Sisters how have y’all been welcome back to another episode of the woman intentionally podcast your girl has been gone for 2 and 1 half months but so much good stuff has happened in those two and a half months so I think it’s only right that we catch up I want to know what’s
Going on in y’all’s lives I want to know what’s been going on how you’ve been doing how the first couple of months of 2024 has been for you and kind of talk about what we’re planning to do in the second quarter of the year um yeah so let’s get into It y’all we are almost well we’re basically halfway through the month of March and so I think the last time I came on was at the beginning of January if you didn’t know I’m still active duty and I just completed the Equal Opportunity advisor course down in
Florida and so I was there for two months training for the next position that I’m going to take um um at my unit so it was such a great experience I decided to just take that time to really allow God to pour into me to focus more on growing Spiritual Development all
Those things praying more consistently all the things right building habits even though I wasn’t at home it was such a good experience to just have time to myself now y’all know as moms we can get so caught up and taking care of everything everybody else and doing all the things that we can
Easily um forget what it’s like to just take care of ourselves so that is what the past two months has allowed me to do to just take care of Whitney I miss my kids I missed my husband but baby when I tell you I took advantage of the time
That I had to myself because when I’m home there are so many other things that I have to do so it was a really good way for me to start the year I believe and and um a lot of good came out of that so
Um one of the things that I feel like I really learned and have just been more in tune with is um just valuing prayer I mean God had already started doing that in me before the new year but I mean having time and like making that a
Priority um was very very good for me and so I guess I just want to start this thing out asking you where are you with your prayer life like is prayer a thing for you is it something that you just do when you need something or is it something that you genuinely
Intentionally take time to do take time to talk to God I’ve had some women even tell me that they don’t pray for themselves they find it easy to pray for everyone else but they find it challenging to pray for themselves like it almost feels like it’s being selfish
To pray for themselves when even in the way the Lord tells us to pray right um in the Lord’s Prayer lead me not into temptation but Deliver Me From Evil like the Jesus is telling us that we have to pray for ourselves like we need to pray
That we won’t be led into temptation right so um it was just so beautiful even in that moment to just recognize like how important it is for us to have a prayer life and so these past couple of months not only praying by myself but praying with other women if you didn’t
Know we have a prayer call every morning at 5:30 a.m. eastern time where everyone can call in and pray with us and it has been amazing okay it has been amazing coming together with my sisters and praying before this class I didn’t have an opportunity to go somewhere for two
Months and to spend time by myself focusing on my relationship with God but we don’t have to it doesn’t but in reality it doesn’t require you to go away from your home like being intentional about setting aside some time for God every day is still valuable
And important um one of the things we talked about in the um office hours which is something that we do like uh every other Thursday or or Friday we have office hours and it’s a time where we come together on Zoom as sisters it’s not recorded and we just kind of talk
About um things that we are going through as women or ways that we can work on ourselves um in order to grow in our faith and grow in our spiritual journey and so um one of the office hours which was this month I have been talking about growth in the type of
Heart that we have and one of the things that we talked about was you know how intentional are we about making time for God we I brought up the point that we give the job 40 hours a week off the top right because we see the job as our
Provision as our provider because they’re sending us the pay paycheck but in reality God is our provider right he says that he is our Pro provider and so we have kind of forgotten that myself included at times kind of forgotten that God is the ultimate provider but I don’t
Give him as much commitment as I give to my job because I forget that they’re not the ultimate provider but God is and so I think if we can shift our perspective to recognize and to remember that God is our provider then we should be able to
Commit to him and trust in him not for things but just because he is our overall provider he Prov he’s providing everything we that we need not just our money so today’s challenge for you off top is how much time are you intentionally setting aside for God
Whether that’s 15 minutes in the morning 15 minutes at night what are you doing to set yourself what are you doing to set a side time for God I’m in a mentorship with um a lady named karita and when we had our one-on-one prayer time um she was talking to me about
