Tell people Dr Grant when you have an opportunity to share and all you that are ministers and pastors and leaders when your pastor gives you an opportunity to share there there are three T’s to good preaching and teaching number one take the text number two teach the lesson and number three take your
Seat take your text don’t take all day take your text teach the lesson and then take your seat that’s good preaching you don’t have to go to Bible College don’t go have the shaw Seminary that’s good preaching and so it happened in the fall
I met Dr Grant in 1982 he led me to the Lord we develop a relationship the last over 40 years to this day and what happened in the fall of 1985 is what I’m going to get into the text tonight that transformed our life been in Winston Salem State Greensboro College and
Surrounding colleges I came back from a conference in Atlanta called building a neomi generation God began to birth me through those young people about starting 6:00 morning prayer on the college campus the fourth Monday in August of 1985 I called prayer I was a student body president for some Student
Government president ENT from 1985 to 1986 and I said let’s pray over 85 young people showed up at Harrison be Harrison Auditorium to pray at 6:00 in the morning we started Monday Wednesdays and Fridays it got so good we went six days a week and the prayer was a situation
Where my wife lived or worked on benett campus she will walk and about 4:00 or 5 them will walk in the dark of the night to come to prayer at 6:00 on aunt’s campus we would meet if you know where the railroad tracks are over there I
Would meet her there and then they would come to pray at 6:00 a.m. 6 days a week out of that prayer began to burst something in our life that transformed that campus and little did we know 40 some years later that Revival that started with just a handful of college
Student is yet biring in our life today I’m going to the text but I want to say this to women and men and women in Ministry I gave my wife a book in my senior year and the book was entitled a glimpse into glory on the back of that
Book it was by Katherine kumman a female evangelist who had a great ministry and on the back of that book in I quote she said that the ministry that I had was a dang for a man but no man was willing to pay the price so I
Went so prayer is about paying the price and whether or not you’re going to do or not as a lifestyle not not when it’s convenient but as a lifestyle and so when I want to encourage you tonight here whether you are retired whether you’re working whether you’re visitor to
This church whether you’re member of shs of blessing nothing is going to happen in your city a county until the people of God get on their face and be willing to pay the price and for so many people in the era of convenience we’re not willing to pay the price let let me

Knowledge of them that they had been with God one of the things that we look at prayer not just as communication to God but whether or not God is able to speak back to the church and God has raised up in this hour churches Ministries young people that’re
Not only willing to pay the price in prayer but that are willing to stay so close to God that we’re able to discern what God has called the church to do in this hour from these two passages of scripture acts 4:13 and Philippians 3 and 10 is that that’s what’s going to
Have to happen on our college campuses again Dr Grant was right when he said when we hit campus in 1982 the frats the sororities football they they they were as we said they were running the yard they they they were the influencers on campus all of a sudden a group of people
Got together and started saying you know what we’re King’s kid and we start witnessing the people in the cafeteria we start witnessing people at it was Parkers then across the street of mentt we got a bull home when everybody was in the yard out there playing football God
Had given us so much favor on campus that they start playing the secular music and start listening to the gospel in our dorm rooms young people were getting saved young people made up in their minds that I’m saved now so I’m stopping drinking I’m not going to party
Anymore I I’m not going to commit forication anymore I’m saving myself now for my future husband or my wife God gave us such a boldness such a frankness s s such a a time with him at 6:00 in the morning prayer if you miss prayer we
Want to know what’s wrong with you we held each other accountable we did no single dating when Pastor Grant talked about me dating my wife that he was along with me to keep Meen y’all looking funny to keep her really keep me not her keep
Me save and so what happens now when we fast forward in the church in this hour prayer is going to be the key and we we looking God is looking for young men and young women who have their ear so tuned to God that God would do new things on

That we used to do Pastor Grant and I had such a commitment to the things of God the Saints forgot to pick us up for church remember that lady P we we start walking down toown Greensboro our Pace was’t enough we had on ties and
Shirts and had our bre we ran all the way from ent’s campus over by Freeman Mill Road with dress shoes on and a briefcase and when we got there the service was ending but it taught us a level of commitment and in this hour if people are not willing to pay the price
And you’re not willing to be committed what’s going to happen the ills outside these four walls are coming in but when the people begin to pray and begin to seek the face of God you begin to see things change not only in our Comm I
Mean I wonder how many of you all that are here that have a word from the Lord the king said in Jeremiah 37 it came when Jeremiah was locked up in the prison the Bible yet found him in the prison and said young man is there any
Word from the Lord so when the governors the mayors the city council says what can we do about crime what can we do about the fit and all poisoning and death in our world there’s a people that God has raised up in this hour who have no greater desire than to please
Him I want to give you two things that I’m done about the power of prayer number one I said already are you willing to pay the price I’m not talking about when it’s convenient I’m talking about you willing to pay the price every day the Bible says in Philippians 3 and

The introduction oh my goodness the mission of the Gospel Choir is to stimulate promote and provide a social religious organization that Embraces the love of gospel music The Gospel Choir was initially conceived and organized in 1969 my God a were one year old foury old was a long
Time by Albert Smith and Vernon Hatley director of Athletics and president of the Baptist Student Union respectively they Envision the choir as an opportunity for North Carolina an uh students to maintain the religious traditions of their ancestors through spiritual and gospel songs over the years the choir has added Dimensions to
The religious life of the University and the greens burrow Community I first of all want to thank uh sister anesta Harold who’s a former member where’s anesta at is she she probably around here there she go former member of this choir she helped coordinate this and we
