Everyone go out and buy that right now uh maybe you can tell us a little bit about the book um as well so the name of the book is um revolutionary Theory racing class um it talks a lot about racing class um and the intersectionality it also talks
About a lot of other commentary stuff you know um anywhere from arm struggle arm resistance to you know election electoral politics and um it it talks about it has different levels of you know um un you know it has basically it covers a Gambit of
Topics um you know and one of the things that talks about is you know from Palestine it talks about you know Black’s placing a proletarian struggle it talks about you know the you know just different you know working class topics right on so everybody that is in

Home so it’s exciting yes yes I I would like to second that um sorry I forgot that agenda item um the dip the wrongly imprisoned and tortured Diplomat um acting on behalf of the Venezuelan people trying to get food from the Iranians to the Venezuelan people to avoid the the brutal us
Sanctions um was arrested in Kate ver for years now is finally free um not only because the negotiations from the Venezuelan government but pressure from folks right here um in the United States from the belly of the Beast our comrade Alex Suarez who I’ve been to De we’
We’ve met um all three of us were in DC together for the black people’s March on Washington um he Alex Suarez actually was able to speak with um the chairman of the yuru movement and get him to mention and also promote um the releasing of of Alex sa
Like right right before this happened and he went to the court cases and now he’s free um I think it’s a victory for Venezuela and it’s a victory for the Anti-Imperialist block so right on brother so let’s get into let’s go back in time a little bit
I’m gonna talk about one I believe the the greatest North Carolinian um that ever lived that’s my home state from Monroe North Carolina 40 minutes up the road from me um the great Robert F Williams and a lot of people you never heard about them everybody hears about
Martin Luther King you know that’s the main civil rights icon and then maybe if you want a little bit more radical maybe you heard about Malcolm X some but that’s about it they don’t talk about the roots and and where it started and the explosion in the 1960s and the black
Freedom struggle and really what motivated a lot of the people in the Black Power movement um especially the Panthers um I was reading um his book his semi-autobiography um Memoirs of Robert F Williams negroes with guns I’m listening to the audio book I’m a trucker it’s only three hours long I’m
About two and a half I got about two out of the three hours in in preparation for this and it’s interesting if people want to go back I was able to study um the 10-point program o of the of the Black Panthers on this program uh
With with a with a with a great sister from Texas and um and also the brother from a Cho brother out in um out west we were to do a study on the Black Panthers and we did a 10-point program right well I was thinking well you know who else does 10-point programs
The Communists like North Koreans but you know who did a 10-point program before the Panthers there was the 10-point Monroe program that they were tired of just trying to get the segregated desegregated pool which they won with guns in North Carolina in the late 50s and they desegregated the
Library Robert F Williams LED that struggle too uh they won both that but they retired a just that and then they brought in what about the unemployment issue before he was exiled from the country he brought up in the 10-point program right here in Monroe before the
Panthers did it what about the economic discrimination what about the mass unemployment of the of of the black masses in Monroe North Carolina where where Union where jobs were fleeing to Union North coming down here for cheap labor and then excluding black workers from from those jobs in the
South um they were able to push that and they were able to link that economic strouble with the non-violent Civil Rights Movement but Robert F Williams was born in 1925 Monroe North Carolina he fed the great M The Great Migration went up north worked in Jersey worked in
Michigan he ended up he joined the Marines and he was a World War II veteran and while he was in World War II he learned about you know how to arm himself how to defend himself um how to carry out military tactics um he also
Picked up on a lot of what is taught in the American school system um he learned that out west that when the laws don’t come to protect the people the people need to arm themselves and protect themselves and for white Americans they were given that right but black black
Folks or Africans in America were denied those rights and he just saw is simple but when he tried to appeal what the United States claimed to value and the rights they claim to have to the black folks in the south in the late 50s in Monroe North
Carolina they were they realized the law won’t come to help them and it’s hard to imagine the terror of what um black people in this state went through only 70 years ago um I think a lot has changed um for the better but a lot hasn’t changed and
