Can figure out if a chapter is lame and this is a key thing you really want to figure out because if you’re interested in organization that chapter is lame what you gonna do i’ma tell y’all some things that will make a chapter lame in my eyes I’m gonna outline at least a few
Things so you can kind of go off of whenever you do a research on a chapter so if you haven’t already hit that like button hit that share button hit that subscribe button crew fam crew fire crew y’all know what to do head on down to the comments section and hit the boy All right Joe so first thing I want to say is don’t judge a chapter by the mountain numbers the amount of members they have do not make a difference on the amount of work they can put in my fraternity alone started with three founders three people got our fraternity
Started so that means it don’t matter if you have two people two hundred people in the chapter it does not matter so do not base your research in your opinions on what you want to join based on the amount of numbers that a chapter have or
The amount of people that you know might be interested in a chapter then you’re basing off the wrong things you do it at all majority and not what you really want to do but the first way to figure out if a chapter is lame is the best man
Events event Steve it’s like if they don’t host no events on campus like what what are you doing the primary focus of attorneys or sororities on campus is to serve the student body if you’re not hosting events are you really serving student body if you’re not giving the
Student body a chance to get involved with community service or go to events go to cookouts go to parties go to foams formals like if you’re not doing it then you’re not serving the student body then why aren’t you there to make sure the chapter that you’re trying to get into
Is serving a student by whether they have a huge turnout or not at least they’re doing it so make sure that they’re actively involved on campus because that’s really one key thing that will make me think is this chapter quality or not you know I’m saying if they’re not hosting an events then
They’re not quality to me because what are you doing for the campus and the student body another way to figure out if a chapter is lame is the members itself now I only do the chapter as a whole needs to be involved but the members need to be involved as well so
The members need to be involved the student leadership positions like that’s just point blank period if you’re in a chapter you need to be in another organization and a leader in another organization or at least participating in another organization the way these organizations work is you need other
People in other organizations to bring in different resources and assets to the chapter and the organization as a whole to get things done on campus you need a foot and you need a seat at every single table on campus for my chapter for example one hour
On campus and I was the president of my chapter every single person in the chapter was involved in another organization and you know what that did for us it gave us a seat at the table we knew when this was going after we knew when that was gonna happen we knew all
Kind of stuff before it even happened because these people was on planning committees there was in these other organizations that helped us out and they help us provide to the student body a little bit quicker than others so chapters need to have members that’s involved in other things but if people
Are just involved in just that fraternity that it’s not going to help the chapter in the long run because you need those assets you need those connections as a chapter so if you’re researching a chapter and nobody’s involved in anything not even a mentor not nothing then that’s a little iffy
Maybe they just join just join maybe they just join and I don’t know but that’s the thing you need to figure that out as well because in my eyes that will make a chapter lame because you need people that’s involved you just need so my third way to figure
Out if a chapter is lame is you just never see them wear nail you at all they don’t represent any where nothing affiliated with their organization to me that’s lame because you joined this organization to promote the organization and to be prideful and what you join and if nobody in that organizational chapter
Is wearing you know their letters then to me I’m like are they saying no what they wear or they might be on suspension or something I don’t know but most of the time if they’re not on suspension and they’re not wearing their letters than
That those up a red flag for me like why I do not represent know a lot of organizations they say on Mondays we’re wearing nail your own when they Wednesdays we were nail you we want a day where everybody in the chapter at least wear nail you
Throughout the week one day bike if you don’t see anybody walk around oh no your own from that organization and something wrong they either suspended they either a shame or they just don’t give up one of the one of the three the next way to figure out if a chapter is
Lame is the execution man when everyday host events is not executed well now I’m not saying that nobody is attending no what I’m saying is it’s not going smoothly like they don’t seem organized when they throw in events things are not running smoothly and the only reason why
Things like that happen is because they didn’t do a good job constructing what the we should be a lot of chapters they have all one side of just social people that some chapters is just business but to have a great chapter in a well-functioning chapter you need to
Have the best of both and then that way your comfort on both ends the marketing piece then you’ll be covered on the back end piece but a lot of chapters is just one-sided and that could be detrimental such a chapter but if you go to event
Say a forum and they’re not organized a PowerPoint not work and they don’t have handouts they just talking like they don’t have nothing go off they just going off the dome then that’s poor execution then for me if I was a student going today I’m like God Lane man this
Is not good at all just take note and everything you do on campus when it balls the NPHC organization because not only should they be evaluating you you should be evaluating them you should be evaluating every single chapter on that campus to see if it’s quality to see if
It’s something you can see yourself a part of but that’s it for this video I just want to put that out there for you all I know a lot of you all are looking for that organization of your choice but you also need to be aware of the