Consecration and how important it is to set aside time where that side where it is solely committed to God and so um you know one of the things that I do y already know I’m on social media all the time and I keep sharing this I’m sharing
This because um of how of a how much of an impact it it has I feel like it is made on my level of discipline and just my intentionality about the time that I spend with God so um at first I was like I’m going to take an hour of just
Committing an hour off of social media every day and then it was almost like as if I knew that that wasn’t enough for me right and so um I felt led to do from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. no phone no social media I have limited people who
Can get through on my phone but I set that that time aside because it’s so easy get caught up scrolling and even though I’m like oh Lord I’m doing this for a good reason girl I get caught up scrolling just like anybody else right and so even though I you know was doing
It and and there are some good to it at the same time I wasn’t committing the same amount of intentionality and time to my relationship with God or to just silencing all the voices so what I have committed to doing is from 8 to 8 no phone no social media I can watch
YouTube if I’m watching watching a sermon or something but I’m not just mindlessly watching videos or anything like that and I and I I try to keep it to a minimum when it comes to the video sometimes I feel like we are so used to
The noise and all of the things going on and hearing all the voices and hearing all the perspectives hearing me hearing all the people that we will begin to hear people’s voices before we hear God’s voices for example I love watching Jackie H Perry and learning from her
She’s a great teacher but if I st hard to think man what would Jackie do instead of what would Jesus do you know it’s like maybe I’m consuming too much of Jackie and not enough God so not in a bad way right the things that I was referring to were good things but
Instead of referring because I had read and really taken in what Jesus said um from the Bible even though she’s teaching what he said I I wasn’t spending that time intentionally with God so that was a that was that has encouraged me to try and spend more time
Consuming God than I do other things right there are sometimes where I’m not gonna be able to study girl I drive an hour and a half every day to and from work I can’t read my I can’t I’m not about to be studying my Bible while I’m
Driving I’ll put on a sermon and even throughout the day girl I listen to sermons I love consuming sermons and things like that but at the same time sometimes I’m sitting around you know just looking hungry thirsting for something in reality God is trying to
Get me to commune with him and because I am so used to and programmed to putting on the TV putting on a c i me because I’m so used to because I’m so programmed to put on a sermon or put on something else my mind doesn’t automatically go to
Pick up my Bible and so and so consecration is one of the things that has encouraged me to um pick up my Bible being alone you get a chance to feel what it’s like to not have kids in the background screaming everybody talking to you listening to everything
All these different things going on and so when you consecrate yourself or when you commit time to being consecrated it gives an opportunity to silence all the voices to specifically and intentionally listen for God God what are you asking me right now what are you wanting from
Me right now are you wanting me to have the TV on even I got like little jazz music playing in the background do you want me to turn turn that off and just listen to nothing and give you an opportunity to speak to me
Yeah yes I I want you to I want you to just silence all of the other voices and sometimes we we even need to silence our own voices because we have so many thoughts going through our heads about what we need to do what we want to do
How we’re going to fix it that we don’t take time to go to God and say Lord how do you want to fix it how do you want me to deal with what I’m going through or um approach the situation that you are working on in my life or the thing that
I’m I’m putting before you I’m saying oh God I want you to do this or I need you to do this so I’m going to do this this and that so when I say that and then I say I’m going to do it’s like I’m not
Even giving God an opportunity to do it I’m just taking it into my own hands and so Consecration and taking time to just be silent y’all the scripture be slow to speak and quick to listen has just been in my heart lately I am wanting and Desiring to embody that scripture as a
Woman of God like I find beauty in women who are able to just sit quietly without always having to say something now I know I’m on a podcast talking right now that’s a gift that God has given me but it takes a lot of self-control and discipline to sit and just listen but
When you sit and listen you hear so many things God can speak you hear the burdens of people’s hearts and you learn what and how to pray for people and just you just learn and so that is a goal of mine to be slow to speak and quick to