If we look at the tactics of the Civil Rights Movement it was about it was largely about a lunch counter you know it was about ending segregation ending a lot of the humiliation and Robert F Williams was against ending that humiliation but he wanted to take a step
Further and he did to the economic component if you look today we have um integrated schools integrated Library underfunded we got a lot of these stuff a lot of we don’t have the clan lynching people and getting away with it we got cops killing people well yeah but but these economic rights
Of mass unemployment of discrimination of resources nothing has changed on those they’re still the same um go ahead Musa you got to interject go ahead no yeah I was going to say that you know um the we still have red lining we still have so the struggle continues I mean we
We’ve pushed the ball forward but we you know there’s still a lot of of of work to still be done um but yeah Robert uh if you think about in context you know when Robert uh Williams was doing a lot of his organ organizing it
Was at a time and place preil rights um the preil rights movement or before the pre you know around the time Civil Rights Movement um but he was one of the first people to really like push the armed struggle um you know the armed struggle movement you know um and I actually uh
I’m actually trying to pull up my book now so I can um I actually talked about the importance of arm struggle in in um in my in my book you know um and so he was one of like the first he was one of like the first people to actually you know talk
About um the arm struggle so so let’s get back to his life story he goes up north he works he works some of the industrial jobs up there he serves in the the US military in World War II um and then he comes back to Monroe North Carolina with this education with
This understanding and the the the local NAACP was largely left alone the local NAC was mostly the bis the black bis doctors um people the few people in the black community they had a little bit of money were in the were in the nwacp and the white community and the
White racist a lot of a lot of them were racist um still are um just more subtly but um they largely left the NAACP alone until they the NAC started trying to integrate to schools and there was terrorist violence against the bis members the black bgea and a lot
Of them just left the NAACP so Robert Williams comes back wants to support his community and there’s only like five members left of a large of what was a larger organization and he said and they wanted to dissolve it and Robert elf William was like no I ain’t gonna
Dissolve it and they elect him um president of the nacp more of a workingclass guy um and they’re like it’s probably going to fall apart just let him let it die with him but he didn’t let it die and he asked the old the black bgea hey come
Back to unbl CP they’re like no I ain’t gonna get shot by racist and he goes into a pool hall and he says hey we’re gonna give these white folks some trouble puts the membership cards down he he recruits he recruits everybody in that pool hall
Um most people said here my my and a lot of people I Ain got to does right now but I’m going to join you next week and he grew in a small town the endp from a six person organization to an over to an over 250 person organization within within
Weeks this is a serious organizer commentator someone who can reach his own people and speak the language of the people like that that’s amazing and then he goes on to integrate the public library integrate the pool the pool house and there was a moment and and a
Change in his politics and then there was a number of in instances that happened in Monroe to the to the black community we won’t even think possible today um we’re talking about a mother of five kicked down a flight of stairs by a hotel guest got away with it we’re
Talking about sexual assault on a black on a black mother and then they she goes to court and and the defense says hey he got a wife a nice beautiful white wife at home why would he touch this why would he touch this looking at the black woman in
A public court in North Carolina these were the indignities that black folks had to go through right in this state not too long ago and a lot of these people were involved in this went on to become politicians later on some of the police Chiefs some of the Mayors became
National politicians in this country some of the disgust racist um that would allow rape would allow assault would allow daily in humilities segregation um he segre he desegregated the pool desegregated the library um and a lot of people think Robert F Williams was some kind of radical um like oh he’s too horrible
He’s too radical he’s crazy he’s creating V but if you actually read his writings it’s just basic self-defense politics that white Americans take for granted that he’s some kind of crazy radical for saying but anyways when he when that woman um was was sexually assaulted and a lot some of the family
Members wanted to take out Vigilant Justice against the would be rapist and Robert F William was like nah we’re gonna go to court we’re GNA do just the right thing see how it goes they let off the white man just let the the white the dude who sexually assaulted this woman
