I saw so many different definitions and I just put something together myself which is a combination of everything that I found right and you know here at the way Nation you can’t study something if you don’t what exhaustively Define it right so we need to understand the concept we’re talking about building

Some definitions that I found in Webster about family family is a group group of people or persons united through the tithes of marriage or blood or adoption constituting in a single household and interacting with each other in their respective roles usually it’s spouse parent children siblings that’s the nuclear or
Traditional Paradigm for family family includes people we love and those who love us those who are connected through a shared history and experience these individuals help us get through disastrous times and celebrate those good times family can offer support and security coupled with unconditional love they will always look to see to bring
The best even if you can’t see it for yourself the family structure is fundamental to most human societies the family unit can vary widely including biological family extended family step family and even close groups of friends and they put a term called frines frines I guess I just call them
Family I got some friends that are my sisters they are my family the four of us we are sisters they are my family now I know my sister is probably watching Tena you still my baby sister but these are my four sisters the Queen’s court right and families each influence the

People we learn values such as love respect Faith Hope caring culture ethnics tradition itions and everything else that goes through our family give you some examples when I was growing up and we was with my granny when we cook Thanksgiving dinner it was always some chitlins and I was always in there
Cutting onions bell pepper and celery for her dressing she made sausage dressing so it was different Traditions that we went through when my mother was alive I used to watch her make macaroni and chees cheese and I remember exactly how she made her macaroni and cheese and
Usually people ask me from my macaroni and cheese but my daughter my oldest daughter thinks she can this new age macaroni and cheese she do a little something different it don’t yeah we just going to leave it right there we going to leave we going to leave that
Right there the traditional way of making that F that macaroni and cheese is what I got from my mama and I tried to pass that down Traditions to my daughter but the oldest one chose to do her own thing maybe it was Tik Tok influen I I don’t know Instagram
Something like that so some of the things that we learn in and Concepts and traditions and our culture is based off of family let me be transparent um I have my auntie Penny who is my mother’s sister and she is like the patriarch to me of our family we have some older ones
That’s there auntie curin and all of that but Auntie penny is the one that I reach out to that I connect to and she is the one that encourages me she supports me even when I make a mistake she’ll give me that Stern talking to and
That look get it together you can do better than this I remember when I first started working in Corporate America talking about family she got me my first job working at her company Housing Resource Center and I was going to be filling the position of a young lady
That was the receptionist that was going on maternity leave so Auntie penny and I would get in the car we drive from the south side of Chicago all the way to the north side all I know is we got off on Wilson and all during that ride she
Tells me well you’re going to have to do this and you need to talk properly and when you answer the phone you need to do it Housing Resource Center don’t get on that phone some on some housing resourcing mm- you need to act like you’re a professional like you have some
Sense and like you have been trained appropriately so when I got in there of course I fell into slang I was nervous and and at lunch she was like we going out to eat she put me in that car she said I told you no slang when you pick
Up that phone enunciate the syllables housing we were literally in the car going to McDonald’s saying how Housing Resource Center that’s the way I started in Corporate America with Auntie Penney training me giving me some constructive criticism and helping me to be acclimated into a whole new culture that
I knew nothing about that was the benefit of family now today I I do my own thing you could call my voicemail and it might not sound like the person who’s talking to you now it my daughters know it well because they say they always call me and go to voicemail
That’s a whole another different story mommy be busy at work but then I also have a brother and sister I have more than one brother and sister but the ones that was born in my family unit my brother Charles and my sister niiki everybody know my sister Nikki you can’t
Talk about me without saying Nikki you can’t talk about Nikki without saying Evette we have each other’s back we are supportive I don’t care if my sister just robbed a bank hey what you need from me I’m going to help you I’m I’m if they come looking for you just don’t