Listen outside of my podcast you know when I’m talking here by myself but in settings where I’m with other women I don’t want to feel the need to always have to say something right and so that’s like a goal of mine a spiritual goal goal of mine that that has really
Been something that I’ve been Desiring for a while and I see God doing it little by little and it and it feels really good so I’m excited about that aspect of it but again prayer consecration where are y’all with that um and y’all already know by now there
Is no shame like I have been Sav for so long but girl ain’t just just learning stuff and I was thinking about that today like looking back looking back over my life like I really thought I was like sold out and living for Jesus at 22
Right when I was all my knowledge want to tell everybody about Jesus and God is so great and so good that he just takes us from Faith to Faith and glory to glory I never understood that until now like when you look back over your life
You’re like man I really thought I knew something then and then now even now in this moment there’s still so many things that I don’t know that God wants to show me and that are going to come with me getting older and gaining more wisdom and more experience and so it is this
Sense of being content that you don’t know it all being content that you are ever learning that we are ever dependent on God and on the Holy Spirit to lead and to teach us and not feeling like we have arrived it is a beautiful thing it makes
Me feel as though there’s so much grace from God like he has a desire to be gracious and merciful with us like he doesn’t expect us to know it all because if we knew it all we would have no need for him and so in accepting that we
Don’t know it all and that we are growing just like everybody else we’re just maybe at different levels and different seasons but you know having that mindset of I’m always going to be growing and always going to be learning it takes off some of the pressure right it takes off
This pressure to be perfect and to perform and all these things because God didn’t intend for it to be like that and when we acknowledge that we have grown and that we are growing and that we still have a lot of growing to do I think it’s a beautiful thing because you
Stay hungry for god um and that’s what he wants from us ultimately because that is what’s going to draw us to continuing to come back to him to continue to come back to him in prayer um one of the things I’ll share about prayer that I
Don’t know if I learned it in these two months but um one of the things that I know a lot of people say I don’t know how to pray or I don’t be feeling like praying sometimes I don’t feel like praying that’s all of us our flesh probably ain’t really never going to
Feel like praying um one of the things that kind of you know one of the things that kind of blew my mind about prayer is that sometimes when we don’t want to pray it can be like an underlying sense of Pride almost like our first mindset
Is to figure it out or to just focus on it intensely and strategize and all the things when um God really desires for us to come to him and pray and seek Him for how to deal with the things that we are going through in life and not even going
Through but just how we’re living and who we are as people as women so um I hope that from this you are thinking about yourself thinking about where you are in your desire from God and I even want to encourage you if you feel like man I just don’t have the same
Desire I don’t have a desire to pray I don’t have a desire to really fast girl I still don’t necessarily have a desire to fast okay I just force myself to do it because I know I need to um but I don’t have a desire to do none of that I
Just I mean I’m not a bad person like if we’re thinking like that I want to encourage you to pray for that God give me a desire to pray give me a desire to read your word God give me a desire to be around Godly women give me a desire
To want to be a woman of God a true woman of God not just externally but internally God surround me with women who have the same desires allow me to be a woman that has the desire that has a desire for God that draws other women to
Have a desire from God um in this two months I I remember at the beginning feeling like oh my goodness like I’m going to be gone for 2 months I’m not going to be putting out no episodes um but the pressure left so quickly because it’s like Whitney
Everyone should be walking out their own Journey everybody should be walking out their own Journey their own intimate relationship with God so that if you go away for two weeks if you go away for two months people’s relationships are still going to keep going you ain’t that
Important okay so God will keep them because he is the one should be drawing them to anyway and so I want to encourage you consider where your relationship with God is where is your relationship where is your desire for him and if it’s not there I want to
Encourage you to pray about it um if you have someone in your life that doesn’t have a desire for God I want to encourage you to pray for them for God to give them a desire for god um it could be your husband it could be your children it could be family