Basically telling every black woman in this community that hey white women can white men can physically sexually assault you and there’s nothing the law is going to do about it and then the president of thec Robert F Williams goes on to the courthouse and right down here in monreal North
Carolina go ahead go ahead add to it brother no I was going to say you had to understand you know in 1955 still with me um yeah I’m still can you hear me can you hear me yeah I got you can you hear me okay
Yeah yeah I hear you you uh you know during this time uh yes I hear you can you hear me yeah yeah I can hear you we’re talking about a time and place where we’re talking about a time and place where you know cities uh black neighborhoods and black towns were being
Burnt down we’re talking about a time where lynching was very common um I was just watching this uh documentary about the south and um during this time period the early 1960s early 1950s and up to the 1970s and it talked about lynching and some of the reasons why black people
Were lynched during that time so violence State sanctioned or you know violence was very very common uh you know we’re talking about anything you know what I mean you you could do anything and the police basically turned a blind eye you know black people had
No um what was it in the py versus Ferguson argument that black people had no rights that white people were were had uh were were allowed or or had the authority to recognize so basically blacks had no rights we were still considered second class citizens around
This time so it it is very important to like put that in context that what Robert will you know what he was doing was Radical because it was it was it was you know the first time you know during that time had people like MLK who were and and Snick and and other
Organizations that were taking the nonviolent approach um and you had people like Robert Willie will um Williams and people like Malcolm X who were talking about self-defense for black people you know because we knew that the cops weren’t going to protect us the courts weren’t going to
Protect us we had no rights that white people had to respect or you know what I mean so we were like how we could defend ourselves you know it’s like I said it’s it’s it it wasn’t going out and picking a fight but it it showed that you know Robert and Robert Williams
Writings he talked about like he looked at it from a self-defense standpoint where we’re not going to pick a fight but if a fight comes to us we’re going to be able to meet that you know force with force and it’s very similar like I said
To what I talked about in my book about the uh um I mentioned um FR can I I don’t know if I can I can I read it real quick I just want to read this quickly sure um France fan theory of violence uh it says fans contends
That violence is an inherent part of the de colonization process he argues that oppressed must use violence to dismantle the psychology and psych physical structures of colonial domination armed struggle according to Fran is a necessary means to reclaim dignity and Achieve Liberation very very powerful
So he I’m sorry he comes out of the courtroom where he told the family of of this woman who faced sexual assault he tells them no don’t do it don’t don’t hurt this guy and then he Witnesses the the guy who sexually assaulted this mother in the
Community and they come up to sim and they said you now you just told them that we’re open season you just told them it’s okay for them to sexually assault us and Robert F William looks back at the family he says not one not one more day am i g to let
That message rang out that we’re sitting ducks I’m gonna meet violence with violence and when they were trying to desegregate the pool which they won they showed up armed and you notice how a lot of the Civil Rights protesters you look at the great um an Moody you know I
Believe who who had a woman would would fear courage from humble roots um would sit at the lunch counter they put mustard on her they’d spit on her and they slap her and the people in Monroe North Carolina when they did their stins and when they did their
Pickets they didn’t face they didn’t face none of that they didn’t have to worry about none of that because the racists were cowards and even though even though the racist outgunned them and outnumbered them they were not gonna they were not going to harass spit on
And slap um armed people um that had little to lose and we’re fighting for on the just I look at it like a bully right sometimes a bully the only thing that a bully understand is is violence or selfdefense you know what I mean like when when you’re dealing with
A person who or a state in this in this case that is they want you to be scared they want you to to just get along and and the minute you you stand up to them you know they cowardly back down you know what I mean so if it’s it
It’s like I said uh you know arm struggle is a a must even to this day you know what I mean like we have to stop thinking that the revolutions we can just protest and and sit in and and and dance and and and and die in our way
