I don’t know if you’ve watched squid game The Challenge it’s a reality TV Game Show competition that is based off of squid game the actual Show on Netflix that did 1.64 billion hours of streaming time within the first 4 weeks that it launched I want to say this I want to
Play I don’t know when the casting comes out but I want to play Let’s get into It The show has 456 competitors that mirrors the actual show so every person who gets eliminated is worth $10,000 those $10,000 go into into a jackpot again 456 players $110,000 each that means the entire jackpot is worth4 4.56 million I may be lying about this but I think that that’s an unprecedented
Amount of money for a reality TV game show there’s twists there’s turns there’s so many challenges that actually both mirror the actual show but then other parts that don’t one of the things about the actual show if you watch the squid game is that people actually die when they’re eliminated now some people
On social media was like why don’t people die we understand why people don’t die but I think that there is a creative turn in how people are eliminated and by the way let me say this there are spoiler alerts in this video so if you have not watched the show please click
Off come back and watch this afterwards and we’ll talk yeah I’m going spoil some first episode is red light green light has the doll the famous doll and G want miss that doll like that doll does everything to me by by the way I
Just want to say this right now I I love I love that dog you know what I’m saying I can’t wait I I want to play this game so bad I want to play this game so bad because I know that my ass would win this I’m just saying like
I know that at least I would win that Red Light Green Light like the fact that I would be running and like my ass would not be and by the way Leanne for people who know and watch the show Leanne the your ass was moving
A lot like your ass was really moving a lot during this damn so you know I don’t know now one of the biggest questions is are producers making this up are producers keeping people around uh to create storylines and I have to say this while all reality
TV shows are fake I do want to say that I feel like the producers either did a really good job with this show to make it look like it is real or at least played they allowed the decisions to be made by the competitors is what I feel
Like because in the very beginning you have a Tik tocker I think his name is Steven mullet mullet guy St st’s friend is also on the show and he gets eliminated in red light green light now I do think that producers did tell people to fall to the ground as soon as
They get eliminated now one of the things that’s super important that I just mentioned about the eliminations is that the way people get eliminated is they have these vests on under their shirts their tracksuits once the competitors get eliminated their chest pop like this kind of paint or I don’t
Know mushy gushy liquid or squid oh squid oh my God that’s why it’s black when when the chest pops it’s like black because it’s squid Games anyway so people get eliminated and their chest pops and it’s like they’re kind of like oh I’m falling to the ground and so they fall to the ground and they act like they’re dead right and so in the real show people do die because people are killed by the
Guards right you have 456 players every elimination you get shot and so in this game they tried to replicate that and I think they did a really good job from I mean just the Studios like the red light greenl Studio looked so like the actual show and I think I was reading some
Materials about the show afterwards and they said that the director and producers of the original squid game have did actually come onto the set the warehouse where they created uh it recreated the squid game kind of feel and Vibe and they said like this was so
Eerily similar I mean like if you look back at the marbles game the set looks so familiar like the bridge the bridge looked so like the actual show so I think that that was really great I think the set design was amazing the way that they structured the show was really
Great the way that they captured the challenges were amazing as well they did a mixture of Big Brother editing right where like all these cameras were in the dormatory looking at other people and spying on conversations they also did a good mixture of cinematics now while the
First episode did have red light green light they also had games like like doana doana doana you will be playing the that so that one’s the one with the tin where they had the cookies uh in the 10 and they had to cut it out of the honeycomb from the
Honeycomb um I thought that that was also good because they used a lot of the strategies and tactics that they learned from the actual show Li licking the cookie and people really did not want that umbrella now in the original show there were some things that like people
Were just giving tins and you had the cookie there in this show they tried to do a little bit of a Twist to I think to eliminate more people because there’s a lot of people like they had to really get to a place where they can eliminate
People to make some of the challenges work in my opinion but they broke up all the competitors into lines and in these lines the first four people had to go into the room to kind of debate within two-minute time frames to see who would choose the shape for their team so if I
Chose the star all people on my team were going to be star if I chose umbrella everybody on my team was going to be umbrella now everybody didn’t want umbrella because they know that is the hardest one right like why would you want the hardest one there was a lot of
Things that were filmed that we did not see on the show right like there were certain things that I’ve read online of the people who were competing where they create like all the competitors in the room created a line using their tracksuits to create a volleyball net
And they played volleyball with a ball that they created out of clothes us just came on the intercom was like stop playing like you guys are going to sweat up your tracksuits there’s no more tracksuits to give you right so like there were just certain things that were
Not filmed that we know like apparently according to some of the other things I was reading and hearing it took eight hours to film Red Light Green Light even though the show only shows 5 minutes worth of gameplay time so you’re thinking you have 5 minutes to get from
One side of the room to the other but apparently it took 8 hours to film it don’t know why it took 8 hours to film it but I do know that there was one girl on the show who took a squat and you can see her like taking a squat for like 20
