier were all gone and not just that but there was literally no sign that they had even been there Chief Inspector saying quote everything is clean not a garbage bag to be found anywhere not only are they in a limbo at the hospital trying to figure
Out what caused all of this damage to saa’s body and how to fix it and if they can even fix it but authorities are also not sure what happened at the house either because all of the evidence is absolutely gone and the fraternity members won’t talk and by December 7th
2018 after 2 days of s’s body slowly shutting down he was removed from life support s ultimately died from multi-organ failure after what would be described for years as hazing gone wrong but there was obviously more to what happened and this kind of started a five
Plus year fight that honestly I think to an extent is still going on to this day despite the fact that there has now been a trial there was a lot going on here everyone knew something had happened it was just about figuring out what now the coroner was was able to determine again
That the cause of death was multiple organ failure but that it all had started from this salt toxicity but they still didn’t know how s managed to consume all of this salt and the contents of s’s stomach were shocking and just added to the plethora of questions that everyone already had and
The time before he had died he had consumed whole mice heads eel heads goldfish pet food and finally what appeared to be fish sauce very likely the culprit of the salt toxicity and what seemed to be likely a part of his hazing trials what on Earth had this
Fraternity made these young men do and for the next 2 years the details of that night would remain a mystery the rouah home fraternity would quietly disband the members would also seemingly take a vow of total silence s’s father saying quote while I was still holding my son’s
Hand because I didn’t want to let him go the parents of those young men were already in contact with their legal Representatives Belgium’s top lawyers there was never a public apology there were no answers given and the media throughout this entire time just continued to claim that it was an
Accident and no one revealed a thing none of the information from the criminal investigation was released nothing found and the autopsy so everyone was just sitting and waiting and hoping Justice would be served and one by one fraternity members social media profiles disappeared all the way down to their LinkedIn pages and all
Information online about the fraternity and its members vanished as well it was like they were trying to make the entire thing disappear there were no arrests made and despite the university promising to suspend all members because mind you they still don’t know what exactly happened but there is still a
Young man that died during The Hazing they never actually suspended anyone the most that they made these fraternity members do was 30 hours of community service and had them write a paper on the history of hazing fraternity members present that night that knew what happened to S and had remained quiet
Continued to go to classes some went on to graduate and one was even hired onto University staff all of them holding the secret of how s diaa got to the state that ended his life but as I stated during these two years authorities were working so hard to uncover the secrets
Of that night if the members weren’t going to hand them over authorities were going to dig for them and what they uncovered is possibly the most heinous thing that I have ever heard in my entire life after 2 years of questions and silence what they pieced together
Sent the entirety of Belgium into a whirlwind while everyone knew that the secrecy of rouah Home likely had questionable activity nobody was prepared to hear what had really happened to SA over that weekend but probably one of the worst Parts is that during all of this they found out that
This didn’t necessarily start with SAA there had been red flags all over this fraternity for years and the university knew about it and did absolutely nothing because this is hazing because these are just kids being kids everything was taken with a grain of salt no one really took it seriously that this fraternity
Was doing things that could eventually lead to the death or at least extreme harm of one of its members before I can get into the details of what happened over that weekend I have to speak about the cover up and why it took 2 years for authorities to finish their criminal
Investigation the night when sa was going into cardiac arrest the members of the fraternity had high tailed it back to the cabin and everyone worked together to get rid of all of the evidence so when authorities arrived on scene and found nothing it was because an orchestrated coverup was in motion
And despite their attempts to get rid of everything authorities managed to gain access to the different fraternity members phones and forensics recovered all of the deleted information that told the story of what had happened that night and using this information and information from questioning some involved likely the other pledges these
Are the known details of the baptism weekend and they are not even what happened in its entirety to this day there is still so much that is believed to not be known s went into the weekend very apprehensive worried about what would happen but it kind of started off
Pretty slow the night of December 3rd sa and the two other pledges were ordered to drink excessive amounts of alcohol which was nothing at all out of the norm they were used to this but the following day of December 4th at 400 p.m. the first of the real trials began sa and
The pledges had been given the task of selling roses in the Town Square they were given long white robes to appear as if they were Apostles and the one to sell the least amount of roses would be punished and so they all went into this as a competition and these were the
Photos that s’s friends saw of him where he was smiling and appeared to be happy but the reality was that he looked the way he did because he was hoping he could sell the most roses because there was no telling what this punishment was going to be s’s friends hadn’t no idea
How fast things were about to turn sa ended up being the one to sell the least amount of roses and right there in Town Square his punishment ensued s was handed large quantities of alcohol and he was ordered to drink and drink and drink nonstop until 700 p.m. rolled
Around we are talking hours of consuming alcohol and according to Witnesses at this point he was so intoxicated s was barely able to speak despite the fact that s was already belligerently drunk and in a state where he could not make his own decisions with a full understanding of them the fraternity
Members decided that the hazing was going to continue after all being obliterated and drunk was just a part of the fun and so trial 2 began the three pledges were now forced to their knees in front of a cafe still in the Town Center where everyone could see and