Members ask God to give those people a desire for him and and I’m telling you he will begin to blow your mind okay all right another thing that came up during this time of consecration or just being separated was recognizing how much witchcraft is enticing people enticing Christians and how many people don’t
Even realize they’re operating or dealing with witchcraft um some of the books that you’re reading some of the music you are listening to and some of the um things that we participate in are witchcraft these are the things that hinder us right um the music that we
Listen to some of the artist most of the artists are very um are very proud and bold about who they serve and who they worship and the OB jective of their music I just want to encourage you today to consider what music you are listening to I’m praying right now that the Holy
Spirit Will begin to unction you you’re listening to and watching things that don’t line up with the holy spirit that don’t line up with the word of God it’s not my job nor can I condemn you for what you listen to but as your sister I just want to encourage you to evaluate
The music that you’re listening to next time you get in your car and you put on a song the radio plays a song I want to encourage you to listen to the words are those words leading you closer to Christ or further from Christ even if you don’t
Do them what are those words encouraging you to do what are the U messages that are being sent and what is the intent behind the words that are being Sayang in the song the second thing I want to bring up are zodiac signs and like obvious witchcraft so as Christians one
Of the reasons that we don’t allow astrology or zodiac signs to tell us who we are is because God created us and he desires that we come to him for our purpose that we lean on him for our identity to tell us who we are we trust
His um View and plan and will for our lives instead of reading a horoscope I have Sagittarius tude on my stomach because when I was 19 I just wanted to put Sagittarius on my stomach so listen I have done it I have looked at my uh horoscopes and all that stuff and they
Seemed pretty accurate I even taught my son this and I pulled it up and I read mine I read his and he was like man that sounds kind of that sounds kind of like you mom that sounds kind of like me and I told him and explain to him how it
Also can limit us when we allow ourselves to be guided by these boxes that the enemy tries to put us in it doesn’t allow room for God to use us for how he intended to use us you have to question for yourself where is this knowledge coming from does God tell you
To seek the stars for your identity does God tell you to seek wisdom from your dead ancestors for your identity does God tell you to communicate with your dead ancestors for uh comfort and all of that no he gave us the Holy Spirit as a comforter he gave
Us his word to tell us who we are and what our purpose is in this earth and how we should live our lives and so we don’t go to familiar spirits and we don’t look to astrology to tell us who we are um because that’s not what God
Wants for us so if you are doing any of those things please sis reconsider repent and then ask God to take away your desire for those things and that’s something I’m I’m definitely going to be doing an episode coming up here um soon about astrology and why we don’t do
Those things as Christians going more in depth but but I just just want to let you know that if you are still using those as a Christian God is not pleased and so I would challenge you to look into it I would challenge you to seek God
About whether or not you should be doing it and then repent and then start to really seek God for who you are your character what he expects of you and all of those things instead of relying on this box that feels good because it’s so accurate about your personality and who
You are our wisdom comes from God not from zodiac signs and familiar spirits and demons okay period the third thing I want to bring up is sororities and fraternities um I’m coming out the gate okay I ain’t been here in two months and I’m just coming out the gate
But it needs to be done okay sororities and fraternity sis if you are involved in one to watch the video linked below I did one about the divine nine and um I did an interview with a girl who used to be in AKA and just talking about all of
The things that go into being in those organizations and what they require you to do bow down to false gods and things like that and so why those things may be hindering your walk and your your ability to desire God and so I want to encourage you to watch that video and
Then repent watch that video repent ask God to forgive you and break your covenants that you’ve made with those organizations and then seek God about how he specifically wants you you to deal with those um affiliations the last thing I want to talk about is the company that we keep our friends um
Family members that we feel bad for um distancing oursel from um if you are going to get serious about your relationship with God you have to get serious about the relationships that you have here on Earth how are they influencing you how are they helping you
Grow how are they holding you back and being real about those things sometimes it’s going to be family members sis sometimes you are going to have to distance yourself from family members and I only say distance because you need to get built up to where you can help