Mess my sister was there even in her mess I was there yesterday we just had a whole Victory because she was tempted to do something that she knew she should and God showed her a way of escape and she called me later on she was like I’m
Good I was like you good she’s like yeah I’m good I was like see won’t he do it celebrating those successes those are characteristics of family a family how many of y’all remember the hubl how many of y’all remember that show that was like the perfect black family or
Maybe now the newer one is uh granish or whatever that may be the newer model in my day it was the hustles okay and we had Claire hustable and the attorney and the husband and they were loving husband and wife and they had these kids Rudy and
Two other girls and this son and they loved them they were supportive they also offered correction because when Claire need to tell somebody something she told them she got them right together she didn’t have a problem with that but that was a family structure now unfortunately in days like
Today everybody don’t have the hustable statue everybody don’t have a family like that some family units we don’t have that loving father that that supportive mother that sister and brother that will lift us up and be our biggest cheerleaders nowadays we have mothers that are competing with their daughters their daughter out there
Dropping It Like It Hot they showing up at the same Club dropping it like it’s hot can barely get it back up off Theo but you out there trying you not standing in your own lane but you jumping all over there because their Lane looks good it look like I I want to
Relive my life through them or you got mothers that are applying pressures on their daughter to do things that they wanted to do but didn’t have the opportunity so they going to live vicariously through their child come on somebody dysfunctional we have fathers that are absent young men looking for
Role models and daughters looking for somebody to speak life and to them to affirm them but daddy is absent he didn’t left our family to go with another family then end up with another family just rolling around hopping around or not there absent maybe incarcerated or whatever the is issue is
Maybe didn’t even own it like no that’s not my child look just like you’re spitting images you could have popped them out but you’re absent this is dysfunctional daddy is not there to help with the correction or the father is there but he’s loving on his daughter in
All the wrong ways he’s touching things that he should not touch blurring the lines and confusing that young girl on how to even engage and interact with a male figure she don’t know if they saying that she saying hello because they want something from her sexually or if they’re saying hello because they’re
Really genuinely concerned I love it when my Apostle would get up and say come let me give you a hug from a man that don’t want nothing from you you don’t know how that speaks volume to some of these young girls that have been violated by their so-called father
Figures or uncles or grandfathers and to hear a man say I don’t want nothing from you but to love you dysfunctional dysfunctional you have sisters that are jealous of the other sister no matter what this sister does they always come up with the negative they always come up with why you
Shouldn’t and you this and you this always talking about my short coming yet and still when I do do something good it’s a problem you downplay it you don’t want nobody to get the spot like but you so it’s a constant competition it’s a constant I got to keep my guard up
Because your words cut so hard you know exactly what to say because you grew up with me we grew up together you know my weaknesses and you poke the Bear right there a sister that’s supposed to be my best friend has now turned to be my enemy and my worst nightmare
Dysfunctional dysfunctional you have brothers that are looking or sons that are looking for acceptance looking for affirmation looking for a place to say I belong but yet and still the father is not there the father is missing so now they running out there and they’re looking for belonging in all the wrong
Places and believe me the enemy has a trap set look at how many of our young black men are being killed every day the enemy has a trap set because they’re looking for love in all the wrong places they’re looking for Acceptance in all the wrong places they’re looking for
Belonging and a sense of family in all the wrong places and the enemy dangles the carrot and say come over here come over here and now they in the wrong place at the wrong time and their life is cut short dysfunction dysfunction a lot of dysfunction is going on and so we begin
This dis destructive dance that perpetrate that I’m sorry let me read this again the way I wrote it the way I heard it in my mind holy spirit help me deliver this the way you gave it to me and now we begin this destructive dance that perpet that penet perpetuates
That’s the word that perpetuates dysfunction abuse maladaptive Behavior sturs you know what a sturb is a shortterm energy release beh behavior and sturs are activities that you do to distract you from the pain distract you from the grief distract you from the loss to feel that void it’s a shortterm
Energy release that maybe you going have sex smoke weed drink alcohol buy and go shopping maybe you go on work out maybe you eat too much maybe you do all these other things behaviors to feel the void of that shortcoming stirs and all of this dysfunctional Behavior diverts us from our destiny
Course that God has ordain for us all in search of Family inclusivity Purpose and belonging come on somebody if you right there just throw some heart just throw some praying hands if you can relate to anything I’ve said just throw some praying hands Hallelujah the Bible says that we are
Members of one body many members but of one body of one body that we are fitly joined together and on tonight I want to dive into 1 Corinthians 12 12-4 and then we going to close up with Ephesians 4 13-6 and here in this where we talk

When I feel myself getting stressed sometimes work would do that or other elements outside of my control will try to stress me what I will do is sit in my chair and I will do a body scan I will start from my head and just slowly
Breathe and going down to my feet and actually thinking about each part of the body that cancels all the thoughts that’s in my head that bill that’s due that project that’s due why are they still calling me why is this happening why did that come out of my account I
Wasn’t expecting that why is they texting me what is going on I forgot to take my medicine whatever the issue may be whatever the issue may be I start to focus on different parts of the body my head then I’ll go to my chest feel my
Heart going up feel my lungs go to my stomach area go to my legs my hip then go down to my feet wiggle my toes wiggle my hands it calms me down but all of those parts of this body makes up one event all of these parts of this body
Expresses what I wanted to express to the outside world even if I don’t say a word if I’m mad you will know it my body pure will tell you if I got a problem if I’m not feeling you if I don’t want to be bothered my body posture will tell you
My eyes will go as my daughter say Chinese eyes my lips will get a little tight I may cross my hands my head may get a little crooked and you’ll feel it and you can start feeling it in your body I a’t even said a word but my body
