Hello and welcome back today we are continuing here as the Roman Republic big and red as we should be last episode we did expand the market quite a bit made a lot of money moves um kind of fueled by the league or sorry the Brotherhood of Millers um which helped
Us to establish such a large Market obviously this episode we are going to be ramping up at the very least our Navy a little bit we have another 30 coming on in and I think we’re going to look to have a bigger Navy than everyone else but the UK and we’re just generally
Going to play dodge the UK um I think we can fight everyone else pretty comfortably at this point if we take a look at GDP our GDP is pretty large relative to other people I guess we would not really love to fight the north German fed but we’re going to continue
To make moves to try and uh free up the Mediterranean balkanize it some more so that we can take stuff we’ve done that over here you know freeing these countries so we can Annex them freeing them so we can Annex them Etc and we’ll continue to do this while trying to
Maintain relatively low infamy which is going to be a little bit tricky specifically because the one we’re looking up to break up is going to be Spain uh because you know that’s pretty big chunk of Iberia but Spain has a defensive p with Portugal which uh is a bit annoying cuz
Portugal is inside of our customs Union and we’re siphoning off Pops from them so we might have to let go of that this episode we’ll see how things go as we continue on our Rome run so we have something a little bit interesting here in that the French Empire uh got control
Of uh I think I can’t remember if this is Zambia or Zanzibar but they got control of the state right and it’s Zanzibar shout out to Zanzibar and they got control of the state but then they lost it against a native Uprising which then makes it now decentralized however
Oman has a claim here which is fascinating because this makes it so no one else uh can colonize this except Oman and so it’s going to be worthwhile I think for us to be able to colonize Oman and then come in and change their uh their colonization setting to having
Some sort of uh not migration uh some sort of colonial Affairs that way they can call recolonize this uh and gain it regain control of it we are also expecting at some point France to have some sort of native Uprising here and then them to get bricked because they
Don’t have a way to get access here um unless they can move through Portugal which uh they can’t cuz Portugal’s Portugal’s in our Market here they’re in the Roman market for the Roman bread so politically it is pretty annoying that we can’t get this guy out of power and

We’re going to do is we’re going to rake back some of these consumption taxes here we’re going to specifically rake back the the tobacco one and we’ll be losing a little bit of money even though we’re on Max taxes that’s fine and what we’re going to do is we are going to
Both go on to censorship because uh the religious folk will be in favor of this and they’ll be happy about it but also we want to we want to go on to getting rid of them uh and the problem is is they’re really too powerful and so what
We’re going to do is we’re also going to suppress them because we don’t want the Rev to be super huge we are going to provoke a REV when we switch on to uh you know uh being on uh total separation and so as a result of this I think it’s
Going to be a little bit rough and so what we’re going to do is we’re going to suppress them and make them happy right now they’re plus eight happy we are suppressing them uh we will be getting their Authority bonus woohoo uh to be fair that allows us to just put those
Taxes right back in so that’s kind of nice The Authority bonus will go down in value um after a little bit I think we’ll go luxury furniture and then we also want to Target uh upper rung pop type stuff so even though tobacco generates way more that is uh targeting
Kind of lower class we’d rather Target here also the reason why tobacco uh is going to be for us generating so much more than liquor which is liquor is normally the one that’s really really big but for us it’s tobacco it’s because they’re both part of the intoxicant class there are three intoxicants
Tobacco opium and liquor and um we have a bunch of Muslim pops the Muslim pops do not consume or they will not consume the liquor so this means they’ll consume tobacco instead that’s why tobacco is so expensive uh relative or that’s why the consumption tax yields us so much so
We’ll be in pretty good shape here I think we’ll look to expand construction and I think while this will be a little bit slower for passing what we want it might be a little bit more stable it’s a shame we can’t put the the curia in government um while trying to pass this
Cuz their clout would be really really useful but if they’re in government we can’t suppress them and we want to suppress them so uh this is what we’ll be doing in terms of uh this stuff so we get ourselves another company as far as the tech goes we are
Now going to Swatch over to pan nationalism uh before continuing along our merry way towards malaria prevention actually I think we’re going to just finish up malaria prevention we’ll see what Nat spreads next and then we might do that into malaria prevention but we will be getting ah we’ll just research
Malaria prevention this will not spread finish before we get it uh which will decrease the cost of malaria prevention by quite a bit I think that the UK might already have malaria prevention cuz they’re making pretty quick progress now into hero and so we do want to make sure
That we kind of secure uh at least decent chunks of uh some of this land for ourselves uh because this is where all the rubbers at and we had a really really uh kind of late start on getting there uh we also have access to another
Company and I’m not sure what well okay we do have the Brotherhood of Millers so perhaps we should just go the grain conservatorium that’s definitely not optimal that’s 100% not optimal but you know actually I think we like the Roman steel to be fair Roman steel is pretty
Good here I think uh the 5% State construction efficiency we’re not completely out of peasants yet um this will effectively boost our construction by 50 for free on top of uh we will hit a Prosperity bonus fairly easy and the the throughput on steel is like not inconsequential right it’s not

