Around what 10 11 guys that were committed and and and I’m just including everything else but before with Sabin we had I think around like seven eight nine guys notable names like Jamie French that’s a big one that’s from this area five star type guy um but of course they
All decommitted literally Within two days because of Nick sav’s departure and obviously now that kayin dor has established his his recruiting staff um or and and or in a way right kind of what a lot of people are calling the many the miniature saving disciples that’s kind of running around Tuscaloosa
And running around the country flying on Jets matter of fact there was actually a pitcher with Courtney right with Courtney borgan and they’re just on the Jet and they’re just man they’re just they’re going in they’re listen they are taking this thing extremely seriously
And uh man you know alab like this is a is a different time right this is a different time different breed a lot younger a lot younger guys different right right different philosophy in terms of how to handle recruits and like I said these coaches are a lot
More they’re a lot they’re they’re kind of like the player they’re kind you know they’re kind of like the players a little bit right they love to kind of go ahead and they like to take videos while they’re in practice they love to take selfies love to they’re not afraid to to
Show themselves all right these are outgoing coaches and for the most part you know they the players fill them right the players fill them and if the players are filling them the players feel like they can relate to the to these coaches to these right to a lot of
The Alabama staff including a part of the recruiting staff and Personnel staff that’s a great thing so it’s a different era it’s a different handling you know as far as recruiting goes and yeah getting a guy like Derek Smith I mean that’s that’s a big deal right 61 195
Pounds um is I believe from the state of Al is from the state of Alabama yep he’s from Selma Alabama right kind of more of a two-way athlete um played basketball um of course at football was literally an athlete played all with the football field I think was a quarterback receiver
Um right he’s got all the athletic ability all the athletic tills I’ve seen a little bit of his honey tape right I’ve seen a little bit of his tape but I haven’t really gone that much into detail because I think coach Sean and Coach M they’ve gone way more into
Detail than I have um but like I said I think the most part is we’re controlling in the region right that’s the biggest part about it all guys is that we’re controlling the region and as long as we can control the region which is Alabama right controlling that which is Alabama
That’s huge right we got to lock up our own State we got we got competitors right we got Auburn um that we have to compete against right that’s not easy Georgia loves to come into Alabama of course we all know Clemson right Clemson loves recruiting that Central Phoenix
High School area like they love controlling that that Phoenix area um right we got a lot of competitors and we lost players from our own State Big Time Players and now for us to go ahead get and try to get our get back and we’re taking this thing extremely seriously
That’s really really huge and if we take a look at the crystal balls which I got to pull up the crystal balls real quick guys um Alabama man they’re not a joke right Alabama is the name for at least six or seven dudes that’s a part of the
Crystal ball and it’s a big deal it’s a it’s a it’s a very very big deal um as as far as what’s happening right now in recruiting it is it is nuts um so yeah big git but you know what a lot of these you know these these leading
Recruiters as far as what they’re talking about and you know for the most part what they got chrisal right it’s it’s only gonna be a matter of time um and just I’m reading some of the names real quick like yeah you got Daryl Johnson right he’s Crystal B com to

Kirby Smart you have guys uh like L like Lane kein who was trolling all day on Twitter um but you got drinkwitz from Missouri right you got all these coaches and then you bring in Brent venol who’s a phenomenal recruiter right as far as as far as forming a a coaching staff
That has has been killing it on the recruiting Trail obviously we see what Texas has been doing on the recruiting Trail it’s a lot of schools that you got to compete with and so for kayin dbor who’s not really known to be a great recruiter to kind of come in here form
His own staff from all different areas of the country some names people didn’t really heard of some names they were familiar with but still didn’t really have Rich history and to form the step that he’s been able to do so far and for Alabama to at least be in consideration
To a lot of these kids um and and not just in the Southeastern area but also from the West Coast there’s a there’s a lot of kids look Co look coach moo he got his resources coach moo coach Mooky on that he on that thing he on that
Thing in the South I’m on that thing in the west coast baby I’m not gonna lie to you you know what I’m saying like I’m I’m I’m not I’m not going to lie there’s a lot of kids from the West Coast that’s interested now because of kayin debor because of coachings have this