Snatch them out of the fire if you are staying in the fire with them um in the things that don’t please God or allowing yourself to be close enough to the fire that you don’t really get delivered that you can still feel the heat you won’t be
Able to snatch them out but when you separate yourself and you allow God to clean you up and do a new thing in you that is going to be noticeable to everyone that you used to be around and the people that you’re currently around
And so I think of it as like a sacrifice that you make in your heart and flesh right because you love these people you’re not hating them you’re not treating them differently you just separate yourself so that you can grow the way God needs you to grow and then
You are able to snatch them out of the fire you’re able to go back can get those people and pull them out because Jesus didn’t come for perfect people he came for the sick he came for the people who uh the Sinners he came for us and so
Just like we were Sinners and still sin um not habitually but we’re Sinners right we make mistakes we have to have mercy and Grace for other people and so while we grow and we want to grow in God we still have to have love for people
Who are not there yet and that doesn’t mean we K them to the curb but we distance ourselves we we let them know what’s going on and how we’re changing and how we’re growing in love and we pray that God would allow us to be a
Light to them at a different time or or or to be able to now because we understand where they are and where God wants us we’re able to speak to them in a different way in a way that maybe I can’t because I don’t understand their situation right
So considering who is in our Circle and who is around us who’s in influencing us so that you can be a influence to those people that you love and want to see healed and delivered and set free and so um I want you to I’m encouraging you to
Just think about all of those things if you feel like it’s impossible to distance yourself um and that that won’t look like love then that’s something you can pray about Lord help me to show love even though I’m distancing myself I pray that you would remove the people from my
Life that don’t need to be here in this season and God God if these are people that I am supposed to help snatch out of the fire god I pray that when you clean me up you give me wisdom on how I’m supposed to do that Lord I trust that
You are able only you can save only you can heal deliver and set free Lord but help me to plant the seeds that someone else will water so you can eventually bring the increase Lord what is my role in this situation it’s not my responsibility to save anyone but what
Is my role in seeing my sisters delivered what is my role in seeing my father and my mother and my brothers delivered my husband my kids what is my role as a seed planter and seeing these people healed delivered and set free but God first of all what are you trying to
Do in my life in order to heal deliver and set me free what is it that you want to do in me so that I can be truly free in order to help free people the way you freed me that may mean sacrifice um but I trust that the sacrifice will be worth
It I trust that this little separation or this permanent separation will be worth it because I’m going to plant seeds and I’m going to trust that you will eventually bring the increase in those people’s lives because I love them I care for them and you desire that no
Man perish so I know that it is your will to see I know that it is a desire for you to see everyone saved and so what is my role in that so yeah sis I am encouraging you to evaluate your circle and to really pray
About who is in your circle and whose Circle you’re going to be in how are you going to influence people um to live for God by the way you live and the way that God has cleaned you up yeah so yeah um yeah so those are
Those are the things I just want to put on your mind for right now I’m going to be doing episodes about those things here later but I wanted to just catch up with y’all those are some of the things that have been on my heart since I’ve been gone prayer
Consecration um separating ourselves being a royal priesthood we are not like everyone else and I want y’all to put it put that in the chat I’m not like everyone else I am a royal priesthood put that down below I’m a royal priesthood God has called us and chosen
Us I’ve been getting fired up about this scripture here it is First Kings 19 and18 says yet I will leave 7,000 survivors in Israel all the needs that have not bowed down to bail and every mouth that has not kissed him like God is preserving people who are not bowing
Down to bail who are not giving in to the kingdom of darkness people that are not trying to live for God on Sunday and then for bail the rest of the week God still has people who are trying to live that way and we are one of them okay and
So I want to encourage you guys to really press in to really press in to growing in your relationship with Christ to really press in to getting to know him for yourself Mama knew him Grandmama knew him but do you know him right that that’s where we are now and I feel like
This year if we continue with that type of mindset things can only get better things can only get better I’m not saying they’re going to be easy I’m not saying you’re not going to have moments but cuz at the end of the day God has already won this battle that we’re
