Go off what I was already good at and so at the time I was working at a a eyeglass place called lens crafers so I I was the sales manager I was the sales manager I trained everybody there too so I was like okay what do I got well I got
A biology degree and good with people so I said all right well I’m going going to go work in the uh 9 and5 so I try to hold um pharmaceutical rip sales route that didn’t work out oh you trying to be fancy man you yo n Kurt you know how to you know
How the pharmaceutical sales us be bro they gri you bro you remember remember the other year I told you I got burned up on that $140,000 wholesale fee yeah a pharmaceutical sales rep bro see what I’m saying hey shout out to the farm RS

So I started working I had love this I started working I actually started working at a company called Aerotech shout out to aerot Tech all right was a recruiting firm and I was an industrial recruiter bro I used to recruit for all the Coler accounts in the state of Arkansas it
Wasn’t enough money bro they was paying me 1225 an hour while I was on uh what’s those things when you before you actually probation oh like when you get a new job new hire probation yeah yeah it was for six months dang they not playing no games over
There they weren playing no games so if you didn’t hit that six month you was out so I was just like damn all right I got at this time I was living in an apartment it was a loft apartment I’m talking about with the garage boy on the
Inside I say you was feeling oh oh come on man I was I’ve always been you know come on man don’t do that respect respect I had to make some more money yeah had to make some more money so that’s when like my wholesale started
Picking up in the top of my mind but I wasn’t just active yet but that’s when I found you got it so what and this is now this is 20 this is the end of 2019 early all right coming in 2020 all right so talk to me this is right when I first

Getting at the time I was closing one deal every three months made have been 2,000 whale feed po the how were you how were you doing that talk about that real fast right H your first couple of deals this is like the painstaking thing for a lot of people your first couple deals
Like how you really how you really activate those while you talking I’m gonna turn my camera off and back on but but talk about how you got those first couple ones done man um actually Chris man if I’m being real with you I really don’t even know I don’t even know
Because after I’m like where I’m at now in my business I don’t even know how I got them done to be I don’t really know how I got I know one lady had a uh I know one lady had a uh dad that died and I just right there at the right place
Right time I didn’t know nothing about a dollar I didn’t know nothing about a follow-up system we gotta talk about this man I didn’t know I didn’t knowt we gotta talk about this man because I Kurt I think you would agree you’ve been around the fam a long time I think you
Would agree a lot of times people are trying to get into this business and they got they got every ment barrier in the world as to why they can’t take action they’re like oh I don’t got a dollar oh I don’t have money for a list
Oh I don’t have right like H how how did you get this understanding I guess where you say to yourself like I don’t need all this stuff like I just gonna I’m just gonna grind because I I I want to hear the answer to that and then I want
To go back to that moment you know the moment I’m talking about it’s like yo shout out to the wife right like that moment where like you you went to get that pizza we got to talk about that because I think that’s that’s important yeah we we rocking on
WE rocking all we taking you from the point a all the way down to Z with this so talk about it yeah go go so like I said at that point I really didn’t know what that was I was just trying to get I was just trying to get me some money
Like I’m gonna be honest I was just trying to money I didn’t know nothing about no dollar my first dollar was Google Voice and I had my first dollar was my hand that’s it uh I had my first C CRM it was a a pencil and a piece of paper I literally
Used to write people names down on a sheet of paper and put their address and the phone number now now how did you have time to call though like how how did you how are you in a position to have time to do this I did it on my
Lunch hold up so you working your job you’re going on your lunch break and try and making calls on your lunch break yeah I used to go to I used to uh go to a appointments on my lunch I used to come back to work late from my
Lunch from an appointment man you sound like me bro he was getting grimy it was whatever you had to do I remember my old boss I be popping up I’m like you know what I’m saying like you just doing what you got to do so you grinding this thing out you’re hand
Diing you just you hustling right like you just doing whatever you can to try to make something shake what was the motivation and inspiration in that moment that like I’m sure you have fears like everybody else I’m sure you had mental blocks like everybody else but like there’s a difference between the
People that like they get stuck in that like I talked about last night on our coaching call right like some people get stuck in the quicksand of that but then you also see people like yourself that like somehow fight through it what what was the motivation inspiration that was
Driving you to like I I I mean I got to respect that right like you going on your lunch break taking calls all this like what’s making that happen for you well so at the moment man I was uncomfortable uh I remember well everything everything I
Used to go to work I used to go to work mad come out of work mad uh I remember shout out to my I’mma go ahead and say shout out to my old fouryear old manager man uh I literally came to her on my last appointment this was my last
Appointment before I lost my job I came her and I asked her I said why is it that I can build this business I should just build my own and she looked at me she looked at me and she said no you shouldn’t do that that would be too much
Risk and at that moment I was like all right CA she just talking about living an ordinary life under them working at the working at the job selling the dream that what you should be doing is go hit the company contest to get that little that that little that little company raffle man
Get the vacation the vacation I already know bro Kurt why do is so funny right it’s crazy how people’s Journeys and experiences can be similar that’s why it’s important to facilitate and even have these type of conversations I remember I’m working at T-Mobile they doing all that type of stuff Kurt who
Whoever hit the best kpis for the quarter for the six months they sending you on that vacation for two all includ you know what I’m saying it’s somewhere you ain’t never been before you like yo like I gotta I gotta work my ass off to get thereo looking crazy and crazy come

Got out the six months I was making like 40 ,000 a year at the at the job you’ve been at at aerot yeah a $4,000 a year so I was applying for new jobs at this time I had got another job and it was a I’m throwing names out there too after shout