Again this is just around 700 p.m. and the members started a trivia game each pledge was asked a question and if they answered correctly nothing happened they just moved on to the next person however if the pledge got it wrong a fraternity member would then step up like they
Would do at the cantis parties from behind pull the pledgees head back and they were pouring straight Jin down their throats and there was no telling how much Jin would be given it was just basically as much as they saw fit in the moment and so as I’m sure you can
Imagine sa did not do very well during this challenge he’s already been forced to drink the night before he lost the first Challenge and drank to the point where he can’t speak and so when he’s asked these questions he’s either getting them wrong or not even able to answer them at all
So over and over and over again s’s head was pulled back and Jen was poured down his throat and by the end of this trial the three pledges had consumed a total of one and a half bottles of Jen and while I don’t know the exact size of the
Bottles I feel like it honestly doesn’t matter no matter which way you spin it that’s a lot of gen for anyone alone a lot of gen for someone who is already drunk but the trial still wouldn’t end there all three pledges at this point are just out of their minds but
Apparently that wasn’t enough for the fraternity members and so the third trial the only challenge was to drink until they blacked out fraternity members alternated between handing the pledges beer and liquor and it was just back and forth continuous drinking all of them were repeatedly vomiting and eventually each pledge one after another
Was out cold at which point the fraternity members then picked up each pledge and dragged them back to sa’s dorm but The Hazing continued even though all three initiates were now unconscious and laid up on their sides in this dorm room fraternity members proceeded to take turns urinating all
Three of these young men they cut their hair they totally destroyed the dorm room they smeared condiments all over the walls things like Nutella and ketchup it was all over the furniture and by the end of the night this entire room was essentially filled with urine vomit mixtures of rank gross
Food and before leaving these limp pledges to their alcohol induced sleep surrounded by absolute filth the fraternity members did one more thing they cut off the entire water supply to the dorm room so if any of these young men got up desperate for water you know to help what was very likely alcohol
Poisoning there would be absolutely none they would find that no matter what faucet they went to no water was going to be coming out 10:00 a.m. the following day December 5th the trials began yet again bright and early with three initiates who were pretty much still drunk from the night before for
Highly dehydrated and I believe had still not had any food and while two of the pledges were like barely hanging on they were still able to walk and function s who had drank probably two if not three times of the amount of the others he could not even walk sa that
Morning was very unwell he couldn’t get himself up the fraternity members were dragging him everywhere he had to go and despite S’s condition they felt things should still continue on with sa involved fraternity members and the initiates got into two separate cars and headed off to the final destination of
The baptism the one night where everything would come to a head it would be the most brutal of The Hazing and would determine who would be a member and who would not it took everyone to a cabin an hour away in the middle of the woods this cabin was owned by the
Parents of one of the members and it was a very quiet and private place to finish things off which likely was chosen for a reason but they first had to make a few stops along the way in order to prepare for these final trials which were brutal one of these stops would almost
Completely end The Hazing but the fraternity members managed to talk their way out of it during one of these stops everyone was ordered out everyone had to get out of the cars and participate including the pledges which meant that s who was unable to walk on his own and as
These members were dragging sa through the parking lot something that was captured on security footage it caught the eye of a UK lven Professor who was familiar with all of these individuals knew of the fraternity they knew of the members and right away this professor
Saw s and the state that he was in it wasn’t just that sa could not walk sa was not there he was conscious but barely he wasn’t responding he was pale in color he seemed to have no idea where he was and frightened the professor enough that they approached the
Fraternity members and they threatened to call the police the professor was well aware that this was hazing weekend baptism weekend and so seeing the state that s was in they knew that some line had been crossed somewhere and fraternity members sweet talked their way out of it they explained to the
Professor that s just wasn’t feeling well but he was totally fine it was just a rough moment they lied to the professor and said that they had already finished all of The Hazing rituals they weren’t going to be doing anything further they were just heading out to the final celebration of their new
Members they made it seem like everything was fine s wouldn’t have to do anything else they were going to take him somewhere safe give him a bath give him some food allow him to rest and that was it so despite the worries of the professor nothing ended up being done
The authorities were never called No One questioned it again and unfortunately within hours sa would be rushed to the hospital after some of the most horrific torture that I have ever heard of because despite what they had told to the professor worst part of The Hazing initiation was about to begin at this
Point because they’d been approached by someone who threatened to call the cops based on the state of sa fraternity members realized they were drawing unwanted attention and So to avoid it they were going to split up into two groups one group would take the pledges straight to the cabin and the other
Would finish the rest of the stops which included going to a pet store and the grocery store now at the pet store which is again captured Ed on CCTV footage the members purchased numerous live animals live mice live goldfish and live eels and they also purchased other items like
Pet food before heading to the grocery store to get a gallon of fish sauce shrimp paste raw seafood amongst other items while everyone was finally at the cabin the final trials began this point sa likely needed to go to the hospital but it seemed that no one was too
Concerned about the state he was in the fact that he couldn’t walk the fact that he was in and out of Consciousness so they still pushed him on and he was aware enough to essentially what he was told if something was put in front of
Him he would just kind of in a haze do it now there are supposed to be ways that pledges can tap out since one of the issues with hazing especially when it comes to criminal activity during hazing is the fact that these pledges technically are consenting to these activities