Into Revolution that’s not going to happen we can we we cannot think you don’t think that the that you know the system of Oppression is just going to be able to it’s just going to you know you hold a protest okay giving up power you know oh you know
Colonizing and white supremacy isn’t going to give up just because you protest you know what I mean armed struggle to this day is still a vital importance maybe I get one more tactical example before I go on to the the rest of his story um one time when they were
Um picketing to Des desegregate the pool um there was thousands of clan members racist out ofate folks ready to uh combat a massive mob of people that came up for like just a few maybe 10 15 people and they didn’t know they had guns and they showed the
Guns and the crowd backed up and then the police showed up and said disarm and Robert as Wills were like we’re not going to disarm in front of his mob you can you can um you can come get my guns later at my h house because the mob was
Shouting kill the explicit term kill the explicit term burn the explicit racist term so the thousands of people and Robert F Williams in his book says if they weren’t armed they would have been killed they would have been lynched just like countless other people did in the South who didn’t AR
Themselves if Robert F Williams would not have been armed at that moment he would have died he would have been killed by the racist mob and it would have barely been talked about but because he had the full strength of a man and stood up for himself saved his
Own life that story was heard in China that story was heard in Russia that the masses of black people are standing up for themselves and and um later on and 1961 um the Freedom Writers came down and they came out to support him Robert F Williams was in favor of nonviolent
Tactics yes he said if the nonviolent tactics work do them I’m all for it but all he said was I’ve seen some places where that nonviolent stuff ain’t going to work and I had to do otherwise he was for using the whole toolbox whatever worked any means necessary nonviolence
Violence that’s the way he saw it um he but he he thought thought he had to use nonviolent something they did and he did but anyways they come down and the and things are kind of heated and supposedly a a white uh couple got lost in the black neighborhood supposedly lost I
Don’t know um but anyways there was a black mob of people who were tired of the Injustice and indignities because racists would commonly go into the black community and shoot them up and they’d have to run them out because the cops wouldn’t do nothing so this uh the masses of black people weren’t
Having any violence done to them tonight and Robert F Williams was was told of this this white couple that came into the black community and he was he was in scared for their lives that they would be killed so he brought them into their house to save them from his own
Community and because and then later on they were they waited till they could they could leave after the crowd dispersed and then that couple went back to the police station and Robert F Williams was charged with kidnapping after saving this couple’s life and he was forced to flee the country and
Because um they heard in in in the international news the news they ain’t gonna do the the the media here would not publish his works the Chinese press the Soviet press they published what was going on Monroe North Carolina and they knew about him and he went to he had
Been working with the Cubans he at first he went to Cuba and then he went to China and later on in 1975 he was he came back to the country and he retired and he died of old age lived well he fought he resisted he armed himself he fought for the community he
Made victories he went all over the world meeting friends having a time of his life learning new things that any that that would blow to mind of any country board down here in North Carolina especially within the black community had all these wonderful amazing experiences and lived his life
Out and he he would ALS he would often say um you know why they put Malcolm X and Martin Luther King and always put that in the face of folks of young black men um it’s because okay what’d he do he stood up for himself what happened to
Him he died well Robert F Williams stood up for his community armed himself and lived a happy fulfilling long life and set an example go ahead brother I’m I’m getting near the end of end of my presentation yeah no I just um wanted to like reate yeah can you hear
Me yeah no I just wanted to reiterate like you know the the idea that you know you know as as black people even to this day you know it is important that we learn from people like Robert Williams not just you know like you said we hear about Malcolm
X we hear about King we hear about you know a few other people but it you know it is great that we are able to understand and and learn from the life of Robert Williams you know I think he what he did was so vient and he needs to
Be commemorated you know what I mean he needs to be talked about and celebrated just as those other Heroes uh uh in black history are because to me you know like you said they only they only they only celebrate you when you die you know what I mean they only celebrate you if