Seconds right because of the cut and the way that they’re talking about it and she’s like I can’t do it anymore and so she falls on the floor and she gets eliminated cuz she moved and we’re like what the hell like I remember watching it and I’m like what the hell she
Couldn’t held the squat for 20 seconds it ended up being that she held it for way longer like 15 20 minutes so that was crazy they also had tests in the dormatory and the intercom comes over and they say you have the opportunity to do a test and this test
Is you either give the opportunity to give an advantage to a competitor for the next game like a random person that you all choose um and it’ll be anonymous or you can just eliminate somebody that was the other thing about this show that there were some people who got
Eliminated that wasn’t based on their skill which I’m like uh I understand to give the twist and turns and stuff um like the girl with the Jack in the Box the competitor Felicia she does the Jack in a box and she gets to eliminate three competitors that one was public she
Eliminated somebody who just got their Jack in the Box that got gave them an advantage in the next game which you know that was strategy you know I understand understand you have somebody in front of you who just got an advantage in the next game but now you
Have the power to eliminate somebody who you going to eliminate I mean I think that was really smart I mean I gave her a little bit of a Target on her back some people actually you know surprisingly were like nah that’s the game you did your thing you helped all
Of us because this person had you know an advantage up so you eliminating that person really helps all of us right so the enemy of my enemy is my friend I think one of the other biggest twists of this entire thing was the fact that people were looking at and studied the
Show right they studied squid game before they went on the show and they were like what’s going to come up next they also even looked on the wall right so the wall had decorative art of what the challenges were but I think those mirrored the challenges on the show like
Right the first challenge was Red Light Green Light the second one was the dalana which doana then the third challenge they were like oh it’s tug of- War like it’s going to be tug of- war no matter what like we know from the show we see it on the wall
Map like from the art it’s the third one in the series so it’s going to be tug of-war the alliances this is the other thing too that there were many alliances that were created as the show progressed and I think that that also shows competitive nature in humans the fact
That they got together and were like look we have to band together to try to get to the end um and naturally some of the Frat Boys who you know one of the villains 432 also known as Brighton you know he got an A big Alliance of all
Strong men and the reason for that was because he thought tug of war was next so he’s going to beat anybody anybody else’s team it doesn’t matter funny part is that I think that the producers did an amazing job with coming up with ways to make the game as Fair as possible is
What happens if you have an alliance like that like of course you’re going to have very unbalanced kind of teams so the alliances get together they go head-to-head they go into the room and it’s not Tu of War it’s actually warships and that was a really fun twist
To the to the show and I thought that was really great then the other thing that I thought was a little shyy was the marbles game prior to that like we have been seeing all this buildup that there were tests that you know the dormatory Can Do Right like for instance there was
The guy who was running to the phone so the guards bring a phone into the dormatory and they just leave it there they say nothing the intercom doesn’t say anything at all people are just like trying to figure out what the phone is they pick it up they’re like what’s
Going on is there a producer on the other side like is it a person in the intercom what this game was really psychological as it came down to how the producers played with the competitors right like you have this phone that’s just introduced into the dormatory everybody’s going to try to figure out
What’s going on the minute that that phone rings everybody’s going to go to it right and so the first time that it rings whose name Coes over there picks up the phone and he gets a treat right so it gives him that affirmation that okay maybe this is a good thing right
Maybe it’s a positive affirmation Jada we saw you Jada you were complaining about Lorenzo on episode one for stealing the food and taking all those different tin cans but then you went back and you stole you know uh whose name’s Burger we saw you so everybody
Got a picnic and so he said pick one other person that you would like to do a picnic with that you know so everybody chose somebody who they were close to because they’re thinking this is a treat wrong them up okay those producers said
Y’all we we W to make this we have we got to make TV producers at the end of the day got to make TV everybody who was doing the picnic with each other had to go against each other in the game of marbles and you have to sit down with
Your partner and figure out how you want to play the game you can play it in any way you can do rock paper scissors you can toss it into a little bin you can make different circles and have different point systems based on where you toss it doesn’t really matter at the
End of the day you have to play a game to gather all the marbles into your one pop so there’s 20 marbles in total 10 marbles I have 10 marbles my partner has by the end of the game I need to have all 20 marbles or they have to have all
20 marbles or we’re both eliminated part of that was also psychological in that for instance you had the mother and son do duking it out for marbles now I personally thought Leanne was going to let her son have it but she was like I’m going to play this the
way that I want to play this and I want to make it to the end and I thought that was crazy I’m like cuz I don’t know my mom would have gave given me the Marbles and been like bring the money home neither here nor there you know imagine
Eliminating your mother though or you know imagine eliminating your son on the show like that that’s kind of crazy so that was shyy uh you know thinking that it was a treat but it really wasn’t a treat having them go on against each other but I will say this it did make