But there is this weird fuzzy line about what happens when someone is no longer in a state of mind to give consent especially because a lot of hazing activities require these individuals to just be out of their mind intoxicated while they’re happening in my mind there is already this issue of these
Fraternity members are continuing to encourage sa and telling sa to do all these things but is he even understanding what he is doing and so all 18 members urge the pledges to continue handing them shovels ordering them out back and instructed them to start digging holes that each had their
Own hole to dig it was roughly 40° outside this day dehydrated from a lack of water a lack of food and vomiting again still at least hung over from the day before you can imagine what kind of hell this was for them to be out in the
Cold doing all of this physical labor to dig these holes and then once each hole was dug when these young men thought that they were done they were ordered to dig all of the holes together basically create a giant trench for all of them to sit in and this is when the members
Really upped the risk and one of these rumors of what J home was known for came to life basically 18 members surrounded the trench and began to dump buckets of freezing water and ice into the holes ordering the pledges to stay inside and for the next 6 hours this is where SA
Would rapidly deteriorate in front of everyone and nothing would be done to help him during these 6 hours there are just a number of horrific things that these pledges were forced to do and deleted messages show that at around 2: p.m. or so a message was actually sent
Checking in on the pledges for members that were not present and it was admitted during this time that s was already quote ready for the trash bin so there is at least some acknowledgement here by someone that they knew sa was not all right he was highly intoxicated
Again for the third day in a row even despite his horrible condition earlier that day but they just continued on anyways the trials continued with more trivia this time there were rewards to it so it wasn’t just a punishment of you drink if you get it wrong now they were
Dangling things that these young men needed in front of their face if they got a question right they would be rewarded with sips of water the punishment was a little bit different not only were they occasionally order to drink lots of alcohol if they got a question wrong but they also were told
To consume things like rancid oatmeal all of those disgusting things that were gathered at the grocery store and the pet store like the pet food the shrimp paste the fish sauce those were blended into whatever concoction one of the members could come up with those were served to the initiates and in between
All of these different trivia questions the members would warm the pledges up by urinating on them this was torturous and it went on for hours on end and the photos that were taken and recovered show how awful this must have been for those involved all of them huddled
Together like holding each other to keep warm because their bodies are just exhausted photos showed that members had even defecated on one of the pledges so these ice filled pits were also filled with urine and feces and vomit and all of these nasty things that have been fed
To these pledges live eels were also thrown into the pits at one point and the pledges were ordered to capture these live eels and bite their heads off before swallowing them whole the same was done with the live mice the pledges were ordered to take the live mice bite
The head off swallow it whole so it seemed that this fraternity was still enjoying torture Ing live animals as a part of these hazing rituals sa and the other two young men were also ordered to swallow a goldfish hole and they were told to chase this live goldfish with
Large amounts of this fish sauce and then regurgitate the fish entirely and this was one of like the big trials the big challenges they wanted to see these young men throw these goldfish back up alive and at this point between all of the rancid food live animal parts and
God knows what else they might have swallowed urine and feces all of these pledges were understandably just non-stop projectile vomiting but despite this despite the fact that sa was just throwing up again and again and again he could not get that fish to come back up
It just it was not happening and so in a state of mind where he’s not even fully coherent he is ordered to just continue drinking the fish sauce thinking that that is going to make this fish come back up so again in comparison to these other pledges while they are also
Drinking this fish sauce which if you know anything about fish sauce it is wildly high in salt content and s’s just chugging it he’s being told to just drink and drink and drink and drink it and throughout all of this time despite the other two pledges going through
Their own torture and their own pain and sickness they started to realize that s was not okay um he had already arrived barely hanging on and I think they kind of knew that the only place downhill from here was the hospital and potentially even death and so a handful
Of times the other pledges tried to help sa out he is halfway conscious and his ice pit this entire six Su hours they tried to offer some of their reward drinks to sa which was immediately stopped by other members they were asking members to stop and to help sa to
Take him out of the pits just something because he was clearly not okay he had lost all color and at this point he was just not even responding anymore so by 7 p.m. they decided forget this we’re not we’re not tolerating this anymore and they themselves pulled sa out of the
Pits but at this point it was pretty much too late s was fully unconscious was limp he was pale he was freezing cold to the touch and they didn’t know what to do and the members didn’t seem to care to help with anything the deleted photograph showed that sa was
Ultimately left in the middle of the grass in the fetal position and instead of helping him instead of realizing hey this guy is unconscious after all that we’ve put him through and kind of realizing all the things that they had done and the toll that that would take
On his body the fraternity members instead just continued to take pictures of him they didn’t do anything to help him and so s sat there completely unconscious for two hours that whole time the other two pledges continued on taking this beating going through the hazing s sat there hypothermic and
Suffering from Salt toxicity those two hours sa’s body had started to shut down and it seems like the only time that someone finally got scared and thought hm maybe we should do something was when sa started bleeding from his nose and mouth and started to make these guttural
Inhuman noises this point the fraternity members were finally like M maybe we should do something and so they called the Emergency Services now I was able to listen to a small portion of the call and even in this call you can tell that they are trying to make sure no one
