Today I’m going to attempt in my little way to share a little Fe few amazing facts of the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe so um without further Ado we will keep our devotion to to Our Lady of Sorrows a little shorter so we have more

Piety as we journey on in our lives we are also very aware that there are so many others who are facing huge huge tragedy struggles of being displaced from their own homes and they have to evacuate they could be businessmen they could be professors but all these events
Affect everyone it affects us too even we’re not running away let us pray for all those who are directly affected and all those who are uh helping giving Aid we pray for divine assistance Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee blessed art thou among

All those who have um chosen to not be in the family unit and ran away from home or even their own countries let us pray also for all separated families all broken families Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee blessed art thou among

Jesus in his Agony Dear Mother by thy Afflicted heart obtain for me the virtue of temperance and the gift of counsel we pray for all those who are dying at this very moment we as our lady to accompany every dying soul and I’m sure you would have seen there
Some uh stories which showed people dying and with a big smile on their faces they they would say oh she’s so beautiful she is so beautiful and then they go so very peacefully as if our lady is taking them by herself so we pray uh for a holy death we ask St

Mean little because we don’t have that much time and I’m not the expert but what I read just truly just blew my mind and I I just had to share it uh and it did is if you didn’t already know on the 12th of December every year is the feast
Of Our Lady of guad Lupe and it is an amazing story if you don’t know about s Juan Diego and how he went up the hill a mountain and how he met our lady and how our lady gave uh asked him to build a a
Church for her and he went to the bishop Bishop didn’t believe him and he wanted Bishop wanted some proof or some uh some sign that P dieo really saw our lady and when he went back there our lady said here take these flowers and those flowers appeared in Winter which is
Impossible these flowers don’t appear in Winter and when he went to the bishop and waited to see the bishop when he opened his cloak out came the flowers but also the imprint of Our Lady of Guadalupe on his little cloak so it’s not a big thing you know imagine like an
Apron but just from the top down a big apron and that’s about all there that’s how big it is it’s not so big uh what I want to share is this how how amazing this image is they’ve done a lot of scienic scientific investigations on this image did you know that this image
Was really um so famous that somebody wanted to bombit somebody came with a bouquet of flowers and inside stuck 12 sticks of dynamite put it in front of our lady’s image in the attempt to blow the image up but instead everything else was destroyed you see what we have here
Is a massive bronze crucifix that was placed at the foot of our lady’s statue no sorry at the foot of the the tilma of Our Lady of water Lupe the image and that Bron St cross was bent over it was just bent over everything else was destroyed the window panes of um the
Pews everything but our lady of gual Lupe’s image which was just behind one one very um fragile glass piece was untouched it was totally untouched everything was destroyed and this is also the most amazing to me was that the the Puma itself was made from a cacti fibers and
These fibers are so uh the spacing The Weave is so um wide that you can open that you can see through the weave it is just no artist will think of painting on this kind of fabric no artist would think of it and this is a a modern day
Version so if you don’t know what it is you maybe might think of a Jud material you know j u t something like that a very open weave very rough and this was um St Juan Diego’s fabric of because it is the the poorest of the poor the poorest people
Would buy this kind of fut it’s a very cheap material well back in 1531 and also now no artist would think of painting on this material because it just won’t hold the paint now I have done some painting myself uh while I was in school I did find arts and there are
Canvases and different types of material where if it was a canvas they put another L first they put a layer to what we call Prim it so that the material the surface will be more ready to receive the color and if we don’t prime it the paint might sink right into the fabric
And the color might not be so vibrant and so on now this technique was only um discovered well discovered or invented much later much much later in 1531 nobody would have thought of using a technique like this so the cloth was not primed now there were two NASA professors NASA
If you know is the the people the space people what is what is National Aeronautics and Space Administration okay so the two professors used infrared to examine the painting and they found that like I said the surface of the cloth was not prepared it was not a prepared cloth for
Painting and also it’s been nearly 500 years this year will be 492 years since s Juan Diego met our lady with and and was presented with this image the color that was on the image had remained unchanged over all these years now I was just explaining to
Emmanu if you go to a very old church and you look at these very old paintings um 100 years or even 200 years old if you have a chance even a 100 year old painting you can see that it might be very brown or very dark or very muted
The colors are not very bright it was not meant to be like that the painters had used very bright paints to paint the paintings and then they would have put a vanish but over the years the vanish would have made the painting D you know they say that even Mona Lisa
If you look at it that’s not the original color that the that was meant that that was painted anyway I digress so but they found that the color did not change and they also found now this is these are what botanists say they found that the color that was on the thma
Was not of any plantbased paint neither animal so it is not not anything anybody knows they don’t know how the color got onto the tilma they don’t know it’s not brush it’s not a paint so they don’t know what it is and next picture oh sorry I meant to pray that
Later and um another thing was her eyes you know like I said how big is that theas not very big so our lady’s face would have been only a very small area and but when they zoomed in zoom zoom zoom zoom all the way in they found that the pupil was so
Defined that on both sides of the pupil there were defined shapes that was the same on both eyes and it was said that it was from the perspective of our Lady how she saw the people who were present when St Juan Diego opened up the dma they counted 13 people 13 shapes on
Both sides which is microscopic and that my brothers and sisters is a miracle it’s a true Miracle wa what other facts do we need to know to say this is a miracle I I and I say I’ve only just touched the surface I am going to put two