Fighting here on Earth so um I just want to encourage you to keep pressing in I want to encourage you to um to get serious to get serious about God this is not a Sunday only thing sis God is expecting us to come higher he is expecting us to do more because there
Are some people that he wants us to plant seeds in when we start to grow in God there are going to be some spiritual fruit that come into your life and when people see those spiritual fruit they’re going to want to know H how how how do
You get it to this point and then we give them Jesus that’s planting the seed and when we plant those seeds those spiritual seeds those good spiritual seeds they’re going to produce fruit and then we’re going to see lives changed and so it starts with us though what
Kind of ground do you have that’s what we’re talking about over in the intentional woman safe space this this month which is preparing and cultivating our ground our hearts for growth for spiritual growth so my question is what kind of ground do you have when you hear
The word how does the word fall on you I’m GNA read that right quick so I’m G read that really quick because this is what we have been talking about in the intentional woman safe space on Facebook if you’re not there girl what are you
Doing okay I need you to come on SO Matthew 13 vers um three through however far it goes it says then he told many things in Parable saying a farmer went out to sew a seed as he was scattering the seed some fell along the path and
The birds came and ate it up some fell on Rocky places where it did not have much soil it sprang up quickly because it was shallow but when the sun came the plants were scorched and they withered away because they had no root other seed fell among Thorns which grew up and
Choked the plants still other seed fell on good soil Where It produced a crop 160 or 30 times what was sown Whoever has an ear let them hear and so what God is basically saying is that when you hear the word of God when you hear
Things like this or when you hear a sermon or when you read the word of God for yourself sis which is the ultimate goal when you read the word of God for yourself how does it fall on you do you hear it and it just scatters and you
Just forget what you heard um does it get you excited and emotionally uh upright um emotionally aroused does it do you hear it and you get emotionally excited and then when difficult situations come you forget everything that you heard and you allow the enemy to distract you and you
Go back to your old ways of thinking and doing things um do you hear the word but because so much stuff is going on in your life you forget what you heard and it and it makes you doubt it makes you give up and all the things that you’re
Doing like trying to be successful trying to live and sin trying to do a little bit of Witchcraft but then pray and trying to you know live in the world but then serve God on Sundays all these different things all of these things choke out what you’re reading and choke
Out what you’re hearing so what is really going on how are you hearing that word or is it falling on good ground where you hear it and then you execute you take it and then you make the change with the help of God with the help of
The Holy Spirit not because you’re so great but because the holy spirit is in you leading and guiding and helping you take hold of these things and make the changes in your life because without the Holy Spirit girl you going to be doing a whole bunch of works that ain’t going to
Amount to nothing okay you going to be it’s just going to be hard so you know are you allowing the word to really change you and asking how and asking God to help you receive the word and allow it to produce fruit in your life yeah
Girl that’s it so look I know that was a lot we had to catch up so I just want to encourage you to not give up to continue to press in if you have even the smallest desire to grow in God sis press in press in give yourself Grace but not
Too much grace okay cuz uh Romans 6 and 1-2 says what shall we say to all this should we continue to sin and practice sin as a habit so that God’s Gift of Grace may increase and overflow um certainly not how can we the very ones
Who died to sin continue to live in it any longer since if you have except Jesus Christ into your life habitual sin should be a thing of the past we may slip up we may have mistakes but don’t take God’s grace for granted habitually sinning like we got to let those things
Go and if you ask God he will help you so I want to encourage you to give yourself Grace when you slip up or when you fall short because it’s going to happen but if there is Habitual sin in your life I want to encourage you to let
It go to turn away whatever God whatever you’re doing and finding it hard to let go of God has so much more in store for you if it’s sin and we know that that comes from the enemy then how much more will God do for you how much better will
It be if God gives you the opposite of sin right which leads to life girl give it up God is going to bless you for it okay he’s going to give you something way better than you ever imagined okay make sure you subscribe make sure you