Really knows the extent of what is going on the fraternity members proceeded to tell the dispatcher that sa had simply just passed out during one of the trials they did say that they were you know participating in hazing and they wouldn’t really answer any questions too directly they even said that they had
Already taken him to the doctor once which was not at all true totally failed to mention that he had been unable to walk because of how much alcohol they had given him and when Emergency Services finally is like there’s something so wrong here I need the address to send an ambulance the
Fraternity members refused and basically said they were already taking sa to the nearest hospital so that wouldn’t be necessary and I’m like there’s no way that you called Emergency Services on your way to the hospital already you would have just gone to the hospital so to me it just sounds like they were
Trying to get basic help over the phone and then when it was suggested that an ambulance needed to come they scrambled because they didn’t want anyone seeing what they had been doing at this cabin so s was taken to the hospital in the trunk of a car and as sa is being
Frantically treated in the hospital the fraternity members were back at the cabin continuing The Hazing of the other two pledges so it wasn’t until around 10 p.m. when sa’s state was revealed that he had gone into cardiac arrest a coma and was now on life support that the
Fraternity now is like maybe we should stop doing what we’re doing and called the other members still at the cabin and they were like um stop all hazing right now and that’s when they realized that the other two initiates were exhibiting very similar symptoms they were also
Rushed to the hospital and right away the coverup that I had mentioned before began and this is the depth in which they went to cover up their tracks the conf conversations between the fraternity members were interesting to say the least um there was this nonchalance about it like everything was
Just still all too casual and almost like a joking Manner and the only time when things got serious was when they were trying to get rid of evidence there were text messages that that spoke about what would happen if sa quote doesn’t make it and then there was a frantic
Text saying quote remove everything and everyone from the group the president and the person in charge of the pledges began to order all of the other members to delete all photos that were taken delete all videos that have been taken of the entire hazing process I mean
Things going back from like way before and other members began to clean up the cabin itself every single item they had purchased from the stores that was used in The Hazing was discarded and the trash bags weren’t even tossed in the cabin trash can hands they totally took
Everything off the premises again as if they had never even been there then they’re like okay we have to deal with these giant pits that are literally filled with all of these disgusting things that show what we did and so they grabbed shovels and they filled in this
Gigantic ditch with dirt that they had made these initiates stand in for hours so when authorities had shown up they had already been told likely by the pledges now hospitalized a few details of what they had to do and so when they get there they’re like there are no
Trenches there are no you know holes that have been dug and that’s because the members had perfectly cleaned it up meanwhile more conversations were found talking about the state of the dorm that the pledges had been in the night before like they weren’t just worried about
What they had done that night at the cabin they’re like crap we literally got them blackout drunk totally cut off the water to the dorm and so they sent another group of fraternity members hour back to the school to clean all of that up as well they got rid of all of the
Vomit hair the condiments coating everything and they made sure that the water that they had turned off was now running again there was even a text saying quote Oh no I’m really going to pay for this aren’t I they obviously knew what was wrong or they wouldn’t have turned around and within hours
Managed to completely erase everything that they had done over the past couple of days after they finished cleaning up this is when they started to delete all of their social media profiles their LinkedIn any information on the Internet connecting to the rou home fraternity just in general you couldn’t find a
Member list it was if none of this even existed after this they immediately hired attorneys and refused to speak a single word and I believe this all happened prior to s’s death even like this was literally within the next day their attorneys refused to take phone calls according to Media Outlets
Sometimes just downright ignoring the requests and other times citing that they couldn’t comment due to an open investigation there was absolutely no communication here people from the school and other members of the community started to come forward saying look there were red flags about this fraternity from literally the beginning
And had something been done about them maybe none of this would be happening at this point and what came to light was so wildly disturbing so back in 2013 a video had surfaced that showed a portion of the baptism hazing process and this was a complete secret this video
Surfaced so many people watched it and the contents showed the fraternity members torturing and killing a piglet as part of The Hazing process it was very very upsetting and got the attention of Gaia which is an animal rights group and so they immediately went and reached out to the university
They put in a formal complaint saying this fraternity is participating in animal neglect instead of the University taking this as the warning that it likely should have been that what was going on during these hazings because they were so secret and everyone just accepted that that was okay they were
Doing a lot of shady illegal things because of that because they were protected by the secrecy of hazing and the university essentially covered for the fraternity Gaia had to continue protesting and saying this is not right you need to do something and so essentially to plate all of the noise UK
Len finally came up with a document known as The Hazing Charter it outlined a handful of things that honestly probably could have helped save sa as well had this actually worked the way the way the university claimed it was going to so this hazing Charter outlined that all the fraternities and the
Sororities would have to alert the city about the date their hazing would commence and the location so that law enforcement and different Medical Emergency Services and someone would be aware when and where these things were happening to make sure there was nothing illegal going on it would basically hold these fraternities and sororities
Accountable knowing that someone was watching over what they were doing it would also require that they not do any sort of illegal things illegal activity which is just common sense and there was also a portion stating that no animals could be involved whatsoever and so this seemed like a good agreement that this