Established Demarcus Shepard there’s a lot of kids now that have drawn interest um and boy I’m telling you it is going to be I listen I’m not saying it’s GNA happen in the next you know this month next month or that we you may not hear anything until we get to like
Around summertime fall time but I’m telling you there’s a lot of kids don’t be surprised man if you see a lot of kids from not just the California state but look at the the Pacific Northwest look at the Washington area look at the Oregon area look at the well Idaho we
Haven’t done system stuff like that but still like look at the Oregon area the Washington area the Utah area there’s a lot of kids that have drawn general interest and as the scholarships continue to go on and on and on and on boy it is it’s it’s going to be crazy
It’s going to be crazy so yeah shout out to Dereck Smith uh for committing to the University of Alabama um I know a lot of you guys in chat are probably more familiar with him than I am a lot of you guys are probably been on it but boy oh
Boy oh boy hell of a signing oh hell of a commitment see it already feels like a signing already I forgot we got to wait until December for early signing period but still it’s a win it’s a win especially when you take a look at all

With the kids now than I think that Nick sa had because Nick Savin was tough like Nick Sav was a father figure right he was more of a father father figure he had a coaching staff that yes they were they were relatable but they were more relatable as kind of like those father
Figures tough nut type tough nut you know th those type figures right guys that are going to get on you whenever you’re gonna make a mistake and and and honestly it’s a great thing because parents you know you’re you’re know you have a 17 18 year old child that
You’re trying to pass over to to college and of course let’s be honest it’s Alabama the University of Alabama it is tempting right it is tempting you go to a university um it’s tempting and right as a coach you know or I’m sorry as a parent you have to trust a coach like
How can I trust my co how can I trust this coach to take care of my kid for the next three to four years right how can I make sure that my kid doesn’t you know cause trouble um that he’s on top of his grades right he’s on top of his
Education so he can get his degree um and that he’s doing the things that he needs to be to be successful potentially go on to the next level whether if that’s going to the profession whether that’s playing in a professional League or you want to go out and and do another
Type of sort of profession and Nick Sabin was that type of guy that parents trusted because of the track record that he came in and just because of the overall coaching staff and the demeanor that set precedent this coaching staff is a little bit more different they’re
Relatable but it’s not like coach sain’s coaching staff in the past this is much more of a relatable staff that gets along with these kids that gets along more with a lot more of the parents like they’re more like big brother type figures if that makes sense like they’re
More of course they’re influential in their own way but they’re more like big siblings Big Brothers Big Sisters right they’re going to look out for them but in today’s era like you want younger guys you don’t want 50 60 year old type cats or late 40s guys you want guys that
Are in their 30 you want guys that are at least like in the early 40s you want guys that are that are a lot more relatable to this generation and the fact that kayin debor was able to kind of establish that staff and you can take a look at it the Selfies you
Look at Courtney Morgan not that long ago he’s freaking in a jet taking a selfie like I I mean like these like these cats are a lot more relatable now to this generation especially look at the music that that these coaches are playing like they’re they’re playing NBA
Young boy they’re playing Little Dirk like I’m like I’m like damn I’m like yeah like of course players would do that but let’s be honest can you imagine Nick Sabin playing NBA young boy in the locker room or Nick Sav playing NBA young boy in his in his coaching in his
Uh in his uh in his office like come on man like that’s something that we won’t even imagine so these coaches are a lot more relatable they’re more like big brother type figures influential figures um than I would say than the staff that Nick Sabin has kind of put together but
Like I said this is a different era of recruiting um to be fair like I said you know kids like I said i’ I’ve been around it I’ve seen you know I’ve talked to kids that have committed to like Syracuse and buffalo like at least like in the North Eastern and like the
Midwestern area and that’s where they want to go to they want to go to places that are relatable they want to go to places that make them feel like they’re act like they have haven’t left that they haven’t left at home even though they’re traveling thousands of miles to
Go to the to play for this University and it’s just it’s a different age a different era and uh yeah the fact that we’re having that we’re starting to see or generate a lot more success or in the future we’re going to generate a lot