If when you die you know what I mean so I I just feel like it’s uh um I’m happy to be here and I’m happy to be a part of this and understand and study the life of you know a hero like Robert Williams very very powerful so I mean so he while he was in China in MA China um he gave this speech and we’d like to read a little bit um of his own words and then um have a brief discussion um to finish the rest of the the program uh brother Musa could
You start us off um wi with the reading this is a speech in China made in China published in the Chinese press from August 12th 1966 okay um this speech was given to demonstrators at a demonstration in pan on August 8th 1966 condemning discrimination in the US against afro-americans inoc support of their

Will be victorious in their just struggle the evil systems of colon colonialism and imperialism arose and throve with the enslavement of negroes and the trade of negroes and it will surely come to an end with the complete emancipation of the black people today in the social Jungle of RAC IST America
The rights of colored people are less respected than those of Common Street dogs the laws and the kangaroo courts of the so-called free world of Christian democracy protect the rights of Common Street dogs and other dumb animals but there is not a single court of law that dispenses evenhanded Justice and
Unbiased constitutional and human rights to the colored American the long and brutal miserable plight of our people throughout the history of a barbaric America encompasses one of the most shameful and Savage chapters in the history of slavery and man’s Injustice to man The dominated class in racist
America is one of the most hypoc hypocritical the world has ever seen it captured the African and Africa enslaved him ripped him from his culture raped him reproduced from him completely dehumanized him and reduced him to the level of beast of burden and stamped him
With the name negro as a tribute to the white man’s creation an invention of a new Implement of Agriculture and an instrument of Labor and all the whites all the while he promotes the brutal slavery he proclaims himself the architect of democracy and a Christian Society all the while he
Himself brutally and savagely exterminated the American Indian and piously proclaimed Thanksgiving to his white God for being so generous to to blessing him with the bounties of the N Indians rich land and Paradise he built a brutal imperialist prison War around the people of Latin America and piously
Named it protective Monroe Doctrine he stretched his bloody hand to Asia and arrogantly called it an open door policy the open door policy while the policy of an armed Bandit at the door of a peaceful man today the same Bandit rapes and plunders the land of Vietnam murders defenses women and children and
Exterminates the people of the name of Free World Christian democracy the same band who exterminated and starved the American Indians on his own native land soil now preply proclaims to practice charity to the name nation of India is a hypocritical effort to use them in his campaign to subdue and enslave the

Supremacist is personified by hypocrisy Hypocrites like Bobby Kennedy a sophisticated huster a charlatan of the first magnitude who struck and swayed into the hot beds of African white supremacy and colonialism hugging and kissing black babies and masquerading as a great white father and savior of the black Africans Mr Kennedy’s action is a
Racist American and quite a contrast to his deceitful conduct in Africa when Mr Kennedy served as the Attorney General of the United States he was sworn to uphold the rights of equal protection under the law yet he collaborated with the most barbaric racist in the nation he entered into a white gentleman’s
Agreement with the notorious racist governor of Mississippi Ross Barnett defenselessly and helplessly black women and children were bombed gassed clubbed raped murdered on the main streets of racist America and Mr Kennedy is yet to punish a single white supremacist he in transgressor as attorney General he did nothing about the fact that Africans
Were being beaten in the United States even the Diplomat assigned to the UN it was a strange indeed how Mr Kennedy can perform the racist chores of those who chant slogans of hatal vilification and dehumanization for black people in America while proclaiming he pretended great love for black Humanity in Africa
Such is the nature and deceptive and barbaric Yankee in America Mr Kennedy publicly proclaimed himself to be oppressed to black nationalism in his white supremacy logic he called it racism in Reverse black nationalism is a survival reaction to white nationalism white nationalism transcends race religious class social
And political lines the reason that no massive black white Unity on national scale exist today is that white supremacist ruling class have poisoned the minds of white workers most white workers identify with the white imperialist ruler white liberals insist on patreon uh paternalism even bwm minded so-called socialists are more and