Was going to hopefully make hazing a safer experience for everyone involved and so everyone’s like all right cool this is perfect except for the fact that rol refused to sign the charter they wouldn’t sign it along with a handful of other Flemish fraternities and sororities now the other 20 some fraternities and sority
Signed it but they said they wanted to keep their freedom and that’s just so wild to me basically the majority of it was asking them to not do illegal things and so them refusing to sign it should have been this big um I don’t know obvious blaring red flag that they
Wanted to continue illegal activity but the university just let it slip by and more information ended up coming out including an incident that happened with sa and the fraternity two months prior to his death and it introduced something that a lot of people had already really been thinking including authorities and
That’s that race played a huge part in what happened to sa now when authorities were going through all of these WhatsApp messages that were deleted in photographs and videos looking for all of these things to put together a Time timeline for The Hazing they uncovered a lot of WhatsApp messages that didn’t
Directly relate to S but showed the level of racism that was present within this fraternity a month after s’s death a video was made of some of the members of the fraternity approaching a black homeless man on the street and it looked at first that they were doing something
Good that they were handing him some money but instead they try to take this man’s hat and begin singing the song the Congo is ours which is in reference to the history of the Belgium ruling Congo and this is a very very dark history of enslavement and death and to give you a
Brief history the belgians came in and took over a good part of the Congo and they Enslaved the population to use their labor to obtain a lot of different resources like Ivory and rubber and all of that was actually most of it was going right into the king’s own
Collection and this period of enslavement ended up taking out out half of the congales population it was a very deadly deadly time in history and this song was in celebration of that time and these fraternity members were screaming this song at a homeless black man this
Was just a month after sa had died a black man had died through hazing in their fraternity and they are going on with their lives as if nothing has happened and not only that they are being openly racist photos were Unearthed that showed members of the fraternity dressed as the KKK and there
Had even been a speech allegedly where they referenced quote our good German friend Hitler and so these are just a handful of the different incredibly racist moments in rouah holes history and they’re present at the time and there had even been an instance of racism that occurred directly toward sa
And the university freaking knew about it October of 2018 2 months prior to s’s death rolm held a cantis which were these parties that I told you about previously and it was held at one of the student buildings known as the albatross and so again this
Is nothing new this was a part of hazing just a part of their fraternity life in general and this night was the same as every other where the pledges were used as entertainment they had tons of alcohol poured down their throats humiliation all of these things and usually ually afterwards they were also
The ones who I said were Gophers so they cleaned everything up after the fact um they were the ones in charge of making sure everything finished up now this particular party was very very out of hand they caused thousands of dollars of damage to this student building and for
Some reason they decided that SAA would be the only one cleaning up this time so none of the other pledges would have to do anything um they sing singled out sa and they called him by a racial slur as they were ordering him to clean everything up on his own ended up being
Overheard by a staff member and this staff member heard this and called it out they’re like fraternity Members First of all y’all need to get a grip and then they looked to S and said do not let people speak to you like that like you got to stand up for yourself
But sa at this point because of what had happened to him the entire night was absolutely obliterated and fraternity basically turned to the staff member and told them to shut up and mind their business and then allegedly stated something along the lines of black people should work for white people so
This is the kind of mentality that this fraternity had and so out of worry for S and his treatment and um worry that this hazing would get out of hand the staff member went to the president of the Student Association to let him know what they witnessed um people in the
University were alerted to this but it doesn’t seem that anything at all was done with this information so essentially over and over again this fraternity did out of pocket terrible things they never should have been allowed to do but never were held accountable so they just continued doing
Them and with all of this information being revealed all of the things that had happened during The Hazing all of the things that were in the fraternity’s history it was pure chaos students were devastated and infuriated community members were screaming out for some sort of justice
And 20 staff members at the school even wrote an open letter demanding that more be done to these fraternity members because keep in mind all of this has come out right and over these past two years the school had been like uh 30 hours of community service and you have
To write an essay and that’s it and all of these members were just allowed to go on and whenever it was questioned the university would just say well we’re waiting on the criminal you know the criminal investigation to be done now that they had a a good idea of what
Happened and the reality behind this fraternity the staff memb sent this letter saying quote the elements that have surfaced in the coverage of the affair clearly point to racism and elitism so the school at this point scrambled to open up a new investigation they began to offer up all sorts of
Reasons as to why nothing had been done because everybody is calling them out s’s family revealed that the school only reached out to them once during s’s funeral and other than that there was absolutely nothing and we already know that none of the fraternity members had reached out to s’s family either to
Apologize or offer condolences or absolutely anything and according to s’s father at this point he had been given every single excuse in the book he was told by the university that the fraternity was independent and so the school had their hands tied they couldn’t do anything or what I already
Stated before that it was an open investigation and so they couldn’t take action and now that this information was fully public the director at the school Luke sells was saying that he would have done something earlier if he had known the details of what happened that weekend explaining that he just didn’t