The side of Portugal then Portugal can’t side against us on against Spain so this is actually something we’re interested in the problem we’re not involved in a play uh with Great Britain and so Great Britain could side against us with Spain and that’s really spooky and so but this
Is the type of thing we’re looking for where we can be on a play side with both Portugal and great Britain such that neither can against us when we go for Spain and then we can you know uh release galacia and Catalonia in order to really free up the coast and give
Ourselves some options to go after oh well this simplifies things immensely Portugal is just willing to straight up become a subject uh in this play in exchange for help so this this solves that problem so it will be just waiting for Great Britain uh to become involved
In a play that we can side on their side with uh and once that happens then of course we will be able to make use of that also just tremendous for us uh because that saves us an enormous amount of infamy like 50 infamy and we could in
Theory try and get the same deal on Spain but I I just don’t think it’s going to happen we have poor relations I think we’re going to do the Spain militarily but that’s a huge Boon for us we also uh have our righteous enough to increase taxes and we decrease taxes for
A little bit I think we’re going to increase them cuz we are uh starting to incur a little bit of trouble I think this is partially on the back of our 5% tax waste though which is you know in addition to the tax waste we are getting
From uh this guy this uh expensive taste guy whom we hate to have the leader of the government we also do have a Communist party now which it do be communistic um and the clout on these guys has come down a little bit not too much though so that’s a bit unfortunate
Being as handsome as we are we just randomly Ru a humanitarian on our intelligencia so we’re not going to be passing total separation immediately instead we’re just going to be passing uh you know multiculturalism as it were uh which will be really big easy now this will make the uh the Civic nobility
Upset it’ll make the Ki upset but the CI won’t be that that upset and so they shouldn’t rev and we will still continue to get to eat uh at their Cloud uh you can see it’s going down at a pretty precipitous rate we are hoping that this suppression continues to work and not

Trade for gaban or South Cameroon this is definitely something we’d be interested in um you know to peel these off the British so once we are no longer involved in a play uh we will be trying to look take a look at who we can trade for especially because there are
Negative events from having split States now wait what’s this oh no we didn’t notice we didn’t notice this okay well this is this is is fine this is all fine it’s not that fine but it’s fine it’s fine we will be fine I don’t know why they did this
Either but it shout out shout out to shout out to the Ottoman Empire just looking to get themselves shellacked and looking to give us uh give us a headache so we’ll just do The Landings uh kind of in the abusive spots which they’re not going to have anyone in that strategic

Getting a ton of this so happy about that especially once we Annex Portugal then we’ll have a lot of additional fronts here uh but that will be a little way down the road so it actually looks like what Lees swayed for was um becoming a protectorate uh you notice

Humiliation uh which and then we go for making the other things primary so let’s lead with humiliation here they of course will not accept not that we would want them to uh and then following this we can put in on them for a bunch of
Other things and if we could pull the U ukuk into this this would be nice but we’re going to wait until it escalates and also see how it develops uh because if a bunch of people join against us then we’ll need to make some sort of
Move uh and maybe need to use our Maneuvers for Stuff other than releasing uh depending on who joins and for what another thing I wanted to note is that we have been nurturing good relations with kind of as much as the GPS as we can by utilizing trade uh trade
Agreements and if you take a look here we have trade agreements basically with every GP which means we are going to have ticking positive relations with these guys um so that they are much less likely to side and plays against us and also much more likely to be willing to
Help us out and so we’ve uh intentionally tried to increase volume of trade improve relations and then get to this point where now we can have good relations with all the GPS and we don’t need to spend any type of influence you can see we’re not spending influence at
All uh improving relations with any of these guys and still simultaneously be able to get this maximum infamy Decay All right so things have developed a little bit wildly but I think we got our Play Locked In they’re uncertain uh but we have a bunch of plus modifiers
Towards making them more certain cuz we’re involved in a bunch of different plays and we have a bunch of debt so I didn’t feel it was too important to make stuff primary but we are going to be liberating Catalonia and then we’re greeting by liberating UA which means
We’ll have to fight Spain down the line but Catalonia might be enough to make them subj uh but we know that liberate u Way longterm is going to be really good because it’s going to liberate these two provinces uh Ching or rather the Heavenly Kingdom joined against us uh
You know to have a bit of a go I suppose uh because they thought that we were weak uh because they wanted the guong treaty Port back to be fair this is what they wanted and so um this is what they put in we swayed UK for ban slavery
We’re going to make sure that this is going to the right spot here that we want it there yeah exactly because the UK also has a treaty Port right there um but we look to be in pretty good shape here we’re a little bit weak on this front we’re extremely