For great TV so keep that up and there was the bridge oh my God the bridge oh my God the bridge now on the Regular Show you did see that the bridge was something that was a big task right I have all these competitors and you
Have to guess every chance is 50/50 so up to this point there were 20 contestants in the game and the way that they figured out the order for who was jumping on the panels was they had to play a game of of what the is that called I don’t know what the the
Game is called y’all know the game with the with a little claw that they got to you got to use a little joystick and the little joystick takes you to the you know and then you got to press the button and it goes down and it grabs the
teddy bear and brings it to the thing yeah I don’t know what the that’s called y’all know what the that’s called y’all figure it out everybody had to get a vest and their number corresponded with what order they were going to go and jump on the bridge
Technically if there are 17 panels and there are 20 contestants if you have number 20 you’re the last one to go so just right behind everybody and make it to the end and you’re good you basically are solidifying that you’re going to make it to the end they made a pack now
Ashley you up for this Ashley was up for this but you made a pack everybody makes a pack that they’re going to go but then overtake it everybody came to the consensus that they were going to overtake each other so that everybody has a 50-50 chance so
Meaning I’m contestant number one I jump on the left panel I make it then contestant number two comes behind me and they have to jump to the next panel because I already went I already made my sacrifice for the team then panelist number three comes forward it’s 50/50
For everybody with the exception of Ashley now Ashley decides she’s not going to overtake a thing and Trey is made to go again he goes again and he falls through the panel Ashley goes advances and then expects that the people behind her continue to overtake even though she didn’t overtake
For Tre she didn’t want to get eliminated now she played smart and she makes it to the end but she got a lot of backlash on social media because of that because you didn’t hold up to your side of the bargain and I think the other thing that’s interesting about this show
Is that any reality TV show and any reality game show is you’re not just playing the game you’re playing the mental gymnastics of how you’re being perceived on camera and how you’re being perceived internationally right at the end of the day like people are watching this and they’re going to see okay this
Is how you acted and not many people are going to understand the Nuance of this was a a game and this was for $4.5 6 million and this person was being competitive and their competitive nature came out and we’re going to give you Grace for that nobody’s going to give
You Grace they just G to say you a or you should have did this you didn’t hold up your end of the bark and you a like all of this like people are not really going to dig deep into who you are as a person and see oh this
Person is a really great person they get the charity and like they’re going to look at you and be like yo you a up ass person and I think that that is very interesting as a phenomenon to be studied like you know it is what it is cuz everybody was I
Ain’t going to lie I was making my judgments back at home watching on the couch being like yo what the going on like but at the same time like as a person who’s commentating and on this side like I can also see you know we can commentate and
Understand like this was a game and you know Ashley I think on the show mentions you know in her confessional she’s a civil rights investigator right so Ashley is a civil rights investigator she’s probably doing the work in real life like we don’t know this this person
Right Ashley you are not a villain in my eyes even though you were up in the game but I understand why you did it and you had to make the decisions that you had to make that’s why your ass got eliminated right I think karma’s a very
Big thing on this show everybody who has done some from Danny from Kyle you know who they eliminated multi very early on to Ashley to Jada got eliminated she’s the burger Steeler um you know all these people that got some karmic energy coming to them like that
some up you know they got eliminated afterwards so I think that that’s also I don’t know it’s not something that is written in the thing but I’m just like and then after that comes the desk game right desk game after that was like heads up seven up where everybody was
Blindfolded you know in heads up seven up you have to put your head down you know put your thing up put your thumb down you have to figure out who did what blah blah blah for the desk game they actually had a box in the center of the
Room and everybody had to be blindfolded had the guards go around in a circle and tap someone on the shoulder and they had to go to the middle of the the room pick up the box and put it on someone’s desk if the person guessed correctly who put
The Box on their desk the person who put the Box on the desk got eliminated if you didn’t guess correctly and you had the Box on your desk you’re eliminated yourself so um that was just the last game that we saw on the last episode um this next Wednesday is actually the
Final episode there’s been Nine episodes so far there’s a 10 there’s 10 episodes in total and I think that this is going to be the um based on the show and BAS Bas on commercials last three remaining competitors will sit down for a feast the actual show the last game was a
Fight to the death so I doubt that that’s going to be this year but it’s going to be very interesting what twist they have very excited to see what the is going to happen again I don’t know why nobody’s really talking about squid game The Challenge 1.64 billion
Streaming hours on the original show in the first 4 weeks since it launched I don’t know why this hasn’t had the same critical Acclaim this has been so great the only thing I would say say is Netflix y’all have to do better at putting these shows out a lot faster and
A lot quicker squid game was so hot understand the pandemic happened but squid game was so hot like we need to make this hotter I what do you think what do you think about the show I need to hear what y’all think about the show uh do y’all like
The tests do you like the twist and turns do you think it’s fake do you think it’s real what are your thoughts I want to hear what your thoughts are put it in the comment section like comment subscribe for more content and stay mentally vine do