Realize the severity and he didn’t want to prejudge the situation and all I have to say to that is how many red flags did you already have to have how many more warnings that there was something very bad happening within this fraternity was it going to take for you to finally do
Something to prevent problems I feel like the entire handling of this was just what do we do after it’s too late and that’s devastating it costs someone their life this young individual with so much going for him with such a bright future he was so smart he was loved by
So many people and no one did anything until it was too late and so it wasn’t until 2021 4 years after sa’s death that the remain remaining seven fraternity members involved that were still attending UK Len were finally expelled and barred from re-enrolling after the criminal investigation had been
Completed in 2020 it was recommended that all 18 fraternity members present be charged with negligent homicide we also recommended they be charged with humiliation and premeditated administration of a harmful substance because this this fish sauce that had been just repeatedly given to s is what led to his death but despite this none
Of the individuals were arrested despite these recommendations that these charges go through no arrests were made and instead it just went straight to the courts and it took until May of 2023 for there finally to be some sort of conviction and sentencing for those three some years this case just bounced around the
Justice system originally the hearings were set to start September 4th of 2020 so very shortly after the criminal investigation was closed up but when that day came attorneys for two of the defendants asked for the trial to be held off they claimed that there needed to be some sort of further
Investigations done into their clients and I’ve not been able to figure out specifics um I’m assuming it could have to do with the fact that how do you prove all 18 are equally culpable um maybe these attorneys are trying to say their you know clients didn’t really
Play a part in any of the hazing they were just there to watch or something along those lines but this brought up a huge issue with a lot of people a lot of people believed that this was done very strategically because something else that happened in 2020 had completely
Changed the climate George Floyd had been killed months prior so a lot of people started to come forward saying that they purposely tried to hold off postpone this hearing using some excuse as they knew that if this went to trial when all of this was going down when
There were protests happening all over the world that it would not mean good things for these 18 white men that were accused of manslaughter in connection to the death of a black man now obviously we can’t say for sure that’s what happened they may have had a reason I
Have no idea but it was just another thing that people were like what is happening like this can’t be right but regardless everything was paused then when came time for the trial to begin again there was another issue the judge that was involved had Direct connections to family members of those in the
Fraternity and obviously that is a conflict of interest and you would think that would have been a blazing one that they would have purposely avoided as much as they possibly could because there were these conversations about elitism and that these young men were able to hide behind their class that
This was class Justice happening in front of everyone but ultimately this had to be argued and eventually keyword eventually the judge did withdraw himself and so because the families of these fraternity members were so affluent in the area they were so woven into the justice system because they
Were judges and attorneys um and politicians it was finally decided that they would have to totally transfer where the hearings would occur to another location in order to get a fair trial so the hearings resumed again but there was another disagreement and this time it was coming directly from s’s
Family on what timeline would be spoken about while in court it seems that when this went to trial the judge stated she was only allowed to speak on the events that happened that night that sa landed in the hospital the entirety of what had happened to him prior to that would not
Be admissible but the prosecution and sa’s family wanted the entirety of the weekend analyzed because every single bit of it connected and all led up to you know their son ending up in the hospital and leading to his death because there were so many times where someone should have stepped up and
Stopped everything and they just didn’t this didn’t all happen in the last few hours of December the 5th a family attorney also tried to get some sort of reconstruction done of The Hazing rituals to really you know Drive in how brutal they were but that was denied and
So this put everything on pause for the third or fourth time at this point now unfortunately I cannot find if this ultimately was agreed with if they decided to look into to everything that had occurred again unfortunately I think because I’m not able to access all those
Articles from Belgium it was a little bit challenging to find specifics like this regardless eventually in early May of 2023 the trial finally began with no more continuances and it seems that at this point a lower court had even recommended that the charges be lowered
To assault and battery so I feel like it was just like watching this entire trial slowly fall apart and all of the years that it just sat and was delayed and was bounced around and I think it’s so unfortunate ultimately it ended up in the court of appeals and all 18
Fraternity members arrived at the courthouse hiding their faces in any way possible they wore hats they wore masks and in court they were allowed to hide behind their fraternity nicknames which were foul to say the least all of this to protect their identity because their families and their attorneys had done
Everything they could to get this court order to ensure that none of their identities were released so that they could go on in the future and live their lives without any of this being connected to them 11 of the fraternity members ended up requesting a full acquittal and seven of them pleaded
Partially guilty and the first days of the trial essentially just consisted of a few of the members taking the stand and I can’t imagine how this made s’s family feel even S’s father responded to them at one point saying you’re all claiming to be his friend each of you
Has taken your turn getting up here saying oh he was my best friend he was one of us but his dad was like friends don’t do what you did to sa like if you were s’s friend why did no one say stop when he wasn’t even able to talk before
You started the second trial Why did no one say anything when that second day came around and you went to pick him up and he couldn’t walk Why did no one say anything when he was laying half conscious in a pit not even understanding what was happening to him