Appreciate your talent but we gonna have to go ahead and shut this position down this is Aerotech no this was after oh this is the this is the new the new company this is the new company I just accepted a job you just so you just danced in the end zone at
Aerotech I know how it is like you know what I’m saying you telling your co-workers y’all be I wish you the best I ain’t answer the email all week come on you I’m out of here man I ain’t helping y’all no more it’s over with the new company call you they say
Kurt thanks but no thanks thanks but no thanks so now I’m assuming Kurt this C is a situation where you don’t got a job you a got no job right so you you know you was trying to make a leap get back inside they tell me to
Give me they say hey hey man we don’t need you right now turn your laptop in cuz you because you was trying to they had that two we period bro I just got off the phone at 12 o’clock and these folks told me they didn’t leave and I
Walk back in the building and the job I was I was counting on that two week you know how you got your last two weeks you got you manage it out you manage it out you manage it out last cheick walking back in the door they said Curtis we
Don’t need you to finish that two week no more brother just turn your laptop you can leave the building right now n Kurt that’s really how they do it too man they really do it just like that they be like n you good we a’t pay you
Think we gonna pay you and you told us you quitting that’s why after that happened to me for the first time I ain’t never put in there two weeks again after that man whatever day I was leaving that’s when I was out man what’s the point dog that’s that’s when I was
Out man so so now you don’t got no job right the job he was jumping to that’s a dub right so you you’re in a situation you got one on the way how do you how are you navigate I’m sure I’m sure your old lady was on your bumper right dog hold up

30 son three years old I was 25 26 at the time so like you know you really ain’t know I mean we don’t know nothing we don’t know nothing you don’t really know nothing so how you taking care of your family then right like what does that even look
Like man uh at the moment man at that time man I I had like under $1,000 like in my account at that time at that time $1,000 in my account and just so happened man it was the first of the it was kind of like one of them
First of the month type of deal so I really yeah so it was just one of those things that I really didn’t know how I was gonna operate or feed my family for real for real I was just you know I was praying that something was going to
Happen but at the time I was still kind of wholesaling so so like I knew that I had a deal that I was working on was supposed to come around at one point I just didn’t never know when it was gonna come around so man that was a time in my
Life I really didn’t really kind of know what I was gonna do like I just bought a house like I just closed on a mortgage before this happened yes I just because I bought I bought my house I bought this house with my lady because I had a son
On the way and we wanted to give something special so when I I got out there six months I was making a little I making 40,000 45 I live in Arkansas man don’t really cost you can get active a little bit with that you can be okay you
Can be at that time you could be okay man so I really didn’t I really didn’t know how I was gonna feed my family Chris you know it was just one of those things that I had to wake up every day and was kind of like it was like sink or
Swim yeah what was that moment for you though in that in that part of your journey right where it like like got real for you though right where it’s like it’s like okay like I I gotta like I I’ve been I’ve been going at this thing a little bit here and there yeah
Right I’ve been you know because it sounds like to me right you’re juggling a couple things right because it’s like I was talking to my boy a couple of days ago and we were talking about sometimes you got a couple balls in the air and you don’t really know which one’s going
To hit for you or not and so you kind of pursuing all of them at the same time it it seems like for you you get to this spot where it’s like the only thing that might really be able to save you is whing that’s it right so like what what
Was that moment in this process that like happened to you where you had to get that moment of realization like okay like maybe it’s time to really take this serious well so at the time like I didn’t have a job so I was doing my interview thing like I was still trying
To interview and I was still trying to whale but like I said I had one in escro but I just didn’t know if it was really gonna close right the months and days go by you know I’m leaving the D I’m going driving for dollars I’m doing everything
I can I’m picking up the phone I’m hearing no uh stop calling me stuff I had on the contract start I following through so it’s just like one of them things to where it’s like all right I need to go back to work bro I need you
Gotta make some money how real quick Kurt how do you balance contracts falling through that’s something it happens in this business it’s a part of the process for everybody but I know it’s always that devastating blow when it happens like how are you you got all this
Finan pressure happening in your life at the moment how are you dealing with contracts falling through and trying to work through that too at the time I cried that’s I needed it bro TR you know i’ be crying y everybody in you fan know I’d be crying everybody outside of you
Fan they be like yo this dude always like but you know I’ll sh come on man real men cry I don’t care nobody got to say yeah and I don’t care about up so you dealing with that and you just had that moment where you just
Had to let that out 100% 100 perc but I don’t think it really kind of got real for me though Chris until I got like a couple weeks in and was no paycheck coming through and I was doing the interview thing and was no job offers
Getting accepted so one day man uh I went I went off and I was just trying to feed the fam I knew I had some money but I didn’t know really how much money you know how when you you got your car it’s it’s some money on here it’s something’s
Going it’s something on it it’s G maybe the overdraft kick in for a dollar or two but it’s I already know I remember how it be yeah on here man I went to a a pizza spot in L rock well it’s in B it’s called Paxton man it was I just trying
To get something to eat Saturday one day uh for the fam man and you know my lady sent it up you know how you do you lady call the order in you go pick it up you go boom I swipe my car Chris and it
Declin I look at my bank account and now I know reality just hit I don’t got no money I got cause cause is it that moment Kurt where you’re like telling yourself the story everything is going to work out one of these jobs are going to hit something’s going to come through
I got enough to kind of hang on on and and you go to get that pizza bro you swipe your card it declines you check your account I don’t know if you’re like I was when I was dealing with my stuff like I I used to hate checking checking
My bank account like I just say’t like looking at it right like I ain’t like seeing how much money I didn’t have for real right so you you had that moment of realization you you you look at your account I I feel like this was like when