Being in our uh trade agreement and then tried to pull them in the custom Union after that but I think we’re going to be getting them in the Customs Union pretty soon which is going to allow us to siphon off their migrants if we can swap
Them uh which I can’t remember if you can swap someone who’s a customs Union oh they have no migration controls this is fantastic for us cuz this means we will be able to siphon off migrants uh it’s going pretty well against the loud cars outside but more importantly it’s
Going well against Spain and so we’re going to be enforcing pretty soon here um Ching or rather the Heavenly kingdom is being a little bit sticky here uh which is why we’re sending in a landing on their Capital we of course do have some of that business um but we are
Expecting that to go in now it’s kind of the Moment of Truth is how bad does this hurt Spain and is it enough to uh maybe Decay them under being a major power and um they have to if becomes at least 7:30 the rank will increase to great power
Their current Prestige if it goes under 3 wow so they’re they’re more than low enough to become a minor power which is crazy just from the release of of Catalonia that’s wild so that released three states but Catalonia is going to be very likely to be uh pretty uh pretty
Nice to us we’re going to just bankroll them and try and increase relations up as quickly as possible but what we’re also going to do is try to pull them into the market let them fear or sorry not fear let them love the taste of Roman bread yes that’s it not fear the

Like this guy to die we have been waiting for this guy to die for a while we really hate the expensive tastes not good to have not ideal um and he doesn’t it’s not like he has an especially good trait uh to kind of balance it out and
If he wasn’t a president we would just Exile him but since he is a president we can’t um which is just kind of a demonstration of why presidential Republic is a little bit rough uh we might even go after Austria here I think we do need to acrew up some infam yeah
We’re not super super low on the infamy so we have to do stuff but we are finishing out uh you know this this Uprising in Papua or Papa uh rather and then as well as this uh you know kind of Civil War over here in Iraq all right so it looks like we
Can use the yo-yo sway method to get oania for freees good deales um and so this is going to be excellent for us what we did is we sided with the Rev and they were unwilling to give us anything before but now now that we’re threatening we’re saying hey you know

And we are getting that for freees good deales we’re still on 10 infamy we do need to Decay the infamy down a little bit we probably actually should have declared a play before that but you know 10 is a decent amount to Decay down and we are not expecting anyone to get
Involved in this war so we’re expecting this to be a real proper stomp um but getting both Portugal and oxitan for free you know all it cost was us of course founding not just the Brotherhood of Millers but the uh what is it the Guild of Millers as it were rather big

To need to put them in again this is the presidential Republic thing so what we’re doing is we’re not actually going for State atheism we’re going to do state atheism and then try and swap back to Total separation we hope that this works um I’m curious to see if we actually lose

Actual historic Roman looking borders um with a few additions from Arabia cuz we’ve already kind of worked our way into there where we you know stretch all the way up into here the problem or the really big difficult one will be getting kind of the English core lands uh that
Might be that might be a bit much for us Shay Well’s been out here clapping cheeks taking names and at the first sign of trouble AKA signing against them uh they are more than willing to become our subject instead so we will do that and then we will help them Clap the
Cheeks because they will be conquering all of Ethiopia for us which is going to be big night um so all we will have to do is just kind of wait because uh they will be able to take care of this themselves and then they will Annex Assa and we get

So maau was applying to that so that’s probably not ideal but we did release Catalonia uh Spain is notably a minor power now so that means we can subjugate them uh but they are probably going to come back up they’ve had a nice recovery since uh their Market has greatly