For 6 hours why did no one say anything and no one could give any answers it was made very clear by sa’s family that they did not want these young men’s lives to be totally ruined they didn’t want anyone to spend excessive amount of time in jail over what had happened they made
It clear that all they wanted were answers they wanted someone to tell them what had happened they wanted transparency they wanted apologies they wanted to know who gave this fish sauce that ultimately ended his life like whose idea was it um you know just these very basic questions that would answer
Things that they had been asking themselves for 5 years now and they didn’t get it you know these these young men would get up on the stand and apologize and cry and all of these things but if they really felt so awful if they were really filled with that
Regret that they wish they had done something why wouldn’t they tell s’s family what had happened the charges were already pressed things were already in motion I just think it is so wild that these same young men that are smart enough to get their way into Belgium’s
Most prestigious school one of them even being a medical student seemed to all lack the same common sense that s was dying in front of them for hours it’s just so crazy to me that they can get up and play dumb these these students that are held to such high standards and such
High expectations all of the sudden it’s completely understandable that they didn’t realize being unconscious and bleeding from the nose and mouth was something concerning that consuming that much alcohol was dangerous that consuming that much salt was dangerous he was unconscious for hours he couldn’t walk for 2 days and they didn’t know
What they were doing was harming him I’m sorry but that’s just not a pill that I am willing to swallow and when race was brought up at the trial the attorneys for the defendants continued to stand behind the fact that this played no part even going as far as saying that it was
Actually his physique that led to his death that which I’m just over here trying to figure out like what what exactly does that mean that he he should have been bigger to be able to handle multiple bottles of liquor and mass amount of assault are they literally blaming his body for not being
Able to handle all of that just going to totally ignore the racial history tied to this fraternity and the direct racial attack on sa just before the extreme hazing began and when you look at all of the details it’s like s was set up to fail from the beginning prosecution
Argued that all the fraternity members were well aware that they were causing severe harm to sa and they just chose to do nothing whether that was racially motivated or not they knew what was going on and ignored it the prosecution argued that this was even potentially premeditated because they went to buy a
Whole gallon of fish sauce and sa specifically had been forced to drink more alcohol than the others spend more time in the icy pits than the other two to drink more fish sauce and they requested a jail sentence of 18 to 50 months in prison for these fraternity
Members for what had happened which in my opinion is absolutely nothing considering like that is bare minimum and on May 26 2023 all 18 fraternity members were found guilty and this seemed like the biggest win the judge started Strong saying every single one of you is responsible for what happened
Every single one of you is guilty of involuntary manslaughter degrading treatment and animal neglect but but all of them were acquitted for other large charges that many believed they should have been found guilty of all 18 were acquitted for culpable neglect and administering a harmful substance causing death the court had determined
That none of them could have known that the fish sauce would have caused salt toxicity leading to s’s death arguing that there was no warning on the bottle so they couldn’t have read anything that would have you know alerted them to this um and that because they could get it at
The grocery store they would have assumed that it was safe the court even argued further that doctors likely wouldn’t even know that fish sauce would cause salt toxicity so I feel like this was just arguing semantics almost because you know I guess because they didn’t specifically know the dosage all
18 people didn’t know the dosage of salt toxicity that somehow it’s okay they didn’t mean to and one of the things that was said by the court that probably got to me the absolute most because I genuinely cannot stand this phrase when people use it um the judge stated that
The fraternity had used fish sauce numerous times before in other hazings and no one got hurt so how would they know how would they know when it came to the culpable negligence this was also taken out of the equation and they were acquitted for it because the court said
That there was not significant enough time between s being pulled from the pit at 700 p.m. and fully going unconscious and him being taken to the hospital uh they literally said that the fraternity members helped him in a reasonable amount of time and that was apparently good enough so essentially what that
Says to me if I were to decipher it um he wasn’t dead yet when they took him to the hospital so so essentially all that they really felt they could prove with all of the information that they had was that degrading treatment obviously they had horribly humiliated and degraded s
Prior to his death um which again illegal but under the word hazing apparently like most people ignore it but I digress and then the inhumane treatment of animals which obviously there was no getting around that um and so then the sentencing came and this is where it has caused a total uproar like
What they were found guilty of and what they were acquitted of obviously is up for debate for a lot of people as to if that was fair or correct um obviously it’s a little bit more nuanced than our opinions of that because this is a court setting but it’s it’s the sentencing
It’s the sentencing that is just really really getting people and I think that the reason the sentencing or part of it that it is so lenient mainly is because they were not able to prove any negligence they totally tossed out the negligence aspect of the involuntary manslaughter charges and usually if you
Can’t prove it negligence you get the bare minimum of sentencing each member would be fined €400 which is the equivalent of like $460 or something dollars US Dollars and each one was given 200 to 300 hours of community service and I’m sure you’re waiting for more like what else community service
And a few hundred of a fine for like the country’s most elite the children of the country’s most elite no that’s it that’s literally it they got community service in a fine they were also ordered to pay damages um which was definitely way heftier than the fine they were ordered
To pay 15,000 to s’s father 8,000 to his brother 6,000 to his stepmother and there were a few € one um damages that were basically just to like a morality thing more than anything um and one of those was s’s mother she only asked for €1 um the
Other two students had that have been pledges were actually civil Parts in this case as well and they each were only paid € Euro um again as a morality thing and then Gaia the Animal Rights group also was a civil party they also only asked for damages of one Euro and
So that was it in its entirety that was the entirety of the conviction and the sentencing the leniency of the sentencing was even kind of addressed during the sentencing process and it was summed up that b basically it had been a long time since s’s death so that played
A part the members were very young when it happened I believe they were all roughly like 20 years old and their lives and their family’s lives of these fraternity members had been negatively impacted by the media and so all those things apparently came into play when deciding the sentencing because the
Media according to their attorneys had painted these young men out to be monsters and were trying to destroy their lives now I’m just going to say it had this happened in the United States it probably would have been so much worse because the fact of the matter is that the media isn’t making
These young men look like Monsters isn’t painting them to be something they’re not their actions that they have literally been found guilty of that made them look bad the media didn’t do that to them they’re actions did and this is the media painting them out to be
Monsters without even naming them it is what they themselves did and we can’t change that for them one of the attorneys for the defendants named John Mae did come forward afterward and said that this was quote balanced and well reason and even stated that the media had totally blown this out of proportion
Again in what freaking Dimension and what dimension is it crazy to think that these young men tortured these three individuals and it led to the death of Sadia it’s just I mean it’s literally something that has been proven in a court of law that what they did is not
Acceptable and the Dia’s attorney also came forward and said that this is devastating unfortunately there’s really not much more that can be done what’s done has been done the sentencing that’s been handed has been handed and he was not going to request the diaf family try to appeal this because honestly
Appealing it could just lead to lesser punishment so after everything that had been done everything that you heard these 18 young men have walked away with community service fines they have been given anonymity so no one will ever have to know who they are and their names and
None of this will go on their criminal record and this understandably pissed a lot of people off um because including s’s family they again said we did not want harsh sentencing but you gave them nothing and we got no answers like it just felt like everyone just kept asking
And asking and asking and all 18 of these individuals just kept getting ways out and more ways out and more ways out without ever giving anything back with the DIA family attorney saying quote in the end we didn’t get an answer because of the silence the boys maintained we
Will never know this is difficult for the family to deal with and the community absolutely just erupted at this the president of the student body saying quote 18 18 people humiliated and tortured sadilla in 2018 no one intervened until it was too late and protest started popping up everywhere in
Gent Brussels antp all over Belgium spread its way through the Netherlands people felt that Justice was not served and people were worried because they felt that these young men were able to use their elitism to get away unscathed and because of this they could go on to
Hold positions of power the same men that held a man in an ice pit until the bring of death could go on and be prominent members of society be making laws be judges be attorneys with this in their history and no one would know a huge conversation
Was started just months ago and there are just photos after photos and videos and bits of news of all of these young individuals coming forward and protesting and saying this isn’t okay this is class Justice and this is not the kind of government we want this is
Not the kind of justice that we want crowdfunding done to put up a mural of sa um there were also messages spray painted all over the town saying Ash Justice ver and F roujol all over the place trying to send a message that this was not all right and it wasn’t just the
Community that was upset I managed to find one article that mentioned the fact that someone within the government agreed with what all of the community was saying but when I tried to see if there was any outcome from that because there was supposed to be a meeting

How this should have been handled differently showing examples saying that people that get on a bus without a bus ticket um or for instance one person that stole a bag of apples spent months incarcerated over their crimes and the these 18 individuals got community service for manslaughter now it’s being
Proven yet again with the YouTuber that is facing harsher punishment for doxing these men and the men that were charged with manslaughter and how that is just is absolutely Beyond me and I am not giving an approval for doxing at all because I think it is unacceptable
There’s a lot of a lot of legal ramifications and things that I feel like a lot of people don’t consider which is why AET is in the position that he’s in and I’m not saying if he’s right or if he’s wrong I am saying that it is
An example that does nothing but prove the point of what everyone is already screaming there are so many things I feel that can be taken from this and hopefully push towards change obviously everything in regards to the justice system and elitism and racism um but also why on Earth are we still allowing
Hazing like I am just not understanding it and there’s so many people that will argue against that and say but it’s a but it’s a ritual it’s something that’s been passed down from decades ago and not every hazing experience is like that unfortunately when you Google hazing
Majority of what pops up are incidents from when hazing has gone wrong like stuff from just the past couple of months so while I don’t know what exactly is going to happen I don’t know if there will ever be any changes to the laws I don’t know if these young men
Will ever answer to what they participated in I don’t know if s’s family will ever feel like they got the answers that they deserve I hope that you guys at least walk away from this with some change within yourself whether you are someone that is in a fraternity
And you are in control of hazing whether you are someone that is you know very active in passing legislation and you know this is something that you now want to talk about more so I’m happy that there is now this International conversation about what happened to sa
And how many areas it can hopefully spark change sa’s death could have been prevented in more ways than one and my heart absolutely breaks for his family he he has step siblings he’s got his brother his mom his stepmom his dad everyone that loves him his best friends
